Modelling!

Finally I took the time to understand Sims 3 modelling!

To be honest it is surprisingly easy if youre already familliar with 3D and texturing :) The only thing what keeps bugging me are specular maps, somehow they never work as how I want them to do o.O

Currently working on a dining set, when I fixed the ridiculous spec on the chair I'll upload it ;)

When thats done I'm gonna take a look at clothing and accessoires, see how that will go ^^

It's been quite a while since my last blog post, but I have to be honest, time goes fast!

It's unbelievable how time flies by when you have school and everything happening at the same time... I spend way too little time playing Sims! Building houses! Well anyways, building houses-wise, I actually have done some work and I've made a couple homes, yet to be decorated.

The name of this series of houses is Simple Luxury and so far I've made 3 and a 4th is in the process of becoming something cute, after a slight hint from my fiancée saying I should do one in pink while I'm at it... So take a look at my little gems and comments are always welcome. They won't be up for download yet, because I'd like to submit them as a set, if I can manage to do that...

O boy o boy..... While building my new set for the hallway there was a fire!!! So my new shoes aren't fireproof LOL

Crash :(

Hi ya All,

Just wanted you to know, my laptop crashed big time :(

It might take some time before I can finish a Simmie, but stay tuned cause I do have a recent backup (from just before the crash), so when my laptop is working again, I can be up to speed soon !!

Now I hope I'll be able to fix my laptop in the next couple of days.

Hi, my name is Mocarth... and I... am an addict

Well, it is day 16 of this blog and I am yet to actually crack open the sim builder in the game to rework Alexandar, Mikeal, Lizbet and Arlene. Yeah I am adding another, but she will be a NPC for the most part as she will figure into the storyline at some point. Arlene is CEO of a mega corp and owner of the Glass Ceiling Lounge. You will be able to see the lounge tomorrow and also download it if you are so inclined. It was approved for submission earlier this morning. I would seriously love to build every property in my new neighbourhood, but there won't be enough time for that as I will get impatient to start playing the game. Currently working on a graveyard, and will be getting to work on other community content soon. I have plans for some houses already running around in my mind and will be getting to work on them once all the businesses and community locations are complete. I seem to spend a fair bit of time at building/house plan sites... looking through all of them... just feeds the addiction.

Leon serie.... still continues

So I decided to add some extra rooms to the Leon serie. I'm working on a hallway now. I just started, so it is't much to show....

Umbrella stand, Magazine rack, Key Rack and Logstand are made and finished.

The plan is to add a coatrack, Mirror, plant and several paintings. So I hope you like it so far.

Yes, I have changed my name to fantasticSims. I never expected to have to much fun creating for the sims3, so I wanted a name that was more fitting.

I'm hoping, that with the two names being similar there won't be too much confusion...especially to the kind people who bookmarked me! The plan is to leave my profile picture the same for awhile, to help find me, for those who so desire. As for my downloads and pictures that feature the fantastic8019 name, I don't know what to do! You're input is greatly appreciated!

I had my first Simversequake the other day. My sims husband is a Firefighter and all of a sudden the screen started shaking. I was like, "Whoa!". Man, the messes that it left behind. The game made me go to 6 houses to free people from rubble (most family) and to fix the "gas leak". It was cool. Wish I could've got it on video.

Meshing - the learning process

OY VAY!  Yes, I yelled, in bold, even.  I'm working my way through Riccinumbers Object Creation Guide, learning to use Milkshape 3D, UV Mapper, blah, blah, blah, and let me tell you - those Featured Artists deserve every stinking penny they get when we download their stuff!  Not that I can't do it, but what a painstaking process meshing is.  I'm kind of stuck with UV Mapper right now; somehow, recreating that little table in the tutorial is taking a whole lot longer than I thought it would.  In fact, I'll have to come back to it tomorrow because I'm just too tired to keep going tonight.  But I will get it, and I will publish my collection of chicken art prints that everyone needs in their kitchen!  HA!

Hey everyone it's me. Or is it?!!?!? It is. Oris it?!?!? Nahhhhhhh I'm just messin' with ya, it's me. What I'm trying to say is that I'm almost at 1000 downloads and when I get there I will make 5 sims the day after i get 1000. So that's all, btw my favorite game id tug of peace. SO PEACE! BAI.

Plans

I thought I should upload a few of my lots here. But its just being bothered! I have to go looking up stas and getting the pics together and all that jazz. I suppose when i can be bothered thats the first thing I will do.

I uploaded quite a few screenshots yesterday. Thought others might enjoy seeing them. Got a few nice comments. A few other Simmers out there had some really awesome pics!

I kind of like little Pansy

Because I so lack in general creativity, I usually play the families that come with the game.  When I first cracked open Twinbrook, for whatever reason, I started playing the Prudence family.  I don't know why; maybe it's because Phoenix, the father, looks like Rowan Atkinson (I might be American, but I LOVE Black Adder!), or maybe it's because I felt sorry for a single dad and felt the god-like need to hook him up with a sweet young honey to be stepmom.  I really don't know.  All I know is this:  the children in this game are freakin' HOMELY, and Pansy was no exception.  Ugly duckling had nothing on this poor little girl...that is, until I downloaded some of Newsea's hair designs.  Yup, that made her a little more interesting.  Then I found myself keenly interested in what she was doing and now, I think she might even have a story to tell.  The game turned her into a budding young steampunk on her birthday, so I might let her pursue that for awhile.  In the meantime, I can't wait to see how she turns out.

First Week

Well I've been using this account for a week now, and things are going pretty well, if I do say so myself. I've uploaded two of my Hairs, and people seemed to have liked them. Currently I also have another pending and I'm working on another one.

Modern_Designs Taking A New Path...

Some of my earlier work wasn't the best quality, so as a select artist, I now see that I have the option to delete creations. Only bad things is, you can only delete a certain number per day, and I have quite a few crap from the earlier years to sift through.

Meshes For All Downloads For The Sims 3?

Okay I remember a long time ago we had to download the meshes separably! And I see no link to the new meshes and where they are? Or are they in the download in the Sims3 packages? Or what! Any one please tell me how that works now! Thank you!

My Creations -- A problem in gameplay.

Well I did start making Things to upload and use in my game. The two commercial places I made with the help of the rabbitholes are not working as what they suppose to be. What do I do.

The Sims Help!

Hi Simmers!  I am just going to post issues I have been having in The Sims 3. If you know how to fix these problems, please let me know! Also, wanna talk about some things I dislike about the game. 

1. In Generations, if my children get grounded, it sometimes says they can't leave the house. That means, I can't make them go to school. But if they don't go to school, they will STILL be in trouble for not going to school. I think that is stupid. I make them go anyway if I can sneak out. But it's a bit difficult to do. 

2. When my parent sims go away on a free vacation, I thought it would be cool to for my kids to skip school while they are away. But when they come back, they know about it and my kids still get grounded! That's lame! Not to mention the teens always get caught past curfew and doing pranks. Can't the teens get away with anything? I don't even bother doing the pranks because it will just ruin the relationships. Wish the teens could get away with it at least some of the time. 

Also, when the parents come home from vacation, they expect the house to be clean. But if the house was messy when they left and they return to the same mess, they still ground my teen! And sometimes I lose the parent(s) and they never return back home! I had to restart my game because the mom never came back. It kept happening and I had to start all over again from scratch. 

3. I've been trying to create a dorm for a couple days now, and it won't let me save in the University town. I have to go back to my Home and save there. But when click to go back home, it loads forever and then my laptop shuts off. It happened 3 times. I just want to save whatever I'm doing in the town that I am in. I really liked how it was turning out but now I have to redo it all over again. Ughh!

Just uploade Doug, now I´m working on Vladimir Ivanov. He´s been walking at most runway shows, we can also see him at Nordstrom, Macys and some others huge stores.

Designing

Well I spent a chunk of yesterday (okay... well over 8 hours... LOL) playing around with various different design abilities in the game attempting to create a 50x50 science lad for use in the game. Well, I got it done and was happy enough with it to submit it as a downloadable lot not expecting to see anything for a week or two, and even then maybe a request for adjustment, etc. Well much to my surprise I just noticed that is has already been approved and will be published tomorrow the 22nd of January. I only submitted it somewhere around 6 hours ago...

Anyway, as of tomorrow the Riverdale Science Lab will be available at the following link
