I'm not sure if I've done it justice, but at the very least anyone else who has fantasised about creating a science-fiction lot in which all of the female townies have been converted into slinky cyborgs will now have a sporting chance of enacting it. ;) (Hint: one of your sims needs to buy a clothes shop / salon, and then make frequent use of the "Suggest an Outfit - Everyday" sales option, followed up by offering free makeovers to any sim who is persuaded into buying the robot suit).

MY FIRST STORY: A Snag Jumped Up And Chopped Off My Best Tools, autobiographical

Things were going great, so I started drafting a story line. A lot of my community lots took on new meanings, so I revamped several of them, and added some more. I bought WA to enhance the Sim's life-styles. Gran's and Nana's lot are set, necessary characters CAS'd, Midtown District is a real center-city hub now, and new games have been saved relative to each unique story line.

I was tooling right along, Then The Unthinkable Happened.

My favorite hand, the right one, lost a bitter war with a fragile glass vase. Not good since I'm right-handed. The fingertips on the middle and ring fingers were sliced off, down into their nailbeds, and my pinky was cut pretty deeply. It isn't permanently disabling, but I won't have readable fingerprints on my middle or ring fingers, and my pinky will be numb because I severed some nerve endings.

I'm not taking any pain meds, just antibiotics, so walk around with my right hand held up in the air above my heart to lessen the throbbing. I can't get my right hand wet (thank gawd for day spas), and my left hand is a complete idiot. It's my own fault, though. I never have paid my left hand much attention.

I know I must look like a lunatic. I just hope no one thinks I'm "throwing them the bird."

I'm "hunt-and-peck" typing with the one reasonably good finger on my right hand, but can't wrap my hand around my mouse. I never did master that stupid touchpad, so I've been placed on the Sim's Injured List, to use baseball terminology.

The poor Brownings are on their own for a while.

I am studying stories posted here with a passion, as far back as I can. That's best anyway; I may have the imagination for story-telling, but not the finesse.

I hope to get called up from the minors again soon (more baseball terminology). I was hyped about this story development thing; I get so bored just playing the game.

Upcoming bathroom

There is a lot of stuff going on in my private life right now, in addition to school, so I am unfortunately not able to create as much I would like to... I have been working on this bathroom for a while, but because of everything it's going to take a while to finish it.

Today I finally got a chance to work on it again! I had just almost finished the toilet, only a few bone assignments left, when milkshape crashed. And stupid as I am, I hadn't saved anything while I was working on it, so I lost everything! It just ruined my motivation to work on it more today... Gah, so annoying!

Anyway, here's a preview of what I got so far!

I haven't had much time to play.  also had a glich in the game, one of my families wouldn't load..moved them, all better.  I start working on monday!!  I'm very excited.  and a little nervouse.  new job jitters. lol.  I don't know how much free time I'll have to write or play, so the stories will be spaced out.  I do plan to keep my Legacy sim updated regurarly over at the forum.  almost time to update her,  I will be playing her soon.  can't wait for her to have her baby, though it will bring me up to a total of 68 sims...

BIG News!

Okay, I have some news . . . I think I'm going to start uploading homes that are not decorated. By this I mean there will be one finished version with the interior and exterior designed fully and one version where if you download it you can decorate it yourself. I've decided to do this because I have found that I use a lot of custom/downloaded items in all of my houses. And I know it irritates me if I have to download all these objects in order to download the house! So, this is me being kind to you, the folk who like my homes but hate the long times it takes to haqve it in their game. So, that is your Christmas present, haha!

So many projects, so little time

Okay so, I just began making houses that are starting to be available for download. Of course I will still post my stories but I wanted to see how well I would do making houses. My first home is a test. I just did my second home and I have to say, I LOVE the way that it looks! It should be available tomorrow for downloads. I'm not expecting a bombardment of downloads because I just began making them but I hope to get some response if any. I am also working on chapter 4 of starting over and waiting for chapter 3 to be published. I need to find out how to edit my screenies........IDK!

The Young Legacy.

Hey,

Wow it's been ages since I've been on here, I used to come on all the time, but then Sims 3 came along, and it literally blew me away. If anyone's got Sims 3 you might understand it's pull, it is just as addictive as Sims 2, in fact even more so because of the open neighbourhood.

I feel horrible but I have to go back on my promise, I promised I would continue The Young Legacy and at the time I truly did think I would, but as you all know when Sims 2 came along it replaced Sims 1 - I could no longer look at Sims 1 and be like wow I love this game, it seemed so backward and unimpressive, and it's the same with Sims 2 now, if I see pictures of Sims 2, Sims especially, all I can see is how awkward and unrealistic they look, the grass doesn't look green and the houses look all weird.

I love CASt, and I'm used to it, to go back to not being able to drag one colour onto another object, I couldn't do that, you may think I'm weird for not being able to go back to Sims 2, I know some people don't like it and refuse to play it, well that's their choice.

I really do love Sims 3, I don't like the story telling with Sims 3 which is why I don't upload Stories to my sims 3 page, and I will admit I do miss writing about my sim families the way I did with The Young Legacy and I especially loved the comments and folllowing I found on this great site.

But as you'll all probably find out at some point, things change, and now I'm an adult and I don't Sim as much as I used to anyways, I try to, but when I had a job I barely had time to turn on the computer let alone sim, and I'm inbetween jobs at the moment, but i'm hoping that's just temporary.

You never know I might at some point load it up for old time's sake and see where the game takes me, but I can't see it happening at the moment, especially because this new laptop is still having it's overheating issues! :( I just wanted you all to know my reasons for stopping the legacy.

Wow didn't realise I had that many Sims albums lol! If you're intirgued about the game or love it as much as I do, feel free to check them out. You should be able to see all the images even without a facebook account I think, but most people have an account anyways so it shouldn't really matter.

New venture, No CC lots

Hi everyone who reads this lol.  I have decided to make several lots without using custom content. Some will be base game and others will be with expansions. My reason for taking this on is that I was always concerned about lot file sizes. It is easy for me to make a lot that is well over 20mb using custom patterns, terrain paint and objects.

I wasn't aware that using CC can cause problems with another players game. All my CC comes from TSR and is TSRAA only.  So far I have made 2 lots without CC and one is with expansions and the other is base game and both homes are totally different.

I plan on leaving these lots unfurnished to keep file sizes down and also let the downloader decorate with their own CC or EA store items.  I have no idea who download my lots and then get inside and strip it and then redecorate to their liking. It takes a lot of time in the design tool to change patterns on walls, cabinets and objects and since I am not doing that, I can really make many No CC lots in a quicker amount of time.

This has actually been fun then a challenge but their have been times I wish I could have used a CC pattern on something because I don't always like what EA has to offer lol.

Alcudia, Mallorca, Spain, part 5 Future

Hello everyone,

Another update, we've reach oktober already, time fly's when you're having fun. I've left my home a little bit over 7 months ago, a lot off things happend in that time back home and here on Mallorca. good things but also some bad things, some happend a while ago and everybody moved on but for me it's gonna be a bit diffrent I suddenly come in situations that I don't know how to deal with... But I know I'm gonna be fine,

After all thoise months I still don't know what to do next...... 

Any way in 3 weeks my season on Mallorca is over, next week the island is starting to get ready for the winter, yes Mallorca is shutting down only Palma and some other big places remain open during the winter, but mostley the coastal places are turning into ghost towns.

On the 29th of this month we stop the entertainment, after that it's clean up and pack our bags again and get ready to go home.

I do not know when I'll be flying back it will be around this date can be the 1st of november aswell. I know I said that I would upload The Manor & the Swan Residence from twillight this has been prosponed to early november somewhere in the first 2 weeks, the reason for the delay is that the internet connection that I've got here on the Island is really slow (I tryed to upload it several times but it's a no go) the second reason is that I need some things from WA and maybe NL (nightlife) and some TSR stuff that's on my main computer back home I need this in order to make it better.

I can't be sure about the release date duo the fact that I've got a lot off stuff to do when I'm back,

Registrate again, inssurance, visit friends & family, new family members visit (baby's) house warmings, small trip to Londen from the 12th till the 14th of november.

And most important get a job, don't know what to do next, would love to work in a diffrent country again the States perhaps don't know where to start.....

As you see a lot off insecurities......................

Break

I would insert for an indefinite time, a creative break from the Sims. Since I arrived here with my downloads on a niveau, which corresponds to my beginnings at TSR. My time is too valuable to them with something that I spend, what no one wants more. I would have liked the many houses that are waiting in the publication Creators Valley, shared with you, but that disinterest is too high.

Of course I will test the new addon and let's see .... may arise but new possibilities.

Pieces of Me Chapters

So after an extremely busy week of writing new chapters for my story I will be gone for all of the weekend doing family things, so I have written chapter 17 and 18, both tonight, so that you will have some reading to tie you over for the weekend.

I originally only planned to do a few more chapters but I had a bizarre dream the other night and decided that I would throw that as a twist into the story, so now the story has been extended and will be continuing the story for a few more chapters and I will see where I am when I am done with those fully, to decide if I want to continue or stop it where I originally intended to stop it.

I have gotten much more feedback than I had originally anticipated when I started the story and I have tried really hard to give you, my readers, what you want without taking away from my original storyline. I am extremely pleased with all the comments and feedback and appreciate everyone who has read and commented. This story would not have come along so nicely, if it wasn’t for you. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the next two chapters!

Awesome Site

Although im not too fond of paying for CC I think this site is awesome for several reasons. The download wizard and the fact that you can just add 200 items in your basket and download them whenever you have time. Plus the best part is you can have your own mini site which beats opening up your own website, paying for it and struggling to get any visitors....!! There is so much kool stuff around here!

Lot Update

So... my next lot has been approved. It will be available tomorrow. See, I still build. LOL I just get sidetracked by playing, or decorating, or... you know how it goes. So much fun, so little time to do it.

I'll run off a ditty about my next lot, Eleanor, now. It's another small lot. I stuck with blue for most of the color. I decorated with elegant wallpapers and really nice furniture. Quite classy for some lil missy in your hood. The main floor is kind of ho-hum. You know, bedrooms, kitchen, living room, etc. The norm. The basement is full of fun stuff though and that's also where the laundry and another bathroom are located. I threw some yellow in just for fun. And there is a pink bathroom for the master suite. That's about all the pink I did this time. There isn't much yard left so if you have any outdoor-hating sims this would be perfect. They can play in the basement and avoid all sunshine if they so choose. If you stick it on something larger than the original 20x30 you'll get some green back. I'm pretty pleased with it. It's a cute addition to my hoods.

I think I have one more floorplan picked out for a small lot and then I'll go back to the more exciting stuff. I let my sims have big families usually so I like to build lots that accommodate them. And big lots are more popular than small lots as far as downloading goes. Unfortunately they take me a lot longer to do. It's that decorating thing again. So many options. And I always get lost picking out wall coverings, choosing colorschemes, and trying to get vanilla game stuff to match. I did Eleanor with my CC active and that was HARD. Torture! I'll have to stick to running without CC when I build. It's the only way to keep my sanity. Stiffling I WANT IT! and MUST USE IT! is unbearable.

I had a really nice bit of randomness here and just deleted it. After re-reading my post I thought it might not considered family-friendly. LOL I really need to get my website back up so I can blog about stuff that will make you giggle til you pee.

Autumn Collection 2010

Autumn is probably my favourite time of year and a great season for fashion, so here is my Autumn Collection 2010, comprising four cosy outfits in Autumn colours.

All the outfits are available for adults and young adults (I think these would make ideal college outfits) and two of the outfits are available as outerwear. All the outfits use Maxis meshes so there are no external meshes to download. The pleated skirt uses the cheerleader mesh from University so this outfit will only show up in your game if you have that expansion pack installed. The turned up jeans may also require University but I'm not sure, so if that outfit doesn't show up in your game that may be the reason why. The military jacket borrows some elements from Cassandra Goth's dress - I hope she doesn't mind!

The bags shown in the preview are two of my recolours of NataliS bag HB-2 mesh : Birkins by Bunny.

As for the Bridal Collection, I have again created a universal collection file which includes not only these new outfits but all of my previous Autumn outfits.

I've been a busy girl! Went back to school for a bit, got moved into my new house with my son, been working full time, and just finally got things settled enough that I can finally get on here for a while. YAY!!! I couldn't believe all of the amazing comments and downloads you have all been sweet enough to give me in my (stupid real-life really can suck) absence. Thank you, thank you!!!!! The Steele Family

Mason Steele moved into town with his wife Elizabeth, their son Micah, and his younger sister Gayle, with no familial connections, no friends, and very little money.  However, despite their initial hardships, Mason very much appreciated the peace and quietude of Old Town.  It was a welcome change from the atmosphere of their previous residence in the big city.  On the other hand, while the Downtown area was filled with its share of unique individuals, it was a little difficult for the Steeles to fit into Old Town's social scene.  After all, it wasn't every day that Old Town welcomed a man with purple hair, his wife who wore blue lipstick, and his sister who wore her dark blue hair in tails.  Despite this, they did their best.

Mason, a Theorist, had been the victim of a malicious practical joke by rivals of his at the university he'd been working at--he'd been on the fast track to tenure while others, who were not as intelligent or as hard-working, had been bypassed.  While in the gym, they'd added a permanent dye to his shampoo.  By rights, it should have eventually grown out, but one of his meaner rivals had added a little something extra.  The end result was that his blonde hair was now purple...permanently.  Angry and embarassed, Mason had left the university and taken a new job in a new town, bringing his family with him.  Old Town residents had been surprised by his hair color, but after the truth was circulated, they accepted him readily enough.  After all, Magic Town was quite nearby, and those residents were much stranger.  By those standards, purple hair was rather tame.

To show her support of her husband, Elizabeth adopted a less than conventional style than she'd previously had.  Now her already dark hair sported midnight blue highlights, and she wore blue lipstick which, surprisingly, matched rather well with her new preference for blue clothing.  Added to her dark eyes and darker mascara, she gave an impression of being exotic and otherworldly, an asset to her in her profession as an Exorcist.  Although she wears a business suit for work, everything still matches, since the suit itself is black.

Compared to her brother and sister-in-law, Gayle is much more individualistic.  She deliberately dyed her blonde hair a dark blue while in her teens, all the better to demonstrate her uniqueness.  She maintained the trend throughout college and into her journalism career, where her dyed hair helped her appear younger, thus giving her an "in" with the younger crowds.  Although she has since risen to become a National News Anchor, the dark blue hair with the two tails has become her trademark, and sets her apart from the rest of her rather drab, generic, clone-like peers.  She's still a professional, and does her job with the same degree of dedication as any of her colleagues, though she does tend not to draw high-visibility assignments (such as dealing with politicians and business leaders) when she's not at the anchor's desk.

While his friends in school are waiting to see what he'll do, Micah chooses to do nothing spectacular with his appearance.  Although he was initially a little embarassed by his father's irreversible appearance, he's come to accept it, and is even pleased that so many of his new Old Town friends think his dad's cool for having such wild hair.  Besides, with an aunt whose fame and notoriety was practically birthed by her unconventional appearance, Micah couldn't help but admit that sometimes standing out was the best way to get ahead.  Not that he would worry about that for the time being...he just wants to get through shool.

Unfortunately, the Steele family couldn't escape less-than-good notoriety for long.  Because Gayle didn't usually draw political interviews, she had no idea that a man she met and fell in love with while on assignment just happened to be a powerful Senator, and a married man in addition.  In her defense, he never told her who he was, only that his name was Grant.  Although she thought he looked familiar, it wasn't until she became pregnant and told him that he revealed himself and promised to divorce his wife to marry her.  Upset, she tried to break things off with him, and the resulting stress of a broken heart and restless mind caused her to miscarry (though the doctors told her that it had really been because of the fall she took when she'd been knocked down while doing a news report at a football game).  Despite the loss of their child, Grant followed through with his divorce from Gertrude Silver and persisted in pressing Gayle to marry him.  Finally, unable to come up with any further excuses and still in love with him, Gayle agreed to marry Grant and he moved into the Steele home.  (Not, however, before Mason told him in no uncertain terms that if Grant ever did anything to hurt Gayle in any way, he would find a way to humiliate Grant far worse than simply having his hair color permanently changed.)

Shortly after Gayle and Grant's wedding, Mason and Gayle's brother Ivan moved in with them.  Of the three of them, he was now the most normal looking, having his natural blonde hair untouched by dye (or whatever had been done to Mason's hair).  And since he was more normal looking than them, Ivan decided he wanted a profession that catered to the normal looking and didn't have to take into account a person's odd taste in appearance (therefore, the majority of people).  To that end, he went into the fashion industry.  Soon realizing that he was wrong about his reasons for his job, he amended his outlook on fashion and has now become a Fashion Columnist who focuses on those same unusual tastes.  While he is a little critical of those who do odd things to themselves just to stand out, he primarily offers guidance on utilizing fashions that stand out without standing out--or at least don't stand out in a negative way.

It was in the course of his work--and his commentary on rock star fashions--that he met, interviewed, and fell in love with an upcoming Rock Star named Sophie.  He helped guide her away from gimmicky outfits and overly revealing outfits and outfits that just didn't work on stage.  Together they crafted her new look, one that tantalized and tempted without revealing, that fit all genres and styles without conforming to any one.  Their collaboration led to their marriage, and Sophie moved into the Steele family home.  It was only on their wedding day that Ivan and the Steeles learned that Sophie was actually part of the wide-ranging Verde clan, which extended to the wealthy Gold family, the well-known Adonii family, and the exceptional Venii family.  For Grant it was a difficult wedding to get through since Sophie's younger brother, Jean-Claude, had replaced him as Gertrude Silver's husband and, despite the relative amicability of their divorce (she spoke with him, albeit coolly and never about their sons), he couldn't help feeling jealous that she had moved on so quickly after their split.

Aurora, Ivan and Sophie's daughter, has thus far grown up much as her cousin Micah did, though without the same stresses he did (relatives with dyed hair caused him a bit, even if he accepted it and others did as well).  She has no plans to dye her hair either, though when she is older she does want to use temporary dye to see how she'd look with pink or green hair.  On the other hand, she knows perfectly well that if she did anything permanent like that, she'd be hit with criticisms on several different fronts since she, like her 3rd cousin Elaine Gold, arguably has the most familial connections in Old Town.

I have been so very busy with RL and with writing this story I haven't had very much time to sit down and thank everyone personally yet for their wonderful comments on the last few chapters of my story, so a quick but very humble thank you to everyone who has read and commented on my story! I hope that you will continue to read as we are nearing the final chapters. Thank you again, this story wouldn't have been as great if it weren't for all the comments and readers!!

Future Projects and Updates

I have recently started my classes so i will have less time to create. But i have many projects in the works so I will upload with some regularity. At least once a month. I have a new sim of Eva Longoria-Parker that will be out some time this month.

Mirabello Collection continues

Well, I'm back again after a short break to carry on increasing my Mirabello Lot Collection.  I hope my disappearance has not got anyone thinking I was giving up ... far from it.  It just so happened that I needed to focus on a little private life for a while.  I hope my re-appearance has made you happy ;o)

REJECTED!?!?

Oye. Add this to my problems list.

So last night, I sent in Part 6 to be published. I was so happy and excited, I had finally got back on track. I even have half of Part 7 done! This is great! Nothing can ruin this!

WRONG! So apperantly I had to remove some parts due to violence (no murder or suicide or death, I swear!!). Which really ticks me off because now the dramatic effect has been ruined. And everyone who knows me knows how much I loooooove drama!!

Just kidding. I actually tend to stray away from drama ang gossip and all that crap, but I do like suspense, which is what was taken away.

:'(

So now I have taken out those parts and added a lil bit more to make it sound a bit better, but I'm still steamed that 2 DAYS OF MY TIME WERE WASTED ON MAINLY THOSE PARTS, AND NOW I HAVE TO GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!

Whatever I guess. Ya win some, ya lose some. Hopefully in a couple years when I can actually have a job, my story can be published as a REAL book and maybe then you can all read the real suspense.

Yes, I am a huge dreamer and too ambitious for my own good. ;)
