Posting Blog....
Still have no clue how I actually *publish* these blog entries. I'm guessing TSR Staff reviews them on newer members. I am trying the Curtains contest on twitter for some free Sim Store curtains.
I playes Sims 3 last night - finally moved into a 170,000$ house! It is very, very nice! I'm working on making it even nicer, of course. 64 x 32 lot - ya, kinda odd shaped. The house was for a 30 x 30 lot, so I added in a large garden area, two large pools, and a large child play area in the remaining space - with fencing around the pools (don't want the kiddies to fall in, do we?
It's Been Hot and Sunny....
...so I've been building a sunny looking home...not quite finished yet, but it's got a covered patio type area where parties can be held...
It didn't look quite right where it was, so I moved it to recurve strand, and i think it fits a bit better...
So a bit more landscaping to do, and interior decorating...might even get it finished for tomorrow...but boy am I tired tonight...so I'm going to have to have a tiny bit of a nap ;-)

Romance Preview
Stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something "pretty", lol.
Whenever working on a new project, I always check it in-game at every stage. In the above image I had only roughly placed each part of the pendant where I though it would go. Having seen it in game I could see that I needed to make the thread between the heart and pearl wider and shorter, and that the heart could be just a little bigger and metal hook bit a little shorter.
Here's the mesh for those curious. Now I just need to work on the shading of the Multiplier. I will be making matching earrings and bracelet as well.
About Time....
I've been a member of TSR for almost two years. And for some weird reason I found myself working on my profile(maybe out of boredom). It just didn't seem complete without my own avatar so I gave that a try as well. I'm glad its finished. lol ! Although I don't expect many or anyone actually to look since I'm not a creator or anyone special it gave me something to do. Anyway, It may be awhile before I take the time do do anything else. Eventually I would like to try creating for TSR but we'll see......I have alot to learn before attempting that.
Small vacation
I am off to Sweden for the wekeend. We are going to visit my kids half brother and sister, something we have been looking forward to.
I know i have not been building some of my collections for a long time, but i am going to again when i get home. But some of them are going to be subscribers items, cuse i want to be able to use the items i have downloaded. But if i dont use them, i am going to make empty rooms to use as mudrooms. I am going to google houseplans as i have been out of ideas for good homes lately. So i am going to build some new styles, i like it when the houses looks different in the game.

Every year I create a set to celebrate my wedding anniversary. For our first (paper) anniversary I created a set of books: Love Stories. For our second (cotton) anniversary I created a set of cotton bathrobes: Cotton Club. This year it's our third anniversary, which is traditionally associated with giving gifts made from leather. After some thought, I hit upon the idea of a set of his & hers leather jackets. I've made two pairs, one in black and one in brown (shown below).
The female jacket requires University. The male jacket requires Open For Business. All jackets are available for adults and young adults and are top half only. The female jacket goes best with the H&M low rise jeans (shown in the preview pictures) - with other bottom halves the lower part of the jacket gets cut off to a varying degree, although it still looks OK.
System error
Uhhhh I lost all of my projects. Fortunately I quickly gave this problem the council. A new project is in upload section ;) So be patient. Kiss
Forced to reinstall The Sims 3
Okey so at midnight I had to do what I've been avoiding to do. Reinstall The Sims 3.
I got Error 16 for the first time. I started to try and fix it by readin about it in the Readme file like the game told me to do only to find out that error 16 doesn't exist in the readme file.
After that I hit the forums. I found two different solutions.
Choose "Save as" instead of "Save". Still got error 16 with a bad save as a result. So that didn't work.
Then I found an answer from EA with a solution. It was something about replacing the bad files with the legacy save, the only problem was that I didn't have any legacy files in my saves folder. Just the ones that EA said was corrupted. The thing I got really really pissed off about was that EA said in their answer that if you install patchxxx the problem will be fixed. For me, that was bullshit as that patch has been installed like forever but I still got error 16.
As I understood Error 16 messages is a problem that came with WA which I think is weird because I've had WA since the release day and haven't had any problems with any error messages until now. I feel like it should've appeard earlier or something.
Because I couldn't find any more solutions to my problems with the saving I removed all of The Sims 3 and then installed it again. When it was finished it was one o'clock in the morning so I didn't get the chance to try it out. But I will do now.
I don't even want to think about all the CC I lost. I always delete everything from the downloads folder after installing it so now I couldn't find it to back it up.
Hope no one else had the same issues as me last night.

The Charming Family
Claire Charming and her dog, Luna, lived a peaceful life in Old Town. Sadly, she became lonely when all the friends she made started drifting away as they got married and started new jobs. Though she had never intended to get married herself, seeing how happy her friends were encouraged her to go out and meet new people. As a Medical Technician, she met very few people, but now she put out the effort to make friends outside of her profession. She wasn't leaving the profession, by any means: her goal was to become the Chief of Hospital Staff at Old Town Memorial Hospital. Barring that--and all her colleagues told her it was a thankless job--she would settle for becoming a Medical Researcher instead.
Then she met Justin Charmer who was exactly what he was...a charmer. It took only a few weeks for her to fall madly in love with him, and vice versa. Shortly thereafter, they married and he moved in with her and Luna. Luna was, for her part, not quite sure what to make of Justin, but he charmed her much the way he charmed Claire, and now they get along famously. Justin, though, was finding it difficult to get work. He had long held a desire to make a difference in the world and felt that politics was the way to go. Unfortunately, there being no elections coming up, it was hard to get a job as a Campaign Worker. However, when a fellow Old Town resident decided to step down from her seat as a Senator, it opened the door for Justin to begin working in politics, albeit working on someone else's campaign.
Around this time Claire's younger brother, Mark, returned from college and needed a place to crash until he figured out where to go and what to do. Mark, who loves his older sister dearly, was very suspicious of Justin--his last name said it all--and put the poor fellow through all sorts of tests to make sure that Justin wasn't playing around with his sister's affections. Finally satisfied that Justin was sincere, Mark let him off the hook and began focusing on his career: Music. Gifted with a lot of creativity and charisma, he quickly rose to become a Rock Star. The late hours not withstanding, he's happy with his life right now. To celebrate, and because Luna was becoming more and more miserable since she no longer had Claire to herself, Mark went into Old Town and came back with a lively, expressive dog whom he named Sol (Luna being moon, Sol being sun, it made sense to him). Now Sol and Luna entertain each other and play with each other, keeping themselves happy and socialized even when their humans aren't free to play with them.
Needing a place to stay, Justin's younger sister Lori dropped in for a visit...and ended up falling deeply in love with Mark, who reciprocated. Now it was Claire's turn to be suspicious. However, with Justin running interference, it didn't take long for Mark and Lori to get married. Lori, who was possessed of immense creativity, almost excessive charisma, and a body to die for, entered into the Fashion industry with every intention of becoming a designer of the highest quality and status. She will, however, settle for talking about it all as a Fashion Columnist.
Part of Justin's running interference for his sister included getting Claire pregnant. Shortly after Mark and Lori's marriage, Claire and Justin welcomed their daughter Rebecca into the world. She was followed by Mark and Lori's daughter, Sherri. The two girls room together and have taken over the responsibility of bathing the two dogs.
With money now coming in more steadily, the Charming family hopes to improve their home and their lot, making it a little more impressive. Although she denies it, Claire really envies her friends whose homes are much more impressive--spell it "rich"--and luxurious. Justin, however, happy with the minor renovations that were needed to house their growing family, is unwilling to invest too much more in home improvements. While he won't object to some gardening and landscaping, he likes the coziness of their home. Mark and Lori, similarly satisfied, are siding against Claire, but they do want to get a hot tub, something for them to relax in after a long evening at work. They're willing to settle for a pool, though. The girls just want a little more fun things around the house--painting, music, checkers, computers, television, reading...they've done it to death and want more variety. Luna and Sol just want a bit of peace and quiet now and again...it's hard always jumping up to greet their humans when they've just settled themselves for a nap.

I started up my old computer (I'm using my new laptop for everything else now :D ) and somehow, I don't know when, my "Sims 3 Stuff" folder has disappeared. I don't know how though, that's what's annoying me. So I am just in the process of taking some screenshots for my Simples set (yup, I'm finnaly uploading it) after that I'll get the gtable online :D

Hi All,
Today I woke up at 8, had breakfast (which was a poptart and some orange juice) and then I had a shower, got changed and then I helped my big sister get ready for her annual 'spring sale' when she gives away her unwanted clothes to us. At 12 we had lunch and then at 12:45 we went to our tennis lesson at our school. Today, tomorrow and Wednesday my sisters and I will be having tennis lessons from 1:00 to 2:30. It was really fun and we played lots of games and we practised lots of things too (DUH!). Anyway, when I got home I tried to make CC hair - but it was incredibly hard and I didn't understand anything of the tutorial (Basic Hair Meshing - by Ulker) and then I got stuck at step 2 when I finally understood step one so please of you know a good website or tutorial that explains in detail with pictures how to create hair with the TSRW then please please please please please tell me!!

I suggested that TSR add "House Hubby" and "Disabled" to their "Jobs" part of the profile - and they did! It was kinda weird having "Housewife" on my profile, with me having "dangly bits" and all.... It's nice to see my suggestion put into action so quickly.
When the worst happens
It’s the worst thing ever, when you have been working on a sim’s family you have downloaded items you really like to complete the Sims and the home. Then the next thing you know something goes wrong with the computer and you have to uninstall, reformat, kick and cuss.
You lose everything you have done and worked on.
Now you have to start all over, create, make, download, etc…. the anguish!!
I had just started creating my own projects, gone. The tutorials I downloaded, meshes, you name it gone!!
UGH!
Lock down the computer from the kids from now on!
Windkeeper's Items
I want to use Windkeeper's windows and doors in my up and coming lots but i am unsure whether i am allowed or not.
It says do not re-distribute in the Profile. Does that mean i cannot use them in my lots that i upload to TSR?

So sick of the game problems in The Sims 3
This is getting really annoying. My game doesn't stop crashing. I'm pretty sure the new patch is causing it since the game worked fine before installing it. When I tried without CC it took about 1 ½ minute before it crashed to desktop.
The most annoying thing is when you have furnished your house for at least one hour (because The Sims 3 doesn't have a collections feature) while forgetting to save and then it just crashes and you have to start all over again.
If it wasn't for all the loading screens I would go back to The Sims 2.
Luckely this time I saved 15 minutes before it crashed so I've only lost a short amount of time today. Yesterday I forgot to save so two hours of furnishing and building just disappeared right in front of me. I gave up.
It's April already
How does it happen? How does time go by so quickly that before you know it four months has passed since your last blog entry? Things here have been carrying on much the same as usual. James had his second birthday and we celebrated with a trip to my brother's and visits to the seaside and to an aquarium.
Since then we've been to visit James' grandpapa and his aunt down in Devon which means a long car journey for us all. Fortunately James is a relatively happy traveller and is quite content in his car seat to look out of the window and watch the world go by.

I just want to explain why I haven't uploaded any lots for quite some time now. It's because my computer, or maybe the game itself, is crashing whenever i try to save a house, it also gives me "Error 12/13" from time to time.
So don't think i have stopped creating! I have alot of ideas in my head and a mansion that is almost complet, If I could just save those last rooms...

New home submission
I have just submitted another house. It is a remake of one of my big Sims 2 houses.....didn't realize I used to build such huge houses...lol. Did this one as a special request for munchoz32....she said Sims 3 just wasn't the same without it. So of course I had to try to redo it. Might have went a little overboard with the decorations, still experimenting with sims 3, so many options. Anyway it has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 2 stories, and a large unfinished basement for whatever you want to use it for. I built it on 15 Summerhill Court, up by the Landgraab's & Alto's...only lot I could find large enought for it. lol
Still playing my adventurer named after me....almost completed all the quests in all 3 vacations spots. Still thinking about building her a house in Egypt & France.
Starting my learning
Well, I have started on my quest to learn how to make my own creations for The Sims 3. I started by just playing - seeing where others have made mistakes - things that irritated me. Like one neighborhood where the creator forgot to put in a school. Or where someone put the mailbox in a position where the mailperson couldn't get to it. Small things like that.
Now I am reading tutorials on designing and building houses. I am going to try creating my first house to fit a rather large, but oddly shaped plot in the neighborhood I am playing in right now. It is 64 x 32 - plenty of room to make mistakes, but I'm not going to stress over it being perfect or anything. This is just a practice lot after all. If it works out, great! If not, I will have had fun working on it anyway.

I may be a little slow uploading properties to TSR. This is due to me wanting to use alot of items in them which i can't. So i am changing the lots all the time, drives me insane sometimes.
All the properties I am currently uploading (except 1) won't have stairs as i am still getting use to making lots and submitting them.
I have uploaded 2 properties and they should be available tomorrow i think.

Problem with arms?
Hi Everyone! 
If you have downloaded one of my clothing and got the funny arms (stuck in to body), please report that here! I´ve got many complains about the Sarah Dress, but now I can tell you it has been updated and the new file should be approved soon! So remember, if you got that problem, report it here!

First of all, I don't mind questions. If you have one, ask. And either I'll be able to answer or I won't. The best way is through PM. In comments I sometimes quickly look through those, see a question, but don't have the time right then and forget to go back later and a couple weeks go by and I suddenly remember but so much time has gone by I feel stupid and figure the person won't even remember asking.
Thus my making this post *lol* The people who asked the questions will most likely not see this but, oh well, I tried.

If in the future the TSRW allows for making accessories layerable, yes I will as this is how I would prefer them too.

No. I don't upload to sims3.com, and the Sims I use in all my previews are made with tons of CC, some of which is not mine. So uploading the Sim without that CC would be pointless as it would look nothing like the preview ;-)
"Can you tell me how to make _______?"
No. That's too big a question. Too big for someone who actually has a life outside the sims. *lol* I am happy to give tips on specific areas of creating, but I do not and never will have the time to teach you how to use all the programs required. The best suggestion I can make to people who want to learn how to create CC is to not just do tutorials made specifically for the Sims, but ALSO do tutorials for each program, as that is where you start to learn how to create quality items. Sims tutorials only teach you how to make one object. Learning how to use the program itself is far more valuable. ;-)
Having said that, I think from now on when I'm working on a project I will try and make a blog with info about how I did a specific part of that project. Hopefully it will be of some use to someone out there *lol*

Well, in CAS the arms look pefect...there does seem to be a set of ghost buttons at the collar, but I'm not sure if you intended that or not...in game, there is some shadowing around the upper arms where the sleeves are, but the actual dress looks great..in fact the shadowing wouldn't bother me at all, so I'm not sure if its the dress causing that or the light, it is early morning, and in CAS there was no shadowing on the arms at all...
in fact, i think she looks pretty hot in it :-)....

Stupid volcano!
Hey everybody,
My dad was supposed to be home this morning but because of that stupid volcano that erupted, we have to drive home all alone back to England!!
I also want to give a quick update on what we did yesterday. We went to a big shopping centre and we bought loads of stuff. It was seriously fun!
First we went to this place called 'Sports 2000', where both my sisters got amazing clothes and I got this really nice bikini. You might think that it's weird to have a bikini when it's only April, but I needed to have it because we may go to a swimming pool or something soon... Who knows? Then we went to a bag shop where my big sister got her new school bag, it's really nice. Purple snakeskin... Anyway, I was going to get a little Kipling bag, but my mum said it would be less expensive on the internet or in England. Then me and my little sister went to a toy shop called 'Bart Smit' and I was going to get the sims 3 world adventures, but again ''Sweaty, don't you think that it would be much less expensive on Amazon?''. Then we went to this lingerie shop for my big sister, which was really boring and took ages! But the most fun was when we were just going to go to the sweat shop, my mum saw the time and noticed we had to or we might get a fine, so she gave my sisters and I TEN EUROS to spend on sweats in the sweat shop. We bought lots of sweats and when we got to the car, we only had 1.30 euros left. My mum was astonished, but started laughing because we had bought her favorite type of licorice.
