As you can guess from the title, I have a new website. It's for my story, The Never Ending Darkness. It's mainly about vampires, love and the supernatural. It's NOT a Twilight rip off. Beach Haven Update--

I have been out of commission since about Tuesday when a dreaded stomach bug struck my household and both of my grandkids (2 and 3 yrs) came down with it one after the other and then I came down with it! Yuck! and I do mean Yuck! Today is the first I have logged on in days so I have not been able to hunt for treasure chests or work on wrapping up both of my Beach Haven renditions for uploading. :-(  Hopefully, I will be able to do so within the next week. Pausing Clothes and Modern Furniture Series

I have just paused my newest series to first, work on some apartments and stuff because I just go the sims 2 apartment life, and 2, to learn how to use blender. I started by using SketchUp, but it had some export and import problems, so I'm going to be using blender instead.

I have just found this nifty video tutorial series for blender, so I'll be watching those for a while. Once I learn some of the basics about blender, I think I'll be starting with a simple table or something. SketchUp looked so user friendly... Oh well. It has some flaws. And I'm pretty sure I can do the exact same thing with blender. I might even be making some tutorials soon. Look out for them!

sims cheats!!!!!

• for my sims 2 double deluxe (i never used any expansion packs or any others) when you press ctrl + shift + c a cheat box should pop up when it does when you type motherlode you will get 50,000 cash every time you press it, so then your sims don't need an expensive job but you can build your house with everything you wanted (like a sports car,bowling alley, ect.).                                                                                                                    
• when you get a expensive telascope if your BOY sim goes out and looks though it pause it and type boolprop testing enabled true in the cheat box then press shift and click on your sim and it should say something about aleins (my friend told me about this so i don't know if it works) when then get abducted (if they do) when the boy sim comes back i think 8 hours later he will be preganent! he will actually end up having a alein baby.
• If your mom is pregnant and about to have the baby like looking weird press 
  shift + ctrl + c  at the same time to get to the cheat box. then
  when you are their type in (force twins) to get twins.

I did it again!

I removed one of my favorite stories! Not on purpose, but I wanted to upload part three of the Coopers story. No luck there. i seem to have a problem with the wizard...or the wizard with me...I don't know...*teethgrinding* First I created a new story, but no pictures, then I accidently said "overwrite" guess what.....Cooper Livestock part two is GONE !!!! *sob sob*

I don't know what to do, reboot my computer? Or just wait and try uploading next coming days? * really crying now*

In case you were wondering

I haven't a clue if anyone ever reads my blog. Ha Ha Ha I have a couple of things to say. The first being, I love this place. You know it's funny...for the past 2 plus years I just sort of floated around, submitted when I could and talked with my friends here. Then the strangest thing happened. We were attacked, and then accused of attacking, and then I was accused of being a traitor...now that one hurt. :-(  It got me to thinking, did I really belong here? Several good friends left for various reasons. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I am honestly not aware of any of the things people are saying about TSR to be true. I only know that I've never had any problems. No one has ever asked me to do anything or say anything or even hinted at me writing anything to support this place.

So, I took a good long look within myself. Then I took a good hard look around TSR. You know what I discovered? A lot of caring, supportive, giving, gifted, brave people that happen to share a common hobby. These are hard working very talented people who have asked for nothing in return...not even a thank you. Now that's dedication. I look around the Sims community as a whole and see much the same thing. We all obviously love the Sims or we would not be here.

I don't hold any ill feelings towards anyone. I like people...even those who don't care for me. That's ok, because if you met me in person, we'd have a good laugh together. I know this because I've never met an enemy. :-) I get along with almost everyone and you'll never hear anything negative coming from me towards anyone. In the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along"? Ha Ha Ha I remember when he said that after the horrible riots in LA and I must have laughed for 10 minutes. After all the serious things that had happened in Los Angeles, California...the world waited...you could hear a pin drop...then "he" spoke. "Can't we all just get along"? Huh? What? Ha Ha Ha Ha! It was brilliant in its simplicity and hilarious!

Well, Sims Community...Can't we all just get along? (((HUGS))) I'm here to stay. I quite like being an SA. It is an honor.

Oh, I almost forgot the second thing I wanted to say! I’m working on several sets. Unfortunately I scrapped two of those sets because I didn’t like the way they turned out. So…back to the drawing board for them.  I should have two of the other sets up this week. In case anyone was wondering what's taking so long. Ha Ha Ha

So you're an FA...what does THAT mean?!

Since the new TSR version has gone live, it has become a little less obvious about what it is exactly that FAs are, and what they do. :) The BEST explanation I have ever read came from the magnificent Windkeeper on our TSR forums.

You can read it here

You should be aware that all FA items, (unless on a free rotation schedule or permanently set free), are for subscribers only. This means you must be a subscriber to the site before you are able to download these items. You can tell whether or not an item is an FA subscriber item by looking for the GOLD artist pallette, and the little gold KEY on the items title. If you do see a little golden key, it means that the item is a subscriber only item.

FAs are asked if they are willing to be subscriber only artists by the site itself. They do so for their own reasons, but my particular reasons were:
1) Because it is a REALLY great honor to be considered one of the top artists on the site!
2) Because I LOVE this site, and know that by allowing my lots to be subscriber only I am also enabling many other artists to NOT worry about the costs of uploading to a site, or worrying about uploading to the web in general.

I, and my fellow FAs, are in essence helping to ensure that thousands of other fabulous items are kept FREE for you to download. FAs encourage subscibers, which pay for the site fees/servers/professional staff/etc., which in turn allows most of the items on the site to remain free of charge! It is a very small price to pay to be sure that this wonderful site continues to be one of the best, friendliest, and most reliable sites for downloading content on the web. As a "thank you" to our subscribers, they get perks like no ads, full access to FA downloads whenever they want, etc. For a full listing on the benefits of subscribing, you should check THIS out.

Free Rotation Schedules

Some artists allow their items to be set up on a free rotation schedule. There are a certain amount of months before an item can be placed on this schedule, so you won't see new items up there for quite some time...and not all artists participate. It is their decision, and theirs alone. Asking for free items, or asking us to create items for free, is actually against the rules of the site. We're usually pretty patient about it, but asking too often can result in you getting your account closed down. That would be AWFUL! I sure would hate to see someone lose an account because they were asking around for free stuff. :( It's just better to be patient and either earn a kudos downloading spree day, get a subscription, or keep an eye on your favorite artists blogs for updates on their free schedule list if they have one.

About requests:

Now, about requests...there are LOTS of artists on the site that take requests. They do so for many reasons, their friends asked them to make them something, a favorite commentator on their items asked them, they are in collaboration with other artists, etc. NOT all artists take requests. Before making a request of an artist, you should find out if the artist actually takes requests. Some have notes on their personal info that say they don't/do take requests, some FAs tell you on their forum threads (usually in the first posts), and some in their blogs. Most don't really say, as it isn't something you think about until someone actually asks. So if you can't find any info on whether they do/don't, it is best to just post in their guestbook and ask if they take requests before listing that amazing idea you have for them. :)

As for me? I do not normally take requests, although I do like suggestions! It isn't because I don't think other people have terrific ideas...most DO! It is because I frequently have 4 - 8 ongoing projects I am working on at any given point. I simply don't have the time. :( There are rare occasions where I will find a request on the Lot Builders forum, or offer to do a request for a special occasion like I did for Valentines Day, but for the most part, I just can't do it. I hate having to tell people that I cannot, but I have to be realistic and know my limits. If I stretch myself too thin I am going to lose the fun of building...and I sure don't want to do that! LOL!

Anyhoo, I hope that has cleared up a few questions you may have about what we are, what we do, and why we do it. If you've read this far, thank you. Your willingness to learn and listen is what makes this site such a pleasure to be on! :) Enjoy the site, enjoy the downloads, and enjoy YOURSELF! That's what TSR is supposed to be about. :D

I have finally submitted my retro papers set which a lot of people saw screenshots for. I couldn’t get batch edit to work so in the end I just entered the descriptions one by one. Hopefully it will be online within the next few days.

On the fence about Sims 3..

So today i had some free time on my hands and did a little online surfing on the Sims 3 and im kinda on the fence about whether i should buy it or not when it comes out in June.. The main thing im debating is whether it'll be better then Sims2 which i love.. I don't care about the better graphics or animations becuase im very happy and content with the quality of Sims2 =) .. the only thing that interests me about Sims3 so far is the fact u can customize everything from window shades to shoes (a feautre i wish sims2 had) and the personality traits seem pretty cool too.. but thats about it =\ Im wondering what some of the other sims2 fans on TSR feel about it? and if any1 else has thought about staying with sims2?

Bamboo Sets

Now here are the bamboo sets. One for Seasons and the other one for Base game as usual. :) The features:

• Seasons compatible set: The bamboo change their appearance with seasons and weather + two recolors

So i will upload the first Mischa Barton sim without the hair that requires the mesh from Marko and as soon as possible i will post the other one. The sims are identical so there is no diference besides the hair with it.

Thankfully, things are pretty quiet just now, but it all starts next week!

I will be away from Thursday to Saturday on a Silver Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition(sounds important) which I am absolutely crapping myself about! Then at the start of May, my Standard Grade exams start, whcih is kinda important! This means I will be around even less, but I will try to pop back from time to time :)

In the Hood...

Ah... it's so nice to be back creating again. I seem to have a bit of an obsession with creating new Neighbourhoods at the moment, so please bear with me.

Stoneyville Estate is coming along nicely. Map 10 is nearly finished with a Museum under construction. After that there's just one more lot to build & that map will be complete. There won't be a Map 8 as the only thing on it will be the "Stoneyville Town Square", so just plonk it down in the centre & map 8 is done!

I also have a new Mountain lot on the way - just a little cozy cabin for you to enjoy & I'm also toying with making Stoneyville University as a series of maps... hence the neighbourhood creating!

Thanks to everyone for all the lovely comments on my last Blog. I'd rather regret going, than to have not experienced a trip away with Terry. If nothing else we've proved we can be together 24 hours a day without getting sick of each other... or killing each other!

Stories and Lot Creations

Hey Everyone!

Has been a while since i blogged on here. I am in the middle of making a new traditional residential lot called "The Kimberley". It should hopefully be out shortly. For the two hair sets i promised, it doesn't look like they are coming. Due to computer failure and program loss, it seems i have lost all files and am unable to compress them :( But i will making plenty of lots.

For the stories, i am in the middle of making two, one called "You're Not Alone" which is in the genre of horror, and "Letters" which is a story set in the victorian times and is about a forbidden love story :)

Sims 2

Hola,

Just thinking about the Sims 2 base game. And all the downloads on the site. Why are some of them labeled "Base Game Acceptable" (or something like that), when they really aren't? I have downloaded many things, and a lot of them have been corrupted or "require expansion pack data that was not available". Whatever...had to get that off my chest.

I really like the new version of the site, and I can't wait to see all the wonderful creations that the talented artists on this site make for the Sims 3. It's going to be mighty exciting.

I looked all over the internet, and this was by far the BEST Sims download site I could find. It was the easiest to sign up for, the easiest to learn how to use, and also the easiest to download from. It really made a simmer happy. You wouldn't BELIEVE how many sites I looked on, and so many of them repuired payment...yeah, can't afford that.

As you can probably tell from my username, I absolutely adore playing the Sims. I just ordered the Sims 2, and I can't wait until it shows up. I borrowed the game from a friend, then fell in love with it. I love the improved graphics, and the genetics.
The 3D was a big step up.

Love's Never a Choice: Archer's Story (Working Title)

Hi Alyx (yay I spelled it right)! The site wouldn't let me send thia in a PM. Anyway, I thought I'd show the ending (since I can't think of a beginning) and you can tell me hat I should change and anything else you think should be in the story:

I opened Notepad over my IM with ()** and walked to the bathroom. As I stood in front of the urinal, a weird thought struck me: what would happen if someone were to find out? How would my parents deal? Would everyone abandon me? I dismissed it. It's impossible, I thought, even () said I'm too careful.

The thought made me laugh as I washed my hands and headed back to the computer lab. As I was sitting down in front of the computer, I noticed something unsettling. "I could've sworn I opened Notepad over the IM," I said. Then I heard something that almost made my heart stop:

"Hey, Jen," Amber whispered.

"What? I'm doing Forensics homework," Jen snapped in a hushed tone.

"Archer's GAY!"

"What?! How would you know?"

"I looked at his computer. He's chatting with his little boy toy!"

I immediately closed my IM with () and said, "oh, crap."

The next couple of days were pure hell. It didn't take long my secret to spread throughout the entire grade. Every day, I came home with a new patch of bruises and scars. Every night, my mom and dad would beg me to tell them what was wrong. I knew that telling them would jeoperdize my relationship with them and I wouldn't be able to deal with that.

Finally, came Friday. All I could think about is the two relaxing days away from this torture chamber. My comforting visions of freedom were interrupted when I bumped into someone on the way to my last class. I apologized, but then I noticed who I had bumped into: Brutus Evans***. He didn't look happy.

"Get outta my way, queer!" he shouted as he knocked me to the floor. Although I was weak from all the thrashings I've had to endure that week, I still managed to get off the floor. Without warning, grabbed me by the neck and pulled me close to his face. "You homos are the scum of the earth," he said, "I wonder what happen if one of them disappeared?"

I usually take threats with grain of salt; however, I've never gotten a death threat before. Mr. Patterson, the assistant principal, broke up the crowd. "Again, Brutus?" He sighed, "You know where my office is. I have other matters to attend to." Mr. Patterson then walked away without a second glance.

"You better pray that you get sick on Monday," he told me, then he walked away.

After class was over, I ran to the bus stop to avoid any more confrontations. As I rode the bus home, I thought about what Brutus said. He's just bluffing, I thought. I almost made myself feel at ease with what he said. But then a thought hit me like a bat to the face: what if he's not? I don't want to die, and it wouldn't be the first time something like this happened. Brutus rarely jokes when it comes to threats, and his dad's a lawyer. He could kill me and get away with it, I thought. At that point in time, there was only one thing I could think of: I have to move.

As soon as I got home, I told my mom that I needed to talk to her and dad. "Sounds important," she said in a concerned tone, "He'll be home around 6:30." I looked around and saw Paige wasn't home. "Where's Paige?" I asked. "She's at a friends," said mom.

Mom and I waited until dad came home. I sat them down and started to confess. "I know you guys have noticed the bruises and scars I've been getting at school..." Mom started asking a million questions a minute while dad turned white, as if to say, "Oh, God. Hopefully he's not about to tell us what I think he's about to tell us." After telling my mom to calm down, I took a deep breath and revealed the truth:

"Mom...Dad...I'm gay."

I spilled everythng; about (), the sneaking out, the computer incident, Brutus' treat, everything. Mom let out a relieved sigh. "Oh, thank goodness, that's it?" I nodded. "Oh, Archie," she said as she pulled me into a hug, "I don't care if you're gay! I'll always love you no matter what. And don't worry, we'll do something about school."

It was like a weight was lifted off of me hearing my mom say that; however, when I looked behind her, hoping dad was there, I saw no one. Dad had left the room.

That night as I was about to go to sleep, I heard my mom and dad fighting. They've never fought like this before and they were fighting over me:

"He's getting beaten everyday at this school! Unless you want to lose your only son, we need to move!"

"Why can't we just send him to a different school?"

"He told me someone threatened to kill him! It won't be that hard to find out where he lives."

"What are we supposed to do for money?!"

"We'll move far enough to make Archer feel safe, but close enough so that it won't be a long commute."

Dad let out a frustrated sigh, "For God's sake, why couldn't he be normal?!" I went to bed before I could hear anything else.

The next day, I woke up at around 2:30. I must've been exhausted from this insane week, I thought. The first thing I did was check if () was online. Seeing that he was, I IM'd him:

Trying to manage my anger, I made my way to the kitchen to get something to eat, where I caught mom and dad in the middle of a discussion. Dad immediately retreated to his room while mom spoke with me. "I know that keeping you in this school is a bad idea," she started, "and just transferring you won't help, so we're moving." I let out a relieved sigh. She continued: "We're gonna tie up all the loose ends here while you stay at aunt Sharlene's house."

"Okay," I said, "So, when do I leave?"

"Tonight."

"Are you sure I shouln't leave tomorrow?"

"The sooner the better right?"

I couldn't argue with mom on that one. "I'll start packing now," I stated. I was relieved, almost elated to leave ()****, but I was saddened that my dad wasn't behind me on this.

That night, mom, dad, Paige, and I piled into the car and started the long drive to my aunt Sharlene's. Mom explained to Paige that some bad people wanted to hurt me, so they were taking me to aunt Sharlene's to stay while they finish packing. Beside's that, the trip was pretty silent; even Paige noticed something wrong, so she tried to keep quiet to prevent tempers from flaring. We finally got to aunt Sharlene's house just outside of (). Paige and mom said there goodbye's while dad stayed in the car. After everyone was done, they went back into the car and drove away.

Aunt Sharlene was more caring and sensitive than she usually is (ugh, mom told her). She let me sleep in the guest bedroom. AsI laid my head on the pillow, I had a strange feeling: I'm guessing it was safety. The feeling was so comforting, that I feel right asleep.

That's the ending. Now the stars:

Planning ahead

Well,I have finally decided what story to create next and its going to be about Alex much older now since my other story Life of Elisa he was just a litle tiny thing then.I'm not going to give it a lot but Alex moves out to  head to college,so you wont probably see his parents in his story. My easter weekend

Well, easter has come and gone, we had a great one, except for the rain, but then I live in Washington, where it rains alot, so I guess it could be worse! LOL My best freind, who I consider my sister, came to visit for this weekend, she brought her daughter, and their two puppies with them, I met Connie when I was 11 and she was 10, some boys were picking on me on the playground one day, and she came up, and stopped them, earning her my everlasting freindship and love! I was a tiny scrawny kid, and she was a little big, so she knew what I was going through. We have been through so much, and are so close, that 35 years later, we consider each other sisters, her lovely daughter is my niece, and she is Godmother to my sons. I feel very fortunate to have her in my life, and to also have my wonderful husband, and son, and to have met so many wonderful and caring people here, so this easter, I had alot to be thankful for!!!!!

Today is my Birthday

And I'm 155 years old today, and I'm still spry and love to Sim! My Hubby took me out to lunch for seafood today (Blackened Shrimp and Scallops--my favorite) and my son brought home a new Harvest Moon game for me to play--Harvest Moon Island of Happiness. I can actually play that one as a GIRL instead of a guy for a change! My son also orderd the new Monoral CD for me, which should get here in a week or so--I love Monoral--they are a Japanese band that hardly anyone in the US has ever heard of. If you look them up on Wikipedia that will tell you who they are. Anyway, I have gotten a few Birthday wishes I didn't expect from a couple forums I haven't been to in months--and only about two people from the forums I have been to most the last few months have said Happy Birthday. (And I thank those sweet people very much) I guess that tells me who really loves me where forums are concerned, and I better start re-frequenting the forums who think of me though I haven't been there in months! Sometimes I feel good on my birthday, and sometimes I'm depressed--and this has kind of been a depressing birthday--but as they say--better over the hill than buried under it! Hope you guys have had a wonderful day, yourselves!
