Just a quick update

I feel a little sad just to go to my Sim game. :( Starting September 25, the rains did not stop here until Sunday morning. My husband and I thought it's just an ordinary rainy day, I even cooked breakfast before he left for duty. Not until lunchtime did he call and ask me to watch the news, that there is a Typhoon. At the time, he was on duty and checking me at home. He said that on his way to work, the streets are already flooded, rain is heavier and some areas, water levels are already above 15ft. Tropical Storm Ketsana or Ondoy as it is called here hit our country very hard. I started to panic when I saw the heavy flood on tv news and what's going on in greater Manila {where my hubby works}. I can talk just right to him until 9pm and he said he's on his way home, but after that, all cellphones went dead already. No network coverage anymore. I waited. Hope he'll make it home safe. 12am, 2am? I was so desperate and asked anyone even a landline operator if he needs to get rescued. My husband was stranded for more than 6 hours. The rains did not stop from Friday night to Sunday very early morning. The flood was so bad and some areas were evacuated already. Residents are already trapped on their houses' second floors. I was so thankful my husband made it home safely and that me and my family live in areas where it does not get flooded. I feel very sad for all the other Filipinos who are affected by this tragedy. Most especially those residing in Marikina, Pasig, Rizal, Bulacan, and the rest. Many people lost their homes. Last I heard there are more than 278,000 families already affected. There are reported deaths already. According to PAGASA, the storm is now moving westward going to Vietnam, however, there's a new low pressure area building up [far southeast of Philippines] and expecting to hit Phillipines again by Thursday. We are hoping that this new low pressure area won't be another full-blown tropical storm. The rescue operations are not even done yet. Watching the news is heartbreaking. Our prayers goes to all the affected Filipino people. Do not lose hope.

Boys' Love genre...in Sims?

I've been writing Lorelei which has Girls' Love in it for quite some time and a thought came to me. I AM a die-hard fan of yaoi/shounen-ai/boys' love/gay stuff and been dying to write a sim story with that genre.

Only...I'm quite worried if it will be accepted around a rating-concious place like this. I don't plan on making it explict but some scenes are never avoidable! A few intimate poses here and there and over romantic confessions of love and...stuff like that...

I won't stop Lorelei though, its just that I want to try this one out, if it works out then okay but...if it doesn't well...I might move it to somewhere safe ahahaha.

First Ever Story

French Country Estate

For all the Sims 2 people out there. I have finished my latest house. A french country estate, inspired by a winery in France. 

Right now, I still prefer building for Sims 2. I will build both Sims 2 & Sims 3 for now, but I will build more Sims 3 once there are more expansion packs. I find a lack of building objects to build what I really want, so I'm just going to save my great Sims 3 ideas for then.

Part 5

Hey everyone! I decided it was time to start a blog! I wanted to let you all know that Part 5 will be out A.S.A.P I am VERY busy at the moment, having school all day, 3 hours of homework, and softball practice almost every night! By the time I even get on the computer it is late at night.  I've started to take screenshots, but since Part 5 is a very long part to make...I don't want to rush throught it and make sound rushed.  Thanks for all your continued support and views! -Liv

A storywriting update / Me and TS3

Hey all.

I know what I promised. I know it didn't happen. I am very sorry. I'm having so much work for college now, I can barely breathe. But now I've been ill for a week and I had some free time on my hands, so there finally will be some updates.

I tried to play my legacy, but I got slightly bored of it and it's running a little slow because of the huge lot with so much stuff on it. So I've given it up for now... I'll get back to it. But I just don't know when.

But... there are the good news. I've been writing Strangetown Chronicles. And now I'm finishing the part 5 of it. Yes, that's right, part 5! And there's only been the intro so far. So you'll have 5 chapters to your delight very very soon. I will upload them tomorrow if not tonight and after that it's only a matter of time when they get approved and available. So I thought I'd tease you a little, so you'd have what to expect...

Another thing. I officially hate TS3. More and more everytime I try to play it. We are all different types of players here, we all love sims for different reasons. TS3 doesn't have what was the whole point of the sims to me. I tried to adjust to the game, but it's just not for me... The only good thing is that I got my Collector's Edition as a birthday present, so I didn't waste my own money. I still occasionally run the game, just to remind myself how and why I love TS2. Yet for those of you who like TS3, I made my sim self and it's now available for downloading. And if you have some interesting stories to share of what you've done with the sim-me I'll always be happy to hear them!

That's all I guess. I'm off to finish part 5 and play a little. Be on the lookout of the Strangetown Chronicles in a day or two...

Hello, my friends!

Now that the weather is cooling down here, I feel like it's a great time to get back into the swing of building!  I was able to upgrade to a new computer last month, so now I have Sims 1, Sims 2, AND Sims 3 all on one machine!  (Am I obsessed or what??)  As I mentioned in my previous entry, I'm not overly impressed with Sims 3 yet, so I intend on primarily continuing to create items for Sims 2.  (I'd also make items for Sims 1, but I still haven't gotten the hang of creating custom content for it.)

I also would like to remind you that the S2HBAA Monthly Building Contest is always underway, so please definitely feel free to participate!  The larger the pool of entrants, the better!  And, it's all in good fun.

I just wanted to let you all know what my next project is. I have a lot of idea's for this window set.

I don't understand people that go around deliberatly rating most screenshots a 1.
What do they get out of it exactly?
There have been some lovely screenshots by people with ratings of 2 or 3 and i'm thinking why on earth is that?
Sounds like a bit of a rant and i'm sorry...but it just irritates me a little bit.

New name and promotion from SA to FA - Thank you!

I just became a Featured Artist for The Sims 3 and I'm really excited about it! :)

First of all - Many thanks to TSR  and to all the people that supported me all this time! Your motivating words keep me creating on and on! Thanks to every single user that downloaded my creations! :)

And second - After a year and something that I used my ___neo___ nick-name (the same on myspace) I received the invitation from Thomas to become a FA and the words "Wanna change your name, too?" And I decided to change it to UM Creations, because I use this signature on almost all of my previews. Hope it was a good decision...

That's it for now ... :) There are three upcoming creations for October, and I hope there will be a positive response for all three. However - I will post a blog soon about them. :)

After a long time with no updates, I sat down at my computer today and submitted four new houses (there's a couple more for later in the week!) and the introduction to a new story! Yay! Here's some pics:

Veral Dining Room Remake.

Hi all! Some of you may remember/recognize my Veral Dining Room from TS2:

Well, the method I used to make the shadows and details in this set for TS2 is also the same method that is now used for TS3. Because of that, I've decided to go ahead and convert it forward to TS3 (with some slight changes and improvements!)

Here is what I have done so far (table, chairs, and sideboard). As development on Workshop comes along and we have more options, I will be adding onto this set to make it more complete.

Modest Living

Size is everything!

Well, often, that phrase is a lot of stuff and nonsense and there is too much silly pap about size in all sorts of things!

But bigger is NOT better when it comes to Sims 3 content file sizes!  If you've downloaded my latest set: Cubit Windows (pictured left), you'll see that the file sizes are now tiny, thanks to the latest Workshop version!

So my NEXT priority is to resize my last set, the Colonial windows.  I'm already a quarter of the way through this process, and I hope by the time I've finished it that the finishing touches to TSR's new 'updates' feature will be working (downloaders will be notified automatically of updates).

Update: all windows, the beer keg and the oil drum are fully resized - a big improvement!  I'm now awaiting some technical help to upload them - so everything should be with you shortly!

Life according to me vers 2 :(

Well I just had one of the longest nights ever with a very sick little dog. She´s had bloody diarrhea and vomiting all night and I was so worried that it was parvo. I just came back from the vet and it´s not (doing a little happy dance) it´s some kind of stress related food intolerance thing and she should be fine in a couple of days. It fits okay because I picked her up at the kennel thursday, I had a 3 day trip to Hungary (work), so a lot of stress and new food. It was actually the second time this month I had to drop her of at the kennel. On top of that we where at the vet last week for a scan, no puppies :(.

I had 2 birthday parties last weekend and to make things even more fun I have another 3 day trip with work in 2 weeks, but then I´ll take a week of. I do hope that I´ll get room for some simming this weekend, but we´ll see.

Edit October 2. I´m on a roll here. After a control scan to make absolutely sure that there is no puppies, my dog has decided that there is - hurrah for false pregnancy!!!

Hols Today Yay!

Off on my hols today..gonna be gone for a week..and I really hope the weather holds up. I'm really going to miss the Sims, but I'm going to take a pad of paper and hopefully pick up some inspiration for some houses to build when i get back..maybe even upload them this time. There's going to be some interesting architecture to look at especially for beach lots and period properties. I'm definately hoping to see some big old country houses and some Edwardian and Georgian houses as well as cute little beach huts. Hope you all enjoy your sims this week coming and I can't wait to get back into it next weekend.

New Lots and a lil small town humor

  Ok I sit at my desk playing my new sims 3,and then it occurs to me as I am looking at edit town that this is the first sims game that will not let you add new lots,and design your own town.So I go to forums and can't find anything,while getting frustrated I ask ea about it.Anyway long story short and with no answer where theres a will theres a way and a bulldozer lol.I do hope in the new expansion that is comming that they will put that back in for us simmers who have our own style.I love to build and create my own homes,much like the homes dotting the streets in Iowa middle america suburbia.I want my sims to live in great functional homes,as I do.I also want my towns to like like midwestern towns with all the charm and character small towns have.Some people might think i'm being silly,but I eally like my game since my kids have grown it's been my favorite past time. "AKA not into bingo and gardening"I still dont feel old enough to resign to those hobbies lol.My son who is going to be 23 in march just laughs at me when he comes over and the dinner I had promised him is still unmade cause I have gotten deeply into one of my sim families,and thinking it hasnt been long am amazed to look at the clock and its 4 hours later.So in tactful way I kindly tell him that I will cook for him,while explaining to him that its the great computer he game me for christmas ,and he should be glad I love my gift so much that I can't leave it alone lol.Now we all know I am full of bullarky,but seems feasable to me at the time lol.Well this is probably enough of my ramblings for now.Happy simming all

Sorry I've been a little slow on my creations. I just recently started a job and don't have as much time, but keep your eyes open by next friday I will have a few new creations.

Celebrate 10 years of TSR with my 2 new community lots :)

Hi All,

It's great to be finally back and what a time to return, 10 years of TSR!

I am in the middle of upgrading to a new computer, so I hadn't got the time to enter the recent screenshot competition. I didn't want to miss out on the fun, so I created 2 Community lots for you all to enjoy.

TSR Birthday Cake:- This is based on a Birthday Cake and has a super large 2nd storey function room for your Sims to party in. On the first floor is the TSR staff office, Sims games shop and toliets. There is an outside grill/barbeque area too. I have added a few of my custom walls and carpets in this lot. I have only partially furnished it, so if you wish to add some extra rooms or even rezone it into a Club, Restaurant or Hotel, you have the scope to do that.

TSR Party Plaza:- This is based on a Birthday present and has 2 large function rooms for your Sims to party in. Only 1 story, but it houses a Sims games shop and toliets. There is an outside grill/barbeque area too. I have added a few of my custom walls in this lot. Again I have only partially furnished it, so if you wish to add some extra rooms or even rezone it into a Club, Restaurant or Hotel, you have the scope to it with this lot too.

I wanted to be downloader friendly with these lots, as I know not everyone has all the expansions for The Sims 2. Both these lots are base game compatible :)

These lots are both currently pending in submissions, so hopefully they will be uploaded to the site in a few days. Don't forget to book mark me so you don't miss out.

Ohhhhh yeah!!!

I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this, but as of today, I have published one item a week for about a month now. One of my goals is to publish at least one item a week for the next year. Eleven more months to go!

What should I make next?

A clutter set, a build set maybe a livingroom, or a diningroom?What would you like to see, which type of custom content do you download for Sims 3? Your comments are really important, maybe you can see your books as a clutter item in Sims 3.Judy, JCIsette (hope I spelled it right) asked me if I could convert her real books into Sims 3.I pleasurely accepted it, and my next set will have books from sweetie Judy :)

Dutch Real Estate, Update

Hi I finnaly could connect my PC again, and started the game today, I'm working on some things right now.

Wow! I’ve been playing “catch-up,” I have spent time today reading pages of comments on my creations. Your comments made me laugh, smile, giggle, and several of them have touched my heart. Reading all your wonderful comments has made me very, very happy! It is such a joy to create objects and new meshes; however, it is a bigger pleasure to read that you enjoy my stuff.   I wish I could reply to all of your wonderful comments! I have not had the time to create or even play sims 2 in a long while.  So, it was very odd this week when I felt like clearing out my folder I keep of designs, fabrics, etc, and found myself wanting to make a bunch of walls.  So I have begun uploading what I have done so far.  They are almost all for children.  I have no idea why, it just worked out that way. Here a few previews of what I have doing..
