I want to upload new houses. There are so many homes i have build, but i can't pack them for upload!
My game is crashed since patch 2.3 and i can't figure out what's the problem is :(
So I was starting on a Drive in ended up at a Motel
So I began to build a Drive in lot... but wanted to make a really good one in the process of getting frustrated I decided to start on another lot so I began to build a Motel because I have a few Sims that need a place to go when cheating on a partner so they dont get caught... haha
Well just finished on Motel should be published in a couple of days

Three patterns coming up (I hope)
I had to admit that the patterns I uploaded before didn't work anymore - so I threw in the towel and went browsing some more tutorials. I found Sinastra's one, and what do you know! It worked! Three of the 'old' patterns have been reworked, screenshots added and - with crossed fingers - have been submitted. Now we just have to wait to see what comes of it... and what you guys think of it too of course. They're batik patterns I used to make say, about 30 odd years ago. Very quick and easy way to brighten up dull run-of-the-mill t-shirts :D
I wonder if I can cross-reference to my Facebook photo album here for previews. I can hardly dump them all in my screenshots.

I'm A Goofball
I'm such a goofball. You see this is how it all began. I bought Sims 2 University Colletion with IKEA stuff, and Teen Style Stuff. Okay so I bought this I would say a month ago at the beginning of February.And I've been playing every since then. Okay this is where it all began, my computer recently crashed. And so I had to install all my custom content over. And trust me that is the most toughest J-O-B in the world. I'm still downloading. I had over 5000 files of it. And only 2000 now that I've found and not of the same stuff (this is where I cry!). But anyways back to the story. So I found out that I couldn't install the sims2pak files. And I was really upset because that's how I get my lots and things of that nature. I was like stab myself in the eye mad. Literally. So I've been looking all over the internet world looking for patches and updates and things like that. Because I still don't have half of those updates for my pc that went missing after it "mysteriously" crashed! Then after the patches and updates supposedly said they worked (the ones I did find) I triied to change the way the sims2pak files upload. Like that button open with that appears when you right click a file. The crap kept opening in wordpad. Don't ask. So back to the story. I decided to reinstall all my sims 2 games. Which luckily I only had two. Univeristy and Double Deluxe. And that's the good part because my crazy pc wouldn't even recognize the 4000MB file as anything. Saying it wasn't installed in the computer when I sat and watch it do so (University). Well during installation it asks which files do I want to download (the collection one!). The stuff packs or University instead. And of course I picked everything but the Sims 2 Store Edition that was included with the University Collection. Now I decided that since this was the second time and since I didn't install it in the first place might as well now. So, and sorry I say "So" a lot. But anyways, when I did finally finish installing everything I started up my game. And the weirdest thing happened. At first when it came to the loading page it said University Collection. But this time it said IKEA Home Stuff. And I was like YEA! And then I was going in to make a profile pic for my TSR page since I've never updated (loser!). And I saw that the sims 2 store addition allowed me to put body piercings on my sim. And I was like WHOA! And that brings me all the way back to the beginning of being such a goofball. I should have installed the Sims 2 Store Edition even though I had the basegame. And now I figured out that I could nstal sims2pak files now! The patch I found on sims 2.com really helped. And so I changed all my files back to the bodyshop package installer. And voila there it is. Moral of the story, you can never have too much of one thing. Especially when it comes to sims2. I mean the whole sims 2 store edition thing.
You know it added another little thingy on my game launch thing. The sims 2 store edition button. That's o_O.
I feel so much better now. And if your eyes are hurting for reading or even looking at such a LONG passage I am terribly sorry.
But if you have any custom content please comment. Its so much easier looking for things that way. Or I could just check out my download history and that has over 1000 items (lol.) But yea, Bye.
Summer 2010 part 2
Hiya all
This is my last blog for now.
I told you in my last blog that I sigen up to work in Spain.
Well the plane is leaveing on the 4th of march From Amsterdam to Barcelona (12:20 h)(GMT + 1) from there I'll fly to Palma de Mallorca at (17:00 h)(GMT +1) It's gonna be a long day considering you've to be earlier on the airport and all. and I don't know at what time I arrive at the hotel.
I hope you all like the last submissions from me, there will be more in november 2010 when I return.
Everything I was working on: New Worlds, some lots, and the story has been prossponed till end november 2010. I'll be back around the first of november but before I've finish things it will be the end of november..
I've to get packing, I only have today and tomorrow left

My first Legacy challenge - the Lakeman family!
I'd heard about the legacy challenge before, but had never tried one because I didn't know exactly what the rules were. Well...today I found out :)
I also learned a few things about TS3 gameplay in general. For instance:

Showers are another matter, however.
Power Girls Convention Spain
This is the most wonderful thing that we are doing. I admire Fred, Barb, Sonja and Jeanie that they can get along with it so fast. I must admit that I have some more shots but this takes all my energy from me. I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit more to see my results. Sorry girls. Perhaps in a few days I can pick it up again. For the moment, I have to focus on my work because this week I have to do some excursions and that work means about 10 or 11 hours on the road. Then I will really be too tired to even start the game.
Ooooh - what does this button do?
Usually, I'm the kind of person that reads the manual first and then tries to figure things out. Problem is, I don't seem to be able to track down proper manuals for all those 3D programs we need to make 'proper' stuff for TSR. Recolouring is nice, but sometimes I would like to make things from scratch. Frustrating, to say the least :P I made a maxi-skirt and it looks quite nice, but when the Sim runs, it looks like those 70's bellbottom flaired trousers (yes, I did wear them in that day and age and yes, that kind of custardy yellow - the batiks were used in t-shirts, mostly :D) so I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong there.
Patterns - another thing, I made a few, but I'm still not satisfied. Redo from start that one...
Another project were curtains. The weird thing is that they look good in the download, but the moment you place them in a lot and want to save the pattern/recolour them, the pattern is gone and you have just a grey blob O.o I noticed that with some stuff too that the moment it goes in your storage (when you move for example) it reverts to its original product.
All in all, lots to learn still :D I'm starting now with a little 10-hour crash course on CS3. Going to check the net for some weblearning too - I heard about AutoCAD, maybe I can try that ;) Like my grandma always said:"You have to keep on learning your whole life long, otherwise your brain dies off!" ;)

Ballerina 2
This is my second set of ballet outfits. I was delighted when Maxis included ballet as part of FreeTime but disappointed by the extremely limited selection of ballet outfits provided - including only a single tutu! So naturally I felt compelled to create some re-colours of the very cute Maxis FreeTime tutu mesh (I love the lace straps and the rose on the bodice). I have created six new tutus (3 pink, 1 white, 1 black and 1 red) all worn with white ballet tights and classic pale pink pointe ballet slippers with ribbon ties. The later Maxis meshes are less flexible than earlier meshes as far as re-colouring goes, so the basic design of my tutus is the same as the Maxis original i.e. crossover straps at the back and rose embellishment.
All outfits are available for adults and young adults and require FreeTime in order to show up in your game. I have categorised the tutus under both athletic and everyday wear. You need to have them available as athletic wear as the Sims change into athletic wear before using the ballet barre - but bear in mind that you might not want to have a tutu set as your Sim's athletic wear choice if you're planning to have your Sim go jogging or tackle an assault course! I have included a ballerina collection icon with this set - all 14 of my ballet outfits will appear as part of the collection - to enable you to find the outfits more easily in your game.
Amsterdam PG Convention - The First 10 Screens, the Comments
As some of you may have noticed, there are an aweful lot of screenshots with the same sims in them all the time lately...as of this weekend... You are correct. BUT... They are not just any, somebodies Sim. These are the 7 most powerful female Sims around. Therefor we organized a POWER GIRL Convention to be held on different parts of our globe. NOT with just a simple copy or download of that sim we can get everywhere, but with all of the REAL sims together to enjoy each others company, to laugh, learn, and share their experiences. 7 Powergirls from 6 different Countries.

1. Barb & Penelope

has arrived by train. Fred, Barb and Haagje are delighted to meet up with their
friend from Germany!
Penelope had a long journey! She's really eager to visit France with the girls!
Fredbrenny: This is such a great opportunity! SimJeanie's Penelope travelled a great deal to meet up with the rest of the gang. So far we have Haagje, Fred, Barb and of course Penelope herself. We would LOVE to have Tessa, by Caridina for instance, to join us!

For weeks she told me she wanted to meet her friends and as I see she's arrived safely ... Simsjeanie: Oh, Haagje will find out that Penelope is lazy - she'd done all self-cleaning updates she could do at home so the only cleaning she's doing is wiping the surfaces in the kitchen from time to time. But I see she's feeling at home - Haagje has the same tableware as Penelope ... Oh, what a wonderful spot to sit down and relax - with Haagje in her beautiful home! That's great!

Martoele: When my Cynthia is there, they all will win because it's been such a long time that she hasn't done anything to keep fit. That's of course because she has no men around the house. She lost all of her physical skills.

Infact, its actually better than ever before. Not only did I manage to fix the problem ( turned out to be a dodgy install of the original copy of Sims 2 ), but I have new expansion packs to use:
- Pets
- Nightlife
- Apartment Life
:D
In short, this means I can create even better dorms, houses and new even apartments!
Most importantly, your feedback has been mainly about adding driveways for cars. Well, now I can!
So in the meantime, I'm going to play around with a few new designs, hopefully posting them online in the next few days!

Commenting the Power Girls' Convention
I was thinking about how difficult it is for the organisers of the world wide Power Girls' Convention to have a look at the comments. By now it's nearly impossible to get an overview of who had commented to what and got back a comment ... So I thought it may be helpful to have the comments together in a blog. I don't know if it will work, but if you don't give it a try you'll never know ...

@ Margo: No, Penelope hasn't got enough room for all of them. At the moment Barb and Fred are sleeping in her four-poster bed and Haagje is sleeping in a quick put up in the same bedroom while Penelope is sleeping in the basement - where usually the awful instrument of torture (for strenght training??) is placed. They have to get a much more spacious house for their convention to feel comfortable when they are all together! And yes, Barb was cleaning up by drinking all the nectar ... *lol*
@ Fred and Barb: I'm rather sure it was no juice - it was the rest of Riverview Kabinett Auslese and Riverview Kabinett. But maybe the last glas was an Alcaseltzer - I'm sure she needed it ... *lol* I'm so sorry, Spitzmagic, that I didn't take better care of Barb but she was so quick!!! Actually she was told to have a nice bubble bath, but she prefered to relax in another way ...
@ Fred: Yes, it's an omniplant feeded with deathfish. As Penelope had lost all her income by her ownerships on the businesses - you know the world wide depression that came with WA (Those guys at EA are so quick - they got rl at once to the game!) - she had to look for some other regular income. She's got the green thumb and her skills about gardening and fishing are up to ten. So she always has four omniplants at her backyard she is feeding with perfect deathfish. She gets 4x4 deathfishs a day, feeds back four of them to the omniplants and so she has a regular income of nearly 9.000 Simoleons a day. Much more she ever can spend! You see, it's always good to trust in yourself instead of trusting in unreliable economy.*miss the smileys at the blog*
The plans for today are: Taking Haagje to the hairdresser, get new tops for the girls to change with the pay-2-get-3, maybe visit the wellness-center and getting a massage of 7.500 Simoleons. I know that sounds somewhat demanding. But I tell you - it's worth each single Simoleon! They'll get +70 moods for 7 days - and they can afford it. If you want to be good to others you have to be good to yourself first ... They have to do a lot of travelling, jet lag and so on, and I will do all I can do to get them in high spirits.
It would be perfect if we could upload the PG WWC (Power Girls' World Wide Convention) at the storyteller section. The shame is - I'm so addicted to this challenge - I want to put my noise in the different Conventions every day. I want to know what the girls are doing - I want to read it and see it. It's so much fun for me! Having a look at the Storytellers I see that there are submissions day by day now. Perhaps I should give it a try ... The other thing is - it's interesting and a lot of fun for the organisers of PG WWC. But perhaps the other 2.298.120 members of a total of 1.298.127 members of TSR wouldn't appreciate it getting the storyteller partition cluttered up with PG WWC.
So tell me your thoughts about managing this challenge, dear friends!
@ all the TSR members who drop into this blog by coincidence or whatsoever - feel free to leave any comments and having fun, too. It's not a "closed club" and it's not meant to be - far from it! It's just having fun with the community and whoever has fun with this amazing though crazy idea is welcome to share our fun. We all are part of the great TSR community. Perhaps you get an idea of another "community challenge". The only restriction is set by the game itself who allows only eight sims in a household. But I can tell, that's more than enough. It's a lot of fun, but sometimes it's hard work, too. (See poor Barb having all the glasses of nectar because I didn't take care ... ;) As for me I would love to have a look about other "conventions" ...
Brownstone housing on its way....
So I was in NYC this weekend and I was just hanging out when I came across W 88th st. Full of these beautiful brownstones. Even though you could see on the outside the houses were old you knew inside was full of money... not literally but you could see thru some of the windows all the nice furnishing. Well I took a couple of pictures and decided to make one of these homes for my Sims... I hope you like it should be published in a day or two... :)

Still figthing
I´m not dead or retired or anything like that, I´m just figthing really hard to get my game working. After reinstalling a couple of times, having patterns as the only CC and still having my computer shutting down, I have decided to uninstall "High end stuff" and see how it goes. I hope I´ll have some lots up pretty soon, but keep your fingers crossed.
New Moon
Hello again! since i just made a new account here i couldn't of had made a blog the day of me seeing new moon...so here it is!
Today i was so bored and wanted to do something (talk about boredness lol) so my dad says hey want to see New moon? I was speechless. So we pull up to the theater and i was screaming in my mind like crazy! So we get are tickets and we get popcorn at head to the room we see it in. We watch it and we watch it then it goes to the end and.....I SCREAMED! everyone stared at me lol i was so enbaressed... hee hee so that's it! tune in tommorrow.
I have a problem with TS3.
There won't be any story updates for a while. You see, I'm having a problem with The Sims 3 - I keep getting a blue screen of death which says "driver irl less or more" or something like that. I've already tried to fix it, but it hasn't worked.
So you'll probably have to wait a while for any updates.

I'm Back (or will be soon)
WOW ... Hi, it has been a while quite since I have been here. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the end of July 2009, and things have been quite hectic around my house since. Then my computer started acting up so I have been on a borrowed computer since before Christmas and did not want to put a bunch of stuff on someone else's computer so I have not even had the Sim's Games out. BUT hopefully that will be changing here real soon. We are suppose to get our income tax return on March 5 at which time I'll be ordering a NEW computer, and I'll be gettng the Sims 3. I plan on getting back into creating for the Sims 2 also trying my hand at some creating for the Sims 3.
Before my computer started acting up I was trying to learn meshing and I liked what I was accomplishing with it .... SO.... I plan on trying to get into it more and hopefully I will like the stuff well enough to submit it, as it has been a dream of mine since I first descovered the world of the Sims. I have always wanted to make the actual objects.
Well with any luck I hope to be up and creating on my new computer by the first of April .... and sooner if at all possible. I figure that if I order it on March 5 or 6th it will take about to weeks for it to arrive and so that puts me to the middle of March and then by the time I get it all set up and everything downloaded and installed it will probably put it at the end of March.... if I can start creating the end of March I should be able to have some stuff to offer by the first week of April ..... I hope.

Blog girl
Here's my blog, 3 days after my first, on the last day of February. I'd like to wish everyone who reads anythiing I write a good spring (though we still have a ways to go) and a good week. And, this time, I enabled comments. (I know. I'm such a newbie.) Winter's almost over. Just gotta stick it out. I am writing my story more, and it should be up in a couple days. (Or not, because my weeks are always really busy.) Thanks to everyone who've written comments. TSR people rock! I'm glad I've met all these good people! And, as a bit of a sneak preview, Part 5 will be all about Brandon, from his point of view. Yay! Laura will be back to tell part 6, and everyone's heading to school....now I've just gotta build one....

Clutter Is Good
I don't know about any of you alls houses, but in mine the dishes never make it into the cupboard after being washed. They just sit on the counter until they are used again *lol* So of course I need dishes to leave strewn around the kitchen and dining areas ;-)
I'm designing these to fit into my Colors collection. The plate has two recolorable areas and the mugs have three. I'll make a cereal bowl, and then I think a creamer and sugar bowl. I have a few other ideas, but need to experiment first to see if it's possible yet ;-)

After having to uninstall my entire game yesterday, and reinstalling it last night as I couldn't load my newest world test, I finally managed to test it with a couple of sims today...after taking loads of pics and getting them running all over again I've noticed a few bugs that need to be ironed out...
this is the most major one!! I have no idea what happened :-D!! All I can think of is that since my last blog, I adjusted the world, smoothed stuff out, deleted some lots, added a lot of spawners, so perhaps I've adjusted the road level somehow...I was hoping to just upload this version as a base game without any lots to keep the file small as it's only 18mb at the moment(which is about the same as some of the hair!). I haven't added any waves, well just one to see what it looked like, so I'm not sure if adding more will kick the size up or not...anyway, this is what it looks like so far in CAW...

which just looks so pretty!! There is 68 lots altogether, 22 of which are community lots. I've tried to keep everything standard sizes so they can be 'plopable' but I've made some residential at 15x15, 15x10 so are perfect for small starters. I'm going to try to build a few residential lots so that there is a few things on there, but I will probably upload those seperately to keep the file size down. The community lots I will build all of..so that may take some time. But like I said I'm going to upload it with no lots on for those who like to do everything :-D...
I had finished my first lot yesterday but forgot to export it before wiping the sims so I had to restart that today before trying it out in the World(oh, and if anyone is interested I've called it Paradise Isle, because I had a severe lack of originality when I was thinking of a name)...anyway, after completing my first lot today and testing it I've submitted it on here..it fits nicely into Sunset Valley in Sunnyside Blvd, so if all goes well it should be up for download on monday/tuesday....

So I know that the spawners are working..I've placed about 400 in all, including bugs, butterflys, metals, rocks, fish and gems..hope that's enough :-D..I also took a lot of pics, about 250 today..lots of sunrise and sunset, as you know I love my screenshots and I've tried to build the world with pic taking in mind..I think I need some more palm trees, can't beat palm trees at sunset..and here are the results...

So I'm going to take a break for a couple of days to play and test..and rest :-D ....And I've now got to put todays dinner of roast chicken on :-D a womans work is never done (I'm sure I've typed that before ;-) )...

Wooo Kudos!
Okay, so I'm pretty new to uploading my designs to TSR, and I love it! Thanks so much to everyone who has liked my designs thus far - you've put a smile on my face every day!
Still, as a newbie artist, I'm not entirely sure how to put signatures on work or anything like that, so if you know a good program to edit screenshots in to make them look more professional (or a program where you can design your own signature), I'd love the advice!
Also, I've recently discovered the purpose of kudos (which are awesome)! I'm so excited. I have to give TSR props for how they set up their rewards system - it's very encouraging! My current goal is to get enough kudos for a banner. I've already designed it. Hopefully with another six houses or so, I'll have enough. So, if you have a house design that you particularly want, please post and let me know. I'm always up for ideas! To get an idea of the sorts of stuff I do, you can look at my lot downloads already available, but I'll sum it up here:
1) Historic accuracy (even if its a fictional place - like my Munchkinland parks, they are historically accurate according to the set)
2) Minimal interior decorating (I'll let you know where the bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms are located, but I'm not going to decorate everything; my designs are architecturally focused)
3) Details (I'm big on details, which is why houses take me so long to make - no exterior nor interior detail will be neglected - all the lighting and landscaping will be thorough)

Finally! I hope that spring will be warm this year) The sun shines, and it means good, I hope. Now I'm waiting for the 8th of March-it's Women's Day! I don't know, maybe it's not celebrated in another countries, but in Russia it' a good reason not to go to school=)

Power Girl Convention

Sims, Dropa Stones and Veronika Storm
When I first found a Dropa Stone in the game I had no idea what it was. Imagine my surprise when I did a little research and found out there is (supposedly) such a thing as a Dropa Stone!
Legend has it that they were found in a cave in the Himalayas back in 1938 amongst the graves of dead aliens - I kid you not! Of course, that story has never been proved, but we can still have a little fun with it.
I am adapting the legend of the dropa stones for the latest chapter in the Veronika Storm adventures, which I posted yesterday.
