Hi! I know I'm a little late with the news, that they're 1,041,000 downloads now, but better now than never :D.

I had a lot to do at college so I didn't have time to do this earlier.

So, thank you so much for all your downloads. I'm happy to see that so many people like my creations and enjoy them in their game. I want to thank my friends for their support and appreciation :).

In order to celebrate I just submitted a new dresses set :) and have great news, I am workind on opening my own site :).

Copyright is such a difficult topic

Copyrights make for a huge topic. Sometimes even in the Sims community. I totally agree on the idea of protecting intellectual property, not the least because modern societies shift from producing material things to non-material values like entertainment or technology. Or to put it simple: Minstrels need to be paid if you want them to work as one. But the protection of the copyrights does pose a lot of problems. I don't see an easy solution to it. Several states have come up with different solutions (laws about "fair use", laws about "private sharing exceptions", etc, sorry I do not know all the names such regulations have in their respective countries) and all have their shortcomings and trapdoors.

Take at example the current patent system and the fact that many companies live off solely from the money they earn for sueing rich companies as notional patent violators. There are jokes that today only the very rich could afford not to be illiterate if the current patent system would have been in use when writing and characters were invented. Or that no car would exist if the wheel would be copyrighted by a cave man etc. Some fear that the patent system will not only protect investments in immaterial goods, but also slows the distribution of intellectual advances to the whole world up to a standstill. But as I said, intellectual property is a huge topic and I don't want to dwell on patents.

What I want to point my finger at is best illustrated by this: When I was younger, I was excited to see that computer soccer games went from 2D to 3D and that they looked more realistic by the day. Finally you could even recognize the face of the players, but then... copyright protection set in and the games weren't allowed to show real names or real faces any more without paying huge royalties. Since that time you have the choice to play several great soccer games but without real names/faces or to play one less good game but being the only one with the official licence of the year. I still find it ridicoulous. How long before I won't be allowed to mention Obama (copyrighted) as president (copyrighted) of the United States (registered trademark, used without permission) without paying a royalty up front?

A short while ago an artist I really admire for all the paintings she uploads was questioned about copyright issues. The longer you think about it, the stranger it sounds. If you look at all the Sims downloads, from clothing to clutter to paintings, all strive to mimick the real world as perfect as possible. Versace clothes? Ikea furniture? Coke can? Porsche car? Just imagine you would need an official licence for it - probably 3/4 of all downloads had to be erased because of copyright violations. The TSR artist was showing respect for the painters whose pictures she processed by asking her sources for permission to use it. This is a noble gesture. I bet most artists recreating a dress they saw in a fashion magazine are not doing such a thing. Think about all the Sims that are designed to look like a real life celebrity! Now think back to the soccer computer game case I mentioned above... If you use creations of others, show them due respect, but don't carry the copyright thought any further, or all hell will break loose and downloading/creating Sims stuff will become a lot more restrictive and expensive for all of us.

I can even add a small anecdote to this topic. My current story hero, called Jake Jarvis, was "lent" to a friend of mine who wanted to have him in her story as well. I liked the idea. She put Jake in and let him even appear in some "compromising" screenies, most of the time making him act differently than I would have done it. One way to react would have been to fear for "my intellectual property". Did she damage "my" Jake and the way I want him to be? People might see Jake differently now, even if they were reading my story again, wouldn't they? Should I fear for my yet unfinished story? Rubbish. She had fun with it, the people commenting on it had a good laugh, too, so no harm was done at all. Except some people had a great time with Jake, and I can't say anything bad about that :D Being over-protective wouldn't have made the world a better place.

The Sims is only a game. It is about big money, true, because EA is probably making a fortune with their brand, but still, it is a game for (nearly) all of us. We all want to have fun and the overwhelming majority is not out to hurt anyone or to steal anything or to rip others off. I am aware that I use a lot of CC and some of it is used in my stories. Since I never kept track of the CC I downloaded and which items were created by which artists,  I don't have a proper credit list in my stories myself, but that's more because of my inability to identify my CC and the matching artist, not because of not wanting to do it (and if you are one of the unmentioned CC artists, please drop me a message and I will list you in the credits!). At least I always thank the artist when I download their stuff. What I want to say: Give credit where credit is true, but beware of being over-protective.

But since this is such a difficult issue, I think it is very easy to have a different opinion on it :D. Feel free to voice it.

New story on the horizon!

I have been working diligently on a new story but wasn't sure about how people would respond so I posted it over on the offical sims 3 site, I know that alot of people don't read stories over there with all the swamping of crazy storyboards, but it has gone pretty well over there so far, and I got a generally great response with my previous story, so I am going to post it here as well. I will give you a little teaser.

Eva Matthews is an accomplished romance and dating columnist, who herself is having trouble finding a man worthy of her standards when she turns to an online dating site in hopes of finding that perfect man without realizing the potential dangers that could come from her endeavors.

“And so the hunt begins…around the time the sun goes down and the bright lights of the city come alive. Pedestrians flood the city streets in their little black dresses adorned with flashy jewelry, their hair done up so perfectly that there isn’t a strand out of place, their fingernails neatly manicured, not a single thing out of place. So what are they hunting for? Love? Romance? A late night fling?” I began to type out onto a fresh document on my computer.

I write a romance and dating column for Bridgeport’s premier night life magazine “After Dark”. And I have to admit I kind of love my job, since it consists of pretty much going out every night and observing peoples romantic behaviors, sometimes I indulge myself in talking to them, and asking them questions, then turning what I learned and observed that night in to something people can relate to when they read my column. This week’s article entitled “The Hunt” focuses on those who go out pursuing romantic encounters."

Hi everybody! The last time I wrote something in my blog was to complain that we had to wait a long time to see our stories published. Now I was lucky enough to have part 5 of my story published on October, 32 and only after having submitted it for some hours. I should say the positive things as well :D

New creations update :)

Hi all,

Well I am still stuck in the Uk at the moment, so I am having to make do with my notebook. I haven't created/played The Sims for more than 3 weeks now and it is really getting me down. My notebook has no disk drive.I have recieved my Fast lane and my Late Night and I cannot try them out yet...Bah!!!

My PC is over in Italy. But as soon as I can get back, I can start creating again.

In the meantime, I wanted to give you all a little glimpse of what you have to come.

First up, we have the 'Belsim Torch' from Scarab Corp. I have adjusted it so it is much smaller. I have also messed around with the shape/pattern at the bottom. I thought it would look great to have some more variations for lighting in the temples or tombs that any of you may build. It would also look great in an Egyptian themed house either as indoor or outdoor lighting.

Next, we have the 'Fountain of Flowers'. I really didn't like the shape or size of this, so I adjusted both. I think it looks a lot more pleasing to the eye now. I have also took out those silly flowers that stuck out of the top of the sunflowers, at a much higher height. I just didn't think they looked right.  I think it is so much nicer with just the sunflowers.

So there you go, that is what will be coming soon. Plenty more in the pipeline too!

I have been so busy, I haven't had time!

Time: One of the most relevent "things' in my life, which I don't seem to have enough of! Spring, Summer and Fall are such busy seasons for me. School activites, sports activites, family activities, taking care of my mother-in-law. So many things to do, and so little time. Little time for myself! Just when I think things have settled down, WHOOOOOSH. Off I go again! I am thankful for the winter months coming up. That is not to be confused with liking cold weather, it just means I will now have some time to myself! I get to play my Sims 3! Sadly, since I have had no time to play I still only have the base game. But with Christmas right around the corner, all of the EP and stuff packs are definately on my wish list! I have already told my husband: " Forget the jewlery, give me my Sims 3!!!!" I have already started Christmas shopping online, because it gives me more time at home and to myself! I cashed in my Kudos for a free subscription day, and went on a downloading frenzy and have begun playing again! I am astounded by the enormous amount of awesome talent from featured, select and other artists, and I have been having such a great time playing my game! AHHHH, peace and harmony have been restored in my household. That makes me a very happy lady!!

Puke anyone?

What is with the puking? Everywhere I go sims are violently puking glow-in-the-dark green puke. They'll even do it during a conversation. So Jim, how's that acting *SPEW* career? Oh, don't mind me. It's a condition I have. Here, let me wipe off your face, and shirt, and pants, and... shoes. I don't understand it. Some let it just dribble out of their mouths while some projectile vomit on everyone. Oddly enough other sims never notice. Is this a normal behavior in Bridgeport? Public display of nausea? A sim pukes then goes on their merry way. They don't seem sick. They just... puke. Noone pays it any attention nor cleans it up. It's really kind of a putoff when there are 3 sims in the vicinity of your fun spewing ectoplasmic residue. Most odd.

I played my to-be vampire sim last night and he finished the whole shabang in an impressive display of red fog and bat wings. Lovely. I took piccies but they're dark, as well as piccies of him doing his thang in the club on the counter, and various other vampire shots. They're all dark though so I need to lighten them before you could really see anything. Of course they're dark. Everything happens at night. Sheesh. Don't knock a girl for trying. Anyway, the vamp life seems fine. He sleeps in his normal bed as he has a small place right now with no room for a... coffin thingy. But he gets the slept like the dead moodlet when he wakes up. That made me giggle. I haven't delved too deeply into the vamp life as of yet. He did raid Mike's Cornerstore. The option was there so, you know, I just sort of... slipped and clicked on it. Something I thought might end badly was really a riot. While he was apparently acting like a child, riding his shopping cart at vampiric speed, and oggling the produce, I got a pop-up that said, Don't stare at me! Silly baby in a shopping cart... I almost peed my pants laughing. He did this at like 2 in the morning. What nutjob was there with a baby then? Anyway, he scored 5 plasma fruit from the... er... raid. And probably totalled a shopping cart. I got a lot of pop-up windows telling me of his activities. I also prowled around town looking for something to do, but the town was dead oddly enough. So I sent him to Smuggler's Cove. I had hoped to find a plasma fruit seed there as my other sim did one night. No seed but I got some rocks and junk. Apparently vampires are aware of the lameness of travel in Bridgeport because I told my guy to go to the bookstore next and he ran from Smuggler's Cove all the way there. It was so funny! He's got a motorcycle but didn't use it. He just ran, and ran, and ran. I think my vampire is a tad hyperactive. And horny. He hit it off pre-vamp with a cute blonde after completing an opportunity and he moved her in after he finished the creepshow transformation. And the man can not get enough of her. Jeez man! Down boy! Down! He even had two woohoo wants for her at the same time once. Yowzers! I think I have a hidden wild child in this sim. He's so different from my other one but doesn't really have any extreme traits to add to weird behavior. He just acts wild. I need to tweak her traits. She's got mainly useless ones. I hate useless traits. I want my sims to have personality, not be some vapid waste of oxygen. I mean really, some of those traits are pointless, useless, and add nothing of interest to the game. They just take up personality real estate on game generated sims so they really have no personality at all. The whole point is so sims act differently from each other and keep things interesting.

Ok, enough whining about game shortcomings. I might actually get around to doing that revamp of my Ayesleigh lot soon. I love Late Night and want to play, but now I need to make lots to fit the city life. Hmph. I'm getting the build bug again. I always do when we get something new and I get a rash from how irritating the stuff EA gives us is. Inefficiency and sims do not mix well. *cough* subway *cough* Whether heading across town or traversing a multi-story building you're in for lag not caused by your computer.

Oh! One more tidbit to giggle about. I hope this happens to other people or I'm going to start taking it personally. I'll send a sim out to some random bar/club/what not and get a pop-up stating this place is as hot as Connor Frio blah blah blah, or nothing is happeneing here, there must be a better place. So I pick another lot and then get a pop-up stating Oh yeah! This is where it's at! I enter and... noone is there. Not one sim. Not even a cricket chirping.  WTH? Hotspot? I think not. What is the point of having bouncers if they also prevent ALL the other sims in the game from going anywhere as well? I know it's not fair to give mindless, lazy sims a free ride into a posh place but c'mon, we don't go out to these places to sit in a hot tub alone, drink alone, throw darts alone. Duh. So, I stick to the tried, but true, hotspot in town... loitering outside the cinema. It's so upscale! It's so happenin'! It's so elite! It's so... sidewalk. It's not about status, it's about fun. Go where the fun is, wherever that may be. It is a game afterall.

Home To Roost & November Project!

Hey Guys!!

So my newest lot is uploaded, Home To Roost, and it's avaliable to download now! :D

This is absolutely the lot i'm most proud of so far! I did use a house plan for this but adjusted it to work with the build tools in-game. I seem to have my own style of decorating I think, it's very Brittish aha. I especially like the little 'Gnome Corner' its actually a little idea I took from DragonQueens Waterfall tutorial. It was more the placing of rocks that inspired me if i'm honest :D

I'm in a middle of a build at the moment which i'm spending less time on as i'm back to work now but i'm intending to take my time on it and get everything as perfect as I can so watch this space!

Fiuw!

After 4 days of trying to re-install The Sims, it finally worked!!! I'm really releived, I succeeded in saving all my houses and all downloads. Except for my next house: the Muller house... I'm still trying to recover it!

But anyway, I'm so happy I can play again... and I will be sharing soon! The Hening house, the furnished version is on its way, together with the unfurnished version of the Muller house!

I'm getting brave. I went ahead and enabled comments since my last post was mundo popular. Just don't give me a reason to report you and we'll get along.

Wet noodleness aside, I really am honored that so many of you have been stopping by to get a laugh and even tell me about it. I have some more Late Night observations to comment on in this post so I'm sure you're in for more giggles. Cuz I just do that to people. We all need to laugh more so why not?

OK, so, I was playing my tester sim for Late Night and got him all set up in a lot and added a bedroom for a butler and got the guy hired. He's wonderful but oddly looks like Steven Colbert. Scary. He does a fantastic job compared to the lazy maids. I swear I never get a decent one. Hire, fire, hire, fire, just forget it. Merry Maids do not make me merry. So that chap's life is much better and he's working on his celebrity status. He's only a 2 star right now. Poor widdle two star celeb. I love it when sims react to him in public. It's so funny. I always scan the lot to see who they're spazzing over and then it comes to me. They're freaking over lil 'ol me. Aw shucks.

I moved a lady in with him just because I can. I'll make her work or something. See, I met this sim once. Once I say. And she didn't like my sim. Next thing I know I'm at Smuggler's Cove and she's sitting there reading a book. I was like, Oh, I remember you. Ms. Grumpybutt. and slunk over to greet her. Then I look in my relationship panel and somehow she and her daughter got to best friend status with my sim (and I had never met her daughter). Wha...? The only thing that changed between the time he met her and now was he moved. She's his neighbor now and I didn't know it. Did that change the relationship? Weird.

I wanted to try out the vampire life so I made a sim to become a vampire last night. He already looks like one since I planned for it. He just needed to be turned. This was an... adventure. He met all sorts of vampires day and night. He actually got vampire wants, like meet a vampire, befriend a vampire, be turned by a vampire, etc. Like he already knew what I made him for. My other sim didn't get those wants. Anyway, I go to the most happenin' place in Bridgeport, the pavement outside the Cineplex (Did anyone else notice this is the grand hangout? Forget bars, clubs, lounges, parties. It's all about the sidewalk and loitering in Bridgeport apparently.). Morrigan Hemlock (you can't tell me this isn't a Dragon Age reference) took a keen interest in my sim. And she was hungry. I have a feeling he scored high on the yummy blood meter. She was pretty forward and persistent regardless of the fact that her creepy husband was lurking in the corner by the doors, watching with his beady little... er... eyes. The vamp eyes are wild I tell ya. There were actually 5 vampires that showed up. My sim was alone at first. He must be really nummy because they all wanted to talk to him. Kind of creepy. And why do they all have the evil trait? Can't there be nice vampires? Sheesh. They all wander around wringing their hands cackling that creepy evil laugh. Mwhahahahahahahahahaha! Do you mind? I'm trying to socialize here. Cripes. Uh, so, my sim got friendly with Morrigan quick and asked her to turn him. I didn't expect it right then. I thought they were supposed to go someplace from prying eyes, but no. She just hauls off and munches on his arm right there, in front of like 10 sims. You can't tell me they didn't notice. And she did it before he even got the question out all the way. It was like, Hey, would you be willing to... CHOMP! Aieeeeeee! She enjoyed it a little too much. Slobbered all over the place. Ew. I felt the urge to leave once it was done as the other vampires were still scoping me out. Look, one donation a day. I am not a walking blood bank. Go find a celeb to kick or something. He had the itchy bite pop-up and the boiling blood pop-up so it's progressing. I'll have to finish it another play session. I'm sure I'll have tales of vampire adventures soon.

You're probably all wondering what my catchy post title means. Well... in the course of playing this sim, in hopes of snagging a vampire to turn him, I went to a few bars and a club. I got a good look at the dance on counters and tables. It was funny, yet embarrassing, yet erotic, yet... just plain WRONG! Once he really got into it I thought, Stop shakin' your thang at me! It just seemed above the teen rating, and I half expected him to start stripping (I didn't direct him, he did this on his own. I often let my sims be independent.). LOL Apparently he is an inspiration to all clubbers as a female sim jumped up on the table next to him and did her thing. Well, OK. Whatever floats yer boat. I was so embarrassed. I got him down and he got back up. He was rather obstinate. But it was worth a giggle.

Now, I've been editing my old sims to add in the new body enhancements so I've checked out the female Late Night wardrobe additions. Is EA SURE the only new career with this EP is film? Really EA? I beg to differ. I dunno. Maybe I'm a prude but they're always going off about the game rating and claim it's family friendly, blah blah, but you check out the leather, buckles, and bustiers in multiple clothing categories and see what you think is going through their mind. I found it... fascinating. Especially the lingerie. Hmmm... I suppose it gets real lonely being a game programmer/designer/etc. ROFL

OK, I'm done. There will always be more later. I never run out of stuff to make fun of or comment on. Y'all have a good laugh on me and we'll meet up again soon.

*Sigh*

Heavy sigh even...  My Sims broke and I don't know how to fix it.  I've been busy for days now - with the help of very friendly people on the forums and the support help of EA itself, but nothing seems to work.

Today I gave up and put my pc back to factory settings, hoping this would do the trick.

Nothing.

Still the screen switches off.

I don't like this, that's for sure!

Have a look at the help forum - maybe you can give a hint?  Or did you suffer the same fate?  How did you resolve it?

Totally freaking out!!!

Waaaaah I'm going totally crazy! All of a sudden my Sims game won't work anymore. I don't know why... it just keeps on saying my base game isn't compatible with fast lane stuff :(

So I tried to re-install, but now it won't install world adventures... I'm so desperate, couldn't imagine life without sims :-)

I'm just gonna keep on trying and when I get back I will have some extras for you!

A Spambot proving ground

Automated spambots are programs designed to infiltrate forums, guestbooks, blogs etc. Usually their aim is to spread hyperlinks (which lead to pages where the user can expect everything from simple advertising to evil trojan-infestations) or to do at least only some annoying stuff like disrupting forum page layouts etc. Such automated buggers are the main reason why CAPTCHAs exist. "Completely Automated Public Turing tests to tell Computers and Humans Apart" are those nasty distorted words one has to decipher to fill out a form or to register at a website. Sometimes I fear the CAPTCHAs have advanced to a point where I NEED a program to identify the words correctly, because I start to fail those tests more often than not :) There is a constant struggle between the good (forum admins) and the bad (spambots) to develop new measures and counter-measures. I even read about new job opportunities for the so-called "china farmers", who are people playing World of Warcraft only to generate ingame money to sell it to rich players for real money. Nowadays you can work full time typing in CAPTCHA responses to assist spambots in taking the hurdle when aquiring new accounts. Sorry for bothering you with those details, but it helps understanding the next paragraph.

In my last blog entry I wrote about a question in our General PC help forum, of which I found duplicates in more than 100 different forums all over the world and where I showed my disappointment the OTC never called back after receiving an answer. I think I have solved the riddle, because the same OTC just posted another question at our same forum. Again his problem was not sim-related at all, but a very general PC question. Again I did the google check. This time TSR was the 78th forum into which he had posted his question. Naturally, this time I didn't bother to reply to the thread. I checked with google again whether the guy had at least replied in any forum to his older post. I wasn't really surprised to see that the initial 100 forums he had honoured with his request had increased in size and google now found more than 1.800 different forums into which his network connectivity question had been posted.

Now I looked closer at his postings at TSR and discovered that both postings initially had contained spam links (sometimes they are hidden in signatures to make spotting them more difficult), but our forum moderator was wary enough to remove them. For me it's clear those threads were just made by a spambot to smuggle in unwanted links into the forum. Probably I was not the only one coming to this conclusion, because strangly a day later the new spambot-made question had been removed from some of the other forums I saw them in yesterday, bringing the total down to mere 23 sites. I reported my suspicion to our forum guardians, but obviously they think it sufficient to have the link disabled, because the thread remained intact.

What conclusions am I drawing from it? Spambots seem to become more and more cleverly disguised, imitating real persons with real concerns. I do not want to waste my precious time answering to fake requests. Our forum doesn't seem to be immune to spambots. So what kind of measure should I take to protect me? Shall I ignore threads started by new accounts (but then many register to a forum only the moment they see the need for it, namely because of having to ask about a problem)? Shall I ignore threads that contain links (but some may be "real" links where the OTC points to additional information)? Shall I only answer to threads with a clear relation to the Sims (because a spambot verly likely uses a general question to fit into as many forums as possible)? Should I just check google each time before a reply? Or should I restrict help to persons I do know already through other activities at the site? Thoughts on this are very welcome.

So... do any of you care about my first take on Late Night? Well, if you don't, too bad. You're here for a reason. I'm gonna babble for awhile. If anything, I'll make you laugh.

OK, so my copy of Late Night arrives yesterday and I get it all installed and we're happy. I put my sim I made to test out Late Night into one of the apartment complexes. There ain't much real estate to be had in Bridgeport so I guess family sims will have to be disappointed. Most apartments and homes are cracker boxes. Not even decent for a single sim, but whatever. Anyway, I get him moved in and immediately run out to take in a play at the cineplex. A little bubble popped up saying my sim would like it... blah, blah, blah. So much for not finding vampires during the day or easily. Broad daylight. Playing the game for like 5 minutes, first stop, two vampires walk up. The sparks and smoke sort of gave them away. The black and red clothes were another clue. And if you got really close, you peed your pants when you looked into their queasy eyes. I did introductions but didn't keep them long chatting. I mean, afterall, they were smoking and the smell of burnt hair isn't nice. It's only polite. There were some celebs hanging out too in front. Like... 8? So much for not finding celebs anywhere but the posh places too. They were pricks. Do I know you? Maybe you should come back when you can impress me. Up yours buddy. Not impressed with the celebs, but never was. Sims 1, 2, and 3. Then some grandma pulls a piano out of her butt and starts jamming right there on the sidewalk. Everyone went nuts. Dancing, clapping, whistling... and there they stayed. I ran off to a bar and the bookstore. Did the taxi and subway, yah dah.

I'll get this out of the way because I just have to. If you don't know me you won't be aware of my rampant distaste for trendy jeans. No bootcuts, bellbottoms, low rise, baggy butt jeans for me. I just want normal jeans, timeless jeans, jeans that hang the way they should and be pulled up to the waist. That sort of stuff. I'm not into crack or ripped ragged edges because they drag on the ground. Anyway, the women have always had a set of normal jeans. Since the base. Yahoo! I was so happy. But the guys didn't. Ugly huge belt buckles, baggies, hi-waters, ripped, stained, bad textures, flares, whatever. Aha! I was THE happiest girl in the world last night when I was dressing my sim. Woot! First thing in the pants window. NORMAL JEANS! For the love of God and all that's holy! Normal friggin' jeans! No ragged edges, no stupid cuts, no ugly belt buckles. Just awesome normal jeans. There are some really sweet threads in Late Night for guys. I am very pleased. I made a male sim so I didn't check out the chick stuff yet. I was like yelling and hooting and just going nuts at my computer. My neighbors probably thought somebody was killing me. They weren't home thankfully. Ok, I'm better. Just wanted to get that out there.

I swear every woman has had a boob job in Bridgeport. The boob meter was sorely needed and I am quite happy to adjust all my female sims that need it so they're more balanced. I refuse to make skinny chicks that look like little boys when they wear a swimsuit. C'mon, you've GOT to have something. Now even my skinny chicks have some curves and look like girls. I don't really get into the big, bulging, bowling ball things. If you want that, fine. It's unnatural as heck, but who am I? Bridgeport is full of bowling balls. And... and... this is as important to me as the jeans for guys. THE 6 PACK IS BACK! I was also hooting over that. I was so, so, so disappointed when no matter how hard I worked my male sims they never got ripped. The blank surface around their belly button baffled me. A real person without a six pack doesn't even look that pathetic. So now I can tweak all my guys with the muscle definition slider to have a shadow of a six pack or a full blown ripped physique. I don't like the ripped look but I do like them to look fit and the oddly barren tummy area will give me nightmares no more! MUCH better for swimming. God. The humanity. And here is something... random I guess. I had my guy make use of a urinal. Didn't think anything would happen and I normally don't watch my sims go pee pee. I'm glad I watched though because I got a grand giggle out of the guy whistling while he peed! OMG! He looks around, at the ceiling, side to side, and whistles while he works... so to speak. I thought it was a nice touch.

I do have some complaints. Not many, so far, but some. Is it just me, or does it take an inordinate amount of time to get anywhere in Bridgeport? I guess I need to give my guy a crotch rocket because this taxi and subway crap is for the birds. It's slow as heck! The elevators stink. Just as slow as they've ever been. I could drag myself up stairs faster. But you know how it is, always gotta have some useful object be the target of woohoo. So we have hot tubs back and... crappy elevators.

All in all I'm really happy with the EP. It's got great stuff and improves a few things that needed dire attention. The travel thing. That needs to be fixed. It's the main reason I refuse to go to China. I don't want to spend my trip walking up one hill and down the other. Lame. And now Bridgeport is a prime example with my sim taking a taxi, stopping to get out, taking the subway, popping out only to get in yet another taxi and eventually, many hours later, he gets to someplace before it closes. And... he could've gotten there with JUST the taxi in the first place. Oi. If you had Nightlife you'll feel right at home.

So basically, my life has been insane between classes, midterms, and sorority stuff going on. I'm sorry I haven't uploaded in forever! I do have a couple of lots that are about ready to be uploaded (as in they're finished, but I have to take screenshots and Photoshop them). I'm really excited to get the new expansion! Je vais commencer par me présenter : Je m'appelle Sarah, j'ai 23 ans et je suis Suissesse. Je suis fan de cette série de jeux depuis leur sortie il y a maintenant plus de dix ans. A part les Sims, je suis aussi joueuse de World of Warcraft et je suis une dévoreuse de livres, surtout des thrillers, et de séries anglaises et américaines. Si j'ai tardé à vraiment m'inscrire sur ce site, c'est à cause de la langue. En effet, ma maîtrise de la langue de Shakspeare n'est pas bonne du tout. Je vais cependant m'efforcer de proposer tous mes textes dans les deux langues. N'hésitez toutefois pas à me corriger en cas de mauvais anglais.

Toute nouvelle sur le site, je vais me mettre à la lecture et à la traduction en français des divers guides et tutoriels destinés aux créateurs, nouveaux et anciens. Dès que ce sera fait, je me ferait la joie de vous faire partager mes découvertes et mes créations pour les Sims 3 uniquement.

I'll start by introducing myself: My name is Sarah, I am 23 years old and I'm Swiss. I'm a fan of this game series since their release there are now over ten years. Apart from the Sims, I'm also player of World of Warcraft and I am a devourer of books, especially thrillers, and British and American series. If I really slow to register on this site, it is because of the language. In fact, my command of the language of Shakespeare is not good at all. However, I will try to offer all my texts in both languages. But please correct me in case of bad English.

Any news on the site, I'm going to start reading and translation into French of various guides and tutorials for artists, new and old. Once this is done, I would joy to share with you my discoveries and my creations for The Sims 3 only.

Since its release, I finally put away the Sims 2 on the shelf ...

Ok,I'm back but I want to make some things clear

• I always try to create outfit's alpha's and textures on my own and its very inlikely that I'm stealing someone's work(yet its possible if me and other creator use same sites for textures)
  
• I try my best to make outfits unique and textures seamless,thats why sometimes I cant publish new creations every day

What happened to The Sims 1 official site?

I just tried to visit the official The Sims 1 EA site using my old bookmark and it re-directs to The Sims 3! The official Sims 1 site appears to be gone. This is very sad. I loved that site. Does this finally mean the end for The Sims 1?
