Almost 7K downloads, holy hell
I have to say I never expected so many downloads, and the number seems to be growing exponentially every day. You love me, you really love me! Or at least I'm passable.
I obviously should have gone into architecture in school, because the only part of the sims I enjoy is churning out houses left right and centre. I log in with the firm intention on getting that promotion and before i know it i'm working on another house.
My recent series on Mount Royal houses seems to be doing quite well, which pleases me to no end as I spend a lot of time up there admiring the homes and trying to ferret out the history behind them.
I guess in short, I'm awaiting 7K downloads with baited breath, and thank you to everyone for giving my creations a chance :)

Memory problems?
I've just completed and uploaded the first batch of a new series of patterns. Each batch of patterns will be inspired by one of the traits in the Sims 3 game. I've started at the beginning of the alphabet with "absent-minded" - the patterns uploaded include "post-it" style notes stuck to a textured wall, forget-me-nots, and elephants (who never forget), plus some more plain patterns to match the themed ones. Hope you all enjoy these patterns, let me know what you think of them!
Lot builders take note - I've set some of the more plain patterns as TSRAA because I thought they might be particularly useful for use in your lots! Any of my patterns which say TSRAA: yes on the pattern page can be freely used in lots you upload to TSR.

I know I said I'd get new recolored lamps out. I'm trying to get the prview images done but it's very hard when I have a new game to mess around with so I'll try to get the 13 different colored lamps up next week.

Hiya all
After reading the comments I got on my latest submissions, I wanna clear something.
These lots are not CC (costum content) for the Sims 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This goes for the following lots:
- View Bookstore
- Riverview Sunshine Spa
- Riverview Bistro
- River Front Hospital
- River Cinema - View Theater
- Daily River
- RivervVew School
- Riverview City Hall
- Riverview Store
The parks are also working like the've always worked.
There seemed to be some misunderstanding regarding these lots.
Like some of you know I replaced/deleted some of the orginal community lots that EA games put into Riverview.
I did this because I wanted to build a residential property on locations that contained community lots.
But by deleteing some of these lots I had to build new ones in return in order to make my town work the same way EA games meant it to be played. after I submited some screenshots I got requests to upload these lots to TSR. So I did.
I hope I cleared this little misunderstanding enough, if any of you have questions feel free to ask.

Hey all, just wanted to give you an update, I have more clothing coming soon, mostly Military and Irish stuff, but I am working on some NBA, NHL, and MLB stuff as well as some bomber jackets for all branches of the Military, I hope you are enjoying my creations and the Sims 3, and as always...Happy Simming!

In Development: PlusModo Designer Kitchen Set
As you may know from my last blog post, I am currently learning object meshing. I've definately grasped the hang of 3D now, but I've still got loads to learn. I'm pleased to say that I'm getting along nicely with meshes for a Designer Kitchen. Based upon PlusModo, a kitchen by PoggenPohl, the set will include:

I may upload some preview shots soon. At the moment, I've just got the meshes (I've done the 5 Counters so far), and am waiting for the new version of Object Workshop to come out in order to make them ready for the game.

Computer Woes
Hello all,
My hard-drive died!! I have not been able to get on for so long and I am posting from another computer right now. I am fighting to save the many Sims2 creations I have been working on--including my 'Luxury Beach House' I was hoping to upload next. Boo-hoo (tears and more tears)! I am trynig not to throw up. The computer tech is going to try and retrieve the main folders: characters, neighborhoods, and my lots folder so I am hoping not all will be a loss. I will be back as soon as I am able! Missing everyone!!! ... tey
Under my thumbs
I see that some do like the alteration I did with the long hair with a wide wrap so I have decided to do another alteration with this mesh. This time the wrap is even wider and the hair is going to be short. Here is a picture from CAS, the hair looks a bit not to my liking so it still needs some work. I hope I will be ready to upload it for the weekend. I'm also doing another hair but I have no picture of it.
I have uploaded the last earrings for a while. Hopefully when the next version of the workshop I can import the new earrings I have ready. Until then I'll make something else, maybe a couple of lots too.

No room for community lots?
I've been asked a few times now why a particular community lot cannot be placed anywhere.
Community spaces are a bit scarce in Sims neighbourhoods, and if you have a community lot you want to place, you need to convert a residential space into a community space. Unlike Sims 2, it is very simple to do in Sims 3.
1. Start The Sims
2. From the menu, select Edit Town
3. Click on the lot or space you wish to convert. It needs to be the same size or bigger than the lot you want to place.
4. Click the icon that looks like half a house and half a bench (shown by the red arrow). This toggles your lot between residential and community.
And that's it! Some community lots play equally well as residential lots, so you can convert those too if you wish.
Oh no!! Help pls!!
OMG! I just deleted my screenshots on the Sims 3 launcher and I didn't realize that it deletes them in the screenshots folder too!! Arrgghhh, I'm such an idiot!! I'm so bummed that this has happened. I had some great screenshots that I wanted to use for my stories and now...well....I don't know. :(
Does anyone know if it's possible at all to retreve them somehow?? Surely there is a way?? Surely I don't have to go back and retrace my sims steps again??

Our new kitty
Well, it finally happened! We swore we wouldn't get any pets for awhile, especially since we aren't allowed to have pets here where I live, one of our neighbors from the complex next to us got a cute kitten about 3 months ago. This little cat showed up on our fence one day, stuck, and mewing for help to get down. I got him down, and brought him in, and promptly fell in love with him. He started coming around as often as he could, and has been neglected and ingored in the two months since they have had him, so he has adopted us, and we adopted him, we can't stand to see an animal go hungry, and being neglected, and now we refuse to give him back. We have named him Escape, which fits him prefectly. He is a beautiful little kitty, he is loving and sweet, and his eyes are crossed a bit, which just makes him cuter! He does have a tiny problem, when he is upset or nervous, he likes to nurse on our ears!!!!! LOL 
A fantastic Sim!
I don't watch TV, although I know Star Trek of old.
So when I saw THIS fella, I recognised Spock immediately! Probably the only character I DO know from any sci-fi TV series, and he has become the first ever Sim I have ever downloaded in Sims 1, 2 or 3!
Despite this dubious honour, Mr Spock is unfortunately not going to be seeing any amazing adventures in outer-space until I see my way to building some outlandishly ridiculous sci-fi lot. Instead, he has the dubious honour of being my chief lot tester with idiotic "now try THESE stairs for me" missions instead.
But isn't he just awesome? You should hear his voice too! A Sim that truly does look even better in the game than in Create-A-Sim!
Congratulations asakurastar for such a brilliant Sim!
Save Spock from menial lot testing today by downloading him from here - works perfectly in the default game and he's totally free too!
Wild Weather
We had some wild weather in Victoria last night (in Australia, for those that aren't sure where I'm talking about). I was typing away on my computer at work and it was getting windier and wilder outside, some people started leaving for the day because they have a long commute home. Never did I think that maybe I should have left early too.
Driving home on the M3 (freeway lol) on the way to feed my horse. The wind was trying it's hardest to push my car off the rd. I had to hold on tighter than normal to the steering wheel. I arrive at the paddock and it starts to rain heavier and then hail is pouring down too. I want to get this over and done with so I exit my vehicle and procceed to change into my gumboots and sort of waterproof jacket. Suddenly there is no time to change I have to get to shelter, the wind has picked up and the rain/hail is getting heavier. 'This is crazy' I think. I run to the small shed which is like 5mtrs away and I slip over! Ha ha yes I fell in the mud! Your all laughing now and yes it was funny for a sec. I curse and run to the corner of the shed. My heart is beating fast and I feel a bit shaky. The horse feed bucket has fallen over, my gloves, the feed and scoop have fallen out. I run to pick these items up and quickly chuck them in the bucket. The weather is not holding back it feels like there is a hurricane going over the top of me. There are claps of thunder and I see lightening in the sky. I look up to my horses paddock and he is not in his shed. Silly horse. He has his head hung low and the wind is almost pushing him over. Branches are literaly blowing off the gum trees. Finally it calms for a bit....actually calm isn't the right word. The rain continues but the hail stops and the wind isn't as harsh. I run up the lane way, then run up the paddock to safety in my horses shed. He gets his feed and I race back down to the car. On the way home there are trees fallen down on almost every rd I pass. Motorists are having to swerve from the branches and trees that have fallen. My driveway is in sight and the automatic garage door goes up. I give a massive sigh and am happy to safely arrive home and be ALIVE!
This was the worst storm I have ever experienced therfore I would like to know of anyone else's 'wild weather' experience's.

Update Story/ Lots
Hiya all
I've just finished the story and submited it I hope you'll like it.
I've also finished most of the community area's, Workplaces, Commercial property's the first 6 should be out tomorrow and later this week 6 others. In my creation of riverview I also added the Dinner and Criminal workplaces that I created earlier they also can be found on my page.
The lots that I've already created can be found in my first story aswell that'was the whole idea behind idea of creating a new Riverview. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did when I created them.

Still Busy
I'm sorry I haven't had much for you lately. Been pulled in too many directions. I think I'll probably be out of commission at least for the next week or so. After then I'll do my best to get something new to you. Sorry for the delay, but it is unavoidable. It'll be over before you know it.
Fresh Install and Pattern itis
I bit the bullet and did a fresh install this weekend. Since I was cleaning 'house' on the computer as it was, this also meant I was digging through old folders and files to decide what I might want to archive. Low and behold I found a slew of patterns and stencils and brushes and plugins and... tons of goodies I forgot even had.
So... who cares about cleaning anything when its more fun to fire up the various graphic programs and play?
A new neighborhood was started and while Dep Pocketz was running about stealing everything in sight so he could eat on his empty lot on one screen, on the other I was busy combining and destroying and muttering about incompatible plug ins.
All in all a very productive weekend.
Object Meshing Here I Come!
I've decided that I am going to create objects for TS3 when the new workshop comes out. While I was away I did alot of planning for a kitchen set that will go into sims 3. I've already created a few of the meshes and am using this tutorial to create the objects ready for TSR worshop when it is released.
I'll keep you all up to date with what happens.

Since my community park "Maywood Gardens Park" has done so well and you guys have given me such positive and great feedback, I have decided to do another park just for you! "Liberty Central Park" will have all the amenities and all the entertainment to suit any simmers needs. Its gonna be based off of the same design theme as "Maywood Gardens Park", but with its own elegance! I will upload it and hopefully have it published tomorrow or the next day :). Hi everyone, I have just uploaded more patterns for the Sims 3 and some walls and floors for the Sims 2, I do not know when as yet they will be published, so keep your eyes open and happy doenloading.
The White House
I'll probably never get to visit the White House in Washington, but I sure can visit every corner of it in the game!
I've spent considerable time searching the internet for house plans and pictures of the White House. I still had to make lots of modifications, as not even the biggest Sims2 lot was large enough to house the Residence, West Wing and East Wing in their actual shapes and sizes.
My White House residence has 2 floors and no basement, and both wings have one floor only. As there are no descriptions and very few pictures available of the East Wing, I transformed it into a recreation area. The bowling alley that should be in the basement of the residence is moved here, as is the game room that should be in the residence top floor. The movie theater should be in the east corridor but did not fit there, so it was also relocated to the East Wing. Another problem is that the East Wing entrance should face east, but as there wasn't space enough, I had to turn it north instead.
The West Wing is compressed and includes only the central features: the Cabinet room and, of course, the Oval Office. The Press briefing room is in the west corridor. I couldn't fit in the palm room, so it is moved to the east corridor instead.
Have you noticed that the Residence is 2 floors high from the north side and 3 floors high from the south side (not counting the top floor on the roof)? I simply kept the 2 floors that are seen from the north. My ground floor includes the entrance hall, the cross hall, the East room, the Green room, the Blue room, the Red room, and the State dining room. The family dining room is moved upstairs. Other rooms upstairs include the Truman balcony, the west and east bedrooms, the Queen's bedroom (now the family gym), east and west sitting halls, the Lincoln bedroom (now a study), the Yellow oval room and the master bedroom. The presidential living room and the Treaty room are missing.
I've tried to keep to the actual color schemes (even though these seem to change with each president). At times I couldn't find Maxis walls and floors that were close enough to the original ones, so I made my own.
The main reason as to why I didn't build the top floor was that it didn't look good in the game. The actual roof balustrad is so high so you hardly see the top floor, but in the game I couldn't find a solution that would work. However, I but an elevator here so that your simmies can visit the roof anyhow. At least your Secret Service simmies will like to keep an eye on the surroundings from the roof top.
As for the exterior, I did make the Rose garden, but not the Jacqueline Kennedy garden, for the simple reason that your garderner would be overworked. I put a dog house both front and back, in case you want to have Bo in your game.
I re-zoned the lot because I first tought it should be a public lot, men then changed it back, losing the mailbox. Sorry about that...

More earrings coming
While learning more in the Workshop I've started another set with earrings. Here is the first pair or should I say, the earrings are going to be separate. Left and right ear.
It is a bit hard to find new shapes of the hoops but I think I can come up with some more for you. This set will come later during the week.

Trees? Trees!
I successfully modified the Italian pine tree! I made it shorter and a bit wider. This is currently only a replacement because no programm can yet clone trees/shrubbery correctly. This is also why the textures aren't changed.
The foliage sways correctly in the wind and also the lower detail mesh works. This tree modding is currently very experimental! Also due to the special software used (a demo, very limited) it's very unlikely we're going to see many new custom trees/shrubbery. :(
Finaly meshing again..
Oh wow, how great it is to be meshing for sims3. It won't be long before Workshop is ready for new sims 3 meshes. It needs some more adjusting but gladly most stuff is solved already. Woot! to the whole TSR team working on this tool. Easy to use and adjust your textures and meshes..
Anyway some previews will be here soon!
Will Be Away for a While
I'll be having a bit of a hiatus in building as school work has started to pile up.... but no worries though, I have not deserted the game completely! Hehehe...

Okay - so I DID make a lot of excited screaming noises in the background. Now shushed. But GREAT NEWS FOR BUILDERS!
Early days, but the first object I made with the in-beta-this-week Object Workshop (a bad lamp not even worthy of picturing) DOES actually package properly with uploaded lots!!! That's the first time I've been able to upload a lot with a custom object inside it! All my previous objects (experiments) have refused because they were installed as .package files rather than Sims3Packs. Failures included stairs, windows - even terrain paints. But it seems a Sims3Pack installs content properly, and is picked up by lots when they're shared.
I am one very happy builder! Kudos to the TSR developers for what is looking to be a fantastic object creation program.
