Finally got done with my newest house!But for some reason it wornt let me uplaod it, keeps telling me its failed to upload. I tried to upload a few other houses as well, and same thing. Not sure what is up with it, but I guess I'll just have to figure it out later. Got to work all day at work again today :( Yay me....

Resource FAQ (updated)
I've been getting a lot of questions concerning my TS3 sims and what custom content I use on them, so I thought I'd write about them here. Besides searching TSR for fun things regularily, I love going on CC hunts on Asian blogs especially, just clicking myself from one to another and never leave a link unexplored - unless they seem shady obviously. My favourites are Lemonleaf, Tifa and Subaxi.
1) SKINTONES: I currently use Ephemera's v2.2 face defaults. My female bodies are EA, as I haven't found a decent substitute that wouldn't have a terrible Pamela Anderson cleavage. Not a fan of boobs up in the throat. The other skintone I use is Subaxi's latest custom Asian skintone for females.
2) I EDIT MY PREVIEW PICTURES: I love fooling around in Photoshop, which accounts to how smooth the sims look quite a bit. Do note though, I always leave the downloadable item fully untouched, so everyone'll know what they get.
3) MY SIMS: So far I haven't uploaded any of them, but most likely will when I have enough time and interest to strip them of custom content. When making them, I use basically every custom slider I've found. I personally use AwesomeMod with the slider min-max scale set to 5x, but of course, any other core mod should do the trick. I spend quite a bit of time on each face I make, tweaking things to be exactly as I want them, and my goal is to make their features at least remotely realistic and unique.
4) CUSTOM CONTENT IN MY PREVIEWS: I mostly use hairs by Newsea, Peggy, Raon and Ulker. I make edits of the textures for personal use on most of them, like smoothening and adding shine. These will unlikely be released since they are pay meshes and included in the edits. Besides our wonderful TSR Artists, I use content by several others as well: I suggest keeping an eye on My Sims 3 Blog for example, there are good finds posted there.
If you have any other questions, go ahead and ask. I'll update this entry with the answers to the best of my ability. :)
Aging-up Woes.
I can't for the life of me figure out why, when I age a sim up/down, their mouth ends up randomly an inch higher/lower than it was as a young adult. How rediculous. My mouth wasn't halfway down my chin when I was 14, and when I'm 34 it won't be touching my nose.

School Issues
I've Been Focusing On School For The Last Few Months And Have Had No Extra Time To Get Online. I Will Try To Make Some Creations As Soon As Possible. I'm Currently Trying To Pull My Grades Up, They Are Very Low Right Now. I Need To Keep My Focus.
Modeling My sims...
Its very hard to get the perfect picture for my outfits.. I cant seem to get a great lighting nor does the picture ever seem as great as the actual outfit on the sim in the game. I think its because of poor lighting.. I have to find a better way to model my sims.

Take a tour of Medieval Mirabello
In every country one finds a castle and Seaview is not any different. Just take a trip to Mirabello Town and you can enjoy the beauty of seeing and having a castle and other manor houses in your own city. I will be concentrating on creating paintings for a short while, the theme being Medieval, so don't be too surprised to see images of grandmasters and other old looking paintings which in my opinion would look good in these types of houses.

On the official site you can download a new world. I have all expansions and stuff packs to sims 3 my username is the same there. I hope to have some of those here as wel. Il am having upload difficulties which are not really mine in nature, but these other sites we all have to deal with.... Artists can be so tempermental. If you, or anyone else thinks I will give people like that, who only appear to be human a second of thought when the time comes to actually do my job? Think Better! lol.. I've been participating in various things at Black Pearl Sims, (you can view all my posts there.) And attempting to work on a legacy project, but I keep getting sidetracked by pretty photos of things to make. But, there are a few things I have to post here, one of which is upcoming. So there's that.

To those who bookmarked me (whom I now have to tell Thank you very much!) and not only, I've been off for a couple of months, but I'll make up for my absence and upload some new stuff soon. Right now I'm working on the preview pictures-- oh, the preview pictures!-- so check back in a few days, when I'm done with all that.
I never fully think about It...
I tend to get too ahead of Myself when Creating a new design For A dress and Put so much detail that I Forget about the Masking ...takes me Forever to finish, but its all worth it in the end. Being a Newb at this I should try to do more simplier Work Until I get better, but It never works out that Way...

Back with the Living
Hi all. I know I've been kind of quiet for awhile. Until the recent blizzard life was kind of blah and uneventful. I am finally over the flu. We had a blizzard here last week and my college (I work at a college) was closed for 3 1/2 days. Mother Nature and the cooties apparently met prior to the snow onslaught because I was down with a rotten string of flu the entire time! Bleh! After a week I'm finally back at work and feel like I'll live. Sheesh. Much to my dismay I didn't get around to doing anything really, except sleeping and blowing my nose, popping meds, etc.
I still plan to do a cabin for Bridgeport but since Outdoor Stuff was on the doorstep I held off until I got that going. Then I got sick, and, well, you know how it goes. I have fiddled with the new stuff a bit. I thought there would be more in this stuff pack. Like family stuff. Activities, etc. The clothes for the ladies are cute. I haven't really checked out the guys yet. So I'm a bit bummed about this stuff pack. Not that I was terribly excited to begin with, but I did think there would be more meat to it.
Let's see... what else... oh, Dragon Age 2 will be here soon. The demo comes out Feb. 22. What that means is sims will probably fall by the wayside for a bit while I decide if I like this new installation or not. Sequels tend to be really good, or really bad. I'm not holding my breath. LOL The huge disappointments and epic fails that were Final Fantasy X-2 and Xenosaga II have scarred my mind forever. Oh, Dark Cloud 2 was a let down too. And I'm sure there are many, many, many others I just can't think of at the moment but they're there, darkening the corners of my mind with their tainted, evil experiences. Many more bad sequels than good. I know it's a matter of opinion. Sims Medieval is due in March too so that will take me away from Sims 3. I'll always come back. Probably sooner than I think. Somehow I don't think I'll be playing Dragon Age 2 for a solid year straight. I actually only stopped playing Dragon Age: Origins because I know I have to let all that go for the sequel (because, you know, it's not really a sequel (just a different game with the same name, but not a true sequel), at least I don't see it that way (if it was really a sequel I'd be loading up my stud of a Grey Warden and continue on with his buttkicking and they wouldn't have mucked with the graphics and enemies and storyline and... I'll stop) to dull the disappointment. LOL I'm such a ray of sunshine.
And you guys are all sitting there laughing at me. "Whatever macgirl." I should've outgrown video games ages ago but it's really the only thing that holds my interest as a hobby. And I rate pretty cool among my son's friends since I'm a gaming Mom and kick their butts nicely on occasion. Keep them in line ya know. Old fart I am not. Although, don't put an FPS in front of me. I'll nod off in a heartbeat. You won't even get me past the lame 20 minute intro cinematic. I loathe FPS games. Just what I want to do, experience everything through tunnel vision and a... hand. Woohoo. Hold me back. I'm gonna go crazy. The realism is so... so... not real.
OK, I'll quit my prattling and hopefully in the near future I'll bring you another lot. I'm grumpy. I think I need chocolate.
GC2 Overview
This is just an overview of Gossip City Act 2 : Motives,
Gossip about the gossipy world of Gossip City. haha
The 2nd part of Gossip City happens a year after the first chapter. A mystery lady arrives a stranger to this gossip filled world of Bridgeport. She's seen immidiately entertained by 'Little Littler' a 1 star celebrity known for keeping a low profile. Someone took a picture and sent it to Lady G who spreads gossip through out Bridgeport, and thus was made headline of the day.
Lady B later comes to the Spencer flat, mistaken for an asipiring model, by not only Lola, but Alex as well.
They met at lola's office, but when she presented her Resume, things became complicated. She claimed to be Christina D'Luca who Lola knows very well. That's where the chapter ends.
If you forgot who she is, on the 1st part of gossip city (Mortality) she's the blond girl who's with Beau Merrick, who was also said to be in a relationship with Mathew Carvel.
When she recieved a mysterious long distance call, she leaves Bridgeport and vanishes from the map completely. But why did people think she's dead? I guess we'll find out on the next chapter.
It's also revealed that James D'luca (Christina's father) passed away, which could explain why Christina disappeared, but why would she leave? What was her reason to leave so urgently without informing anyone? Did she really die? If so, who's this lady B who's claiming to be her?
Why did she leave, and why did she return?
On the 2nd Chapter, new characters were introduced.
One of them is France Carvel, oops, i didnt spoil anything, did I? But you will know about it eventualy, so why shouldnt i just say it?
France also briefly appeared on the first chapter 'there are those who enjoy independence' , but from what? I'm not sure if i'm gonna make him a main character in this (considering his a YA and everyone else are teens), but expect him to be a re-uccuring one.
Another set of characters were introduced from the Ashton side of the City. Marc Ashton and Lily Ashton. On the first chapter, it's said that they moved to Bridgeport just recently, apparently, they left some unfinished buissness which followed them here.
Tempest, Marc's band is also introduced with it's 3 members, Leon Sever, Beau and Van Reuben. Names were also introduced, names like Hannah Livi and a Layla.
Hannah Livi is supposedly Marc's ex-wife who he still loves dearly, they broke up because she didnt like a child, and Marc tricked her into having Lily. Lily is Marc's daughter, whom he and his band raised since birth, she looks exactly like Hannah, hence was called Little livi by Leon. Leon reveals the reason why the band broke up, and it's not because of the chemistry, it's because of Hannah, Marc's heart was broken to the point of no fixing, and finding her would be the only solution, but Leon gaves him a taste of the truth, so maybe he would have a change of heart.
As for the name Layla, Matt mentioned this name in connection with the D'luca's who vanished after James's death. It could be that this Layla is Christina's mother, or someone else completely, but more so, Christina hasnt met this person yet, or so, was she looking for this person?

Feb. 12th, French Chateau Bedroom
The French Chateau Bedroom suite is scheduled for publication on Saturday, February 12th, and it features an elegant canopy doubled-bed, gilt trimmed console table with mirror, cabinet, and nightstand and an ornate table lamp. Console table is cloned from a mirror and has its menu options and the bed has 3 slots for placement of decorative objects.
I plan to create a matching French Chateau Bathroom set sometime in the future--I actually started it (bathroom set) a few months ago and never got back to finishing the set's bathtub and vanity sink. LOL, I have quite a few unfinished Sims 2 and Sims 3 projects clogging my hard drive, but I WILL finish them one day!

Victorian style
Several months ago I got a request for a victorian style window. It came with a picture. So I decided to make that window, but also a lot of victorian decoration stuff. It got a bit out off hand. So here is almost the finished set. Lots of gables, corbels, attic windows and victorian walls. And a chimney cap to put on top of a low wall (made for the chimney to hide).
Hope you like it. I'm planning to upload the house as well!!!
UPDATE: What's coming next?
Windows again! :D Some simple tilt and turn plastic windows. With separate windowsills. And I made some 'construction items' to build thicker walls/wall niches. These items are half as thick as one tile so you can place (using moveobjects on) a sink, or toilet in front of the walltable.

Dublin, Ireland
So, I have created an all Irish neighborhood called Dublin, Ireland(which has a shopping district called Kilkenny, Ireland and a university called The University Of Dublin). The founding family of the neighborhood were the 5 Murphy brothers, who had 5 different aspirations. Now the neighborhood has grown to include the Sullivans(and their 3 kids), The Gallaghers, The Gibsons(Mel is the father and he and his wife have 2 children), The Kellys, The Foleys, and others as well.

Creations & New Friends
I have to give kudo's to the people here for their creating ability, I am seeing somethings that just blow my mind. I am looking forward to establashing a few new friendships with you. I would like to see more things for "boy-child" there just isn't much of that. I know that the "female" is the most desired sim, but as a mother of 3 sons I like and look forward to that male baby being born. I will eat those apples. lol, but it's just depressing that I can't really dress him cute as a toddlar or in style as a child cause it's just not created. And sorry to say that I'm not in the talant range as you people are. Anyway, if your reading this and like to chat via messaging here drop me a line. Love to get to know you. Marla
