Back to Sims 2

Well after playing Sims 3 for awhile, I decided to go back to Sims 2. Sims 3 to me is a great game, fast loading, Homes are a breeze to make, and it's nice to match anything to go with your home. In aspects I find it great game, which I will go back to from time to time. My turn off is the way the neighborhood plays out, families around you age faster than the one you are playing. I went back to Sims 2, because I like the way the game plays, the sims look better, and i can control them. yes the loading time is a pain, but i can deal with it. Sims 3 gave me new ideas and new creations to bring to the Sims 2 world. look for new homes, or maybe making Sims again.

Hey, everyone!

I must say I'm very glad alot of people enjoy my creations. I'll keep making more, I promise, as soon as my computer get fixed. Maybe some of you have been wondering what are my next projects. Well, I just uploaded my first makeup to TSR - Lipgloss (with teeth! :D) for your sims in sims 3.

I decided I'm going to make famous-people-look-a-like sims. You can comment your requests in this post.

For now I'll try to make: Dr. House , Edward Cullen, Bella Swan (Twilight) ; Britney Spears ; Katy Perry. Oh and maybe Avril Lavigne. =P

Back to the good old days...

I'm just installing Sims 2 on my desktop again...fancied trying out some of the challenges on TSR. I'm also about to install the original Sims on my laptop for when I go on holiday :) Haven't played it for years and thought it was time to revisit it!

Ok, as well as Michael Scofield and the alien sim I have made a house over looking the sea. This is for a small family, with 2 bedrooms or a bedroom and an office. It over looks the sea, and has a pond in the back garden.

I have also made my twins again, I hope you all like them.  It's just a pity I can't put the trait Terrible Twos in there :P

An Introduction

Hello everyone! I decided that I would let you guys know me a bit better, whether you even care or not. First off, my name is Christian and I am currently 20 years old. I am California raised and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I am currently a college student but it feels like a sort of limbo right now. I don't think I am ever going to graduate because well, I can't stick to one major and I feel like a lame ass just going with "Liberal Arts". I spend the majority of my time dancing and singing - I should just be a musical theatre major but no one ever goes anywhere with that; well, a very small percentage that is. Plus, I am a horrible actor. Haha. I love, love, love watching television like you don't even know. Unfortunately I am rarely home because I am usually out with friends, working out at the gym, at school or something. So mostly everything ends up on my DVR. I have always been addicted to The Sims since the very first one was released and I have been loyal to the game ever since. It's probably the only game I have consistently played - and isn't a waste of money like my XBOX360. I have been creating custom content for the games since TS1 and actually owned a site that grew to be fairly popular, Strike A Pose. At some point I decided to close it because TS1 just got kind of lackluckster for me. During the period of TS2 I didn't do much creating though I released a few items on forums and such every now and again. You might have seen me around as "Coco Charlotte" formerly "Cluck Norris" - you may also know me from Acorn Rack sites because I have a love of writing and roleplaying. Cough, nerd alert! I also enjoy comic books, videos games (obvi) and creating arts and crafts. I am like, a grandmother in training only a guy. Haha. Anywho, I am back in The Sims community again creating TS3 creations and I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them!

Hi Friends!

If I could, I would give my kudo's to people who really need them....for instance to get stuff...a banner...or the poll feature.. I would love to be able to customize my minisite more, but I tink that's only for the SA and FA artists. I have alot of kudo's I have no use for... Maybe TSR can do something about that???

Sims 2 Poll Results

A liitle over a month ago, I started a poll. The question I asked was, "Are You Still Playing Sims 2?"

I was surprised by the results, the majority of people who answered my poll are still playing Sims 2! (see results below)

The reason I started the poll was to determine whether I should continue creating new custom content for Sims 2, or to just concentrate my creative energy on Sims 3. 

Well, looking at the poll results, made deciding what to do a lot easier! I will continue to create for Sims 2, while I am learning how to blow up meshes...er, I mean create for Sims 3!

So far, I created several patterns and modified a dress mesh for Sims 3. I'm still waiting for tools to be developed, so that I can easily create new objects for Sims 3,*crosses fingers* I hope it will be very soon!

WHAT'S NEW!

I have finished my Traditional Kitchen set, I just need to beta test the set's large appliances. Hopefully, they will pass with "flying colors" and I can publish the set by the end of August or early September 2009.

My Weird Sim...

I was making a sim to continue on a series of mine from the Sims 2, and I picked 'Random Traits' and it happened to be THE WEIRDEST. I happened to get:

• Family Oriented
• Evil
• Bookworm
• Heavy Sleeper
• Slob

Taking A Break

This will be very disappointing for some, but for the next year I am taking a break from creating. The end of this month marks the beginning of my final year in university and I need to focus on that.

Of course, this will be horrible, terrible news for the people still waiting on the remainder of my Manor House Collection sets and those recolors of the MH Kitchen I promised. My decision is based on the fact that school will always come first for me. With this being my last year, I cannot afford distractions.

Now, what will happen after I have my diploma in hand? I have no earthly clue.
It depends on how much I miss creating. Also, I'm sure that the pool of Sims 2 players will shrink considerably in the time I'm gone, probably due to the 2 or 3 TS3 EPs that will have been released during that time. So, my decision will also hinge upon what level of interest there is in Sims 2 objects.

I'm not retiring, though. At least not now. But, I can't say I'm definitely coming back, either. What I am sayin is, just don't expect anything from me in the coming months (I say expect because I might post some things here and there during holidays, but that isn't a promise).

I love making sims

I love making sims. Unfortunatelly one can't be a selected/featured artist at TSR just by making sims...shame on me...I should learn how to make other things, then...but for now I'm very happy just to make my sims, play with them and share with people who like them

Raining Again!

Well, I've booked a Summer Holiday down in Cornwall, and I guess if its nice weather it will be a miracle...rained again yesterday and still raining today..yay! I don't think British people are against rain in general, we get alot less than some countries, we just seem to have it all the time, most days. I'm playing yet another gardening sim, I think my eighth now and I'm getting pretty good at getting gardening skills up pretty quick and getting perfect veggies. I think I may like gardening in the sims!! Maybe one reason is because I live in a flat and I don't have a garden and I'd love one. I'd be growing all sorts, strawberries, lettuce, potatoes...and being self sufficent is an important thing nowadays what with the economy being what it is and the general lack of food globally. Anyway I hope all you simmers out there have a great weekend.

August Already

I can't believe it's August already, It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating the new year of 09 and now we only have 4 months left before we celebrate again. Each year just seems to fly past quicker than the last. I remember when I was a kid and the summer holidays felt as if they lasted years and now I feel as If I haven't even had a holiday and I've been off for 8 weeks..feels like 8 days lol.

One more week left before I have to go back to college and start my 2nd year there :( It's not exactly something I love doing but I need to go otherwise I won't get into the kind of job I wanna do.

Anyway I'll stop ranting..lol

Peagreen Cottage

As promised, here are a couple of screenshots of my first TS3 house, Peagreen Cottage.  After many hours of frustration trying to get the roof just right, the house is finally nearing completion.  Thank-you to cyclonesue for the wonderful roof tutorial!!!

My husband is recently retired and requires constant care and feeding...LOL which makes it difficult for me to find time to play the Sims these days, so no promises about when the house will be finished.  Comments are welcome!

There's Nothing Like A Mother's Love

Okay so I have finally started to write a story, I have read so many fantastic stories on this website that I was inspired to write one of my own. I have called my story: There's Nothing Like A Mother's Love because it is about an Alien sim who does anything to protect her unborn Alien baby and make sure that it arrives happy and healthy. Even if this mean that she will have to do the only one thing she think she cannot....that is let Sims see her..after all she is green and is from another planet, It's not as if the Sims see that everyday =]

Well I currently have the Intro and Chapter One up and I hope everyone likes it xx Chapter Two will come soon.

NEW RELEASE - UM Bootcut jeans

Few days ago I finished my first pair of jeans. They have a new mesh that makes the upper part thinner, and the bottom larger - makes sexy legs :) However, hope you like them. Let me know!

What should I play!

Yay!

Yay! A technician came to my place today and my computer is fixed :D :D Hopefully nothing will need fixing again for awhile! Now I can play Sims and write my stories without worrying I'm going to lose everything....;)

2 New Sims coming soon

Michael Scofield has now been uploaded and should be on his way very soon, a bit later than I would of liked. My power supply in my computer blew, so no computer for me for a while..which didn't help when Scofield was sat there waiting to be put on TSR.

Not sure why it blew, we put it down to my 2 little ones getting access to my computer when I was busy helping our eldest chid. Don't think my machine liked being switched on and off half a billion times...ahh the joy of twins.

Oh and I have also made an alien, I have no idea why...it just happened. It is based on the Greys, but with no slider hack it is a bit hard to get the slanted eyes all the way to the side of his/her/its head. Please forgive the clothes on this one, I was little stuck when it came to PJ's and swimwear. I have never seen an alien, let alone know what it wears for a dip in the pool or snooze time. :D

55,000 and slower going up

I am soooooo disappointed but happy, I have reached 55thousand...

what i'm upset about: I cant seem to upload my sets, the system is stupid, and wont pick up the items, I asked for help from the system runners but they came back with: due to the system changes it may have been a bit shifty, but should be ok now... well its not and they are still not uploading, and still my questions werent answered!!

I'm making a new set and am going to attempt a few one off items... and see how I go, just to keep going!! My partner is going to TAFE (Training Course - Deisel Fitting) so will be away for two weeks, plenty of time for me to create things -

So I was in this super big hurry and I pretty much bought the sims 3 the second day it was out haha....welll now i sorta kinda dislike the graphics with every piece of my soul haha! any agree with me?

Urban Tranquility

Well I've taken the plunge and uploaded my first lot.  Urban Tranquility will be available on Aug 13th.  As a single story lot with 2 bedrooms and open plan it is one of my favourite lots that Ive designed and a pleasure to play. Sims 3

I am having such a good time playing Sims 3 that I've not been building as much! Sims 3 is totally awesome! My family is outgrowing my "Georgia" Lot that they've been living in so I'll have to create something else for them, maybe tomorrow.. This is such a great stress reliever! I just love it! :)

What's coming?

I'm currently working on those windows below for Sims 3. :) They will soon become available for download when the Workshop is ready to produce object meshes.

There will be probably also doors and door frames. ;)
