Strangetown story update
I have finished part 7 of the Strangetown Chronicles just before new year, but I can't upload it because something is wrong with my wizard manager. I had no problems with the previous story, so I have no idea what happened. So when the next part comes out only depends on when the support will be able to fix whatever is wrong. Other than that, I will only have time for playing in the end of January, because now I am having exams. Wish me luck!
Free time!
It's so nice, I have 3 whole weeks before school starts on the 25th! But I'm not used to having so much time free, I wonder what I will do with all that time? Play Sims of course! I's so nice not having to watch the clock all the time, just play for as long as I want to.

Wall Flowers Sconce
I am desperately trying to find a black and white base to match maxis base game wall light.
I have posted this also in the lost and found. I have located something to match my requirements but they are not showing in my game regardless of them just being for the base game and no expansion packs are required.
So frustrating when I have had to start from stratch and I lost all my decent custom content. It has taken me 3 months to search through all the download sections on TSR.
If anyone has any suggestions they will be grately appreciated.
The artist who created the ones I located doesn't appear to be active anymore on TSR so there is no point in messaging them about them not showing in my game.

My Upcoming Designs
At last...
I've finally uploaded the Eygptian lot, only took me a month to do it, but hey..going adventuring is fun and very addictive ;-)..I can't believe how many times my sim has been Burnt, Electrocuted, Shot, Steamed, Soaked and has passed out, without dying!! Not even after being burnt 4 times in a row :-D...maybe you can't die whilst on vacation..I don't know..I haven't been trying to kill her or anything, I just see where I want her to go and forget to look for traps ;-) ...and the expressions she pulls, soooo funny...as you can probably tell the game impresses me alot...I've been playing sims since the first Sims1 game came out and each time they have brought out a new version I've wondered how they could possibly make it any better...I remember first playing Sims2 and thinking 'Wow, this is utterly amazing'...and the Sims3 was the same, and when I first played WA i was stunned...I wonder what Sims4 will be like ;-)...anyway, I've uploaded a new lot and I'm really hoping everything is ok with it..I've had sporadic internet connection all day and getting cut off every time I uploaded a screenshot was begining to wear a little thin..I contemplated booting the router round the room, but it's definately not that..it's the internet provider, so taking it out on the router would have been a bit mean :-D ..anyway...I hope it runs ok for everyone, its just a small lot, changed from my original plans because I was installing a tomb in it and if I had carried on with it, it would have taken me at least another month :-(..but I've still got that to finish, so maybe one day I will upload it ;-)..
It's smallish above ground but I've added a basement so it extends down below as well, and it's quite simply furnished too, so I hope everyone likes it :-) ...

Jan. 4th, Vanity Fair Part II
Vanity Fair Part II is a mini-set of 3 new furnishing, which include a ladies slipper chair, round table, and a vintage table lamp. All pieces feature bold gold trim and accents--perfect for an "over the top" Victorian home. The round table features 5 new wood textures. The table lamp's base and shade both have recolorable parts.

Back up Coming Soon
I just found out my backed up files will be ready for me on Monday. So that means I will be able to play sims 2 very soon but I will have to upload my games onto my new laptop. So that's alright. With any luck I could a new update in two weeks or so but i have coursework and my illness is getting worse.

The Year 2010
AS much as I wanted it to be normal, as much as I wanted to be happy with what is happening with my life.. there always seem to be the dark side of every success. I'm glad I have a wonderful, understanding, very loving husband.. a very sweet, thoughtful son.
What more can I ask for? To have that dark side be on the lighter side as well. That dark side means the envy, the insecurity that wraps every journey you take.
Wishing the year 2010 be more merry, happy and full of life.
Quirky problem with latest patch
Yesterday I finally took the plunge and patched Sims 3 up to the latest version (I backed EVERYTHING up first, of course).
It all seems to work perfectly except for one tiny little issue - if I try to recolour the frames of photographs my sims have taken it goes a little awry! The tiny portrait size recolours fine, no problems. The next two sizes bizarrely change to a frame that isn't solid all the way around - the frame only goes halfway along each side.
But the big issue is the panorama frame. If I try to recolour it, the game freezes immediately and there is no way to recover it.
I'd love to hear if anyone else is having this issue or if it's just a quirk of my own game.
Some New Year's Resolutions for you...
Happy New Year to you! There, that's that boring old formality done with. Now for the real purpose of a calendar date merely switching from one number to the next: the ridiculous excuse to make RESOLUTIONS!
But of course you haven't bothered with that. Most resolutions (like dieting, giving up smoking, and resolving not to dredge up forum threads that are at least eight years old) are all completely phoney and you'll give up within two seconds of the last line of "Auld Lang Syne" (btw: can we PLEASE have a new dratted end-of-year song next year?!). However, resolutions are what I'm good at (when selecting for other people, that is) and so allow me...
RESOLUTION NO 1: DOORS
Do not mention the word DOOR to me ever again during the remainder of this year. In particular, do not come waving that grey modern door at me asking for clones. Just don't - okay?
RESOLUTION NO 2: WINDOWS
You will learn to love inside-out windows. They are unusual and uniquely authentic to the creator.
RESOLUTION NO 3: CONVERSIONS
It is no secret that there were some creators who were shockingly lazy and inept at Sims 2 creation. It is therefore cruel and borderline harrassment to badger these witless creators with requests to convert their Sims 2 work to Sims 3 as it merely serves to remind them (and the rest of the world) of their ineptitude and make them a laughing-stock of the entire Sims community. I would hate to be one of those unfortunate creators who took two months to convert some simple Gothic windows, for example....
RESOLUTION NO 4: HIDDEN TALENT
Resolve to understand talent like you have never understood it before. To judge a creation by how it looks in the game or how useful it might be is such a gauche way to judge, these days. If you find yourself looking at a questionable object that not only doesn't look very good, but also has little if any value or purpose (especially if it came from MY pages) assume that there is special hidden talent in the object's inception: some finesse, some miraculous touch to bring you an unseen level of quality that isn't cheaply obvious like those other so-called 'wonderful creations' you might hear about....
RESOLUTION NO 5: JUST LAUGH
If any creation (such as one from any of my pages) should send your game up in smoke, then it is etiquette to laugh about it. The proper way to laugh is a light, tinkly laughter that is gentle on the ears. You may voice appropriate words too like: "I never did mind about the little things..." (such as Crash To Desktop and "Unable to start process..." messages). Sims wearing their heads back to front, returning from holiday to greet themselves sat on the sofa in triplicate or a Sim suddenly married to their toddler are hardly shocking events in the world of EA at the moment, so a mere loss of everything is nothing really. Just laugh - tinklingly.
It's Been Awhile
Well I guess it's been awhile since I posted any new creations, I'm terribly sorry for that but real life does take over sometimes, I have also been playing with The Sims 3 World Adventures. Well I will be uploading some new stuff very soon. Sorry for the delay.

I'm Baaaaack....
Hey Everyone,
Well, 2010 is here & it's time for me to get back to creating lots & neighbourhoods!
I've been using the break to gather a heap of new ideas & to recharge my batteries. I already have a few new lots on the go & will be devoting plenty of time to them. I will be continuing to create in the Sims 2 & hope to make a couple of buildings for the Sims 3. When the World Building Tool comes out for Sims 3 I'll be spending lots of time creating new worlds for the Sims 3 too! I had a blast playing with it at the Simposium & I can't wait to get busy with it!
Thanks to everyone - especially TSR - for their support while I took a break. I'm looking forward to 2010 being another bumper year full of practical lots that run fast on your computer & neighbourhoods that feel both realistic & are fun to play in!

In my kitchen...
I wish I could have herbs in little pots, and an onion braid on the wall... I already created a cookbook, and a bottle, and some stuff is awaiting to be accepted : two new wall paintings for the kitchen. I'm still thinking about a clock, and some stuff to let my kitchen look a little messy (like my real one, I confess... :) )
Gimme a break
Computer problems, work overload, multiple colds, artist's cramp... can make anyone crack. I just couldn't find the energy for Sims 2. On the other hand, my son got Sims 3 on his computer, and we have both been fighting for play time (he usually wins). It's same but different. I would like to create downloads for Sims 3, but just eyeing the manual was too much. Better stick to what I do best, or at least resonably well... ;-) So I'm back in business!

2010 is a brand new year, the only resolution i will be sticking to and making is, to create more walls to share with you all and stay a member of TSR. :)
This is a fantastic website and everyone is so helpful and friendly and has made the past few years since I have been on here, wonderful and a great experience.
Keep up the fantastic work everyone and I hope to see everyone's 2010 creations soon.
My Guestbook has been wiped of all the comments from 2009 but its not that I didnt like them, its so i can start 2010 on a fresh slate so to speak.

A new year
It's a new year again. I spent my new years evening whit my sister, her husband, their 2 daughters and my boyfriend. We had a really nice time, playing boardgames and eating a loveley dinner. But as always, it's not easy staying awake until 12 o´clock in the middle of the night. But i managed to do it.

Happy New Year to all of you. I start the year with good news. My husband rarely uses his laptop and yesterday he suggested me to use his' as well and I thought "well, perhaps I will re-install the Sims 2 on his one". Now and again I miss Sims 2 very much. But then, I had the idea of installing the Sims 3 and the WA. I just thought that I wouldn't mind if it went wrong. Well the install and automatic update went well. It updated untill what I have on my own laptop the version 2.0... (I don't remember the whole number) It was patched untill the version 2.3..... Then on the launcher was a message that I had to update again and it would update from 1.7... to 1.8.... I felt already that I would have to remove it from the pc but then ... oh Wonder... After the update was done, it still was version 2.3.... and working all fine. Now I've got the 'worldtool' (still have to study on the tutorial) and will be able to download worlds created by other creators. Isn't that good news? The next thing that I try is to put all the extra's and downloads from my other laptop and insert it. Even the storytelling and the simmies. Only then, I will dare to update everything on my own laptop as well.
Now isn't that good news?
From 1 to 3
Going from the first series of the Sims game to the 3rd one is really hard to get used to. For one, there's a LOT more to do. I'm not stuck just being at the house. What I love the most is that my sim doesn't have to go to the bathroom like 20 times a day. It's a relief that I can actually focus on doing things and not have to worry about their moodlets going down so often. I absolutely love the new game. It makes me curious as to what the Sims 2 game was like because I never got a chance to play it.
Customizing your own furniture and characters is the best part. I love it. I love that I can add my own designs to everything. I'm still trying to get used to it but I am loving every minute of it. :)
The wait is over!
Finally I have submitted Chapter 3 of The Jade Princess. I am very sorry it has taken this long but the past week I have done nothing but sleep and attend parties! I'm almost looking forward to going back to work so that I can have a break :D
This chapter is full of puzzles and traps found below the surface of Shang Simla. However, I have been very careful to mix things up enough that for those of you who haven't yet explored Shang Simla to its fullest, it shouldn't spoil the fun.
Hopefully it won't take too long to be published, so sit back, relax, and get ready for a bumpy ride!

Doors are bores, but done!
I've added a new factory set: doors! 
The set comprises 10 doors of various styles. Some are clearly industrial, but others will work in any kind of building (the door on the right is one example). Anyway, I hope I've made a good range to increase your building choices.
I hate making doors. Double doors especially are utterly horrible to make. The ironwork lattice door and I became arch enemies this last few days as it persisted in shooting bolts of white triangles shooting across my screen whenever it was open. Transpired I'd tried to be a bit too clever with the non-existent glass and confused the game to bits. All is now well and good in ironwork lattice land.
The set is released next Friday: 8th January.

I wanted to wish you all merry christmas too but read about a virus going round on TSR sometime before christmas - and afterwards I just couldn't make it over the holidays... (we celebrate 2,5 days in Germany ;-)) And my husbands birthday is just one day before christmas, so our guests arrived even two days earlier... I called it our "christmas marathon"... ;-)
Anyway - all the best to you all, especially the many kind people who continue to bookmark me although I haven't come to creating anything for years... I still plan to but can't promise anything... hopefully I won't disappoint you all :-)

Happy New Years Eve! My Quiet Return!
If anyone's reading this...it's 2:22 am, and you've got nothing else better to do than read blogs and play The Sims all morning long. Well, if you are reading...I'd like to explain a little bit of my abscence. Maybe no one's noticed...maybe, no one cares at all. I don't really know how long of a hiatus I've taken, but I've been going cold turkey on The Sims and creating skintones and sims. The reason why is mostly because, I'm very busy, tired, shopping online, trying to graduate and pass all my finals and spending time with family. A much larger reason as to why I have stopped dead in my tracks, without a trace...is because of this:

Dudes, it's vindicatedmess, emphasis on mess. What did we really expect? 
Sometimes...I just don't get people. I know it's all criticism but sometimes it's just plain mean. I've been a bit cautious about uploading my creations and feel as though I'm not competent enough. A lot of the comments are because, I photoskin too much. It looks a bit fake and just copy and pasted. Which is true! It's a bit pathetic of me, when I have to take 3-4 hours copying and pasting, but I do more than that. Look, I'm 17 years old, I've applied for UC's for Graphic Design and have all ready been accepted to 3 colleges. I know what I'm doing.
I don't need people talking behind my back. Man up! Confront me, I'm right here waiting. Whether it's to my YoutubeChannel, my modthesims account or The Sims Resource account, come and get me. Hit me with your best shot! Don't talk behind my back. I applaud those who have written to me to tell me how much I suck! But I am disgusted by those particular individuals who don't have the guts to confront me.
If it matters to those particular individuals at the GardenOfShadows, I'm sorry. For whatever the f*ck I've done. I'm sorry. For whatever sin or monstrous deed that I've done, I'm sorry. For whatever it is, that you cast on me like a burden, I'm sorry. I hope you are reading this. I truly hope you are. I can't say anymore than that.
