Creating Swimming Pools

My sister has built a nice little home for her Sims, but it lacks one thing. While it sits on a Beautiful lot (giving her Sims the "Vista" mod) she has yet to create a swimming pool. Because this house is really nice, your average rectangular pool won't cut it. So I'm seraching for the Simmers who know how to create magnificant pools. I would love to get some advice on how to do this.

Just a quick note to say that I've uploaded the Lara Croft sim that's featured in my Tomb Raider story. Pictured below. She should be published within the next couple of days.

If you are getting a 404 Not Found on any of my downloads...

If you are getting a 404 not found on any of my downloads, it is because you are downloading the Sims2Pack file. Most of my downloads are not available as Sims2Packs, only Sims, Walls, Floors, Ground Cover, Lots, and Pets are available as Sims2Pack files. You must download the zip file instead. To place the zip file in your game you will need winrar from rar labs found Here once you have winrar installed, after downloading the zip file right click on the stack of books of my file, and select extract here. Create a new folder (unless you already have one) called Downloads in your My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 then drag and drop the package file extracted from the stack of books zip file to your Downloads folder.

Hiii, This is my first blog post on TSR, so i hope you'll enjoy it. :D

SimSylvia40, i loved your house My Way 10, i use it with ALL my familys that have a toddler or child, I mean, the playground was an AWESOME touch. :D

Greda, your baby furniture really helped one of my sim familys, they have THREE toddlers!! THREE!! and your furniture really helped, two of them are twins. :DDD they are noow both teens, while the third is an young adult. tee hee.

mensure, Your probably going to be my msot favourite TSR artist here, Because i have downlaoded almost EVERY Winnie The Pooh item you have made, since Winnie the Pooh has got to be my most favourite show ever since i was four. i dont watch it anymore now, since my mom thinks i'm "too old" for it, but i still have this winnie the pooh blanket,and i kept it ever since i was 8. so that proves that ur probably going to be my favourite TSR artist. :D

since it might not allow me to write any more artists, i want to thank any others i might have forgotten or failed to write down. but i'm sure i'll write a full list next time. :D

well what can I say adding lighting to objects not as easy as it looks too many light entrys crash full game :( so still trying to find the balance between letting light through my garage windows and crashin game. The meshes look good though colour my new mesh black and it would be hard to tell the differance from the ea mesh :) hope to up load small, double and normal size garge doors as soon as light issue is fixed

The Next Series of Tomb Raider

Hello all,

I just thought you might want to know that I'm currently working on the next series of Tomb Raider which is based upon the 'Legend' game. It might be a while yet though, because I've just started working at a video shop and I'm starting TAFE tomorrow. Anyway just thought I'd say something so you all know I'm still writing :)

New Design :)

Hi,

I just changed my minisite design. I think it was high time to do it. New year- new design (a little bit later). After green and blue, I decided to use black - I wanted something strong. I hope you like it. I want to thank to ES3C for these wonderful heart glasses and juzhitu for the nose piercing and of course, to Newsea for this amazing hair. My Sim wouldn't look like this without them.

I want to thank you for all your wonderful comments. I am not always able to write back so I want to know that I really appreciate each of them.

Problems

Finally got done with my newest house!But for some reason it wornt let me uplaod it, keeps telling me its failed to upload. I tried to upload a few other houses as well, and same thing. Not sure what is up with it, but I guess I'll just have to figure it out later. Got to work all day at work again today :( Yay me....

Resource FAQ (updated)

I've been getting a lot of questions concerning my TS3 sims and what custom content I use on them, so I thought I'd write about them here. Besides searching TSR for fun things regularily, I love going on CC hunts on Asian blogs especially, just clicking myself from one to another and never leave a link unexplored - unless they seem shady obviously. My favourites are Lemonleaf, Tifa and Subaxi.

1) SKINTONES: I currently use Ephemera's v2.2 face defaults. My female bodies are EA, as I haven't found a decent substitute that wouldn't have a terrible Pamela Anderson cleavage. Not a fan of boobs up in the throat. The other skintone I use is Subaxi's latest custom Asian skintone for females.

2) I EDIT MY PREVIEW PICTURES: I love fooling around in Photoshop, which accounts to how smooth the sims look quite a bit. Do note though, I always leave the downloadable item fully untouched, so everyone'll know what they get.

3) MY SIMS: So far I haven't uploaded any of them, but most likely will when I have enough time and interest to strip them of custom content. When making them, I use basically every custom slider I've found. I personally use AwesomeMod with the slider min-max scale set to 5x, but of course, any other core mod should do the trick. I spend quite a bit of time on each face I make, tweaking things to be exactly as I want them, and my goal is to make their features at least remotely realistic and unique.

4) CUSTOM CONTENT IN MY PREVIEWS: I mostly use hairs by Newsea, Peggy, Raon and Ulker. I make edits of the textures for personal use on most of them, like smoothening and adding shine. These will unlikely be released since they are pay meshes and included in the edits. Besides our wonderful TSR Artists, I use content by several others as well: I suggest keeping an eye on My Sims 3 Blog for example, there are good finds posted there.

If you have any other questions, go ahead and ask. I'll update this entry with the answers to the best of my ability. :)

Aging-up Woes.

I can't for the life of me figure out why, when I age a sim up/down, their mouth ends up randomly an inch higher/lower than it was as a young adult. How rediculous. My mouth wasn't halfway down my chin when I was 14, and when I'm 34 it won't be touching my nose.

School Issues

I've Been Focusing On School For The Last Few Months And Have Had No Extra Time To Get Online. I Will Try To Make Some Creations As Soon As Possible. I'm Currently Trying To Pull My Grades Up, They Are Very Low Right Now. I Need To Keep My Focus.

Modeling My sims...

Its very hard to get the perfect picture for my outfits.. I cant seem to get a great lighting nor does the picture ever seem as great as the actual outfit on the sim in the game. I think its because of poor lighting.. I have to find a better way to model my sims.

Take a tour of Medieval Mirabello

In every country one finds a castle and Seaview is not any different.  Just take a trip to Mirabello Town and you can enjoy the beauty of seeing and having a castle and other manor houses in your own city.  I will be concentrating on creating paintings for a short while, the theme being Medieval, so don't be too surprised to see images of grandmasters and other old looking paintings which in my opinion would look good in these types of houses.

Ea Games

On the official site you can download a new world. I have all expansions and stuff packs to sims 3 my username is the same there. I hope to have some of those here as wel. Il am having upload difficulties which are not really mine in nature, but these other sites we all have to deal with.... Artists can be so tempermental. If you, or anyone else thinks I will give people like that, who only appear to be human a second of thought when the time comes to actually do my job? Think Better! lol.. Uh, hello! (Mesh links fixed, and other news.)

It's been awhile. I caught up with old comments today, and fixed the pillow mesh link for all three sets. If there's anything else broken please let me know. 

Thanks to everyone that's left such sweet comments, on my posts and in the guestbook. I do really appreciate it, even though responding has never been my strong suit. 

I've been participating in various things at Black Pearl Sims, (you can view all my posts there.) And attempting to work on a legacy project, but I keep getting sidetracked by pretty photos of things to make. But, there are a few things I have to post here, one of which is upcoming. So there's that.

I'm not dead.

To those who bookmarked me (whom I now have to tell Thank you very much!) and not only, I've been off for a couple of months, but I'll make up for my absence and upload some new stuff soon. Right now I'm working on the preview pictures-- oh, the preview pictures!-- so check back in a few days, when I'm done with all that.

I never fully think about It...

I tend to get too ahead of Myself when Creating a new design For A dress and Put so much detail that I Forget about the Masking ...takes me Forever to finish, but its all worth it in the end. Being a Newb at this I should try to do more simplier Work Until I get better, but It never works out that Way...
