Hey guys!
It's been so long since I was last on here! Infact I think it was back just before Sims 3 was about to be released! Over the last few months a lot has being going on with me personally so my Simmies haven't been my top priority! :( Luckily, things are now getting a lot better and i'm determined to get back into it!
I haven't had a proper chance to try out all the different build tools that came with Sims 3 so over the last couple of weeks i've been playing about and decided to do something basic to begin with so here we have my first Sims 3 upload! Eep!

24 Delingi Avenue!
It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with a kitchen/diner and living area. Usually on my personal builds I tend to concentrate on the interior design but this time I thought i''d take a little more time to make the exterior look pretty. My influence was my Gran as this is the kind of home she's always dreamed of so she is my inspiration for this lot!
Hope you guys like it & i'm looking forward to creating some more!! :D
Hugs! xo
Thanks a lot!
Hi guys!
Wow, I really didn't expect that my houses would be downloaded this much! I'm really flattered and I sincerely hope you guys keep on downloading. I have about 40 more houses to share with you guys and I'm still building and decorating!
Thanks again and remember: you all rock!

Creations: Halloween 2010
That time of year is almost upon us again. If you haven't yet grabbed my Halloween themed items last year, then check out my downloads section and you can find them in there! I may create some new themed items this year if I find the time to do so. Happy Halloween!
working on creations vs. playing
hello guys,
after more than 1 month without creating anything, i got back to creations. so far i've uploaded only the set of paintings, but i'm working on a new project which takes quite a lot of time because i'm still a beginner :)
i haven't played the actual game for ages...this is a shame, but if you're a creator you understand my situation!! :D
i wonder how the other creators face this problem. the percentage between creations and playing? :)
anyway, i hope to manage to upload a new creation soon...
have a nice weekend to all simmers xxx
Having Fun with Sims 2
I so enjoy playing my sims2, I love making houses and walls & floors. I play the sims2 game at least 2 to 3 hours a night. I guess you could say I'm a die hard Sims 2 player.
I love come to "thesimsresource" too. There are so many things to get here. You could never get board with the collection of things they have....I know I don't. It seems TSR has everything I could want or need for my sims.
Way to go TSR...Happy to be a member.

Stolen Computer
I really don't blog here, but I'll have to save money for the new computer before the end of the year, then I'll re-download these stuff from this site.
Stories
Little stories need to be expressed. And since I can't in real life, I am going to in the Sims 3. I recently uninstalled several of my sims games and now I only have one expansion pack: Fast Lane Stuff. Really, that is only a stuff pack, but anyway. I know more cheats than ever and am going to start creating little sotries with chapters and characters and a plot and a climax and a turning point. I needed inspiration and got it from reading the first chapter of "Pieces of Me" which is one of the best stories and is on the home page. Sorry, I'd put who it was by but I have already forgotten. So, expect a story to be put up. You can't download it obviously but it is entertaining. So check back often for new houses and chapters.
Destruction of our Architectural History
I am fascinated by Architecture, specifically ornate architecture, and luckily where I live, in this tri city area there are wondeful examples around just about every corner. Unfortunately, like any city, my home town had the growing pains where folks moved out of the inner city, into the farm lands, and the inner city became ghettos. Beautiful homes from the late 1800 and early 1900 are being systematically destroyed because of in fighting between the preservation societies and the city councils.
Due to this stupidity homes that could be saved due to their historical significance have been left to rot, as required mainenance is not being allowed. Over 72 victorian homes were on the preservation list, 49 of them were released to be demolished in August because they are now beyond the ability to preserve. Like Detroit, soon our inner city will revert back to the river fronts and fields that they once were.
Below is an article about a mansion called the Webber House, it is a perfect example of this stupidity that continues today. Please take an interest in your own home towns history and architecture, so much craftman ship and knowledge has already been lost, help stop it if you can.
Essay is copy write Public Libraries of Saginaw

She was 82 years old when she died. Children cried when they realized she was gone. It had been a four-year struggle to survive, but she didn't make it. Seventeen years after the death the newspaper still found that there were persons who remembered and mourned the death of "The Queen" as they described her.
The "Queen" had been the residence of William L. Webber and his family at 536 Millard in Saginaw. William L. Webber, who had been the attorney for Jesse Hoyt, made his home in the elegant mansion together with son-in-law James B. Peter. Originally, the mansion was being built by Chester B. Jones, but construction had been halted prior to the purchase of the property by attorney Webber. Mr. Jones, who had been a member of the East Saginaw Board of Education, had suffered some personal misfortunes. It is surmised by historians that these tragedies probably kept him from finishing the home. William L. Webber asked son-in-law James B. Peter if he thought the mansion would be adequate to serve both the Webber and Peter families as a residence, and they continued the construction project. In later years a legendary story about the original owner evolved, and the mansion became known as "Jones Folly." Most historians dismiss portions of the legend itself as folly.
The account of the fight to save this mansion from the wrecking ball is itself of legendary proportions. However, the Committee to Save the Webber Mansion lost the battle. Never before had the possible destruction of a mansion caused so much public controversy. The home in which the last surviving Webber family member was residing had been acquired by the Saginaw Board of Education about 1934 and was being used for office space. Made of brick and stone with 18-inch thick walls and 10-feet high double doors, the "Queen" and property occupied half a city block and was surrounded by a wrought-iron fence. Inside were marble fireplaces. There were 16 large rooms and several small rooms, among them a law library and a study on the third floor. Also on the third floor James W. Peter, Webber's grandson, kept a trapeze for workouts. There were servant quarters and a tower room. William Atherton, the caretaker for twenty-two years, used a special opening in the tower wall from which to hang the U.S. flag on holidays. At this home the Webber family had entertained William Howard Taft and other dignitaries. Webber, Peter, and Jones were three men who had been involved with the development of East Saginaw's educational system and library resources. It was an unfortunate day when the preservation committee brought suit against the Saginaw Board of Education over the rescue of the trio's former home. One resident called the destruction of this home an act of "official vandalism." It was reported that no architectural salvage company rescued its treasures and that everything went to a landfill. But over the years, some books from the Webber home had found their way into the collections of the Hoyt Public Library. And today Saginawians can find copies of East Saginaw council proceedings or books of city ordinances which bear the name William L. Webber on the inside cover. It has been said that people have forgotten about the Webber house, but even today there are Saginawians who read the history and see the pictures and ask, "How could they?"
What I am up to...
So now I have submitted the last of hte regular clothes I have for the moment, and I will be working on costumes, some costumes will be things sims can almost wear every day and others will be very...well..costume-y. new sims and new screen shots coming soon
hello everyone i should be posting new sims and some new screen shots of my sims pretty soon happy simming
first week of work done
I had a great first week of work, but it has left me so very tired...to tired to play my beloved game. I have an all day event going on tomarrow and laundry to do on sunday. I plan to write between loads and play my legacy sim so I can get her updated. I've taken some random screen shots of my other sims to improve on my screen shots. so for those of you who have been loyally reading my stories you will get a story soon as I have one half written. and thanks to everyone who has bookmarked me. I appreciate the complament. please feel free to comment on my stories any time.
Frustrated with the submission process
Okay so, I revised my next chapter for the hundredth time because TSR thinks that teens can't be slapped by their parents in the game. Well, in case some of you are lost, they CAN be slapped by their parent or any adult if their relationship is bad enough. I'm not understanding why they make it so hard to post stories. My stories have no profanity, nudity, murder, or incest or anything being done to innocent children but yet they continue to reject my stories. I am so frustrated. I love to write and I can;t help but think that the same stories are being put on TSR because of the major constraints that we are under. All posts must be PG-13 and all of mine are. I gotta say, though TSR is hard to please with stories, their subscription is awesome and their creative corner is too! Just a little frustrated is all! Pray for me, I hope that this time I get a pass.
My first story.
Hi, after much debating I decided to post a story (it is in five parts). It is not a normal story, as it was very unplanned and different than intended. I was going to do a legacy story, but tragedy happened to my legacies target sim as you will see. SO I decided to move on to a new legacy, maybe that Sim would have better luck. But alas tragedy struck too. But on the upside after only hearing about death by meteorite I got to see it up close and must say it was pretty funny to watch and hey after my sim sold the meteor it paid off the expenses he incurred on his honeymoon. I hope you enjoy my first attempt.
Doubly Dead/Death on Vacation!!!
I wasn't exactly trying to fulfill the paranormal category of the photography skill, but now I think I might go for it since I managed to get Doubly Dead and Death on Vacation back to back. Here's how I did it:
One of my Sims managed to collect all the canopic jars as well as all of the pieces to reconstruct a sarcophagus. She reconstructed the sarcophagus and was able to summon a mummy to join her household by clicking on the completed sarcophagus, since she had all the right canopic jars in her inventory. Mummy joined household, wanted to go on vacation, went to Egypt, then accidentally lit himself on fire when trying to light a fire in the fire pit at base camp. Interestingly enough, my Sim (who accompanied him on the trip) was unable to put him out the way she could when normal Sims in her family caught fire in the past, so her mummy had no choice but to just die. I mean, there was absolutely no hope for this guy, considering his mummy-like wrappings. :(
The good side of this was I got a picture of him in ghost form begging the Grim Reaper for mercy before the Grim Reaper took him away for good (getting the Doubly Dead picture), and then the Grim Reaper hung out a bit and cooked some lettuce over the fire that killed said mummy (getting the Death on Vacation picture). Talk about dousing a paper cut with lemon juice. Ouch!
Apologies for my long absence!
Hey guys, I know that I said I would put a bunch of new stuff up soon, but then my life got really busy. I had way too much school stuff going on and I didn't really have time or energy to put into The Sims. I just wanted to update and let you know that I plan on putting some stuff up very soon :)

Pieces of Me Chapter 18
Still waiting on the approval of the 18th chapter for my story, hoping it doesn't get rejected for some reason or another, already have chapter 19 finished and 20 in the works, so I haven't stopped writing, just still waiting.
Chapter 4 of Under the same Moon
Starting this week, I've submitted part 4 of my actual story. I'm very disappointed that we have to wait again such a long time before the story is published. It surely will be published again together with 15 (or more) other stories and it will be difficult to find it. I really hope that the followers of my story will not have problems finding it.
Hi everyone!
well, this is my first contact with TSR in all the functions... I didn't know yet that I was supposed to earn money... well, kind of... to spend on something I really want... and I really want subscription for a day!
100.000 downloads oh my God :)
This day was the day of 100.000 downloads.
When I started to submit my first own creation in July this year I never thought there will be 100.000 downloads some weeks later. I'm so glad you liked my creations so much you gave them a try in your game. It makes me really really happy.
And of course not just me. My little daughter Aimee (8 years old) has contributed some of her own creations to this.
Happy greetings to all of you from Jana and Aimee!
And by the way thanks for 60 bookmarks :)

Hello!
This is my first blog post, and I have decided to blog a little to keep you all aware of what's coming up. I also want to let everyone know what I am doing when there is a lag in creations so you don't think I quit.
I live a very busy life. I have 5 children, 4 boys ages 12,9,4 and 2. I have a daughter age 1 1/2 and a stepdaughter, age 11. They are my whole world but they also keep me on my toes nonstop. The sims is my little escape. I played sims 1 with every expansion pack, as well as sims 2 and every sims 2 expansion pack. I have a small number of my sims 2 creations here on TSR, but i used to have my own website. That was when I had my two older sons and stepdaughter, not the youngest 3. When Mason (now age 4) was born, I didn't have the time or money to keep up the site.
When I began creating here and there for sims 3, I knew immediatly I would submit on TSR. I have been a member for a long time, and it is by far my favorite sims site. I won't lie, I am hoping to earn the select artist status someday, ebcayse earning a status on TSR is a big honor for me.
My hopes for my creations on TSR are to create things that are different from others on the site, which is very difficult in such a huge community. However, at least things that are similiar have my own twist on them. My other hope is to create things that are different from each other so my guests never know what they will find on my pages. I like it to be sort of a nomadic cart of sorts.
So right now I am leaning towards some gothic things for the halloween season. And also some costumes. I have a few things I am working on that I think you will all like a lot, at least I hope so!
Thanks for reading,
Maggie

21st Century Monitors
Man alive! does my minisite look quacked up on these widescreen monitors. Is this what you people have been seiing all this time? Zoinks!! I had no idea. Allthough, I'm not sure it's worth futzin' over what with the new site design rolling out in December.
Coming Soon! Kentworth Victorian Dresser
I'm adding the final touches to my next set, Kenthworth Victorian Dresser. I hope to release it on the 6th Anniversary of my TSR membership. How time flies when you're having fun! Of course, real life is keeping me very busy, I have a presentation and quiz due on October 18th for my Interpersonal Communications course. Wish me luck!
However, creating for the game is never far from my mind, I wrote my college mid-term paper on The Sims 3. I explained how The Sims game can be used in an academic study of interpersonal relationships in the real world. The paper was well received and I'm very happy with my grade!
In celebration of my 6th TSR anniversary, birthday, and the completion of another semester of college, I created a lovely little vanity dresser. I cloned it from a mirror, I've wanted to try this for a long time, and it worked! It still functions as a mirror, with the same menu options, but it looks like a Victorian era dresser. The dresser has 12 decorative slots for objects, and an attached decorative only vanity stool. The set will also include a perfume bottle, gooseneck table lamp, and a few other clutter objects.
Here are a few pictures of the Kentworth Victorian Dresser,
Carolyn

new screen shots from my game
hello everyone today i will be sharing some new screenshots from my game enjoy the new screen shots and happy simming
Why to rate something can be tempting
A short while ago I found myself giving an unreasonable high rating on a screenshot. I thought it was a mediocre shot to which not much thought had been given. But the current rating of 1.5 seemed a bit harsh to me. So, instead of rating it a 3 (which I would have done if I hadn't known the current average) I gave 4 points to raise the average faster towards 3. Not the biggest crime in my life, but still it felt like having cheated. So I started to ask me why it had felt wrong.
The reason is a very simple one. While my own vote (in this case: 3) reflects my own opinion, the average score (here: 1.5) reflects the aggregated opinion of several persons. By giving a vote that was not true to my own feeling (the wrong 4) I did not only add my voice to the public reception, but I had manipulated the "true" average rating. I wanted my opinion to count as more than other voter's opinion, so my tactically wrong rating had an increased effect on the "objective" average. It brought it nearer to my personal rating. If you wanted to achieve such kind of manipulation at an election you would need to put two votes in the box instead of one - which is considered rigging a voting in democratic societies. So now I knew what mischievous deed I had done.
Immediately the story section came to my mind. A screenshot is easily done and easily forgotten, so I doubt giving slightly incorrect ratings will do any real harm. But usually the work and time one has to put into a Sims story is much larger, but rating a story (and the emotional temptations behind it) remain the same. Giving "tactical ratings" for a story can have a profound effect on the creator, because so much more time and effort is at stake and the emotional binding to the story is much higher. BTW this is not only about RAISING an average score. Imagine three people have given 5 stars to a story when a fourth reader reads it. (S)he thinks it's only worth a 4 but sees the appearantly way too high average score of 5.0, so (s)he rates it a "1" instead and the average will come tumbling down to 4.0, because (5 + 5 + 5 + 1) / 4 = 4.0. A rating job well done?
I know there are much more important matters in life than rating a Sims story and I am pretty sure there are some people giving random ratings at the TSR site without reading the story they rated at all just to collect some daily kudos. So no matter how you rate yourself you have to take every rating with a grain of salt. Still I find the issue interesting, so I have started a poll on rating. As soon as I have figured out how to create a poll correctly (my first attempt at my mini-site was garbage), feel free to participate.
The Sims 3
I purchased the Sims3 and found it is ok, but it can't really take the place of my Sims2.... I just love this game...
Making walls and houses is just such a treat for me....It keeps my mind thinking of new ways to build this or make that.
I just love thesimsresource.... this is the only place I will come to get furniture, etc for my sims...TSR is a trusted sight for me.
I must spend hours with my sims, growing them and building for them and making for them...... Keep Simming everyone....
Sorry everyone, but I've got bad news....
Hey everyone...well I'm sorry to say it but I'll be takinga break. Not for long hopefully, but I really can't post anymore right now.
And before you go all complainy on me let me explain why.
First of all, I have school.
Second, I have piano practice, play rehearsals, and FFA stuff to do afterschool.
Third, My grandfather just died, so I'll be busy with that. So I'll be gone for probably 1-2 weeks.
Sorry everyone. Thanks for reading though.
Take care and don't kill eachother in my absence :P

Striking resemblance
Maybe you have found the sim named "Kangee Blackburn" at MTS: http://nene.modthesims.info/download.php?t=421145. The creator is Kamelot_Fan.
"Kangee Blackburn" looks similar to my sim "Klaus": http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1012156. I declare, I hadn't a clue that another creator wants to make a guy that looks how these two.
My file AETHODRY_Klaus.Sims3Pack is dated september 25th 2010, Kamelot_Fan's file Kangee_Blackburn1.sim is dated october 3rd 2010.
His model has more male face, but looks also good. Maybe he is an alternatve for your sims-ladies?
Feeling Uncreative
No new creations from me today. I was kind of bummed all weekend and feeling rather uncreative. I played my game instead and even that didn't cheer me up. Then I tried redecorating a lot for a sim I plan to move in so I don't have to mess with remodeling later. But, I did a few rooms and then just sort of stared at it. No more ideas. I did the exterior and then didn't feel like doing the rest of the interior. I dunno. Guess I had creator's block. I almost made a pattern, but just stared at the screen. *blink* *blink*
I hate when I get in a mood like this. Creative indecision and just the plain old blahs. Four and a half days of work this week and then I'm on vacation. Woot! I hope I shake this mood by then. Maybe as the week progresses I'll get my rhythm back.
So I took my adventure sim to Egypt finally. It's kind of weird catching crocodiles with a fishing pole. Of course catching frogs with a fishing pole is odd too. And jellyfish. I was hoping to jump in the water and wrestle one to shore. Would've made for a much better adventure. I need some for some quest in France. I got almost no loot. Sheesh. Pretty slim pickins. Egypt isn't as annoying as China, but it's boring. The landscape is boring, the people are boring, the quests so far have been boring. I was ready to bomb the place just so there was some activity. Gads. Er, anyway, I bought the good camera and little what nots. Got the obsessive snake charming basket. You'd think sims would have better things to do than obsess over that nasty thing. What? Snake bites are fun now? Joy. Maybe it was just my crappy mood this weekend but I was unimpressed and remembered why I never go there. I stick to France mostly. There are lots of people to talk to, the landscape is pretty, and it's pretty compact. China is OK but I have better things to do with my sims than spend 12 hours trekking up the side of a mountain on a cow path just to see the Temple of Nothing at the top and then spend the rest of the day running all the way back down the mountain. Wow, riveting stuff there. If it wasn't for all the rocks on the way it wouldn't result in anything but a huge waste of time. And let's go see a moldy green army of statues a million miles away from any civilization, also up an extremely large hill, reachable only on foot. Look, a hole in the ground. I think I'll jump in and see if I can at least scare myself on this trip. What I wouldn't give for a shiny gold tiki head and a rolling boulder. There's always the Dragon's Maw. Which reminds me of Aladdin's Cave of Wonders, Onyxia's Lair from World of Warcraft, and possibly Castle Greyskull. By the power of... aw, nevermind.
Bet ya thought I wasn't going to fit any random crap in this time. Ha! There it is. Your random dose of the day. I better go. I'm in a horrible mood. May the powers that be smile on me and prevent me from uttering any other stupid things today.
