Clothes not Furniture
I know I said I was gonna do a furniture set next, but I got to fiddling with recoloring another dress mesh, so I've ended up with one finished dress so far. So I like the mesh well enough to do a few more recolors with it. I've made a preview screenshot, which of course will show up in the corner over there, should anyone actually be interested. ;D This particular dress is silver, with a beaded-looking ornament on the bodice. Its in the everyday clothing area, but is probably dressy enough for evening wear. So give me week or so (I'm slow, painstakingly detail-oriented, and my own worst critic) and I should have another dress set ready. :D Cheers

Pending Homes
I've uploaded my first (to TSR) five homes to the submission pile. The first has been approved, the rest are pending. I can't wait! I've added five lots from my Super-Modern neighbourhood: The Main flow Java Script 'N Sip, Hipster Park Corner, Casa Campo, Kernish House, and House in Hellschen.
I read yesterday that ghosts from other neighbourhoods can cause problems, so the Hipster Park may be put on hold - it's my primary memorial ground, and I didn't clear out the gravestands, not knowing...
Casa Campo's been approved, so look for it to be published soon, hopefully! It's a modern rustic cabin, lined with fine plywood interior siding and heated with a funky retro wood stove.
As this whole uploading/sharing of creations is new to me, I'd love some feedback about what people do with their lots before uploading - how much time you spend having Sims live in the lots, if you package them beforehand, then do a trial living situation, etc. Everything I've uploaded has been played in, so I know it's functional. But then once the Sim moves out they take all the furniture, etc - is there a way around that? Or is it necessary to build two copies of every starter lot? I like my homes to start with my kitchen and bath fixtures built already, like a real home.

Story Updates
Wow, sure is quiet around here.*crickets chirping*
Everyone waiting with bated breath for the Sims 3? Not this chick. Cannot see me getting it anytime soon. I am too emeshed in storytelling, and I need loads of CC for that, so will stick with the Sims 2 for the time being. Besides, I only have until Seasons, I have other EP's to explore yet before I move on to the Sims 3, if I ever do.
As you can see, I like to take my time. Plus I am sure there will be price cuts on the Sims 2 Ep's when the Sims 3 is rolled out. Yes, I am cheap.
I am still updating a blog story, "Crime Story"
Now on Chapter 8, only a couple more chapters to go.
I am slowly working on a story to be posted here at TSR, another western romance.
Also more retro Objects uploaded here at TSR. Working on some floor and walls sets and more retro stuff for the Month of May.

Grilled Cheese
So I have a sim who likes girlled cheese sandwiches just a bit toooo much. And young Mr V'ral Davenport is going to be marrying some popularity sim I haven't decided on yet, who is also going to convert to Grilled Cheese Ism. So what would be better for this happy couple to live in a house made to look like a grilled cheese sandwich? Hehehe. I found one over at MTS2 (http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=215627), which looks completely awesome.
Ahh, but what would make it even more awesome? Grilled cheese themed furniture. As I have recently become brave enough to stay playing with furniture recolours I am now working on a grilled cheese themed kitchen. And a bedroom. Have to have the GC bed. I'm not sure just how many rooms I'm going to do in the end... maybe the hose house! Mwahahahaha!
Ahem.
Anyway, just had to share my not so diabolical evil scheme.

Like I said in my blog of yesterday it is Queens day in The Netherlands. In my blog I wrote that I would be out partying. Well this didn't happen. On April 30th 2009 at 11:50 (local/Dutch time) someone tryed to attack the Royal Dutch family in a car. (maybe you've seen it on CNN, BBC and other international TV) The Royal Family was unhurt but people in the crowd where deadley wounded.
The car a black suzuki swift (European car) came from out of the crowd, before entering the road it already hit 2 fences (metal/iron) and ofcourse people that where standing on the side of the road waving to the Royal Family. People and the safty fences where flying through the air and hit the hard concreet road. The car was ceverley damaged and out of control it came to a stop against a monument at the otherside of the road. Because the car was damaged it went to the left side of the road away from the bus that was carrying the Royal Family. If you want to see what happend there's a video on youtube.com. The whole country is stunned by this and all the events/activity's where cannceld. Out of respect for the victims and the Queen.
On Queens day we celebrate the birthday of our Queen. It's a national holiday for us. After today Queens day will never be the same. This is the first time there is a direct attack on the Royal Dutch Family in many years. The last time the Royal was attack was when they killed Willem van Oranje and that was somewhere in the 1800s.
Today 5 innocent by standers where killed (among them a pregnant women) in the attack, 12 people injured 5 of them are still critical. The driver's condition is also critical and the rumor is that he's braindead?
My respects go out to the victims and family's and ofcourse to the Royal Dutch Family.

May Preview
So while TSR have been having their site issues I've continued working on various projects. I have about 6 now in varying states of just started to almost finished. This preview image shows two of the 'almost finished' projects, hehe *acts all mysterious*
I also have the first set of Breezeway For Him curtain ReColors ready to for release... whenever submissions works correctly again. There are 24 individual files in the set, so no way I'm doint them one at a time the old fashioned way, lol. I asked what colors people would want for recolors of the curtains and basically the answers I got were Neutrals and Manly. And since male Sims needs always get ignored I decided to start with a set the average bachelor Sim could appreciate. ;-)
Anyways, hopefully I'll be able to release those soon.
First Update for May!
I know this is pretty short notice, I have the walls set to released tomorrow and the lot on Sunday. Like most of you guys, I've had problems getting on the site, so it took some days to finally get the sets uploaded. Here's some pics, hope you guys enjoy!

Well, I have nearly finished decorationg and furnishing the downstairs of Rockfield House (RH). The only thing is, I am not used to dealing with big spaces and RH is definitely comes into the category of big spaces, the kitchen, living and dining area is all open plan I cannot for the life of me figure what to do with the living space.
If anyone has any ideas - I would be very very very very very very grateful.

Another milestone! Also recently passed half a million thanks. I really appreciate all of you who download, thank and comment on my things. It makes it all so much more enjoyable. I am constantly amazed at the kindness and generosity of this community.
I've been goofing off recently. Actually playing the game for a change. I felt like I was getting to be too far away from it. But I will still have some things for you shortly. Haven't put anything in recently because I wasn't too sure about these servers. If they are good over the next couple of days, I'll put some more up.
Nursery items are proving to be very challenging. I'm still trying to sort out what I'm going to do with them. They are a bit different because doing all one color looks very bad and figuring out what color(s) to match with it takes a bit of work. Also they can't look too "adult". I made a set that looks like a nursery for an old man instead of a child. Can't picture anyone ever wanting it. So I'm back to the drawing board again.
Also working on these last of the small appliances and the alarm clock. Need more hours in a day!

Texture Challenge #136
I have been participating in the texture challenge for the past month and have recolored some furniture. I just submitted my first wallpaper and floor set using the textures and colors from the textures to create them. I usually just make wall and floors for my personal use in the game. I finally decided it was time to share. I also plan to submit my first recolor using the textures from texture challenge #136. I have only submitted lots and pets in the past but I am branching out and getting out of my comfort zone. I'll let you know if they are approved. With the issues with the servers, I know they are behing on the submissions. They really have their work cut out for them! TSR is still the best place to download custom content!

Wow... I am amazed!!
I Uploaded my creations on the 23/4. They were approved on the 28/4. Just after my 20th Birthday... Yay me!! and now its the 30/4 i have 151 downloaded already and 14 thanks (Ok the thanks aren't that great, but neither are my creations)
Thank You all for giving me a go... I am sooooo looking forward to uploading more of my creations, My Partner will be away for a whole two weeks and inbetween housework and my day Job I will be creating away making sure I upload only the best of the best!! So far I have just been taking pictures of my clothes and trying to recreate them. (My goodness, so much fiddling)
I will be aiming to do more sets and focus on doing a main division first i.e Swimwear. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment here or in my guest book, thanks...
Calistoga Road (Sidney Prescott's House)
Hi Guys
I just Up-loaded/subbmited the lot.
Like I promis in the description further explanation about the house.
When I created the house I had the movie Scream playing next to me on my laptop to get as much details about the house as possible.
If you watch the movie closeley you'll find the details to. For example the basement that was never showned in the movie, I found the stairs downstairs.
The parent's bedroom (scream3) Sidney's bedroom are almost identical.
There are alo rooms in the house that was never showned in the movie I had to inprovise on these parts. examples: if you walked through the front door then on te right side there's a double door but closed in te movie. I made here a second livingroom/TVroom. now walk trough the hallway on the right side is also a room that they never showed in the movie, I made the diningroom here. Accross this room you'll find the room where Sidney was slepping on the couch and got the phone call of ghostface(aka Billy Loomis).
The hallway closet is also present.
Walk further to the back of the house then on the left side you'll find the stairs to the basement that room is also a inprovisation. then on the left side you'll find the kitchen. then on the right you'll find a livingspace. wit what it seems to be some kind of bar.
Upstairs You walk right into the parents bedroom I got this out of scream 3. that.s the only time that they showed this room.
Then if you'll walk furter to the back on the left side you'll find Sidney's room just compare it with the movie. the rest of the firstfloor is inprovised by me. there are no images for this part of the house.
I couldn't spot a driveway so I didn't put it in I left space for it. on the right side of the lot. There's also no garden or at least not what I could see in the movie. I did create a Garden I hope you'll like it.
The back porch was also though to create to my standerds it doesn't at up with the movie I did my best on this part. The stairs to the first floor from the backporch is present. (in the movie you see Sidney walking up the stairs while she's on the phone with Tatum her best friend.
For everyone that also up-load to the site can see that this story didn't fit in the descreption part.

Stairs, stairs and more stairs
OMG - I cannot belive how incredibly difficult I am finding making a half decent staircase! 3 hours! I lost count of the repititions of CFE on - CFE off, undoing all the way back to square one to rinse and repeat. Well, I got there in the end.
As you may have guessed my next house (Rockfield House) has a stairwell, and as much as I loved Tico's guides, I just couldn't get my head around them. Well - here's how they look now. I'm so glad I fnally got there as this place would not look right with a conventional staircase.

I must apologise to everyone who left me cool comments and never got any answer. Truth is, real life has taken me hostage and when I'm not doing boring stuff (not really that boring - work and friends do have its moments :D), I'm most likely daydreaming about Sims 3.
Anyway, I really can't wait for June 2009! :D
Work in progress
I have to have a break from all the tree-meshing. ;) So I started with this little set. It's still a 3D render, nothing imported yet.
Story progress
*sigh* Life was busy the past week. I have also been dealing with seasonal allergies so I find it hard to focus on things. I have the pictures finished on the second chapter of my story, Remember. The writing is almost finished. I tried uploading a few of the pictures but for some reason it won't display them all so I may wait till another time. I know they are having issues with the site so maybe it is messing up things.
I have the whole story in my mind. I am excited about the third and fourth chapters. Hopefully I will be able to get the pictures I want to express the parts of the story I want to tell. Anyway, for those curious the second chapter will be out this week.
One small step....
Well I have finally done it after over 10 years of playing the sijms I have uploaded my first lot! Woohoo!
I loved working on Heol Isaf and the panoramic windows from eyeswideopen made the project a blast. It wouldn't have looked the same without them so a big thank you!
My next project is almost finished and I can't wait to upload it for you guys to see.
Well that's me finshed for the night - hope you enjoy playing with Heol Isaf as much as I enjoyed building it!
Up and running
My Mischa Bartons sims are up and next it will be the summerbrise skin. I will upload a set with 4 tones, including the regular and medium tone already up for download but this time without eyebrows, the set will also include two new tones, a dark and a light tone.

A good start to the week
One of my screenshots was featured on the front page today (yey!). Although I may have been fast asleep tucked under the warm blankets in bed my wonderful new friends on TSR let me know. Unfortunately I only saw it for a milli second. You will probably laugh at me (I'm laughing at myself lol) but it was really nice to see your own stuff up there and the fact that the thousands of people who use this site may see it.

For all Backrow Downloaders!!!
Well it was bound to happen at some point. The really nice publich phone I have used in these lots might not be working as it should. If you have problems with it you can replace it the maxis one and if you don´t think the wonderfull blue colorscheme fits the theme you can always download on of these recolors:http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/details/category/sims2-sets-objects/title/NK%20PI%20Public%20Phones/id/477438/. I am so sorry for the inconvinience.

OK so as some may know but most dont my lap top died. :eek: So I'm now moving into a desktop (this is gonna suck come winter :rolleyes: ) slowly but surely. i've gotten all my games loaded in (though the M&J flowers on a wall the flowers dont show up properly), but am pretty much at 100% Maxis. I'm going to be correcting that one before long. I need for things to match again! And oh how I miss those completer sets that so many have made. :wub: I also miss those "little touches". :wub: Oh custom content how I miss thee. :confused: OK enough of the whining & on to the nitty gritty. ;) I've hit a point where physically a lot of my creativity had got up and went anyway so I don't think I'll be making anymore stories.....but ya just never know. ;) I do however still very much enjoy building lots & creating pets. I had a list of people for who I was going to be making pets for.......this list along with my MTS2 info is in the notebook that got lost, so if you were someone that I had agreed to making a pet for just remind me.....if your're just someone who'd like one go ahead & ask and I'll still see about it. ;) I'm going to concentrate on building for the most part. For one thing I can do it semi-comatose. If I fall asleep while playing no big deal (so long as I don't fall out of my chair). While building there are no fires and such other forms of disaster. I miss a lot of things from a lot of different artsts; but what I'm missing the most at the moment are my Tabbylou Mission Match (love it when things match), SimAddict's & Mutske's maxis completer sets, then again MsBarrows SPAIK, Shakeshaft, & windkeeper all have some stuff I'm very very very much missing. Oh yes & then there are all the recolors that MoMama did, & dddrake, and yeah I have some downloading to do when I get CleanPak up & running again. :ph34r: Yes we can all make some nice lots with maxis but we can make such nicer lots with the great cc available. :D When I was writing stories I had a ton of stuff just for the stories.......I don't think i'll have as much problems with overloading my computer if I stick to stuff to upload here. But wow there were a lot of nifty plants out there. But there are still a ton of great plants that are TSRAA so my game will still have a lot of content........just not the tens of thouseands of downloads that I had from before. ;) So I'll be around just making lots for the SPACE-ally challenged Sims (my Sims are almost getting stuck in the darndest places & it wouldn't seem they'd manage to get stuck yet they do so I make my lots a bit more spacious than some but that is so that Sims are not stuck anywhere........& though the majority of the lots are maxis my favorites are usually the ones using cc. :cool: So a million thanks to all the awesome creators out there. :wub:
Recycling!
I love Maxis boardshorts, but they have only been available for adult males. I remade them to fit grandpa and grandson. It's not as easy as you could wish, as elder, adults and kids have different body types, so you have to tailor the clothing.
Some of the boardshorts were previously made available for grandpa by moonlitmaiden, but they were just recategorized, so they change grandpa's body form into adult form, which I'm not so fond of. Grandpa has to look like grandpa! Also, her swimtrunks require Bon Voyage expansion, and mine will work with base game only.

My whereabouts . . .
Due to some setbacks in real life, I have not added any lots lately. I do have a few things in the works, but I'm finding it difficult to stay motivated to keep building for TS2 with The Sims 3 coming soon.
I can't wait to get my hands on the new game!
My Wedding Anniversary
I'm going away for a few days to a romantic log cabin overlooking the sea to celebrate my Second Wedding Anniversary, so I will be away from my computer and unable to respond to PMs, comments, etc - I'm not just ignoring you! I'm hoping the weather will be good - but on the west coast of Scotland you never know what it might do. Snow was forecast at one stage...
