Summer Hill Episodes Coming Soon
Just a quick update. I have a busy couple of weeks at work in real life, but am working on the next episodes for my Summer Hill legacy. :)
Inspired!
I have found a new story to work on at the moment! Yay, I needed a break from legacy's. My this one will help my writers block. Working on it now :D
Clothing for weekends at the beach, mountains and Takemizu Village
I'm creating a series of sets for making easier your Sims choices for short trips, like the weekend to the beach, the mountains or the Village Takemizu. The first set will be published on the 28th of this month. I hope you enjoy! :)
Thank you everyone!
Just want to say a big fat thank you to all those who left congratulatory messages in my guestbook! I'm really really grateful to be chosen for SA of the month when there are so many more talented creators and artists out there. Creating for the Sims is fun, and even more so when you know that people enjoy your work:)

Introduction:
Welcome to the NewWalls System, a totally revolutionary way of decorating your walls! Keep in mind that as of this day: 4-16-10 I have only uploaded the basic set and many more options are on their way. I have planed at least 2 more complete set and several special individual additions so keep checking back to expand your collection.
Which do you need:
I have (and will continue for the new additions) to upload “duplicate” items. They will be designated as Basic or MGAL. The difference is only in how they are cataloged.
For those who have either Mansions & Garden stuff or Apartment Life Expansion (or both) you have a catalog option that is otherwise unavailable: Build mode / Construction / Architecture.

It is designated by an ionic bracket located 2nd from right on the bottom row. This catalog section is relatively empty as only those 2 packs use it and it allows for repeated purchasing (you don’t have to select for every piece) These factors makes this cataloging preferable, however even with these added packs you may choose to use the basic sets. If you don’t have either one or the other MGAL designated items will not show up in your catalog - USE BASIC SETs.
Basic sets are cataloged under Buy Mode / Decorative / Miscellaneous,

which is already rather congested with numerous items but the base game dose not really have any other viable options. With these sets I strongly recommend setting up a collection folder to help keep all your NewWalls objects together & easy to find. Basic set is also available by room sort and community sort under “Other”.
Personal note: I really like Mansions & Garden stuff and recommend getting it if you haven’t already. Most of the stuff packs I don’t think are worth the expense but this one is. (My opinion only of course)
What it is:
The NewWalls System is a collection of trims, moldings and wainscot add-ons. They can be used on almost all Maxis wall coverings as well as most standard formatted custom walls. However it is best used with 4 way tileable wall patterns (Generally: any that do not have trim already pained on). This type of wall pattern allows for wonderful design possibilities when constructing multi storied walls, overhanging balconies an the like because the uninterrupted portion of the wall can have a seamless pattern trimmed only where it should be.
NewWalls trimmings are also 3D meshed allowing better visuals achieved by natural highlights & shadows. Another advantage to the 3D mesh trimmings over the standard flat painted ones is seen at wall edges such as corners and terminal ends. Because NewWalls trim is 3D it adds shape, volume & dimension in these areas. Far more realistic! A complete set will include Crown molding, Chair rail, Wainscot, & baseboard. Each of these have the primary form, an outside corner and an end cap for terminal walls. The baseboard, Chair rail & wainscot also has left and right stair angles.: See “ Magic” section below.
For those who are mesh conscious: I do endeavor to minimize my vertices and planes as much as possible without having to be excessive on the size of the texture file or sacrificing form. A wainscot panel for example only has 2 faces & 4 vertices.
The choice Revolution:

Here is a page from my in-game walls catalog showing a variety of wall papers, the “Gratuitous” wallpaper set is highlighted as this set is what I will use in the following examples. As you already know (and can see in the illustration) with the original system you have 1 catalog entry for every option.

The “Gratuitous” Wallpaper set has 1 solid 4 way tileable and 6 available variables for a total of 7 entries and 7 options. This creates excessively burdensome catalogs while providing very little choice.
For use with the NewWalls System we only need to have the 4 way tile basic pattern. And our NewWalls catalog entries.:

These are the entries for base game Standard set (the one currently available) This set has 18 catalog entries (which will be common for all complete sets). In this set each form comes with 11 texture options. With this setup we get 78+ Options!

77 trim options, still retaining the untrimmed option, + stair angles (see magic section below). That’s 78+ choices for each & every base 4way tileable wall pattern. 10 4way walls gives 780+ design choices, Add another NewWalls Set (if it also has 11 textures) & 10 walls your available choices would be 1560 for a total catalog load of 46 entries! And that’s only calculating all matching textures (Like all white or all oak), But with this system you can mix textures a white baseboard & rail with oak wainscot etc. Base game comes with 57+ 4way tileable wall patterns. When this project is completed the number of design options will be virtually unlimited.
Here are some examples of 2 story wall layouts possible trough use of the NewWall system that would not be possible with standard method (atleast not without a whole lot of wall files!).

Magic!
Try this with standard wall technique!
Yea right, like that’s possible. But it is with the NewWall systems left & right stair angle pieces.
It’s magic! Now you can smoothly transition your walls from floor to floor. Yet another advantage to using the NewWall System.
Pre-Trimmed Wallpapers
You can overlay NewWalls components to most pre-trimmed wall patterns. However the standard Baseboard dose not completely cover painted on wide baseboards (ie.: “Gratuitous“ wallpaper with kick molding has a wide baseboard). (The baseboard from my next set will). NewWalls units also don’t work well with panel formatted walls (ie.: “Frank Lee Scarlet” Paneling), or most walls that have boarders (ie.: “Hopalong” boarder on…). This system also is not well applied to special wall patterns (Ie.: “Churning Energy” or “the Happy little pattern” in …). The best wall patterns to use are un trimmed 4way tileable wall patterns.
Final notes
I have used the “texture repository system” here. With the standard set you must have the baseboard (master) in order to have the chair rail (slave). Crown & wainscot have their own textures.
For a full selection of currently available NewWalls pieces enter NewWalls into the search box on TSR
Searching 4way will show my selection of currently available 4way tileable wallpapers.
As of 4-16-10 I have only the standard sets. Other sets & special add-ons will be available soon.
Artists:
Anyone wishing to add to the NewWalls collection with creations of their own are free to do so but please give me credit for concept / inspiration as the initial creator of the NewWall system.
Wallpaper artists are encouraged to add “4way” to their keywords list if it applies to their wall pattern.

THANKS!!!! Sims 3 Story Pod
I am too excited!!!
When I opened my minipage today, the first thing I noticed was that Fred & Barb were looking at me. I had to look twice, and yes... Good old Frank Cooper, with his butt on fir, who had been sitting there for centuries in my story pod ....was gone... finally! Finally I have my Sims 3 stories featured on my minisite! Can't tell you how happy I am.
Who do I thank? I have no idea, but I will say a BIG HUGE thank you to TSR staff! I LOVE you guys! THANKS!!!
The Merindylen Chronicles
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I have posted anything of substance here on TSR - real life has a habit of getting in the way of my leisure time!
However, I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you a new project of mine. I am currently working on a story called "The Merindylen Chronicles". Unlike my other stories, this one is set not in modern times but in the fantasy kingdom of Merindylen where magic, evil, politics and love blend together to make life ... er ... interesting! This is a story I have been writing on and off in my (infrequent) spare time over the years, since before I had even heard of the Sims. The main female character is Illandrya, my namesake.
As a sneak peek, I offer you the (extremely) unfinished Merindylen Castle. My heartfelt thanks and appreciation (and apologies for making it "pretty") go out to Cyclonesue for her wonderful "Castle Lore" sets, without which this project would have not been possible. I have based the architecture on Bodiam Castle in England in the vain attempt to create an authentic looking medieval castle.

Stay tuned, there is more to come :D

Amazing Oppurtunity For The Sims: Virtual!!
If EA decides to take The Sims to virtual era, i would so drop the funds on picking it up...now some may say WTF? but wait think about interacting with the large 3D world of The Sims, an expensive project, yes...but make by request and limit the quality of this new technology...If i could, i would propose this and watch the feedback of this extremely cool project.

Getting tired of playing legacy's
I have finally worn myself out on legacys! Which is why I will be taking a break from my Beckett story. It was just in the beginning and my first so I don't think the readers will be too outraged. I don't think there are many tied to my story anyways at the moment, haha. My fiance came home the other night to me playing a new game FULL of cheats! I went a little crazy on the cheats. He just laughed at me. Maybe I will find another story to work on, that is NON-LEGACY. Sorry to anyone who was connected to my story, but I am not ending it completely.
houses
i am currently working my way through each house in my game and re-vamping them and uploading onto tsr. i have already done 2 but it is slow moving as i don't have much spare time at the moment. bear with me and new houses will be uploaded as soon as i get chance xx

Beautiful Sim(to me)

Heigh-Ho, Heigh Ho
It's off to building I go lol! This should give you a hint on my next creation and if you haven't guess it is the seven dwarfs cottage. I could only find a couple of images of the cottage so I ended up doing a little improvising of my own. This cottage sleeps 8 and naturally Snow White is the 8th person and has her own bedroom. I also made a barn to house animals made by Rebecah a artist here at TSR. Right now the cottage is built and decorated and I am focusing on the landscaping. I am trying to create a forest like atmosphere with lots of trees, shrubs and flowers.
Landscaping is one of my favorite things to do on a lot but even I can get stumped on how I want it to look or even how it should look. Usually when I get stumped I take a break for a few minutes or even longer and just refresh my brain a bit. In keeping with the Disney theme, as in catoonish, the interior and objects are colorful but not so bad as looking outlandish lol!
This lot has a lot of CC to depict what the seven dwarfs cottage would look like and decorated. Not all CC will be included in this lot and only TSRAA objects and SA. No FA CC since I want this lot to be free and any objects that came from another site will not be included but I will have a link where you can find them.
I am really enjoying building this lot and have wanted to do it for awhile. I hope you like it and comments are most appreciated :)

Problems...
Lately I've been with some computer problems and that forced me to format it. That means I have to slow down a little bit the creation of my new story, Red Moon.
I hope you understand my problem and I'm truly sorry for the wait.

The Zoo
Dear All,
Today, I went to the Zoo with my mom and sisters. My dad wasn't there because he had to go to Tanzania for his work at 6 in the morning. I woke up at 5:30 to say goodbye and then I crept back into my bed.
After I slept for a about another two hours or so, I woke up, showered, had breakfast, played on Sorority Life on Facebook (I'm trying to steal my sweetheart back after my sister stole him yesterday) and then I put my lenses in and we shoved ourselves into the car. Me and my little sister watched the beginning of the movie 'Into the Woods' all the way to the Zoo. We bought our tickets, went through the gates and walked all the way to the monkeys. There were two males, one female and a little baby one which was amazingly cute!! After a few minutes watching the monkeys, we went on to the elephants and flamingo's. There were millions of flamingo's, all asleep. One was wobbling widely on his one leg, and it was funny to watch him. There were a few children elephants, littler than the normal ones but much bigger than the twin baby's! Well, they weren't really baby's, just a few months old, actually. They were really cute and little, they hardly knew how to use their trunk and they wobbled a bit on their legs. There was a really big elephant, probably five times my height (and I'm 140 centimeters) with amazingly long tusks and a big, fat trunk. My sisters and I nearly choked with laughing when we saw his 'manly privacy' - it was so incredibly long it nearly touched the floor!! Anyway, after the elephants we went to the snakes. There were lots of them and they were all really scary! There were pythons (I really liked a python that was bright green and ate birds. It hangs in a tree like a leaf, and when a bird flies by it quickly snatches it from the sky and... ''yummy, yummy in my tummy!'') and scary cobras that watched us with beady black eyes... AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! There was also a snake body stretched out and it was nearly four meters!! After the snakes, we went to the kangaroos. They were really cute and there was one that was pregnant and a baby kangaroo too! It was funny to see them walk and hop. When we finished looking at the kangaroos, we went to the pelicans. They were funny, but boring, so we quickly went further on to the panthers! We watched from inside a glass house as a panther walked aimlessly next to us! Then we looked at the African animals. There was a really cute baby zebra that was eating poop, a baby giraffe that was licking a metal pole and lots of funny gazelles and racing zebras and a big giraffe that came so near we could nearly touch it. There was a swine, cool birds and little birds and various others which I can't remember. Moving on, we came to the meerkats! They were so incredibly cute that it was hard to go away from them. One of them came up to us and really looked at us with his little black eyes! So cute! After we went to the bear. We couldn't find it at first but then we walked a little bit further and we found him! He was big and brown with intelligent black eyes. He was swimming in the water and then (twice he did this) he suddenly started splashing the water around him. It was really nice to look at. But eventually it got very crowded and so we went further to the 'prairie dogs'. I'm not sure what they are called in English because the Zoo was dutch, but I think it was something like that. Anyway, they were really cute too and there was a little baby that was clinging to it's mother's tummy. After that we went to the seals. There was one seal that was being trained to do tricks. It was really funny to look at and then my sister said ''it looks like a mermaid'', which I guess it does. Anyway, after the seals we walked a little further to the Wild West animals. They were nice, but very boring so we went onto more monkeys. They weren't as fun as the other monkeys in the beginning, but at least they were monkeys. There was a petting zoo, but there was nothing to do and it was really really boring so we walked back to the elephants. When we got there, there was a man that was feeding the elephants. It was really cute to see the baby one trying to pick up a piece of watermelon with it's trunk that didn't really work. After the elephants were fed, the man also washed them with a hose and every elephant ran away from it except this one that ran through it the entire time and then it fell to the ground and started rolling in the sand! Then we ate our sandwiches and my sisters and I played for a while. When we finished our sandwiches we went to the sharks. They were really freaky and so we quickly walked to the butterflies. They were beautiful, but it was so warm and stuffy that we walked back out again. When we were in the hall there was a butterfly on the wall, away from its home! We didn't know what to do, but this man came up and he carefully picked up the butterfly by its wings and placed it back in the other room where all the other butterflies were.
After that part of the zoo, we went to the second part which was a ten minute walk but closer to the car than the one we were at. Because that zoo is split into two parts. One part that is actually a zoo, and the other (part Es) that is more for children and has a gigantic indoor playground!! So we went to part Es, walked around for a bit and then, finally, we went to the playground. My sisters and I played for about an hour, when we went back up to my mum to go to the toilet. Then my mum said we could eat something, so all my mum had a coffee, my sisters and I all had a slushpuppy and we shared a large plate of nachos. Then we played a little bit more, but eventually we had to go home.
Just before I end this post, I would really like to thank Vanilla Sim for giving me two tutorials on how to make custom content. Now I can finally make my own stuff! Thank you, again, Vanilla Sim. I have also figured out how to make stories, so watch out for my stories and the new CC that I am going to make!

UPCOMING - BLACK & WHITE LIVING ROOM SET :)
Finally finished a living room set I started months ago. I can't belive I left it undone for all this time. I was somehow busy in RL and then I joined Second Life and started creating there ... and time goes fast - really fast. But I'm happy I found time for this. I was having a sort of block on the preview photo. I couldn't find the right composition for my photo. And I got pissed of and let it behind me for all this months :) But when I started again, I made it really quick :) Was damn hard to find all my files ... some were missin.. so i had to do it all over again :)
But finally! Preview of UM Black & White Living Room Set:

The set would be available in few days if everything goes ok ;) So come check soon.
Have a great time! UM
Very mad if you have a question about my work ASK

First time for everything
Yes, its always first time for everything. This time my first time will be to make a Sims 3 house and share it here I think. Have done houses for sims 3 before, but never shared it.

Oh and how do you connect your facebook to get the 300 kudos i became a fan on facebook but nothing happened
Update of 2day
Hey All,
So you might think that posting two (maybe more) blog posts in one day is stupid, but I like keeping my readers updated. So... After my last blog post I had lunch, then I went outside to play. I sat outside looking in my baby photo album and after that I waveboarded for a little while. This is a waveboard:
It's actually my little sister's, but I like it too and I can play it as well!!
After I waveboarded, I asked my mum if we could go to the library because I didn't have a good book to read. She said yes so I switched my half-long trousers with jeans and stood ready to go. Then a Repairman came so I had to wait. After that she said I had to wait longer because she had to buy milk from the supermarket with my little sister. When she came back we had to drink TEA! And then, finally, we could go to the library... God I hate waiting!!
and just a random funny one ...

Anyway, I might give you guys another update later today...

The Drifter - Part 7 published
Hey all! For those of you who have been following my story, The Drifter, well I have finally submitted part 7 and it has been published. Apologies for taking so long on this one, it did take me a while to finish. I have so many ideas for this story and directions that I'd like to take it but you can only fit so much into one chapter or part! ;)
Meshing!
As you may have noticed - I have finally learned to mesh! My tropical decor set and smeg fridge are already uploaded. Next in line is the ModoModo kitchen!

This will be a 6 piece set - the two counters and stove you see here, plus sink, matching bar counter, barstool. It's already half done! :D

The Efteling
Dear All,
Yesterday was so much fun! We arrived at the Efteling (if you don't know what it is, read my last post) at 10:05 a.m, five minutes after it opened and we went at 6:00 when it closed. Our favorite ride was the Flying Dutchman, we went in it exactly 6 times! We also went into one called the Python, with two loops and two corkscrews - we went into it exactly 4 times. We also went into lots of others that were fun, relaxing and thrilling! Another one that we liked was called the Bird Skirt, and it was very fun too. We will go again next year because then another fun and thrilling ride will be opened and one of us will be able to go for free!! It's called Floris and the Dragon. The only thing that we wanted to go in but wasn't working was the Villa Volta. You go in a house and every door closes except for one and you go through it into a room that 'moves' (according to my little sister, as she did 'research' and decided in which ride we would go). I'll add a picture of the Efteling rides here...
This was the Bird Skirt entrance
Flying Dutchman
Guess what? PYTHON!!
Villa Volta... Closed :(
Well, that was it for today - I might post later on... maybe.

Entry 02
Well, I tried to upload some of my CC but it's not working. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I got one thing to upload but then when I clicked on "pending" there wasn't anything there. Maybe I'm just not doing it right.
My turtle is doing well! I decided to name him Burkley. I took him into the new pet store today and bought him some decorations for his tank and some food. He wouldn't eat the shrimp I gave him so I got him some special turtle food. He hasn't that yet either, but we'll see. The tank he's currently in is only 10 gallons so I'll have to get him a bigger one soon.
Another Blog Already... Craaaazy!
But I'm just too happy with how the pendant for the necklace worked out so I have to share! 4 hours straight of shading alone then tweeking, tweeking and more tweeking.

I actually made the key a little smaller after taking this cap, but yeah, very happy with it. And I think the bone assignments are good too. Some extreme motions cause small spots on the side of the neck to cover the string, but this seems to be a compromise thing again. I could have fixed it by making the necklace wider, but for only a few movements, that don't happen all the time, I didn't feel was worth having it obviously sitting away from the neck. So, yeah, not perfect but close *lol*
ETA : yes, the key is a 3 dimensional mesh and not just a flat image ;-)
First Set Of Paintings For TS2
There is my first set of paintings/wall hangings for TS2. It is a set I made for TS3. They will be available soon.. I hope that you like them. They are base game compatible.

Keep me warm
Hello, I'd like to thank everyone for reading and commenting on my storie! If you'd like I can get the second part out today, just say so and i might be nice enough to let you see it ;)
Break
I'm in South France at the moment, at my dad's. And I don't have a laptop yet so I haven't been able to work on new meshes. There's a bench that's almost ready though. I'll be uploading it by the end of the week. I'll try to at least.... I have a lot of parties coming up :P
my hoods are dissapearing
OMG! I don't know what to do cause my hoods are being 'terminated' has anything like this happened to you or do you how to stop it or get them back cause Pleasantview thing dissapeared to!!!
500 000 downloads!
Thank you for all your comments, downloads and bookmarks! I'm really excited having reached half a million downloads and 200 creations :)
Thinking about throwing my Sims 3 out the window.
I'm really starting to hate The Sims 3. I played for about three minutes before it crashed on me to desktop because of the new patch and along with the other problems I'm experiencing (posted about it in the forums) I'm starting to get fed up. Maybe I should go back to The Sims 2... Stupid EA.
Hiatus =/
Hopefully someone cares enough to read this.....
Hi Under the Same Moon readers (I hope there are still some out there)! The story wasn't meant to end when it did (although it would kinda work out); my laptop doesn't run Sims 3 very well and right now it's the only computer I have. It's been on the fritz since a couple days after the the last Under the Same Moon installment and crashed a couple of weeks ago. Although my lap top runs better now, the game not only has the same glitches, but it runs slower. I'm getting a new computer sometime this fall and I might even sell my laptop (any takers? lol) cuz it's kind of an inconvenience to me (which is pretty ironic). Until then, as you can probably tell, I won't be posting any more installments of Under the Same Moon, but I can post the story without the pictures if anyone wants to read (I'll just need to finish it lol), also since I plan on starting the next installment from another point in Patience's life. Lastly, I want to apologize to those I told that the next installment was coming soon and to the loyal readers that have been waiting. I've been so eager to keep this story going that I even dusted off my other computer hoping it would work. Instead it runs as slow as my laptop and force closes because of some stupid "llarmnt5" deficiency or whatever. The only option I have is to wait until I can get my new computer.

Entry 01
Today (04/11/2010) is my first day on TSR and I really like it. Everyone here is very creative and outgoing. I'm trying to figure out how to use the TSR Workshop, but it's very confusing for me. Lol So far I only have custom content that I've created with The Sims 3 Game Launcher. I'm hoping to learn how to create things from scratch so I can share them with everyone!
Whenever I download something from here I always click the "thank you" button. Sometimes I will leave comments, but not too often because I rarely know what to say. Lol Anyway, I just wanted to post my first blog entry and say hello to everyone. :)
Happy Simming!
