Custom Stencil Sets

I have decided that I'll be focusing on making custom stenciled clothes for a while.  The possibilities are literally endless, and I've been really enjoying the work I've been doing so far.

If anyone has any requests for stencil work*, please let me know.  I'll be glad to queue it up and get to work.

*Note- I don't do new meshes, only stencils for existing meshes.  I'm still not confident in my meshing abilities to take that next step.  Hopefully, though. . . Someday.

Old Fashioned Community lots

Hello Everyone! I'm building a series of old fashioned community lots and someone suggested I blog about them so I can share my ideas and get input from others before I publish them. They are probably going to be more Victorian in style, but will work for many different historical periods including Georgian, Regency, and Edwardian. Sims will be able to visit the lots and I will be using the custom rabbit hole rugs made by cazarupt so the buildings will have all the same options as the EA community buildings. I'm building the lots on the little island in Riverview, so they will be pretty small. My first lot is a book store and lady’s shop. The lady’s shop is just for fun since sims can’t actually buy things there. I put a dance studio on the top floor so sims can go there and dance. LOL I'm hoping there will be more options for community lots when Ambitions comes out. We'll see! The bookstore has a lot of little areas for reading and I put an art studio on the top floor. The second lot will be for the business and journalism careers. Sims can still visit the lot, but it will be full of desks basically! I posted a couple of screen shots. Let me know what you think! New Sets from The Sims 3 store out today.

New set available for the Sims3. Looks as there will be two different sets. One for the US and one for the UK. Found this while at SnootySims and Simsprograms. The UK set was free and the US one is not up for download yet. The sets are called "The Sims 3 Renault/Toyota Electric Vehicle Pack and EV/Eco Set" I was able to download the UK set when I logged into my account although I live in the US.  The UK link is http://gb.store.thesims3.com/renault.html.

EA/Dr Pepper Points

Just got my first Points code for the EA/Dr. Pepper give-a-way. I downloaded the Lips of Love Seat. Looks like I have 9 more items to download to get the complete set. Now, I just need 9 more codes....

Writer's Block Sucks!

Trying to finish off the very last chapter of 'Escape from Paradise' but have hit a bit of a block with it. I remember reading somewhere that 'writer's block doesn't exist, it's merely the inability to make decisions' but I tell you there are no decisions that can be made, hence why I've gotten stuck. So if anyone has ANY ideas at all for that story I BEG you to let me know, I really have no idea where to go with it.

As for my other story 'Good Vs. Evil' I know exactly where it's going thanks to a weird dream I had about it. It's going to be EXTRA long, and i'm thinking about making adding more to the story after I've finished it. Just like short stories with Dan and Henry, you know the bad guy plots something the good guy foils the plans and the world is saved, short stories like that. Let me know what you think.

I've also got my Tomb Raider story that I should really publish soon. The whole first 4 chapters are sitting on tsr, waiting to be submitted. I just want to finish and publish my current stories before I add more.

Oh i'm also thinking of writing up a legacy. I've been playing a legacy family at the moment, with Dastan as my main and favourite character. He's awsum! It's so fun when you play with just one sim for a while, you grow quite attached to them. Although I do find that it's not always a good thing. Because I start to think oh, he's getting old, he's been working on his career for a while now I think it's time he settled down and had a family. Then I try to find him a wife, and he meets some pretty girls, but once he starts dating them and the relationship gets high enough for him to propose I find the girl starting to get annoying, so he breaks up with her. He's gone through a lot of girlfriends. He had a baby with one of them, because of a hack I installed and I didn't realise she was pregnant. I let her have the baby though, because well, there wasn't really much of a choice. After the baby she became less annoying but I didn't want her to marry Dastan, and I don't think he wanted to marry her. They didn't have very high chemistry and whenever he kissed her or hugged her, he would screw up his face. Does that happen to anybody else?? I did find Dastan a wife however, I uploaded a snapshot of her. But it was really cute, he really liked her and she wasn't annoying. He kept making goo goo eyes at her, and he kept doing that swoon thing with a thought bubble of her above his head. He didn't do that with any of his previous girlfriends. Oh yeah, I've totally gone off track. I think I'll make it into a tsr story, although I've kind of said all the main plot elements. Nonetheless I think I will eventually. After all these other stories are finished.

I think I've got far too many stories ideas, I've got the two i'm actually writing at the moment (Escape from Paradise and Good Vs. Evil) I've got the story that's already written I just have to take snapshots for (Tomb Raider) and there's the legacy story I want to write about Dastan. Also an alien military conspiracy style story that I've started to write. Not to mention a post-apocolyptic story I'm thinking about starting and another about a guy on a day a disaster takes place and everytime the disaster happens the day restarts itself, so at the start of the day he knows what's going to happen and he keeps trying to save the world but every time it ends with it's destruction and he goes back to the start of that day again and tries to convice people what's going to happen but nobody will listen to him. I got the idea from COD, because I was playing it and I got ambushed and I had to get to the landing zone, but no matter what way I tried to head I kept dying then I would get respawned back at the start. So tell me what you think about my restarting day disarster idea, if it sounds worth making.

$16,500 simoleans and starter houses....

Why oh why did EA have the bright idea to make it even harder to start out in Sims 3?? Since when did inflation go down?? (ok, forget the global financial crisis... when else... lol).

I've been hating EA starter lots since I got the sims3 I mean just because my simmies are poor, doesn't mean they have to live in a place style left behind right?.... Wrong!... It seems we now only have 16,500 measly little simoleans to buy our first house with and it's driving me mad!... Try building anything worth living in for 16,500, I mean first of all, unless you want to live in that horrible new estate up the hill in Sunset Valley, a block of land is going to set you back about $2,700... forget foundations... I know they say they're only worth 4 dollars a square but... I've been keeping a close watch on the simoleans and the black market in my game is setting me back $44 a square!!... WTH?? Even the cheapest kitchen with no overhead cupboards, diswasher or trash compactor, island will set you back about $1600. Floorcoverings and paint have had a price hike with the cheapest being $4 a square instead of the good old sims 2 day's when a decent carpet would only set you back $1! The most basic of human rights in any civilised society.. a toilet!... will cost you a cool $270. Want a shower?... Well, be prepared to ante up $425 smack-a-roos! Ridiculous!

I guess my plan to revamp starter housing has failed miserably.... but I'll keep trying... I guess it's back to the drawing board for me! :)

Back Alley Art Preview

Working on some graffiti wall art now. This one is three tiles wide but only uses one. I did this so that if you want to put something over it, like a wall light or other pictures, you can.

I knew my collection of MCR gig posters would come in handy one day *lol* And because I can never work on just one thing at a time, I am also working on a Multiple Ring set. These still need a lot of adjustments still, multipliers, etc.

I have also been looking at the WA necklace and have figured out how that works. There's one little bug in the workshop that needs fixing, but once that's done I will work on converting the necklaces I have already released so that they can be worn by every body type *yay*

I'm back!

Okay, just wanted everyone to know I'm back.  The last part of Half empty or half full is up, and I'll soon be starting stowaway soulpeace and beta testing.

I kept reading the post over at the forums and looking at everyone's great flips and finally decided that I had to enter.... late... lol... This weekend was a mad rush to complete all the required elements and Yay.. I got it in on time... just... lol

I just want to thank everyone for all their support. I am working on fixing old items and replacing some as well. This is a learning process. LOL But I am getting there. It is so much fun to make something and then see it appreciated. Hope everyone is having a great time in this warmer spring time weather.

It was a very beautiful Sunday. Me, my boyfriend and our son spent it in the woods. Junior running around all the time so I'm out of power. I planned to start a new project but the bed attracts me like a magnet. Sweet dreams

Been away for some days

Hihi! Just came home from a little trip over the weekend! Sorry for not being in so much but I didn´t have anytime to visit and there where no Internet connection at all! And now I can tell you I´m working a new mesh set! This time it will be a modern kitchen! I´ve made two meshes (just 3D models, they haven´t been mapped yet) of a total of 10-15 new meshes... Have a delightful day!

I appear to have had a memory lapse in submitting lots and also i am trying to get my head round submitting wall and floor sets to TSR.

As I am sure you can see - I've been very busy recently! A new tutorial is now available on Boat Building for those of you who have ever wanted to learn. I've made another stylish mesh set - this time a dining set, plus 2 more lots are available: The Marlin and Woodpecker Residence. More to come soon, although I'm not quite sure what.

Two New Sets of Paintings...

....both Black and White...

I know, I know...haven't I had enough yet :-D Not quite...just when I think that I don't want to make any more, I just get ants in my pants and have to make some more...and I'm determined to finish this series...I might do another set in a bit, Sunset Valley, but really I've been doing this since about 9:00am this morning, about 4 and half hours and my legs are going to sleep...probably because I'm sitting on my chair crosslegged..can't be good for my circulation :-D most comfortable position for me though(up until now)

It was raining this morning (well, about time too ;-))(was begining to think that Summer had come early!), but now the Sun actually has come out!! Whoa! So maybe it's a bit warm outside (who knows!)....

I'm listening to my music again..loud, as usual..headphones on..in my own little sim world..

Hope everyone is having a great weekend..and it's as sunny as can be for you!! If not, in the sims where the sun shines all day :-D

Oh wow, how could I have missed this? I'm over 30 000 downloads and I now have 54 people boomarked me. That's amazing!

I'm gonna try and create some stuff this week and upload now that I have gotten injections by my doctor into my muscles and got more pain medication. I've decided not to talk about this kind of stuff on TSR because I talk about my physical problems in my Swedish blog enough so that's everything I'm going to say but the important thing is that I'm going to create as much as possible before Thursday because I'm going to Finland to meet up with my boyfriend who is doing his military service there. I will be back home on Tuesday and most likely create more things for The Sims 3.

Since my reinstallation of The Sims 3 it have not crashed yet but I have only played twice and with little CC installed. I have decided not to install any objects yet to see if that's what making my game crash. It sucks because I don't think it's fun to play with only EA objects. They are ugly and uninspiring.

Finally up for grabs now on my profile, is as promised in my earlier blogs - Twilight Castle. This is a very large lot. The castle has ample bedrooms, a great hall, kitchen, Library, cellar, dungeons, gardens and it's own church with a secret passage. It is full with loads of new patterns that I have created for this theme. The patterns will be available, to download seperately in a few days :D

I also have my new Sims ready for download today too. Lady Jane grey.

Stayed tuned for more medieval / Tudor themes to come.

I am currently building 2 more smaller Castles for people who would prefer a smaller lot. These will not feature FA items, so they will be available to everyone.

In the pipeline, I also have Roman themes. I have just finished building a Collosseum. I have called it Collosimium. Lol! I have a Roman park on the go too.

Soon I will also be releasing my Splash mania - waterpark. Plus plenty more patterns too.

Traditional Revival

Sooo... I've decided to depart from my shingle obsession for a moment and have created a new house called Traditional Revival. It's kind of a mish-mash of a few english styles (most notably tudor) to create a more substantial old money home for your rich simmies. I had quite a few build 'em up, tear 'em down moments with this one until I settled on the current design.. I'm still not that happy with the external colour combination... it's a bit bland... :s ... but you guys can recolour untill your design tool gives up!.. Check it out in my Upcoming items.... Out April 25th! Hope you enjoy. :D

The Scania Door Set is uploaded

I have finally submitted Scania Build Set Part 2 and I am now waiting for approval and publish date. It took longer than expected but I am quite pleased with this set. I am especially happy to bring solid double doors into the game, an item that I have been missing.

My next project is to attempt creating an entry for the Flip this EA House competition. I am not a builder but it looks like a fun challenge.

I am also planning the next set but it's still to early to reveal what it will be because I will probably change my mind a few times until I have made the final decision.

500,000$

One of my Sims now has a Wish for 500,000$ net worth for the family. Dang! I made Ambrosia for all 4 members of the family, so they are back to the beginning of their lifestages (not sure if I said that in a previous blog post). I am trying to save up some money for a vehicle for their house now - but I think I'll have one of the characters finish the Pangu's Axe quest tonight. Oh - I did buy out the grocery store and I took out all of the non-perfect quality produce from the fridge! Woot! Hopefully I can keep it stocked with perfect quality produce from now on. Just need to get all 4 members of the household working on the garden. It's a dang big one for one (or even two) people to keep up with.

April 26th, Vanity Fair Part V

Vanity Fair Part V, a Sims 3 set, is a collection of decorative pieces and furnishings for the Victorian and English Regency home. The set includes an armoire, room screen, 3-tile sideboard with china, end table with doily, a teacup, and several oil paintings in an ornate gilt frame! A total of 16 new objects! Vanity Fair Part V is scheduled for release on April 26, 2010.

My newest story is uploaded and called The St. Periece Legacy. I hope you enjoy it. I am thinking of creating my Adventures of Bowman over again in the The sims 3 game.

I just can't believe it!  Over 3000 downloads in less than a month ... that means a lot to me.  I really think Simmers like my houses.  Warm thanks also to the subscribers who have downloaded my houses.  Can't wait till I start downloading yours too :o)  All your response to my creations have really encouraged me greatly to just keep sending them in!
