With a bit of tinkering - and the advice of the boy-next-door, well, across, but we're not splitting hairs ;) - I finally got my Sims up and running again - just in time before my subscription runs out, so now I know it's worth renewing :D
I had to throw the towel into the ring and buy a new graphics card. Instead of going for one of those on the list provided with the game, I opted for an ATI Radeon HD 5830. According to my 'gaming connoisseur' neighbour, that should keep me gaming for a while yet. It looks fierce enough with all them copper pipes for sure - it barely fitted in my slim tower :D
After every installation, things were running smoothly - until we reached Ambitions and the dreaded patch. You guessed it - black screen, crash back to desktop - aarghhh... I went back to the thread I started some time ago and reread the comments. Started with the DEP configuration and Woohooh! Things are back up! Phew! Of course I had to go and buy Late Night now too :D I have to admit it was with some trepidation I installed, did the DEP and then tried it out - but it worked - result!
So now I have lots to catch up on and new things to try out. Let the Games begin! :D

New Lot Coming on Monday!
Hi all! I did say I would post new lots when I got the time, so here's one that is currently in testing and due to be out pretty soon. ;) It is TS3, includes all the EPs, but absolutely no CC! I thought I'd do something fun and different. I do hope you like it, or at least enjoy the pictures. LOL!

With 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a garage that would make the Heck's Angels drool, this home is perfect for the bikers in your life!
Each motorcycle is individually designed, the bar area is perfect for the occasional brawl (or game of darts), and we understand that bikers have kids too...so there are rooms to keep the kids happy as well. The yard could use a bit of work, and a little paint would do wonders...but who has time when the open road is calling? That, my friend, is up to you!
Spring Collection 2011
My first set of 2011 looks ahead to Spring with a collection of three pretty dresses.
For the two 3/4 sleeve dresses you will need a free mesh from Sim Chic called SimChicKneeDressHeels5-01-05. The third dress requires H&M Fashion Stuff. All dresses are available for adults and young adults and are categorised as everyday wear.
Finally, A New Lot
Gosh, sorry guys. Real life sort of sidetracked me for quite awhile and this lot got put on the backburner. It's done now though and due to be out tomorrow. I called it Conobar and it was built with a particular lot in mind in Bridgeport, but since it's a standard 30x40 lot you should be able to stick it anywhere. If the layout works for you that is.
I don't really consider anything spectacular about this lot. I used a couple fountain water things because I never used them before. I don't know of anyone well off so if the rich have fountains, I couldn't say. The rooms are large, especially the living room and kitchen/dining. Maybe that will work well for sims. They tend to cluster. I only stuck to the house plan for the exterior look. The plan didn't have a basement and I added one. It had that funky half story upstairs thing going on and I made it a full story with more space. Lots of bedrooms if your sims have large families or plenty of roommates. I got creative with some patterns. I was shooting for modern, tasteful decor, but not boring. I used rich colors throughout like burgundy and navy blue. The upstairs rooms are all done with various personalities in mind. I guess that's what I meant. I put the study/office up there too so the nursery could be on the main floor but that can easily be switched around. There isn't a separate butler quarters like Theirin has but there are plenty of bedrooms to give one to the staff or just make a suite in the basement. Heck, stick them on the front lawn for all I care. LOL
I am glad this lot is finished. Even though I was busy with other things it was still bugging me in the back of my mind. I hate leaving things unfinished. I feel so much better.
The last Bridgeport-specific lot I have planned is a log cabin to replace that rathole excuse for living that is already there. I love the lot by the water but hate the structure. I'll just make my own cabin rather than monkey with what's there. Yuck.
Hopefully it won't be so long before my next contribution to TSR. I sort of got lost in life. Happy Simming!
Feedback and questions on my Caravan Set
I don't know what to start with! Forgive me that I don't thank all of you by leaving some words on your guestbooks. I DO absolutely appreciate all your nice comments on my Caravan items so much (as well as all my other items too)!!! And I want to thank you all this way instead! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Just want to answer some questions here on this "central" place.
Yes, I will give some instructions by making a how-to-build-a-caravan-tutorial. But it needs some time to make it. ;-)
And yes, I will upload at least one complete Caravan after all sets are published. I hope that there is no problem with the filesize.

We live with our aunts & grandmother.

My son has had Dr appointments lately and two of the three lots I have been working on were large ones. They turned out to be quite time consuming lol! I do have more on the way. I will be sticking to smaller lots for a while after these!

clothes
i am slowly making clothes for here. they are taking me a bit as i am learning on making the clothes.
it seems constructing houses and interior design come quicker to me.

i am working on some houses and hopefully soon they will be up for download. i am working on building them first. then i will furnish them and have some rocking pics for them. i am trying to come up with some different house ideas. a few of them are a bit country looking with shaker wood sided and such.

Look for my Lounge coming out for downloading on Jan. 17 2011. It has two lounges in one. A modern, classy lounge with a hot tub, dance floor and converstion couches. The Vampire Lounge is mysterious and dark, but not too dark!

Useful stuff 2-Clothing tut 1 pt2
Here's long awaited second part of clothing tutorial.I decided to write a third part about photoskinning since this time i'll use even more pics.
So..here we go.
1.open any search engine you fancy.I love google.And enter fabrics textures,textures of fabrics or something like this and use images search 
2.then,pick ones you fancy and save them to your pc
3.Go to bodyshop.
Objects/New Project/Clothing

For this tutorial i'll use another basegame outfit but you can use any other
6.Again,use name that will give you info about your creation.Its useful when you're going to upload your creations.Lets name it clothingtut2
7.Go to My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Projects/Clothingtut2 (if you named differently,use the name you've picked).
We'll need the texture file
8.Now,open all the files you'll need to create outfit
(now you may skip to 11th step if you arent going to create semi-trasnperent overlay of original outfit)
and click on brush tool.Make sure the foreground colour is white and brush is in color mode.We're doing this to make sure that outfit we're modifying will be in shades one colour 
9.Now,via lasso tool select the top of the outfit,it may take some time thought.Aftr you've done,click on image/adjustments/brightness / contrast
10.set the brightness 91 and contast 17.
You should get all of the outfit (except shoes in white now).Now,its time to paste texture to overlay.Mine didnt fit so i wont show you a picture example,but if you'll find one,click on select/all.
Then go back to texture and click edite/paste.Resize texture if you need by move tool (turn transfrorm controls on).Then click on window/layers.Set the opasity of your texture to like 40-50 %.It matters of texture what opasity to choose.
11.Now,here's the next step for ones that find texture not good enought to overlay.Paste your texture on outfit's texture and resize if you need it by move tool (turn transfrorm controls on)
you should get something like that
12.Now,lets make sure the whole shirt is covered by our texture.Click on clone stamp tool.Now,pick from hwre it should clone texture by clicking shift+alt buttoms.I suggest to pick are right above the area that mist be filled with texture
13.I didnt do it well,but since i did it only to show what to do..XD Anyway,refresh outfit in bodyshop
Not looking good? Its because we need to apply shading and add details.Dont worry,I'll show you everything ;)
14.Search online at images search for stuff that shirt must have-like buttons,belts,zips and stuff and add them to your texture.Save when you're done but dont close the texture file-we'll use the possibilities of layers in this tutorial
Looks better but still needs shading,righty?So..lets apply it!
15.Now,click on layer that is your texture.Set the foreground colour dark grey or black.Pick smooth brush (triangle to the right from thumbnail of brush/simple brushes/ smooth brushes begin from the middle of the list).Set it's size about 60 or less pixels and set opasity to 20 %.
16.Now,paint shade by brush where you feel they need to be-there should be 2-3
at the back,add shadow at every side of sleeves and paint a bit at front.Save outfit and refresh in bodyshop
Looks way better,right?Now,select the background layer and paste the jeans texture
17.You may either resize it or use delete the texture from areas it shouldnt be (like shoes).Plus,it makes the texture look neater ;)
Refresh outfit in boyshop.If you feel that jeans need shading-apply it.If you dont like it,via history window you may delete the shading =).Also,sometimes its good to play with brightness/contast.
18.Open alpha file.It isnt seen much with original version of outfit,but if you arent neat with texture you'll see
semi-transperent version of your texture near the neack of sim.Eww,right?
So thats why we've opened it ;)
See this grey area on the front of shirt?Paint it in black and save.Refresh outfit in bodyshop
So,another part of tutorial got completed ;)
*shoes were changed while making the tutorial via brightness and contast.I suggest to look for sneakers pics and paste one.Looks great ;) )

Third Renovation
Okay, so I've moved... again. This time though I didn't actually want to, it was because I forgot the password to my l'amore account :3
It's not all bad though, I've come back with a lot more experience in creating custom content. I can now make hairstyles, which I think is a pretty big thing, so I'll probably be making tonnes, and in a lot of cool varieties.
Right now I've got to study for important exams and such, and then in February I'm completing one of my life ambitions and visiting the USA (LA, Vegas, the Grand Canyon + more to be precise) but come March I should be flooding TSR with my creations. I hope you're all looking forward to it as much as I am!

WOW!!!! 2,000 Downloads already!!? It seemed like only yesterday I had 1,000 downloads! Alright now.... I am having severe Simmers block. I NEED ideas for houses or Sims because some of mine are not very popular :/ The thing is... I download A LOT from the exchange and there are A LOT of subscriber creations... SO then I make almost 50 sims.....REALLY! (to replace the Sims in Twinbrook.) I had actually planned to upload them all at some point, but they were all subscriber!!! I realized I get more downloads with non-subscribers....... ALSO!!!! COMING SOON!!! A new blog...... I dont know the name yet... but I am thinking Hollywood Sims...:-) HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Why dont the Downloaded sims show up in the Move in Households?
I have downloaded and installed so many sims till this time but none of them show up in the list when I go to move them in. Some of the downloaded sims were too good. All the rest of the Custom Content coming with the sims show up but the sims doesnt. Why does that happen? I am at a loss.

The Sims 3 Lots
Hi, I don't own The Sims 3 but cannot help commenting on the stunning, gorgeous lots that are being created by such talented creators here on TSR.
I personally think that people should comment even if they don't own the game (like me) so the creator knows that their work is amazing.
I also like to comment on lots created in The Sims 2 as they are just as stunning.
We have such talented people here on TSR and the time and effort that these people put into their lots should be recognised in some way and for me that is to comment on their lots. I know if people like the lot they will download it but for me personally I think leaving feedback is important for a submitter.
As I submit walls and floors for The Sims 2, I find people’s feedback makes me proud, to know that my efforts are welcomed and people like what I create.
Every lot that I have seen has been different, none are the same and people have such brilliant imaginations and choose great colour schemes that work so well together.
Keep up the good work everyone. TSR is the BEST.

Throughout my life, I've struggled with the tendency to overeat. When I was young and dumb (kind of redundant, yeah?), I would eat from boredom, or depression. As an adult, I overeat simply because I love the taste and texture of good food. This year I'm counting my calories - taken in and burned off (487 burned tonight in my workout), but I think I may have found something to replace food binging.
