My older sister is turning 18 on april 29th and idk what to get her. But i do know that she wants herself as a sim. I really want to do this for her but i don't have the right programs to. she would love to have a sim of her like the really good celeb ones that look just like them. Well, this is the recent news. I've decided to retire and I have a lot of the reasons to do so! I just should think more of my education than about TS2 so I guess this is the best way for me to do now.

And also I'm in need of changes as soon as it possible! It concerns for TS2 world too... So I guess TSR it's not my place anymore.

That's why since today's evening you can find me at BlackPearlSims.

And, please,if you feel like you want to ask me about smth or comment on my items don't use TSR for it now. Because I'm not sure will I be able to thank you/answer you here.

Mountain Vacation Update

Hello there everyone =)

The lodge for the ski resort set is getting on nicely. I have finally finished fiddling the top floor so I can fit in a few loft rooms and I am now starting on some of the interior design. The lodge will have 5 rooms, with one huge master suite. All of the rooms will have balconies. I am also considering placing a few log cabins hidden away in the woods... what do you guys think? Post your feedback in my guestbook or comment below!

Giving up on those chests for now!

I've decided to quit looking for that last chest--if I run across it--fine--that will be so cool--anyway I've still got till May-the-somethingth to find it! So I am going to just spend some time finishing up my Patriotic Dress Set. Yes I know 4th of July is still a few months away, but May is also a patriotic month because of Memorial Day, VE Day, and Armed Forces Day--days that Americans will proudly display an American Flag, if they don't have one flying already! (I have an American flag on one side of my driveway, and usually a Union Jack on the other, because my husband is half British. But we took down our Union Jack because it had gotten a bit raggedy, but we will replace it eventually) Anyway the dresses are various combinations of red, white, and/or blue--so far there are two red, white and blue ones, and one that is just red and white, and one that is a red, white and blue plaid with another color or two thrown in for good measure! I am at the moment working on a solid white one, and may also end up with a solid blue and solid red one in the set as well--lets just say I haven't decided yet when to stop! :D At any rate they will all use the same mesh by Harmonia09. And maybe be by this evening or tomorrow I will have a sneak preview screenshot to show you.

Can we ask for a hint?

Is it also a NO-NO to ask if anyone has found booty in the forums? A simple "yes" is all I'm looking for. I got up to 10 on Friday and hit a brick wall. Surely I'm not the only one. I'm not frustrated......yet (LOL).

One thing's for sure, I've gotten to know this site up close and personal. That never would have happened without this competition. I salute the think tank behind this one by creatively turning a nasty situation into alot of positive energy!

Ok so I tried for two days and found out i cannot mesh for anything! I'll try at another time....maybe. So for now what im doing is recoloring some meshes! YAY! I love doing that it is so much fun to do. Anyway i will be doing alot of this over the next few days and i will post as soon as i take pictures. I spoke too soon...AGAIN.

Good grief...it feels like one thing after another!

I was in game, getting screenie for the next Andretti update and WHOOSH! everything went black. Just flippin' peachy...

I could still hear my little simmies enjoying themselves...so, I opted to go across the street and borrow a monitor. Maybe my monitor had gone wonky...

No luck, the neighbors monitor is all black too...so, tomorrow I start the search for a new graphics card.

One of my photographers has a card that won't run my game, but'll get the computer up and running so I can pull all my files off of it and get them onto an external hard-drive. Then, I start the search for a brand new computer that I was hoping could wait until Sims 3.

All my simming has been put on hold...unforunately.

Real Life

I know it's super hard to believe, but I do have a life outside of TSR. Lately, the Andretti Legacy has been pushed to the back burner. For that, I apologize. But, let me explain...

For the past 6 months, I've been planning a surprise birthday party for my mother (also a TSR member) for her 50th birthday. It took everything I had plus some to get this thing underway and make it happen. Well, it happened and she was super shocked and had no idea about any of it. So, that in itself was a great accomplishment for me.

During that time, I've had to battle many reproductive dramas and will continue to battle them as my case is not as common, and there's no 'fix' for me other than another major surgery that I'm not ready for.

Now that the party is over, and it would seem that the reproductive dramas are very small...Lovey and I have decided to get our own place...FINALLY. But, with that comes many issues...no computer, no internet for the computer, and many other moving catastrophes...including making my cat who is mainly outdoor completely indoor. Now, that will be a real headache.

Either way, I will need to purchase a brand new computer. One to run Sims 3 and then we'll need to invest in Tivo for Lovey and internet for me. I will get the computer first, obviously...and will load my Sims 2 onto it for the time being and continue to take screenshots and carry them over to my mother's to upload some Andretti updates. So, bear with me...I really appreciate all your patience.

Speaking of the Andretti's and Sims 3...yeah, you guessed it...they'll be moving to Sunset Valley as soon as the game hits the shelf (and assuming I have a computer at this time). If not, I'll buy the game and drool over it every day until I get a computer. Anyway, I'll keep updating until I get to the point where the switch-over will occur, then I will notify all of you that I won't be uploading anymore until Sims 3. Don't worry, there's still two months to go!

So, all in all...real life is just as crazy as ever and don't expect too much, but be thankful for what you get.

Preview Content & Fences

Because I like to dress up my previews, I have been asked a few times where I have gotten an item or items I use in them. 99% percent of the time they are from TSR, one of my own creations, or one of my friend DD's creations. Most of the time I know who and where they are from, so don't be afraid to ask!

Also, both the Panorama Fencing and Doors are finished. Just to make captures and previews. :)

Only one set of Panorama windows left to go: single middle row. I have to admit, I'm ready to move on, lol!

Competition

I've been looking all day for the last chest and I just found it! It's my first time entering a competition and this was an irritating way of doing it.

I've almost reach 10.000 downloads! That's so cool! I would like to thank you all who have downloaded my stuff.

I don't have any school next week so I think, if I'm feeling inspired, I will make something to celebrate my 9.944 downloads :)

I'm crazy about The Sims2.And I'm counting the days when I can play The Sims 3. I'm glad I found The Sims Resource,because it has made my game alot of fun to play. I want to thank everyone for all the downloads.

What I Have Been Up To Lately!

I have been busy doing other things in life like have been crocheting outfits to wear, bought a brand new computer The Dell Studio Hybrid it is cool and small tower about only 9" tall about 5" wide etc. The only thing I need now is a wide screen monitor eaither for the DVI-I or the HDMI 1.2 for I had to get a special connector to convert the DVI-I to Vega and I think that is why I can not seem to get more smoothness at all. The reflections not working I think! I know this new computer will work for The Sims 3! I will next month pre-order the Sims 3 Collectors Edtion! LOL....

Sets, sets, everywhere...

I've had a few sets rattling around in my head for some time now, and with Sims 3 fast approaching I thought I should at least try to get them built. LOL! So here are some fun facts about these new sets!

ANCIENT GREEK STARTER SET - Uni/NL/OFB/SEAS/BV - CC IS included - Release Date: April 8th

I have always adored Ancient Greece. The culture, intelligence, mythology, color, and even the simplistic style and decor of these incredible people are inspiring and fascinating. Even today much of the style and symmetry created by these wonderous people is still in use, and much of it can be seen in contemporary or even modern architecture and design! Ok...I've "fangirled" enough over the ancient Greeks, but here is some info you might want to know about my new lots!

Because Maxis didn't consider Ancient Greece in its decor or furnishings, CC had to be used...and it had to help disguise certain items that simply ruined the whole look I was trying to accomplish. So here are some items that you might want to know about!

Scrolls - Created by ShinoKCR - In the residential lots you will find scrolls. Click on these wonderful scrolls to begin studying or reading! This "bookcase scroll" can be placed on a table, a desk, or in a pre-made bookcase if you can find the space. It's rather a cleverly made object...and I LOVE it!

Mouth of Truth - Created by Spaik - Click on this fountain with a face to begin a series of fun behaviours by your sims designed to build up body skill points! Thanks to this wonderful creation, I could do away with the more modern exercise machines! YAY!

Harp - Created by Dr.Pixel - This beautiful centerpiece is more than it seems! It's a magical harp that plays music like a radio! That's right...it's a radio - fully functioning! Sorry folks, no TVs in these homes, but the harp does well instead!

Hanging Flower Pot - Created by Dr.Pixel - This is actually a fire alarm.

These are a few of my FAVORITE pictures of these wonderful lots! I may have to build more later since I adored creating these lots! Due to some Installation Instructions, these lots are best placed in the Twikki Island template if you want them all to be together. :)

LIKKI TWIKKI ISLAND - Uni/NL/OFB/SEAS/BV/AL - NO CC - Release date: April 16th

While I'm at it...I also created an entirely DIFFERENT set, but this one doesn't have ANY CC. YAY! It's in an Island theme, and even though it is called Likki Twikki, the set is actually best placed in the Moon Islands template to accomodate all lot Installation Instructions. There are 3 lots. A village with 3 rental homes, a beach lot 2 bedroom starter home, and an open air market for the shopping needs of your island simmies. :D Here are a few shots of the community lot and the village...

And yes...I do have some other projects I am working on as well. Not to worry though...even though I will be creating in Sims3, I intend to keep building in the Sims 2 as well! I just love the game too much. LOL! Hope you like the new sets, and that they make both you and your sims very happy! :D

Break from TSR

Hey all,

School holidays have just started here in Australia, the land down-under! And because of the holidays and the fact that I'm going to be starting at a new school next term! I'm going to be taking a break from story-writing and everything else here on tsr for a while. I will though, be posting 1 more chapter for each of the 3 stories I have at the moment. Because well they're already written, I just have to upload them to this site. So after those chapters, there's going to be a bit of a wait for the next ones. Except if I decide that I don't want a break and would rather be playing the sims then doing schoolwork, which might I add is highly likely, well who wants to be doing homework when you can play the sims. But hopfully I won't do that, because I have A LOT of work to get done, in these measly two weeks that I get.

So I'll be back as soon as I can.

Chapter 2.0 of Adventures of Bowman

I have finally finished Chapter 2.0 for Adventures of Bowman. I have now submitted it and It should be approved tomorrow or Tuesday.  I will updated the website today. The family tree will be updated once all children have there spouse in the house and get married I will update the family tree.

Mountain Vacation Set

On the way from me is a set of 5 lots, 2 hotels, 1 community lot and 2 homes (or vacation homes). These will fit around a french alps sort of 'ski' style, requiring bon voyage and seasons. These could be my best yet! I also have plans to create a moroccan style hotel (not part of this set). Hope you all look forward to them!

Here is a quick snap of the large hotel. It is a work in progress so doesent look perfect... yet! Post your comments telling me what you think and suggestions.

My First Blog

This is my first blog.  My name is Terri and I am searching for the pirate booty that is buried around here some where. So far I have dug up 11 and I am searching for the last 2. 

I have been downloading custom content for sometime now and I want to start submitting some of my own recolors.  I have participated in the Texture Challenge to get a feel for it.  So far I have submitted my residential lots.  It would be nice to furnish my homes with my own creations.  I would also like to learn how to make meshes.  Here is a photo of my first recolr using the TC132 texture challenge.  I would like to submit it to TSR. Please let me know what you think. 

Leaving my sims

Well. Tuesday my husband and I are going to Agadir for a week. Agadir is in Morocco and we're ready for the sun! Never been there. I've been to Casablanca, but not outside the airport. I used to be an airline stewardess for KLM for many years. Been all over the world, but just the places just outside Europe we didn't stay long. Therefor my husband and I love totake short holiday trips within Europe and just outside, in this case Northern Africa.

Now, can I leave my Sims? Yes I'll shut down the computer, but I'm online  every day to check on them and to check on you, here at TSR!

OK... enough! I will take books to read, lotion, and I think of some Morrocan theme I can do for the Sims when I come back April 15th.

I seem to be having a thing with uploading my lots. They are pending forever! Over aweek! I don't know why that is? If someone can tell me pleasssse let me in on it! I just came back from a B-day party. A friend turned 50 and we had a great lunch and drinks in Amsterdam. I have a Morroccan lot. I am going to move Nashi who lives there and redo the building so it can be uploaded. Yes, I'll go Morroccan for a week or so. Bye for now!

Beginning Clothing and Modern Series

Today is the day where I finally start to work on the Modern series and the Clothing series. I was finding a good 3D editor and I have decided to stick with Google SketchUp. Now while some of the conversions may be hard enough, I'll eventually get it right. Im going to need to refresh myself on how to use SimPE.

The good news here is, that I will finally be starting to do that Modern Series. I tried to create a table the other day, but it failed miserably. Ah well. I guess I'll have to get to work!

More computer problems

My computer broke down last week. Now it's finally fixed, but my data are partly corrupted, so I have to re-install everything including the Sims and many programs I use for creating. So I don't know if I get to create this weekend, but most probably not.

I hope to update in next few days, but usually I don't have time during the week. Maybe tomorrow:)

American Football Jerseys Part 8

I've been making American football jerseys since August 2006 and finally I've reached the end! Here is my eighth and final set of four jerseys, taking the total to 32 different teams. The final set comprises jerseys for the following teams: Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. My previous 31 jerseys can be found here: American Football Jerseys Superset. I will be updating this shortly to include the new jerseys.



As usual, these jerseys can be worn by adult and young adult males and use a standard Maxis mesh so they are base game compatible. I hope you've enjoyed seeing the collection grow over the last 3 years. It's been a challenge but fun too! Have fun using the jerseys in your game. I'd love to see your screenshots, so please post any links here.

I was so excited when I pressed the 'Dashboard' button yesterday and saw that Ihad 5,000 downloads!
 I know that to alot of people here, that's barely anything. But when I signed up to TSR, I never imagined that I would even get 100 downloads, so 5000 is pretty major for me! =D

I want to thank everyone who has EVER dowloaded my stuff! And an even bigger thankyou goes out to everyone who left a lovely comment or took the time to 'thank the artist'! I can't tell you how much it means to see that people actually LIKE my stuff!

IN DEFENSE OF TSR

Recently someone left a comment on one of my creations. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with my creation but rather was a slur against TSR with a link to a forum - where someone named Delphy was slurring TSR. In the postings frightened TSR members talked of changing passwords and closing their accounts. Its not the first time i have come across slur against TSR in cyberworld but IT IS the first time someone has left a comment on my things.. and I DONT APPRECIATE IT. I dont appreciate others downloading MY item and seeing that link in my comment section. So i have reported it and I WILL be deleting it. Because RL is so busy for me lately I havent had a chance but i intend to REBUKE the person who left that comment. They had no place leaving that comment on my creation when it had nothing to do with my item or me!

I joined TSR about 4 years ago as  new sims player .. looking for neat new things for my game. After many months of being a "downloadds" junkie i began to submit my own lots. I have always enoyed TSR and have NEVER had a problem. I have had some nasty people say things to me SINCE i began to create.. but otherwise i have made friends and i appreciate the fact that I have been a free member for 4 years ( mainly cuz my hubby objects to me paying due to our current finaincial situation and I must listen to my hubby) TSR has never hassled me in anyway .. but have allowed me to freely share my creations .

I personally really enjoy TSR and the fact that i can post a blog and submit creations or stories or screenshots - free!

To all those haters out there.. if you dont like TSR then LEAVE! Dont post hateful comments in someones else page. I have read many hateful forums discussing TSR - well i say 75% of TSR is Free Content. Only a small fraction is pay items. Geesh people - it costs money to run a huge site like this! Why shouldnt they make some items pay by asking for people to subscribe? And there are literally tens of thousands of AWESOME FREE custom content  on this site. So what are all thses people griping about?? If it were illegal EA would of shut this site down LONG AGO! None of the pay custom content is an actual MAXIS item!

Some of these haters - it sounds to me that they are just angry that they werent ingenius enough to think of a site like this first or they never were good enough to become a featured artist and are jealous ! Or maybe they are just evil and vindictive and have no life so they have NOTHING BETTER TO DO then cause crap. GET A LIFE!

 UPDATE:  I went to the person who left the comments GB and told them off  ( as graciously and without foul language). I hope TSR bans them. Thanks to everyone who left comments on this blog post . TSR is a great place and in the above blog I didnt even touch the surface on all that TSR offers- such as: tutorials, contests, forums with tonnes of help for any problem you might encounter, and on and on. It truly is the best Sims site on the net and none other even come close. All those gripers and haters out there griping about TSR being a PAY SITE- ---gimme a break..it must cost a fortune to run this site..the bandwidth and storage. And of course they are going to have to pay some people to run it .. its alot of work for petes sake. A year membership is what about $57 a year?? talk about cheap!! My 16 yr old son plays TIBIA ( a role playing quest type game) and its $30 for just 3 months!! So TSR is pretty darn cheap - considering the vast amount of custom content on here - plus tutorials etc. So LONG LIVE TSR!! I certainly didnt read in any of these forums anyone griping about all the other pay sites out there...

Although I cannot afford a membership I try to help TSR out by way off my creations- perhaps something i make will draw new members.

And as for  the whole Shakeshaft thief thing -  Only God knows the truth but I cannot see someone as talented as Shakeshaft having to resort to stealing some meshes. Who knows if the person who was stolen from doesnt have a vendetta against TSR and or Shakeshaft and did it deliberately to make Shakeshaft and Thomas look bad. Or perhaps SOMEONE else ( like one of thsoe pirates)And also to cause TSR to lose member-s which has already happened. There is already a pirate site that offers FA creations for free! Who exactly do they think they are? They offer any pay /donation item from not just TSR but all sims site out there and its totally disgusting! Who are they to do that? Do they make the rules? NO- they are just some whackjobs that are spitey and are willing to steal etc for thier "CAUSE". Get a life! its a friggin video game. Anyway I just wanted to add this...

Pirate Chests

I have only found 11!! Just 2 more to go!! And I have looked everywhere, so I am beginning to think I will NEVER find the other 2!! ***sigh***  :D  Since I never win anything anyway, I suppose its just as well!  ;)  PS: After I wrote this I found another one which now makes a total of 12!!!! Just ONE MORE to go!! :D Why this makes me so happy is a mystery to me--I've never won so much as a mug from TSR! Of course I haven't entered too many competitions or bought a whole lot of lottery tickets either!  :D  And there are hundreds of thousands of TSR-ians who will end up entering this particular contest! So good luck to you all and congratulations to whoever wins, you lucky puppy, you!! ;)

It's been forever!

I hadn't realized how long it had been since I was last by. I have to change that for sure. :) I just got the TSR newsletter, hadn't seen one of those in a while...

I've just recently moved and am in the process of getting all settled in. My computer badly needs to be redone and then I really want to start Simming (and creating!) again.

Definetly Sims2 :-)

I decided today: yes, despite all the trouble I have to go through *again* (because of all lost data) I will indeed go for Sims2 a second time :-)

I will start with buying Super Deluxe and add expansions slowly... (whenever I find a good deal on Ebay or something)

I am so excited about this, have been thinking about nothing but Sims for days now *lol* (Well, okay, of course there were lots of "real life" topics too... my daughter got an operation today for example... I just meant: whenever I was *dreaming* there were only Sims in my mind ;-)

Can't wait to get Super Deluxe!!

Just to let you know I haven't forgotten, I haven't thrown away my notes, and I haven't decided not to type them up. I've been a very busy bee, but I'm hoping to get them written up before Easter :)

Complaints About My Maxis Match Creative Blankets

Apparently, there have been some complaints about the item set here.

I used Solfal's Mesh, which of course, is Subscriber Only. The blanket builds creativity and also fun points. It's not 'just a rug'...but, for those that wanted a free mesh. I have recolored a free mesh, using the same textures to make Maxis Matching Nursery Blankets...erm, rugs. They don't do anything for your toddler, but sit on the floor and look nice.
