Fixing Meshes

I finally figured out why my meshes would show as the clone I used from a distance and I am in the process of fixing them. Sorry about that. All should be right from now on starting with the Christmas stockings. I will go through and fix other objects I have already submitted.

Well, birthdays are almost over and the car situation is working out nicely now that the dealership is involved...  Looks like I'm back!  No properties yet to upload, but a neat little horror story waiting in the wings.  I know I've said it before, but in my defense, I write a little too adult sometimes...  This one, while scary, is pretty tame.  Cross your fingers...hopefully you'll be reading it soon!

Retirement 101 - Finale Published

Hello all, yes unfortunately my story has come to an end. For everyone who has been following the journey of Grandpa George and Grandma Josephine I thank you for your support on my first story. I hope that you enjoy this last chapter and that it is not too sad for you. I said to myself that I would take a break from writing but it seems that I have caught the writing bug like everyone else. I really do enjoy it! And it includes my other favorite thing, Sims! Well happy reading and thanks again for everyones support.

Update

Duo the update from 17 nov I can't acces my neighboorhood that contains some lots including the Victorian Mansion. I can't finish it now. that's really sad it was a great lot and I put a lot of time and energy in it. Don't worry there will be other lots.

I've bought WA so after I played with it (because It's really nice to do) There will be some lots for these area's aswell.

and ofcourse the normal lots will come to.

With Christmas approching my site will be red or green untill the end of december just to get in the spirit......

Pending, Pending Away...

So I submitted this week's lot a couple of days ago, and it is still pending. This isn't completely unusual, but just thought I'd mention that I really have submitted something for the week and it just needs a little more time to go through, so hang tight! I think its approval might be stalled because it's a renovation of a Maxis lot. I mention its Maxis history in the description, and since I've seen contests here involving remodeling of Maxis homes, I thought it would be okay, but maybe not. We shall see! And yes, I totally forgot I had that lot planned for TSR before mentioning my desire not to build anymore based on a specific neighborhood. Oops! Oh well. It may be a remodel of a Riverview lot, but it is 20x30 and will fit in Sunset Valley, as well....

Valley of Dreams... the finale

since I have been a member of the site since 2004! and someone after me also join with the same screen name as me I have oldmember in front of my name this is more disappointing from this site since most sites once you have picked a screen name it's yours for good. You would think they couldn't have a name that you created for yourself. Why should oldmember be penalize like that? specially artists that upload things for other members to use? like you said this really baffles me! well I sent a message to the site hoping they would change my name. Hello everyone! This is my first blog entry. I hope everyone enjoyed my creationthe Omnitrix Ben 10 alien force. After I get my computer upgraded I'll be working on finishing the Ben 10 set by next project will be making his jacket and going to try to tweak more the jackets from the sim 3 in one of my 3-D programs and then work on a body texture for Kevin 11 and then I want to try to make some glowing eyes for Gwen. If anyone has any tips on any of my projects I would really appreciate any insights you would have. Well have a great day and I'll be updating my blog later.

Where did Alice go?

Alas, poor Alice!

No dining set.  Any downloaders foolish enough to trust anything I make will be the proud owner of the most pointless dining set yet.  The Alice dining set can't, erm, be dined at.....

Before you start assuming that I just throw random files at the servers, I do have an excuse.  It's feeble, but an excuse IS never-the-less an excuse! 

I first made the set with the publicly available Workshop 0.8.7.  I tested the chairs both independently of a table, with the Alice table and with other tables, indoors and outdoors.  Everything was fine!  But then the TSR dream-team came out with a new closed beta version of Workshop that also generates the shadow meshes automatically AND perfectly.  Any object creators who have tried lining up shadows won't be reading this because they will already be committed in some local asylum somewhere, but yes, it's true: the dream-team have made sunshadow worries a thing of the past - dead easy.  No more MLOD2 and MLOD3 nonsense; no more wailing about disconnected, badly shaped shadows.  One click and the shadows are made automatically.  Beautiful.

So, I ran the Alice dining chairs through the closed beta version, loaded up my game to admire the perfect shadows (and they are perfect - kudos to the developers), and sat a Sim on each chair just to be sure they still worked.  I also placed the chairs at a dining table to ensure they placed correctly, moved when the table was picked up etc.  Fine again!  So, I uploaded the set. 

What I forgot to do in the second round of testing was park a dining table in front of the chairs AND sit a Sim at the table!  Sims can indeed sit on those chairs, but not when they're at a table.  The latest closed beta of the Workshop also automatically adjusts the green footprint beneath the object (extremely, brilliantly useful) but dining chairs have an odd arrangement (a hidden footprint behind the chair when at a dining table) which the Workshop had not accounted for, meaning the Sim could not pull out the chair in order to sit on it at a table.  Fortunately, the beta also allows the footprint to be adjusted manually, so I've made those adjustments and am happy to confirm that the chairs now do work properly. 

The set will be back up shortly.   And the new beta Workshop will be out shortly too!

Sims 3 World Adventures - testing the new adventures out.

I have just gotten World Adventures.  So far I really love Shang Simla.  I am fully exploring each vacation area.  I first found out that you can only go for 3 days the first time you go as you have 0 Visa points.  But as you build your adventuring skills by completing tasks for the residents you win Visa points, gold coins (you need those to buy special items to help out exploring) and regular simoleons as well as treasure, relics, and new types of rocks, jems and stones.  I am going to be posting my screen shots of Abby and Skye Hampton as they go along.  They can now go back for 5 days as they have 1 Visa point a piece now.  But they need to work on some promotions to earn the money for a return trip.  Or a mysterious relative neither ever new could die and leave them $50,000 simoleons I haven't decided yet.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks.

Making some more stuff today-don't worry! LOL!

Going to be making some new clothes today...had a couple of days off from designing because I've recently got a new laptop and been transferring stuff over from one to the other and that's taken quite a bit of time. Plus, yesterday, I had a problem getting TSR Workshop to work on my new laptop, so had to sort that little technical difficulty out.

I've already made some new Sims to put up when I next upload...all that remains for me to do, really, is to install PSP back onto my laptop so then I can take screen captures of the Sims/new clothes etc for my previews. Doesn't seem to want to do it on Photoshop at the moment. *shrugs*

Just been picking up some new pictures from Google Images for inspiration for future projects...still focussing on pretty cute characters...got some Kirby, Pokemon, Morph and Moomins. Hopefully. by the end of today, I will have made some things that are good enough to post and hopefully will be approved overnight.

Poll result on first EP for Sims 3

As the EP now is available for some around the world I've closed my poll. I still haven't got my copy yet but it will come maybe today or tomorrow. What's strange is that in the list if you count there are 79 in the total and in the list I have that voted only 76 are mentioned! Here is the result of the poll and out of all who have voted, most have said they will wait until it's released. Just under a third have preordered it.

I'm Back and Writing

Hey all,

Wow....haven't been around for a while, sorry bout that I've been so swamped with all this stuff from exams to TAFE courses which sadly meant that I couldn't write the next chapters to some of my stories that I've been wanting to finish off. So hopefully I can do that now..ish because I've got some free time. So Escape from Paradise and Good vs. Evil should be out soon, I left you all on a bit of a cliff hanger for Good vs. Evil, whoopsi I wasn't expecting to get so swamped.

But I'll get those stories done and hopefully out in the next couple of days. On top of those stories my minds been going crazy thinking up two more stories....so much thinking I've been dreaming about them. That was a really weird dream I remember going 'No! that's the wrong cover!' then I got paranoid that I hadn't saved the cover I created. But I did. So all is good.

Anyhoo, i'm off for lunch. Having some weird chickeny, taco-y rice thing....I don't know it's real name but it is AWSUM! and the microwave just beeped and I can smell it. I think the smell went in my eye, it hurts. Can smells attack eyes? Well there's something to ponder whilst I have lunch.

Sims 3

So I caved and purchased Sims 3 yesterday. (yes I am aware an expansion comes out today).  I only got a chance to try it for about an hour...Not bad. Will hopefully get used to it soon, but I love sims 2 so much I just don't know how #3 will stack up.

Empire Line dresses - revised and improved versions are available.

The original mesh used for Empire Line dresses has been replaced for another one which works better in game. I must thank to Lianaa for the new mesh applied.

So, to those ones who have downloaded the Empire Line serie, I suggest to uninstall the old files (from Sims 3 Launcher) and then to download and to install the new ones.

I apologize for this matter, I have made these changes in order to improve quality of stuff.

Just moved to a new laptop...

...so that is why I don't have any upcoming items yet! LOL! I just need to get everything I need to create things over to my new laptop and then I can start creating again! Yay! My laptop that I was working on before was broke like no one would believe, so it really is such a relief to have one where everything works for a change. LOL!

It�s D�j� Vu all over again!

It’s like déjà vu, all over again! The Sims 3 Chloe Dining Collection was published November 12. Now it is time for the Sims 2 Chloe Metro Dining set to be released, the set is scheduled for publication on November 18^th. Chloe Metro Dining is a new Sims 2 contemporary dining set; it features a 3-tile dining table, casual dining place setting, dining chair, deco/china cabinet, hutch, and several new deco items.

To use the place setting with the table you must download the invisible table mesh. Remember, you must place the place setting on the invisible table first (use the “M” and “,” and “.” keyboard keys to position the place setting) and then move everything to the dining table.

Shadow

Here are some new pictures of Shadow, our cat Escape brought her home one night when she was around 8 weeks old or so, she had no home, and was hungry. My family and I have been working with her, and I'm proud to say she is a new cat! She now lets us pet and hold her, she will stay in the house now with the door shut, and she loves to cuddle! She is getting big and strong, and is happy. She still runs from other people, and hides from them, but at least she trusts us now, and knows we won't hurt her. And I have to give thanks to my dear husband, he is allergic to cats, but he isn't letting it get to him, he is trying different allergy meds, and is happily playing with both cats!!!!

New Hair!

What's New

I am currently taking a break from the Harry Potter stuff. Hogwarts was a huge undertaking, and as yet, is not quite complete. I am working on a few more modern homes. sooooo...when i go to download sims off of this page....the picture of the sim that i am downloading does NOT look like that in my game.....i dont get it....can anybody lemme know what is going on?!?!?

Winter SUCKS!

I seriously hate winter.  Cold and/or moisture & I do NOT get along well AT ALL!!!  So thanks to THIS Season I'm not able to create nearly as much as I'd like to.  I don't have a lap top anymore so when I'm not able to stay sitting at my computer no more bringing my computer to bed with me. :(  But I'll still be diong some stuff here & there.  So when ever I'm able to I'll still make some more lots & pets & walls. :)  If I didn't do ANYTHING I'd go nuts. :P  But if anyone notices that posts get looked at but not answered or answered in fairly short form compared to normal.......things will be back to normal once Spring arrives. :)  Until then if anyone is interested in a body swap let me know.......but I think only a masocistic bolimic would be happy with the trade; I'm in pain 24/7 & often it makes me sick to my stomach......they'd LOVE having MY body. :D  LOL

Rumor aside...where ARE you?

Ah...the rumor mill, gossip wagon, watering hole...call it what you will, if it is a "mysterious" happening, it must be discussed, right? Well, I've been asked if I've decided to retire from FA, stop playing sims, leave TSR, or what. The simple answer is, "Are you out of your..." Er...sorry. Have to be careful there. ;) Honestly, the answer is no. So just to be sure we are clear, I am not going anywhere. TSR is my home, always has been, always will be.

For those who want to know what's up, I have been in the middle of a large move. While that doesn't sound TOO bad, it also involved job hunting (in today's market?!), getting my youngest into preschool, etc. Between the move, new job, and helping my son adjust to his new schedule (and mine), things have been a little frantic. Now, with the holidays coming it's just kind of compounded everything. LOL! It's exciting...it's frustrating...and it's eating into my simmie time. Bah!

The good news is, things are starting to settle down now. YAY! Hopefully that means that I can start carving out a new time slot to play my sims and be able to be on site more often again. I honestly look forward to it!

So have faith, have patience, and above all...have fun! I have been collecting ideas and plans as I go, and hopefully the wait will be worth it. ;) Thanks for listening!

For The Love Of A Sister Series

Just wanted to let everyone know that not to worry; part 4 is ready, but...I have been having some uploading issues, so it's taking a while, so please bear with me! :(

Excuse me as I cry!!

I just typed a big long post and it was deleted....

Anyway... Yay me, I have reached 75 downloads and 104 creations! Its a mini milestone for me... next to achieve is 100,000 downloads.. Eeeeeeehhhh (High Pitched Scream) this would be exciting... thanks again to all the lovely downloaders who love my creations... I hope anyway!!

Now, i had a realisation the other day when I went on a downloading spree...

I always felt down when I didnt get any comments, feedback or even "thank the artist" from all you downloaders. I loved getting nice sentences telling me what they loved about my creations and a thankyou, but these got shorter to just "cool" etc. which I felt was a real downer that people cant spend a tad extra time to say thanks, this looks great!! or more..

anyway, on my spree I finally decided to go check out my download history to start leaving my comments... well I was completely overwhelmed with downloads that as I went alone I was leaving shorter and shorter comments, or not at all, just leaving a "thank the artist"

Aaaaahhhh - too much, so I learnt my lesson, and you know what, it is nice to comment peoples creation and put thought into each one. Also I find that when they do leave me comments, i click on their name to comment back and say thank you, but it just bounces back to the home page... Grrrr... this is frustrating!!

Anyway, check out my bikini, its not downloading as much as my other creations, which may be due to the fact that it is a bit out there, or the fact that the picture sucks

I would like to thank all the artists and TSR for the awesome job done with content and for the ease of download and use. This is my favorite site for Sims stuff. Kudos to every one of you.

My next project is...

...the Key West style cottage! The exterior is completed and furniture placement has been determined, now all that's left to do is chose my colors, patterns and furniture styles.  I was hoping to have it completed by Thanksgiving but since that is only a little over a week away it doesn't look like I'll be ready.  It usually takes me a week just to do the screens and write the description.  Can you believe it...just five weeks till Christmas!  So little time so much to do!

Anyway, here are a couple of preview pictures.  I haven't chosen a name yet so if you want, please feel free to leave a comment about your choice.  My top choices are:

• Canary Cottage (because the house is yellow)
• Conch House (because of the style of architecture)
• Key Wester or Key West Cottage
• Bahama Breeze (because conch style architecture is typically found in tropical climates, especially in the Bahamas and the Florida Keys.)

A story with meaning :)

Hey guys,

             Just wanted to let you know that I have submitted a (one off) story that is based the last few years of my life. I am doing it to raise awareness of the different illnesses that I suffer from.

After the initial submission, it was rejected but I have fixed it up and I re-submitted it two days ago so hopefully it will be out in no time.

I decided to set it up as a mis between a talk show and a 'This is your life' kinda thing, something a bit different. I hope no one else has ever done anything like this on TSR. :)

'Apple' is just taking a rest while I figure out where I want the story to go next. I will work on part five this week.

Thanks to everyone who reads, enjoys, rates and comments on 'Apple' and I hope you will also like my new story - even if it is VERY different.

Uninstalling Sims 2 :-/

I must say, I never thought I'd see the day I would consider uninstalling the Sims 2 for good :-/ Since purchasing the Sims 3 (for the second time) a few weeks ago and downloading plenty of custom content for it, I have had so much fun with it. I have written my first Sims 3 story which came out almost a week ago (A Night to Remember - thank you to all those who read, rated and commented on it!) and I can see myself writing many more stories with it. I am currently writing another Sims 2 story at the moment because I have had this storyline in mind since before I finished Learning to Love. It is called My Own... and the first part should be out very soon if you want to keep an eye out for it! ;-)

Anyway, what I'm trying to say, is that after I finish this current story, I am considering unistalling the Sims 2 for good as I don't think I will play it anymore and it will free a great deal of space from my computer (I have about 8GB worth of custom content for it!). Has anyone who bought the Sims 3, uninstalled Sims 2 and regretted it? Or is it a good idea? I would love to hear your thoughts!!
