New story, at last!!!

Okay, so I've finally uploaded the first chapter of my new story and I'm working on the second right now! I did try to upload the title page here on this blog post but there was a problem. Anyway, just look out for a story called Whispers - coming to a webpage near you SOON!

Glenriff Re-upload

After almost 3500 downloads somebody finally found the hair to step up and say...Hey lizard head, where's the interior that's in the screenshots? Sure shootin', come to find out I unwittingly uploaded an unfinished simpack that was sent to another artist who was going to furnish and decorate it. Now, to all the 3500 rest of you who said nothing, I forgive you but your recompense is to upload the new file and enjoy that lovely interior I slaved over. Bridges Burned Update...

Chapter 5 is done!!  It should hopefully be up tonight(I submitted it yesterday).  I loved your guy's comments, but i'm going to have to just let you wait to find out.  I will tell you this...Josh does have issues and you'll get to learn more about him and his personality in this chapter...

 

Now i'm off to finish chapter 6! :) 

my new project: curtains

 

I was not really active the last two month. I think it was too hot here. ;-) But now I'm back.

Actually I'm working on some curtains. Curtains for closed windows are already finished. It is one mesh with 7 different styles. I want to make some curtains for my open casement windows too and I hope that I'll get a grip on it. ;-)

Special Birthday Upload (Update)

Hi simmers. Here is an update on my creation. All of the creations for both males and females have been created. However, the female creations leave a black mark on the neck. I will fix this. It leaves a mark because the original tee is designed for a male. It isn't noticeable in game, but it is in CAS. It will be fixed in time for the 12th August. Now time to look for the images again...

Single File Painting Sets

It has been a while since I last blogged, so here goes... :-)

Those of you who have visited my Minisite will have seen that I have had a poll running and I would like to thank you for taking the time to vote in it.  It was about how you would prefer to download your painting sets,  as single files, i.e. four paintings in a set four files, or one single file, i.e. four paintings in a set and one file.

Well the vast majority of people who voted were in favour of the one file for all paintings in the set, so this is how I will making my paintings sets now.

You may have seen that I have been trying out the new Create-A-Pattern Tool from EA Games and I have made a few patterns. Below is an example of my Natural Bamboo Pattern.

I have discovered you can re-colour the clock face of the little round clock in TS3 and I have posted a few for you to download. I will be posting more later.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Ingredients 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 6 tablespoons butter 3 eggs 1 cup white sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips Directions 1.In the microwave or in a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt unsweetened chocolate, 1 cup of the chocolate chips, and the butter stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. In a large bowl, whip eggs and sugar until thick and pale, about 2 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and the chocolate mixture until well mixed. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into the chocolate mixture. Fold in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips. Cover dough and chill for at least an hour or overnight. 2.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Roll chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets so they are 2 inches apart. 3.Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Kitty Crazy ; struggling single mom

Fall meant more work around the house.  Kitty Crazy couldn’t afford to hire a maid or a gardener.  Unlike other nature enthusiasts, Kitty’s vegetable garden wasn’t just a hobby but a vital asset.  She’d sunk every penny she had in her new home.  It was a bit bigger then her last one.  Her two daughters, Sindee and Jenni still had to share a room.  Yet she was able to give the girls a better life then she had her son Dan.

Not the marring kind, Kitty had a lot of boyfriends.  When she first moved to Pleasantview she got involved with a married man named Daniel Pleasant.  She had a son with him.  Daniel wasn’t a very doting father, but he did try to spent time with Dan.  His wife, Mary Sue, however had been a great help to Kitty.  She visited often and had even once taken care of Dan as an infant letting Kitty catch up on some sleep.  Mary Sue encouraged her daughters Lilith, Angela and Megan to spend time with their brother.  Lilith was more involved, she spent hours playing catch with Dan.  Angela called him frequently, occasionally stopping by to gossip with him.  Megan was distant and seldom bothered with her brother.  Mary-sue and Lilith never missed one of Dan’s birthday parties and Lilith had attended his college graduation.

Sindee and Jenni didn’t have the same kind of family connections.  Their father was a townie named Sinjin Couderc.  He’d been by to meet the girls but hardly talked to them.  He never showed up for any of their birthdays.

Kitty struggled to make ends meet.  Dan was already moved out with a child of his own by the time Sindee was born.  It was the Birth of her granddaughter Kitten Lames that made Kitty realize she had been drinking from the Elixir of life a little too much.   Almost every sim she had known when she first moved to the neighborhood was either dead or an elder with only two exceptions, and one of them finally succumbed to time and grew up to an elder.  The new laws limiting the use of elixir was forcing those who wanted to be young forever grow old. 

As Kitty pulled weeds in her garden she thought about what a blessing in disguise becoming an elder might actually be, but for now she knew she still had a good amount of time left enjoying her status as an adult or at least try to enjoy it.

Kitty had left her dream job of being a professional party guest for more steady work in the entertainment field.  It paid a little better but it left her little time for her romantic pursuits.  Her garden and yard work took up most her time at home. 

The house work was left to Sindee to do.  The teen also cared for her little sister.   Now that Jenni was a child, she could do a lot more for herself.  Sindee was a smart girl and breezed through her homework.  She never had to get caught up on it.  It was a good thing since she spent so much time cleaning the house and preparing meals.  She won two scholarships for college.  She didn’t get to pursue her love of sports often.  She mostly watched it on TV, but ever so often one of her mom’s many boyfriends would toss a football with her. 

Jinni, like her sister, was a grouchy but friendly sim.  She brought a friend home from school almost everyday.  She played cops and robbers with Rob Kim one day and mary mac with Betsey Broke the next.  Jim-Bob Broke came over a different day and joined her on the playground. 

Sindee greeted a townie who hung around for a while, he got to talking with Kitty and decided to set her up on a blind date with Dean Caliente.  Having another new guy hanging out with their mom was very upsetting to the girls.  they went to bed early not wanting to be around the dating couple.

Kitty got along very well with Dean.  Tired from a long day she invited him to relax on the bed with her while they talked.  They talked for a little while until Kitty couldn’t stay up any longer.  She got in her PJs and went to sleep. 

Sindee got up early the next day.  She was glad it was a Saturday.  She put her sports channel on.  She was surprised when Dean joined her on the couch still in the same work cloths he’d arrived in.  He talked with her for a little while, before he headed home.

When Kitty got up she served pancakes for the girls and then it was time for chores.  Sindee cleaned the three bathrooms and made all the beds.  Jinni picked up the leaf piles her mother had racked up and composted them.  Both girls cleaned up the dead flower beds and old newspapers.  In the afternoon Kitty served the girls some lunch meat sandwiches before letting them enjoy the rest of the day while she pulled weeds in the garden.  Jenni ran for her playground and Sindee called some friends.

Sunday brought a going away party for Sindee.  She had finally reached the age to go off to college.  Kitty mostly invited her friends.  Dan showed up with his wife Mellow. Sindee hadn’t been surprised that her father hadn’t showed up for her party.  Kitty splurged and bought some important items for her daughter’s dorm. 

Sindee didn’t leave right away after the party.  She waited til everyone left and her mother had gone to bed.  She spent some time playing catch with Jenni.  They watched a movie together and chatted.  Finally it was time for Jenni to go to sleep.  Sindee hugged and kissed her little sister good-bye. 

“don’t cry”  she told her, “I’ll be home for your birthday soon.”

Jenni wait for the taxi to leave with her sister before she went to bed.

The Night Prisoner

 The 4th chapter of The Night Prisoner is waiting for aproval now....Rejected once so far....But, I won't be abled to continue..... My computer dumped the game save for it. If requested I will tell those who ask what was going to happen.  Sad day....very...... :((

Another Year Older...

Humbug. Another year has come and gone. My bday was yesterday. Bdays are so unexciting once you're a grownup. All the pizzazz is gone. Oh well. I'm not really old and I've been stuck at 18 forever anyway so it really doesn't matter. I don't plan on getting old and gray either. I'd prefer to go while I can still feed myself and wipe my own butt. Call me crazy. Just because modern medicine can extend our lifespans much longer than ever before doesn't mean we really should live that long. That's just my opinion though. I know, I'm so cold and heartless. Whatever.

I've been thinking about traits again and I can't wait for the addition of shy with Late Night. Since I have that trait in real life I noticed it was missing right away (you'd never guess if you've only met me online, invisibility is power), and loner ain't the same thing. Actually, just do introvert and extrovert. Or I guess you can settle for shy and friendly. Less scientific terms. I think touchy feely, incontinent, hyperactive, OCD (neurotic and insane don't come close), and many others should be added as well. We need to get some stereotypical problem children in the hood. And I don't care to be touched so those people you come across in life that like to get really, really, really close to you when they talk and touch you and hug you for no reason really give me the heebie jeebies. Do not invade the personal space. My radius is far larger than that of a normal person. And shouldn't there be age-specific traits too? Like incontinence for old farts, picky eater for children, eating disorder and low self-esteem for teens, near-sighted and far-sighted, etc. So you actually have a reason to give your sims specs. Cripes. Glasses aren't just decoration. Most people don't wear them for looks. What a stupid idea. It's like wearing a cast on a perfectly good limb or braces on teeth that are fine or a hairpiece on a bald head. Just be bald, be fat, be lazy, be ugly, be... whatever. Like the crazy parachute pants with useless zippers on them in the 80s. God awful noisy things and every zipper was useless. There weren't even pockets to get to. Just zippers. And stirrup pants. What exactly are we riding? Have pants gotten so unruly that we need stirrups to hold them onto us? And why can't toddlers have a favorite blankie they drag around like Linus? And it stays with them their entire life. And they can snap their siblings in the butt for getting out of line. You find them sleeping with it as an adult when the first baby is on the way or they lost their job. Stuff like that. I mean, c'mon, if ya want to get weird, get weird already! Why can't neurotic sims read self-help books to get better? Why are sims so nasty when they play catch? I mean, my GOOD sims, with the trait and everything, turbo their girlfriend in the face with the football. What the H? Idiots! I say the girls should whip it back with a bullseye on the family jewels. Take that you testosterone driven pig. How is inflicting pain on someone you love funny? Or a parent to a child. That's abuse! It's one thing if they miss the catch but deliberately launching it at them at a speed and angle that they totally can not intercept for a giggle is just sick. And I really don't think the make funny face interaction should be allowed past child. Maybe teen boys. Doesn't it seem... wrong when you're downtown and adult sims are making strange noises and faces at each other. I always feel like I just took a trip to the land of very-few-brains-and-even-less-friends. DAR! DAR! DAR! droool... If somebody did that to me in real life I'd back away slowly and look for a weapon. Heck, if I was a sim I'd carry at least a nightstick with me at all times just to smack stupid sims like that. A tazer would be better. And I'm confused. How does being mauled by a bear burn your sim to a crisp? Is it a fire-breathing bear? Does it shoot lightning out of its eyes? It's a magic bear ain't it. Evil voodoo bears are lurking in every mausoleum. Forget the dead, undead, and just the generally creepy. We need VOODOO BEARS! Why don't sims have iPods and why can't they text each other? I'm not a fan of texting but you'd think sims would have something cooler than just a cellphone by now. I think it ought to be like a Star Trek communicator and you can just beam yourself places. Minus the nasty jumpsuits of course.

Um... OK. I'll stop. That's just a bunch of randomness for you today. I'm sure I'll have another lot or something soon if work sticks to a normal pace for awhile. Tally ho and all that rot.

Pieces of Me Chapter 6

After wrapping up chapter 5 last night and submitting it, i started right away working on chapter 6, everything was going so smooth when of course something had to happen that was out of my control, on more than one occasion i might add, which in turn made me laugh quite a bit! So i scurried to pause my game and take some screens, so when i get chapter 6 out i will post some of the blooper screenies for some of the things thanks to EA that i couldn't control!

I wish i could put them out now but it would give away some things that need not be revealed until read. So keep an eye out for them hopefully within the next couple of days.!

Special Birthday Upload.

Hey felleow Simmers. Today I have been working for around five hours to upload something special on the 12th August (MY BIRTHDAY!!!). It will feature about twelve tees for children right through to elder and is an Everyday, sleepware, swimware and athletic clothing available for Males and Females. Victorian Palm House

A favourite place to go in the UK is the Victorian Palm Houses - I'm making one to upload complete with butterflies and other activities for the ladies and men of leisure!! Another few weeks and I should have my first attempt ready.

Update on Bridges Burned...

Chapter 4 was just submitted!! :)  It's going to be a follow up on Zac and how he's doing.  You'll even finally meet her mother. :)  Oh and her mother meets Josh...for the first time?  Hmmm...I guess you'll have to wait to find out. :P

Pieces of me Chapter 5 is well under way and almost completed, I will be putting it together tonight and submitting it. I might work on the 6th chapter and release it before putting out the bonus chapter, as the storyline has just become a little more complicated and want to leave at least a little bit mystery to it, to make you all wonder what is going on!

Dina and Stanley Caliente ; A son's return

Household; Dina Caliente = elder

Stanley Caliente = Adult

What Stanley found when he returned home from college was not what he had expected.  His Mother, Dina had become an empty shell of a woman.  She got up early to tend her garden, she went to work and when she came home she raked leaves before going to bed.  Their were nature magazines and art magazines laying untouched all over the front lawn and a few scattered about inside the house.  The maid would clean up the paper at least which drove Dina nuts.

“I want that for my compost,” she’d complain.  She refused to let Stanley help with the garden like he had when he was growing up. 

“I pay a gardener to do that” she’d protest.

Sometimes at night he’d see her standing over his father’s grave crying.

Dina had never been able to marry Stetson.  She had once been dating Mortamer Goth with plans to get engaged.  She was however fooling around with Don Lotherio.  She had been woohooing with Don when Mortermer had walked in on them.  They’d had a hugh fight and Mortamer stopped seeing her.  Instead he married a single mother named Brandi Broke.  Don had been engaged to Cassandra Goth, Mortamer’s daughter, and was also dating Dina’s sister, Nina.  Eventully, Cassandra broke it off with Don and he went on to marry Nina.  Dina, now alone started seeing a townie by the name of Carl Fuchs and eventully got engaged.  Dina had been preparing herself to settle for a life with Carl when two brothers moved to Peasantview.  Staphon and Stetson Studly were like night and day.  The Dark haired Staphon was all about romance, with a happy outgoing personality.  He didn’t take anything very serious.  Stetson’s blonde hair wasn’t the only thing that was a contrast to his brother.  He was a family man with a very serious nature.  Dina fell hard for the brooding Stetson.   They wanted to get married but Carl refused to break their engagement.  Dina and Stetson tried everything to make Carl mad enough to break it off.  Neighbors even tried to help. Carl didn’t care.  He just kept coming around.  Dina and Stetson finally gave up trying and went on with their lives.  Stetson moved in with Dina in the house she once shared with her sister Nina.  They had their oldest son, Dean.  Wanting more space they bought Darren Dreamer’s old house.  Stanley was born a short while later.

After Stetson died, Dina had a hard time moving on.  She still thought about him.  She had tried finding ways to fill her time.  She dated Robert Kim a few times after his wife died, but he passed away shortly after.  Dustin Broke now visited with her from time to time.  His wife had died recently and they were both feeling the pain of loneliness. 

Stanley was doing his best to care for his mom.  He invited friends over and Dina enjoyed talking with them. 

Dina talked to Kitten Lames about her grandfather Daniel Pleasant.  Kitten enjoyed it, having never met him.  Dina told Brandon Roseland stories from when his dad, Cyd first moved to Pleasantview with his little gray dog.   She had many stories for Bobbie Happiness about the Kim family, as well as, his grandmother Hope Happiness.

Stanley never knew what he was going to come home to.  His mom often left food out. He discovered the bills were piling up in the mail box.  Once he came home to find Sindee Crazy playing on the monkey bars. 

“Your mom made me lunch,” Sindee told him, “I think she went to bed cause I haven’t seen her.”

It took some doing, but Stanley convince his mom to retire from work and just enjoy what time she had left.  He was starting to get the feeling that life had lost its joy for her.  Stanley barely found the time to think about his fiancée Sydney Roseland or plan a wedding.  He hoped once he got his mom back on track he could start building a family of his own with Sydney.

Sim Characters.....

Look we all know that there are already characters on the Sims games........well there are some people who just play those and not make new ones. Look and some people are on here that get new skins and clothes and everything to make new Sims and they never forget to make new Sims but, they never make new Sims with everything they got off of this website or any other..........i am wondering why. look i know this is stupid but look i am only thirteen.........i wonder a lot. so if you come across this question and you are one of those smart people who knows the answer to my question please answer it!

Pieces of Me Chapter 4 is done and coming your way!

I sat down early tonight and began writing the 4th chapter of Pieces of Me. I didn't intened on finishing it but as i began unfolding Dani's life and her surrounds, i couldn't stop writing and finished it with ease. I hope all who is reading will enjoy reading this chapter as much as i enjoyed writing it. In this chapter Dani is begining to open up a little bit more and the storyline is moving along nicely, im at such an enjoyable part in this story that i am going to start on the 5th chapter in a few moments, then off to maybe start another bonus chapter, since Ari's bonus chapter was so well liked.

When it comes available for reading i really hope you all enjoy it!

ANOTHER Update! :)

Hey everyone! Here's the current news.

 Sorry I haven't updated anyone in a while. Why? I was actually on vacation relaxing and forgot to bring my laptop. And if you've read my other blogs, yes I know it's kinda mean to go on vacation and have fun when my grandmother's in a very ill condition, but......

SHE'S DOING A LOT BETTER!!!! YAYYYYY!!!

 She's still in the hospital and will be for another couple weeks, but she's doing much better. But again, it can change at any moment, so we're all keeping out fingers crossed. So thank you everyone for the prayers. It really helps. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I love each and everyone of you for it! It really helps to know that people care. :)

So since my grandmother's doing better, I should be back to writing "The Telescope" this Thursday. Why not tomorrow? Well, I'm lazy. :D Sorry-that's what a nice relaxing vacation (and a sunburn) does to you.

Again, thank you everyone for the incouraging comments concerning my grandma and keeping us in your prayers. I'll start writing again on Thrusday and might even put up part 4 and 5.

EvErWoRlD?!?!?!?!

Everworld's going to be continued?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Yes, it's true. Where as Hushed had thousands of downloadable content to make it look very modern, Everworld had, surprisingly, less than that. After three weeks of non-stop downloading (Lots, objects, clothing, hair, skins, walls ect ect) I have managed to collect all the content from Everworld (by examing every picture from the stories and tracking them all down) and more!!! Although the characters will look a tad different, seeing as how i had to re-create every sim, it will be up and running in no time, in fact i am working on the story as we speak.

After a year, I have come up with many more twists and plots for the story so you will not be disappointed.

I just hope my Everworld fans are still out there o_O

Anywhoooo, the next chapter should be up in a matter of days.

Computer Down

Hello all - just FYI, it looks like my laptop is taking a break from me!  So, until I can figure out what is wrong with it and get it fixed, it will be a little while before I can submit pics/stories.   :-(

I am pregnant!!!

Hi @ all who love my houses and wait for more.

I know i am verry quiet and do no new Lots :( So sorry for this, for all who wait for something new. My life is going crazy the last few weeks! But the reason for this are really beautiful and wonderful!

I'm pregnant! I am now in the 11th Week (today 10+2). It's my first pregnancy and so everything is new and exciting and also a little bit frightening. We (my husband and I) are very happy :) But i am often tired and have no desire to do something (like turn on my PC and build some lots).

Due date is the end of February 2011.

Bridges Burned...

   Hey!  I just finished the third part of Bridges Burned!  So hopefully 2 and 3 will be aproved soon. :)  I'm actually really liking where this story is going.  It changed a bit from where I was going to take it.  It has a lot of drama coming up, but a nice twist as well.  I hope you all like it. 

 

   I have also decided that i'm going to do some short stories.  These will be from other characters points of view, so you'll be able to kind of get a feel for them and it'll help understand them more.  I think Josh's is going to be the most shocking of all.  It should definitely leave you with your mouth open.  I'm going to get that one out after the 4th part.  Just because I really can't wait to see your reactions. xD

 

   I also want to thank everyone that's been supportive on this story.  I never thought it would get that many comments and be featured.  That really made me want to get the rest of the chapters out, so thank you again.  I really appreciate it!!!  <333333

Mel Fancey; A New Additude

Household: Mel Fancey = Adult

 Scout = adult male dog

If Mel was going to find love then he would have to change his approach.  His new home was the perfect start for drastic changes.   He was barely settled in when he got invited on an outing by Megan (Pleasant) Dreamer. 

He’d known Megan from when they were teens, before she met Dirk.   They’d never really been more then friends.  They didn’t have much chemistry before.  Yet now, as adults they shared 3.  He spent most of the time at the park talking with her.  He bought her an espresso.  He invited everyone back to his place, Megan and Alexander where the only ones to stay a while. 

Alexander watched TV while Mel and Megan talked.  She wasn’t as happy with Dirk as she’d hoped.  She complained about his step mom.  She talked about the distance with her sisters and how she hardly knew their half brother.  She was sad that she didn’t know her 5 nieces. 

“Why don’t you stay the night to forget your problems for a bit,” Mel suggested.  He spent the rest of the night romancing her.  Alexander Goth wouldn’t leave even after being asked.  He just kept on watching TV.  Mel and Megan ignored them as they made their way to Mel’s room to relax on his bed for more romance that led to woohoo.

In the morning, Mel discovered that Alexander had left at sometime in the night.  He served up some omelets but as he was putting the meal on the table Megan ran out the house mumbling to herself.

Mel ate his breakfast thinking about the trouble he might have started, but he was sure he could steal Megan away from Dirk. 

He cleaned up his dish, put the leftovers away and gave Scout a bath before getting ready for work.

He spent the next few days fixing up the house and caring for Scout.  He started thinking about possibly trying to breed Scout.  Now that he was in a house of his own he had the room to have more then one dog. 

He invited Heart Happiness over.  They had lived in the same dorm at college.  They had only been friends with no chemistry.  He enjoyed her company though.  She also was having problems at home.  Her step dad was driving her nuts and her half brother’s wife refused to let him move in with them.  Heart was happy in her marriage despite her constant involvement with Justin Kim.  Mel told her about his problems with Justin’s younger sister, Claire and about how Justin had been harassing Lizzy.

“Bobbie told me about his date with your sister and Justin’s behavior,” Heart sighed.

“Sometimes times those Kim’s just make you want to get even with them.”  Mel laughed.

“What did you have in mind?” Heart asked.

Sometime in the night Mel woke to see Heart quickly dress and slip from his room.  He knew he was acting just like a romance sim and started wondering if his new direction in life was something he really wanted.  He sighed, rolled over and went back to sleep.

It was beautiful. Just got back today! The wedding of my friend in Italy was everything you can imagine! Good food, good weather, good vibes, good scenery and good people!!! This is me... 35 degrees centigrade and counting.... hahahahaha

Meshing, meshing, meshing...

Well, once I get home I´ll be meshing the kitchen! I think it´s seven meshes left! And after that, I´m planning to make a buildset! I made three patterns for it now! There will be some kind of windows in two varations and maybe a door and a stair! That´s all for now! See ya!

My Walls and Flooring - Please Read

Hi Peeps

I have been informed by a member of TSR that their game crashes when they have uploaded my walls.

If you have the Base Game and Open For Business you should be fine with them once you have uploaded them.

Please let me know if anyone else experiences these problems. I will ensure the Open for Business is selected. As i have not had any other problem reports i presumed all was fine.
