Mr Launcher is driving me mad
I'm arguing with Mr Busybody Launcher once again. As I found some updates here at TSR and as I found there are downloaded items I really never use I decided to uninstall some cc via Mr Launcher. It's not really necessary to tell you that he refused to cope. No, he can't open the game is the only thing I hear ... So I decided to reinstall all my wonderful lovely custom content. Yesterday and today I did nothing else than going through all my downloads. Thanks to the great Sims Resource I can do that rather easy by going through my downloads history site by site. I try to create somethink like a "all downloads" folder so in future it will be easier to reinstall if Mr Launcher refuses to deinstall again. Anybody another good idea? Then don't hesitate and let me know! But now I'm going to bed. After that long and cold winter and that spring that didn't deserve to be called spring now we have a hot summer. Right now it's 36°C and my legs feel like lying on a bbq ... Mr PC isn't any help either - his brain (yes, he is male!) is confused: he thinks he has to work like a radiator ... Oh, I would love to be in Sunset Valley in that wonderful Bounty and go and have a nice swimming in the sea ... Hugs for all of you!

But the uploader doesn't work. It's giving me errors.

I love writing. I love sims. Who'd have thought there would be a way to combine the two?
I wrote the first chapter of my first story on here - Shadows - about a girl on the streets who has lost everything and won't let anyone close to her in case she gets hurt again. I wrote it in a word document since I've heard that TSR doesn't always accept stories straight away (I didn't know how true that was!) so I could just copy and paste the text.
I did just that, and everything seemed to be going well. The only problem was that the screenshots were a bit disappointing. The in-game graphics on my computer are great, but the screenies just...weren't. (If anyone knows any way to correct this, please tell me!)
So I clicked submit. Error. Redid it. Error. Redid it again. Surprise, surprise, error. Tried a few more times. Got a few more errors. So I split the chapter into two chapters with 9 pictures each, in case that was the problem. Got a few more errors. Then when I was about to give up, I managed to submit both of them!
This being my first story, I don't know how long it will take for it to be published (if anyone can give me an estimate on this, your help would be appreciated!) so fingers crossed. You never know, the screenies might turn out okay.

Heat everywhere causing things to melt both here and there
My graphics card is running too hot when I try to play The Sims. Cleaning out the fans and adding new cooling paste didn't help at all. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve but they will have to wait until the weather changes. For now I am gathering ideas in my sketchbook :-).
We have had temperatures rising well over 30 degrees C for several days and yesterday a few severe thunderstorms hit Sweden. More is to come today but the million dollar question is where they will hit and I feel stressed up having an extreme thunder phobia. The weather pattern for the rest of the week doesn't look too good with sunshine and heat one day and thunderstorms the next.
It's enough to wave a finger to start sweating so I am going to do the only thing I can do until the weather changes. Find a cool spot in the shadows preferably with a soft breeze coming in from the sea, make sure that there is something nice to drink close at hand and relax.

Recently I reinstalled my game to install mansion and garden stuff but my sister took away dvd with other packs,so currently I'm having only glitchy bace game...
BUT I'm going to submit TF fashion set....9 or 10?lol right now
and when(in few days approximately) I'll get my packs back I'll submit:
-Kitty Furni Set(you can see preview of it in previous post "meshing spree?")
-Japanese-inspired objects set (still didnt created title,but I think I'll name it sakura)
oh and also I'm making alot of statues now,my first 3 ones had sooo reduced polycount that they werent so fab,but right now I'm going to make better ones and submit them ;)

Legacy Running!
And running and running! Yay! I'm very excited. I'm also getting a little ahead of myself - I'm way ahead of the story in the game, while I only have one submitted story chapter so far! But this is so much fun =). The characters are coming to life for me and I'm already starting to get attached! I was going to make a Simself and a family based on the NCIS crew (one of my all-time favorite TV shows and current obsession next to playing TS3 lol), but I've been so caught up with my legacy I don't even feel like doing anything else in the game =P.
I'm looking forward to putting out more chapters for the Reid Legacy!!

I have now installed Sims 3 on my new computer and it seems to work like a charm, so now I can get building again. Check back soon and see ;).

Manly Man Lot
Ha! My title makes me giggle. I know I've been MIA for a bit, but work stress has pushed me back to playing Dragon Age. Ah, there's nothing like persistent gore to calm a gal's nerves. I know, kinda sick. Anyway, I guess I got the bloodshed out of my system because this weekend I finished another lot for all you devoted simmers out there.
My title, Manly Man Lot, kind of explains the decor of my next lot. It's a Craftsman style, which isn't my norm, and I realized about halfway through the decorating that I was sticking to a somewhat earthy, bold, masculine color scheme and decor. Minimal knick knacky stuff, warm colors, leather and wood. The exterior is rather rustic as well. What can I say, I had a bachelor that needed a decent lot to start his life in and out came Teagan. That's what I called it.
I hope to upload the lot and photos tonight after work. Blasted job! Speaking of which, my lunch hour is almost over so I gotta go. Just wanted to give a quick update so you didn't think I died.
How toddlers clothes went
Most of them were amazing. Some were very creative. One thing i would advise if this: DO NOT MAKE A HALTER DRESS OR TOP FOR TODDLERS. Why? Its not age appropriate. Have you ever seen a real toddler dressed like that? No. Even though the ones i saw were amazing and unique, they still arent really appropriate. I also saw very cute outfits, ones that you would see in a real store. If i commented or sent a message, be lucky.
The Ultra Modern Family Home
To be honest most of my sims lots do seem to be more traditional or even historic homes but with this one I decided I wanted to do something different and so present to you my ultra-modern family home:
In this home I focussed on two principles - light and space. As you can see there are many floor to ceiling windows around most of the house to let in natural light and at night there is plenty of artificial lighting. The ground floor is open plan incorporating kitchen, dining and living areas in a flexible arrangement.
I am also really proud of the pool area out back and its magnificent landscaping:

My name is Mandy (MandySA3) and I love the Sims! In particular I love building sims houses and creating custom content and since I will be uploading content to TSR now (which will hopefully be approved for everyone to share), I have decided to create this blog to share some of my creations with you.

A Twilight World - Port La Forks - Now Available
Port La Forks is a small town (or three) nestled amongst vivid, green
forests. The generally overcast climate is great for those who react
adversely to too much sun and the wide open forested areas teeming with
wild life are great for hunting (just don't hunt the wolves). There
are three distinct cultural areas: the local reservation, with its
beaches and fishing spots are very popular; the main township and the
quaint, though not quite angelic, port area filled with charming shops
and restaurants.
While the geography of this world is based on the terrain of
Washington State and the layout of the town (name and location of roads,
buildings, etc) is based on the real Forks, Washington - this is, in
fact, an imaginary version.
NOTE: Port La Forks includes customizations to the "weather" to
make the town overcast and cloudy more often than not -- you won't find
that many sunny days in this world.

The Naturos Family
Not much is known about the generally reclusive Naturos family, not even the correct pronunciation of their family name. What is known is that they are of Greek ancestry, they are all brothers and sisters (4 of each) with the same parents, and that they all have some strange, unusual talents that defy rational explanation. Then again, since Old Town is connected to Magic Town, the citizens are used to not having rational explanations for a lot of things.
Nychtos Naturos, the oldest brother and the oldest child, has an unusual fondness for black. With black hair and predominantly black clothing, it's easy to think him somber and serious. However, despite his color preferences, he has been making it big as a Rock Star...it seems the babes (and some buds) dig his pseudo-Goth civilian persona, even if his music doesn't quite match the image.
Lumina Naturos is the oldest sister and the second oldest child. Unlike her brother, she enjoys the light and dresses in the colors of the sunrise (or sunset). With her golden hair, it's hard to believe that she and Nychtos are related at all. However, what they do share is a notable physical beauty, which stood her well as she pursued a career in fashion. She retired from active modeling to become a Fashion Columnist, though she occasionally returns to life in front of the cameras as favors for dear friends in the industry.
Pyros and Hydros Naturos, the second and third boys, are twins. However, they are markedly different in personalities and preferences. Pyros is really big on physical fitness and has a fiery personality that really ignites passions in others. Hydros, by comparison, though no slouch physically, has a more relaxed, go-with-the-flow personality that more or less goes along passively with what others say. However, Pyros knows better than to go directly against Hydros in any way, because while Hydros generally yields to others, if he feels strongly enough about something, his will won't bend and he will wash over and carry away anything in his path. With their differing personalities, Pyros uses his charisma best in the boardroom as a CEO, while Hydros can be counted on to carry floundering stage shows to success--supporting weaker, less experienced performers as needed--as a Broadway Star.
Actually, originally Pyros used his charisma for stirring up audiences as a Rock Star while Nychtos' dark preferences allowed him to bully weaker personalities in the board room as a CEO. However, both felt unfulfilled, and because their talents and skills were complimentary (Nychtos had always followed Music as a hobby, and Pyros had a business degree and did his own self-marketing to great success), they wound up switching professions with each other. It didn't take long for both to find new success, with Pyros carrying Nychtos' company to new heights and Nychtos' career eclipsing Pyros' in no time at all.
Unlike her brothers, Eartha Naturos is a more down-to-earth person. Not for the second sister the path to fame and fortune. Eartha instead chose to pursue education as a career, believing she could do a better job helping others find glory than she could finding it for herself. Still, she's done all right. As a College Dean, she does occasionally figure into news stories and politics, but she does her best to avoid the publicity, feeling that it distracts and detracts from the goals of education. There are some who might say she lets others (including her family) walk all over her, but that's because they've never come up against her directly: she can be as immovable as a mountain if she feels strongly enough about something.
Windia Naturos, the third sister, doesn't seek fame and fortune either, but that's more because she doesn't really have the focus and determination to see things through. Except for her career, she flits from one thing to the next, jumping from one fad to another, her opinions always shifting depending which way the figurative wind is blowing. However, if she does ever settle onto one thing--such as her career--it's a risk to go up against her: once she sets her mind on something, she will bowl through anything in her path to achieve it. Thus, her path to becoming and Astronaut was filled with angry and disgruntled fellow recruits who couldn't make the cut, many of whom had actually helped her along her way but who had been unable to follow her as she assimilated everything they had to teach and surpassed them all.
Lectros Naturos, the youngest brother, has a lot of things going for him. Besides sharing in the family's good looks, he also has a sharp mind, a quick wit, and devastating sense of humor, and an utterly inappropriately uncanny timing for inserting quips and puns, striking suddenly and without warning to change the mood of the room, should it ever be needed. All his friends in school like him, and it's not unusual for him to be surrounded by a group of boys and girls, planning for outrageous (but never dangerous) pranks to amuse and entertain even the strictest, sternest, stodgiest teachers in school.
Frigia Naturos, the youngest sister and the youngest child, often watches her older brother's antics with disdain. Though she shares in her family's beauty, her cool personality either makes her seem more mature or less mature than she actually is. She has her friends, of course, and her own gang of hangers-on in school, but while she knows she is far less popular than Lectros, she also has a clear career path in mind for herself: Journalist. She sees herself as being the cool, impartial investigative reporter able to present the facts objectively, without the political commentary or clever plays on words that so many reporters and news anchors seem to employ.
From the moment of their arrival in Old Town, the Naturos family has been the subject of a great deal of gossip. Rumors have been flying that pedestrians walking by in the street have caught glimpses of a little man in a blue shirt and a tall red cap has been puttering around in the family garden, but on subsequent visits, only an immobile stationary garden gnome could be seen. It's also been reported that someone saw one of the Naturos sisters spinning some sort of thread on a spinning wheel--a thread the gleamed and shimmered in the light. One night-time stroller recalls seeing one of the Naturos brothers picking toadstools out of the lawn and sticking them in his pocket instead of throwing them into the trash. And among other things, the Naturos brothers and sisters have made names for themselves as excellent duelists and performers in Magic Town. Other citizens believe it's all part of the show, and their skill as performers in the sideshows isn't unlikely since so many of them are or were in performance-related industries...but people still wonder what the Naturos family is all about.
For a brief time, Nychtos considered moving the family into Magic Town, because they already spent so much time in Magic Town anyway. However, after seeing the available properties, he felt that his brothers and sisters--especially Lumina, Eartha, and Lectros--would be unahppy there. He had no problem with the darkness that was so prevalent in Magic Town, but his family's interests came first...always. So, he's content to being the occasional visitor instead of the long-term resident. It bodes well to make life a little harder...but it would be nothing compared to how difficult life would be if his family was unhappy and made their feelings known.
***Update 27 August 2010***
Deciding to take a chance, Hydros left the Broadway stage for Studio Town. After some ups and downs--though really, more ups than downs--he came out on top and joined the elite as a Superstar. Despite some initial competition with Ron Nocturne, who was wary of any up-and-comers, the two collaborated on a few projects and became good friends. However, because their careers are always moving in different directions, since achieiving Superstar Status Hydros has been unable to work with Ron. They maintain their friendship with occasional chats in Studio Town and infrequent visits with each other at home. On the really rare instances when neither is working or when they both have early calls for film shoots, they get together in Downtown for some...er...down time.

I get asked a lot where I find stuff so, I'm gonna give a list of some places to find really great custom content. A few of the artists are familiar to us and a few are new. I'd like to also point out that where ever you download objects from besure to have antivirus protection. I've not had any problems so far but there is always that chance. A lot of the sites I visit are spanish, german, swedish, japanese ect. so, its not always easy to understand and most of them you have to sign up for. Babelfish comes in handy, or if you are familiar with registration sites its easy to figure out what you are to do. I am not responsible for the sites or their content. I am only suggesting them cuz I know you are sure to find some really cool stuff.

Blogspots will have sites like http://www.sims3marktplatz.net , http://www.blackypanther.de, http://thesimsupply.com , http://awesims.sixty-ten.net and many many many more.
Its a big world out there and lots of stuff to enjoy. Please be curtious with the stuff you download and don't use them as your own or modify them for uploading without the consent of the artist that created them in the first place. You are sure to find anything you can dream of, and if you can't a few artists will take requests. Remember to bookmark your favorite sites and check them often cuz they are always updating.

I know there is a new layout in the submission area, but i should be doing it as i am use to what i can see. I have written to the submission staff, and now i am waiting for answers.
I dont think i want to be building things as long as i can not oploade it, so i will use my time on other games for now. I hope i dont have to wait to long for the answer, cuse i like to submit my houses :)
I still dont have any expansion pack or stuff pack yet, but i have trying to save some money for it. I hope our economi gets better in time in my country. And there is not many more who has birthday this year, including me LOL xD I had mine two days ago, 9 july toghether with my brother. We are the twins with four years different xD

Submission Issues
Just a quick note to let everyone know, I am still around but just unable to submit anything at the moment due to issues with the submissions system - don't think it's anything I'm doing wrong since I know a few other people are having the same problem. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon and I can get some more of my paintings uploaded in the near future.
Meanwhile, I guess I'll just have to entertain myself with CAW now that's finally working!! Yay!! :D

With Goth for a last name Bell knew the town was watching every move she made, and judgeing it. Sure she aspired to be popular but for her work as a seriouse journalist, not because of who her family was. Being named after a grandmother who had mysteriously disappeared, she felt the eyes of pleasantville apon her. Even more then her sisters Saturday and Sunday. Known affectionitly as the weekend twins, they seemed to have a more charmed life. Bell wondered if perhaps she should have moved Downtown like the twins had, instead of buying her childhood home.
Marring one of the professors from Sim State only drew more gossip. His also loving the lime light of popularity made sims wonder if he only married her because she was a Goth. He even took her last name. Only Bell knew the truth, that it was she who persued him. She purposed to him in the Quad at Sim State durring a wonderful dream date full of pillow fights and grilled hot dogs. She had even arranged the surprise Wedding in the back yard.
She had bought her child her home because of the loveing magic her parents, Cassandra Goth and Bengemin (Long) Goth had shared there. That was before the glich and the poverty that followed, resulting in the family moving back to "the Big House" with Mortimore's second wife Bandi (Broke) and their daughter, Brie Goth.
Back in her childhood home with her perfect husband and beautiful son Gunny, Bell felt her life was perfect. After remodling the house in the summer to maximize the small space but maintian it's outer size, fall was the time to focus on relationships and carrer's. Pro. Eric spent his evenings helping Gunny with his home work between tiding up the house to up his cleaning. Bell worked on her charisma. Every thing was going great. Pro. Eric got two promotions and Bell got one.
It was durring a small get together with some friends and family that she felt the pull of her family. Cassandra's life asperation of having 6 grandchildren was the burden all her daughter's felt the pressure to fill. Saturday and her husband, Dude Lames had been trying desperatly for their second child. Sunday and Gilly Broke had twins.
"two grandkids from each of you is all I want," Cassandra presauded, "I had three kids, so you would each only have to have two."
Bell wasn't against the idea of another child, if it happened she would be happy but she was just as content with only having her precious son.

MESHING SPREE?
This morning I've submitted my first meshes I was talking about in previous post (and fixed shadows of course..plus added 1 more object XD)..But...I've made 5 more meshes in 2 hours!?

So I guess you undestand why I may delay tf fashion series-I've got everything except mansion and garden on father's comp but I wont be able to use it for a while...and then I'll go on vacation...After few days after arrival my last year of school will start and I'll be pretty busy with studies...
I See, and I wish
Oh, don't I sound like I just want everything? Just read the subject.. But that is actually aimed specifically at creating custom content and editing pics. I look at these creations and I just think 'shit! I will never be able to do that'. I won't. I don't understand how and I don't understand tutorials. Maybe I should search again to find a simple one, but then maybe I should do a lot of things. All I know is there are some hella talented people out there and it is awesome for those who aren't so good.

ok, if you have seen my freaky screens, you will know that i have an array of fish, and equatic life on my screens. for the people who think its not in sims, well, it is! anyways.....some lucky screens, thats all. i am now focusing on screens, storys, and not creationg..... i want to earn KUDOS so i can use em on stuff, like a day of dowloads.... so, well, stuff that happenes, we have to roll with the bowl... lol, no idea wat it means.... anyways, :) happy simming :)
Sydney Rosland ; cold feet or career focused?

Fall seemed to go by quick for Sydney. Perhaps it was because trying to make up from missed sleep was the driving need. It seemed to Sydney that the ghosts of her deceased parents didn't think she should get a good nights sleep.
She knew her fieance Stanley Caliento had graduated from Sim State and was back at home with his mom waiting for her, she just wasn't ready to move agian. she'd only been back from Sim State for one season herself. Her father Cyd had died before she could get back and not long after her return her mother, Brandi, died.
Brandon, Sydney's younger brother was still in college and due to graduate at the end of fall. Surely her wedding could wait for his reutrn. She didn't like the idea of his returning home to a house empty of life with only the ghosts of their parents to greet him.
She used her time alone to focus on her career asperation in the adventure field. Her being driven by a thirst for knowledge made studing relaxing. despite showing up for work on such little sleep she still got a promotion to Dread Pirate.

Story Writing
Hm. Well I've said to some that I had I part 3 of my story, Broken, written.
Which I did! But I went and re-read it and I didn't like it much.
So I re-wrote it in the past couple of days and I've taken some screenies. :D

And I'm unsure how to end it really. Ah, oh well.
I guess you'll see it soon yes? But I do want to finish this story.
