AHHH... Having Trouble uploading

Can anyone help me, I am new to all this and cant work out why this is happening, the totorials dont help!!

1. I try to upload a set, it comes back saying the file name must contain the word collection... I name EVERYTHING collection!!

2. I tried to upload some eye recolours, that just gets rejected saying I need a in game image!! So where do I put Swatch.bmp image, in the zip folder... Cuz I tell you know, I cant put them in the same folder for 4 differnt images named the same...

Do I put it in preview image... I dont think sooo, Cuz that should only be a preview of the item!!

or what about the animated GIF image area?? I have given that a go! see if that works

Moving to Forum

So anyways, since TSR is having enough trouble with the submissions, I decided to move my stories in the forum instead. That'll somehow lighten their load right? XDD

Sims

I just wanted to take time out to say that I am really truly excited about the upcoming release of The Sims 3. My 23rd birthday is coming up and I really hope my wonderful fiancee gets it for me. And it better be the collection's edition. Haha. Just kidding. Anyways, I already have some ideas about what I am going to create. A small family. A single man. Some roomies. My mind is just reeling. I was watching an episode of One Tree Hill today and one of the character was playing the new Sims. Super jealous. Well, I guess that is all for now. More later. I'll write about the families and people I plan to create. Oh and why is it that I like to create and design male Sims over female? I have no idea. 

Trying my hand at Lots

I submitted my first lot today.. It was approved and will publish on Thursday, May 14. I hope you like it. It is on a small 2x3 lot, but it has quite a bit of rooms. It is mainly maxis content, but there is a little CC in the furnished version.

The windows and doors are Creations by Angelas'- Intension Buildset-Recolored for the lot, the offset columns are by Cyclonesue, the walkway in the front is a weathered board terrain paint by tamlfra,the nursery is Ricci2882s' Mala Kids nursery, the bunkbed bedroom set is by Pure Elements and the LG refrigerator is is by FreshPrince from MTS2.

The furnished version shows a laundry room in the back of the house, that is by Cashcraft and needs to be downloaded separately if you wish to have it in the house. I thought it added a nice touch, and the dryer actually spins.

I am sooooooo Happy that I have had 5,000 People download my creations (dont have that many thanks and comments) But who cares, this is like a milestone to me!!

This gives me the motivation to keep going with my creations. At the moment I am working on eye collection! there are some really nice colours I am putting together. In pending I have a set of four just for starters. which are simple bright colours that I found (They are Real colours you can get in contacts) Cool...

Any whom... Once I have got to about... Hmmm 5!! Sets I will try to moce towards more jamies!! Something I anticipate starting soon!! Wish me luck!! :)

The picture seems fuzzy, but my model is wearing the Violet contacts. They look great in the game!!

Mission Match Recolors

I have had a few requests for build items - doors, windows, fences, gates, etc. I will start working on them. I have done some but will add more including fences/gates. It may take a little while. I still have other requests, too, that I have not fulfilled yet. So, please be patient. Hopefully, I will get some good days and get some work done, LOL! Being permanently ill with no hope of recovery, just continued gradual deterioration, SUCKS! Trust Me!!

Thanks to all who continually support me by downloading and commenting on my recolors. I really appreciate it and it warms my heart daily. Thank you for that. Sorry for not replying to your comments, I am saving my computer time for recoloring. I do read them all, you guys are great.

I've won a contest on the official Dutch Sims 2 site!

I've won a contest on the official Dutch Sims 2 site! I had to say why I'm a big fan of the Sims, and so I did. And yes! I (and 3 others) have won! This means a lot to me, because I'm invited to the Sims 3 Fan Fest in Utrecht in Holland on May the 15th. I'll meat MJ Chun, which is one of the Sims 3 producers. She is going to demonstrate the Sims 3 so we can play it! I'll make a full blog about this soon on www.simsshine.com, so you guys know exactly what have happened up there!

I lost Akemi's hood and I lost her. She was the only sim I didn't backup....I'm so upset...I'm trying very hard to remake her. but it's not the same thing....

Legacy?

So, I'm trying to start a legacy but I had no idea how hard it would be, I'm a very impatient person and this takes a lot of time. If anyone still watches me I'll post a blog about it or I'll put up screen shots if it works :D

Just wanted to let you know I got Sims2 again indeed! With all expansions. It's so much fun again!

Although I don't have much time for it... right now I can't really play and won't have time to create anything either of course, but I'm not in a hurry... I know I'll go on simming for years ;-)

I'm so happy I decided against Sims3 - I read many more news I didn't like at all. If they won't change the basic programming with an expansion pack (and that's a nearly impossible thing to do I guess) I won't play Sims3 at all - ever. I mean - the way I understand it is either the whole neighbourhood is aging - or nobody at all. So either you're missing lots of days in those families you don't play at that moment - or your sims will never age. Now that s***!! 

I'll just stay with Sims2 until Sims4 comes out ;-))

Stupid scratched disk......

Hello everyone. Just reporting here to share my troubles with my copy of the second disk of the Sims 2 base game. Unfortunately, when I went to reinstall my game, it had trouble with Disk 2 (who am I kidding? It's BEEN having trouble with this disk!). Since it has been giving me such a headache and has been hurting some objects in my game, I'm considering just waiting until the release of The Sims 3 to create and upload anything new here, since it's coming out in about three weeks anyway. This makes me sad, because I wanted to be able to actually play through generations JUST ONCE in the Sims 2, which I've never brought myself to do. Whenever the Sim representing myself dies, I get depressed and think of a new storyline, then just start myself and everyone else all over again, instead of playing the generation game. Sad! But that's going to be my new mission with the Sims 3 - play the game through and expand my town, and make more custom content in the process! So stay tuned for some custom content when the new game comes out and us creators have figured out the new nuances to building custom content with the new game. I'm also excited to hear how your own playing goes. Take care, everyone, and thanks for bearing with me!

Taking a Break

I've decided to take a break from creating for a while. Everything is getting just a little bit too much! I keep getting problems with taking snapshots in TS2, I cant get Any Game Starter to work... and many more things. I've decided to dedicate my time now to actually playing TS2, and planning for The Sims 3. I will be back to create when The Sims 3 comes out.

Neighbourhood Poll Results

Just letting everyone know the results from my neighbourhood poll. It seems that Pleasantview is the neighbourhood most played in. Bluewater Village came in second and Strangetown close in third. Belladonna Cove came in fourth, with Veronaville and Desiderata Valley equal fifth. Last but not least was Riverblossum Hills.

I'm not really surprised at Pleasantview being played in the most. After all it is a great town and is the first neighbourhood in the main menu in the game. Strangetown I have hardly ever played in, I think maybe the terrain has always put me off. I prefer the greener pastures like Bluewater Village, Riverblossum Hills and Belladonna Cove.

Mamma mia

Oh, long time no see.

Right now im watching Mamma Mia, i just love this movie. I want to be on that island. It seems so wonderful. I can't wait until August when we'r leaving for Greece.

This weekend iv played more ts2 than i usually do. But iv found out that i only like to make the families and build their home. And after that im starting a new family and build a new house... and so on

Nouveau Kitchens

Sorry but when I submitted the JSF Nouveau Kitchen sets the previews were not working and I did not realize that it showed that all items needed Bon Voyage. They do not, the items that require it, are the paintings. All other items with the exception of the roman shades and area rug (these two areTSR meshes) are base game and the bar stool is night life.  Again I am sorry I didn't catch that.  Enjoy!

What Happened? =[

First of all I'm sick of my game crashes. Second, I'm trying all I could to get my stories rolling. Third, why didn't TSR update for the last three days? I wasn't able to access it too for the past three days until now too.

I check everyday to see if any progress happened, but eh - sad to say, I'm pretty disappointed. Then again, what's the big deal? It's just a lame Sims story...yeah I guess, maybe. But I need practice and a lot of feedback to get myself better at writing. So yes, I need this.

*sigh* I hope some progress will happen tomorrow. They better put it up too before my Lazy-Ass Syndrome gets to me. And boy, even I don't want that to happen. Lorelei is such a good story.

ALSO, the keywords thingy SUCKS. It interferes too much.

Prewiev Pictures Trouble

Hi guys..I had an update on april 30. then I update a formal set and 1 floor set - 1 wall (brick) set.

today I got a message from admin..my prewiev pictures are missing.. so no update this week..I am so sad about that..

One of my first recolor submissions published!

After being a subscriber for 6 years to TSR, I finaly submitted by first recolors. I have only submitted residential lots and a couple of pets in the past.  My recolor of Holy Simoly's Arizona set was published and is now ready for download. I used Selina012's textures she submitted to Texture Challenge #136.  Here is a photo of my pubished submission.  I plan on making more recolor submissions. I have also submitted Wall and Floor sets that have been approved and are scheduled to be published 5/8 & 5/9.

I know, not anything to be proud of compared to all you great creators... But for me the first timer, its a great achievment and I am proud of myself. Cant wait to hit 2500 Kudos as I will finally be able to change the colour of my profile... yay!!

I love all your comments, unfortunatly my computer plays up and tells me there is an error everytime I try to view them and reply!! so sorry!! I do appreciate them all... even comments on my screenshots! really!! so very unfortunate I cant get back to you! Sometimes there is a miricle and I can view and write back... but very rare!!

So now I will celebrate my success with 2,000 downloads. Yay! I have got more upcoming downloads. as I showed in my last blog. So there is 10 more on there way that includes meshes, sets and individual items.

Problem with Glamour Set

Just a short snippet from a story I'm working on, don't know if I should make it into a sims story yet. Let me know what you think....

My heart was beating a mile a minute as I slowly passed the nurses station with my head down under the hood of my jacket. I kept following a series of hallways, the alarm still in the background. "Hey you!" I heard as I turned a corner. Screw the jogging, I ran. I bolted as fast as I could with a large orderly slowly following behind. My heart was beating so fast I thought it would jump out. "Stop that guy!!" He yelled puffing heavily. I turned my head around to see how far behind he was. Big mistake. He was a couple of metres behind me holding a syringe in his hand. I turned back around to see where I was going, and was about to run at full pelt when I crashed into another particularly large and muscley orderly. I fell to the floor immediately feeling kind of woosy, then I got quickly pulled up to my feet. I tried to fight him and continue running, but he quickly put me in a head lock. I yelled out, thrashing against the orderly's grip, but he only tightened it. I yelled out again, but got a sudden long, sharp prick in the side of my neck. My vision went blurry again as the ground rushed to my face......

New life.....for now

Well, I have recently lost my job due to downsizing thanks to the great economic crisis of the US. Thank so much George Bush!!!   So for now, I am a housewife, which is really not my cup of tea, as I go a little stir crazy.  I have never lost my job and I have never been without a job unless it was through my choosing. But, at least it is giving me time to spend with my daughter which I normally do not get a lot of. 

Needless to say, 2009 has created a lot of struggle for me; my father passed away, my cat died, my dog died, my Uncle passed away, and I lost my job. I am wandering now what is waiting around the corner for me next. Much more can't go wrong, right? Except financial ruin and stress on my marriage to name a few.  Oh crap, I am sounding cynical!

Enough of the depressing crap! I am hoping to have little time to get in my game and maybe finally post something here on TSR.  I can't believe how plain my profile is. I need to at least update my AV, I've had the same one forever.

I am currently beginning a huge building project in my game. I working on building houses based on the Twilight Trilogy books and the movie, however, not the Cullen house from the movie it is untrue to the book and plenty of other people have done it. This project was inspired by Tribecca  at http://www.tribeccasims2.com/ and her project. I will at least possibly post pictures of my completed houses, I am not sure yet if I will offer them as downloads anywhere, I haven't decided if I want to go through the hassle of that yet.

Hello again, all! I am so absent-minded that I almost forgot the painting recolors... Besides, I am making my own "magazine". I mean, it's not a real mag, just a "small" project by me that I make on my laptop. :D and it takes some time to get it ready for my friends to see it. And it would also be nice to make more Marimekko wallpapers with those pretty new spring season patterns. Oh, and there are two girls coming to my home all the way from France on Saturday, and they will be here for about a week... So, I will be quite busy with them, I guess ; ) not that kind of "busy"...

Stories of Hampshire - :-D

Hello Everyone, I admit i have never really done stories on tsr before, I end up having so many bugs in my game that i have to delete the family and start again. However the Hampshire Storyline is going fantastic.

I have new families that will soon be moving into the neighbourhood. And Will continue with the John Smith and Slater family stories.

Thoughts on The Sims 3

Can you believe there is only 25 days until the Sims 3 is released?

I'm so excited for it, everything just looks so cool with it. Like the fact we can have babies in hospital and at home, and they come wrapped in a blanket or towl as they put it. There has been some debate over whether we will have any pushchairs/prams in the game, I saw on a vid that someone said a baby could be put in a "trolley" but then on an interview they said there wouldn't be any in game, you just carry the toddlers, so the jury's out on that one.

The CASt looks amazing, and I really do think it will mean less CC for my game, my laptop will be happy lol, I don't know about you but the majority of my CC is recolours - so if we can recolour stuff ourselves, we'll only really have to download CC if we can't work out how to get the exact style we want, and someone can.

I love the fact the neighbourhood is seamless - I get so fed up with the blue loading screens, yes it means that I can read a chapter of my book, but it is annoying if you're in a hurry, and the fact we have no loading screens is amazing, we just zoom in to a sim, and then zoom out, and zoom in on another sim. I'm wondering exactly how transport works like does a pop up come up saying where do you want to go or do you in the case of walkin just see where the path takes you?

I forgot that we'll have wind as well, not full blown weather but wind that blows, I wonder if it will effect the sims, I could just see a business man hanging on to dear life to his hat while trying to stay upright. And 28 types of trees - wow that is a lot - I might jut stare at them for a while.

Add to that the CAS - the fact we have ore customisation - I'm sure I'm not the only one that is head over heels in joy because we can finally change the shoes separately to the trousers, and we can CASt them as well - I mean yay EA - I love you I really do! We can effectively make converse shoes of any pattern or rocket dogs - I think that's the make. I am annoyed we only have straight hair but this is only the base game, looking at the hair that came in the sims 2 base game, it's not that good, and to be honest I very rarely use it, I prefer the creative talents of raonsims & xmsims - whic is where the majority of my CC hair is from, so hopefully future expansions they'll give us some different varieties. But then again if we can layer and change the colours of each part, maybe we won't need anymore, who knows.

The clothes look amazing - getting back to CASt again - any pattern on any part of the clothing *passes out in shock* How many times have you downloaded a CC outfit that the only difference with the other CC is that the top colour is different, I have many times and the fact we can customise it ourselves makes all the difference.

Getting to the actual gaming, the trait systems seems to be a really good idea, I cannot wait to mess around, when I play my sims I want them to act more like I want them to, like I made a sim for a beach hut with art stuff in, but my sim did not want to be all that creative, now we can hone our sims to be exactly what we want them to be.

I think I'm even tempted to create myself as a sim in the game and actually play myself which I don't normally do,  I'd be a hopeless romantic, bookworm, computer whiz, family orientated & good sense of humor.

Right well I better go, my friend just called, I'm meeting her she's just had an exam

I just wanted to take some time to THANK everyone who has been downloading and commenting while I was away. I appreciate the fact that you take time to thank me and whatnot.

My papa built me a computer over the winter just for simming (since my crappy lappy doesn't like all those high graphics). Thanks to him I'm able to play sims again and work on recolors.

I just submitted 20+ designer purses I made on a whim. Hopefully they'll be up soon. I'll get to work on some new clothes for the dudes since I am far too inferior to make womens clothing compared to the ladies of TSR.

Again thanks to everyone and now i'm off to make scramby eggs. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Even if you do wake up at 5pm.  =}

Sorry for the delay of the next chapter, but I have been really busy. I have tests at school, then I have had works experience. Luckily, I got fired today and I don't have to go back to work or school. So, now I can work on the next chapter without interuptions. It may be a bit long, but, who cares?

I wanted to submit the Breezeway For Him recolors as one set with all four color/patterns. But due to my continuing submission/widard problems I've given in and broken them up into four individual recolor sets, *sigh*. So I will try and put them out either one each day or maybe two in one day if I have the time.
