Pending Submissions
Morning all- its a sunny plus 7 in SW Ontario this morning! Hoping it will warm up this afternoon. Sitting here in my robe drinking my coffee I thought i would post an update before i begin to get ready for my day ( which is a relatively busy one).
I wanted everyone to know that because of the Submissions manager being away on vacation.. i still have 13 items pending approval. Some beddings and 3 heart bed recolors that have been hanging around for almost 2 weeks now. Finally my two latest Starter houses were approved this morn - they come out on the 4th. I have had to re-submit quite a few items that were rejected . I never get things rejected but I guess I am not the only one getting things rejected for odd reasons. Obviously the person covering for the submissions manager is overwhelmed so i will just try to be patient and i guess downloaders must be also. I have completed 3 new bedroom sets- one is another Jope bedroom #8 recolor ( this new one is with spring in mind) and also 2 recolors of Angelamveliza's Colonial bedroom. Late last night I began working on AMV's Heavenly Teen room set- so far everything looks pretty good :) I also had a really good idea for myself re: recolors. I really enjoying doing whole sets but i have decided to make my "own sets" so to speak - using different things from different creators to make an overal pacakge. it may require downloaders to have to get a bunch of different mesh files - for that Im sorry. With the slow submission approval rate please dont expect these new bedroom sets for at least another week - hmm maybe longer if the manager ( Girl from mars) doesnt return soon. I just didnt bother uploading the sets yet - I will most likely tonight but havent stressed out about it as they wouldnt get approved right away anyhow. The down side is that the longer it takes the more i have to upload as I create more.. then it becomes a long process of hours and hours to upload all the sets for me LOL.
REAL LIFE is still busy - my youngest Mia's 4 month old kitty ( her name is Phoebe) was stepped on Sunday night. My hubby ( who walks with a cane and has trouble with stairs) was walking down the stairs about 10 pm sunday night and puss n boots was coming UP the stairs and decided to scuttle under his feet. well Paul stepped on her even though he tried to avoid doing so- without throwing himslef down an entire flight of stairs! The result: a seriously injured kitty who had to be rushed to EMERG. originally the vets thought she had internal bleeding etc and tried to milk $800 for a one night ICU stay for kitty or they were just going to send her home if I didnt pay - even though she was injured and they werent sure of all her injuries! After I lost my mind on them ( using foul language) - its a long story okay- they let her stay and only charged me $200. ( Good thing i am not afraid to freak out at injustice) She ended up having a dislocated jaw - and after a long night of prayer from me.. she returned home Monday doing well. Presently she is doing great - eating soft cat food, playing etc and is down in her dosage of pain meds. But all week thats what i have been doing - besides all the rest of my busy busy life- I have been Florence Nightengale to my teeny kitty ( whom I adore). So creating has been a slower process - only after 10 pm or so at night- but i have still been getting thinsg done! i really want to try my hand at meshing - and one of these days i will get around to it. Since i am so dang stubborn I am still using MS Paint to recolor LOL. Havent touched the trial version of paint shop pro I downloaded in weeks. And of course i havent tried clothing again. Maybe someday - who knows!? There is never enough time in life.. as I have also been trying to spend more time with my family at night also. And the weather is nicer so i have had the doggie out more...
So look for my new sets shortly.. and my starter houses. OH - I almost forgot - i built two new houses too! Havent uploaded thsoe either - and also I have a bunch of build items i have recolored as I wanted to use those in my lots - and I need to upload those too. I never did finsih that bathroom floor and tile wall set from Christmas and i did go back and look at it and poo-poo' d it. I have gotten better at recoloring since then so for me to finsih it I would have to totally re-do it.. and I dont know if I have the patience for that.

Very upset
I just got done reading the news from here bout all the false reports. i've been a part of the sims resource in one form or another since the sims 1. sure, i've had to remake my accounts cuz i dont remember them anymore, but i remember when this place was only the sims 1 and i spent all day downloading stuff cuz i had dial up LOL. i cant say im shocked that people are accusing this site of these things. BUT as someone who can't never afford to buy a subscribtion ever, i can also understand why some people want to pirate files. my problem, LOL, i see both sides of things, good and bad.
However, to say that tsr would ever do any of those things is horrid. i know for a fact that this site would never do anything like that. hell, this site is the only site i trust, and although i wish i could get a lot of the pay stuff, i will still only download from this site. its proven for years to me that its a safe site and i've never gotten any virus from this site. i have from others though. i will only upload to this site because i trust them. i've been a free person since the sims 1. i can't afford to even buy the games (they have all been gifts). although i wish some of the better pay stuff was free, i can also understand why it isn't. its like what we in life do, we hord the great stuff and give others the good stuff LOL. does that make sense? lol, but anyway, tsr is the best site out there, even if it is a paysite. I will always be a part of this site because i trust them completly.

In a pickle
Well I'm counting down to the sims3. Ive preordered the standard edition ..... I don't need a plumbob USB drive and I never look at bonus DVD's of how a game was created etc, the only reason I would upgrade to deluxe is for content ....... and here I am in a pickle...... is a sports car worth an extra $20? Is this the only extra content? Does anyone else have an opinion and find themselves in the same jam? So here I ask the question ...... deluxe or not to deluxe?
First MESH!!!!!
I created my first MESH .. YESS!!! I was trying that for 2 years now and I finally made it. Lots of credits goes to Murano (Cedric), ulkrhsn (Ülker) and agus :) who where so patient in teaching me how Simpe works. Thank you guys so, so much for being so nice with me, I know I am slow ... .
Well, what i want to say is: The Mesh is not mindblowing (only an edited maxis mesh), but hey, it's my first and it will be included into my next upload "The Joker". So if you guys like the hair, I'm going to recolor it for you :).

OMG i have no patience!!!! I have 3 lots still pending they have been pending for nearly a week :( i hate the waiting to be approved bit, once they have been approved its fine lol, just means i end up making more lots to upload lol :D

Finally, a New Hairstyle!
Hi everyone!
Well, now that school is coming to a near end, I have managed to create some new hairstyles! Introducing the PUNK! Hair Collection:
Hopefully it'll be coming soon, and get accepted within the next few days. I hope to keep doing more hairstyles in the near future. The next thing I plan on loading up is Sunsilk Hair 2. As for my story Forgotten Redemption chapter 6, keep an eye out for it, it should eb out very soon! ;)

Getting back into it....
The other day I came home to find my laptop sitting on the table in the living room. My sister told me that my nephew played The Sims. We talked about how we havent really been playing the game lately. We dont have the best computers to be running the game but the game play is pretty smooth. Since I have nothing better to do right now, Im thinking about creating a new family and getting back into the game. I came and downloaded some new things so that was a booster right there. Im really excited to put use the things I have downloaded over the past couple games. So yippy for me as I get back into the game.
Maybe Sims2 again?
When I quit Sims2 (more than 2 years ago) I deleted all my downloads (darn....) and deinstalled and sold the game plus all expansions.
After my decision to not buy Sims3 I am honestly considering to play Sims2 again... there is so much beautiful stuff out there and I could get many of my old downloads back still. (Not all of them, some were donation etc... oh, idiot me, I shouldn't have deleted everything... I spent so much time (months and months) sorting my downloads and editing them... wow, all that work lost...)
I am not sure... there was a reason I quit of course - many reasons even. I didn't have enough time (and still don't), the game crashed over and over - even without any downloads! - and because of all the work I had with editing the files (mostly skin files... but as I always used a base from someone else I couldn't upload them here, they were just for personal use) I didn't get to actually play the Sims for many months - which is ridiculous... as I just did that for improvement of the game of course.
The TIME I wasted on all that... unbelievable.
And now I'd have to spend a huge amount of money to re-buy everything plus new expansions etc. and maybe even some stuff packs... (as I see so much phantastic houses here for example which need all stuff packs...)
Phew.
Still I'd love to play Sims again so very very much.... For many years Sims were my passion. And as I am surfing Sim sites again since some time I recognize I'm still addicted... (guess that's the same as with alcohol - once you've been an alcoholic you stay that for your whole life even of you don't drink anymore ;-)
*sigh* I can't decide.... to sim or not to sim... that's the question here. (Hm... Hamlet's answer was "not to be" if I remember correctly, so that would mean not to sim... but who is Hamlet anyway? ;-)

Hey everybody,
Yesterday was the worst day! (for reasons beside it being monday--mondays are always bad) I saved Episode 2 to a USB drive because I was going to work on it at school..well like a dummy, i left my usb drive at school so I wasn't able to submit my story last night as planned. i was so bummed!! i went to go do it and freaked out because i'd lost all that work!!! But luckily, someone was nice enough to turn it in to the librarian so now my usb and Episode 2 are safely back in my hands. I will never make that mistake again!! i couldnt bear it. Anyhoot, the good news is, it's all ready to be uploaded so as SOON as i get home, i'm going to submit it. Sorry guys!

Gone with the Wind skins
This week I am working on some skins based on the movie Gone with the Wind -- my favorite movie!! I have had some skins in my game from other very talented skinners (DeAnne, Glory Be, Daboo and Ana), but I needed a few more. Scarlett and Rhett just don't have enough to wear. I may also be doing a face for Scarlett as well. I currently use the Scarlett face from Sim Skins (pay site), but it doesn't quite work well with the head mesh I want my Scarlett to use. The face I use for Rhett can be found at Sims Go Go Go. I highly recommend it. Dean does fabulous work.
Clothing
Well, I have gotten in a rut with recoloring objects. I still love the recoloring, but was getting bored. I have been playing with body shop and will have some clothing recolors coming up.
Clothing is a lot more detailed and takes me a little longer, but hopefully when I get used to it I'll be able to get up to speed.
Sims 3
I'm bored with Sims 2, so am not going to do anything until Sims 3...have to move with the times, man.
Why is it & what if.
I know that I myself am somewhat guilty of it myself. What is "it" you ask? Well I've noticed over & over & over again that the numbers just don't seem fair. When I look on any given item or set; I notice that there are loads of downloads, only a handfull of "thank you"s (the thank you button) and hardly any comments telling artists what people think of their work. Well obviously a lot more people donwload than ever bother to click the "thank you" button OR leave a nice comment.
So here is my question: What would happen if artists pulled any & all items they made but for which you did not bother to thank them or leave a comment about it? I know I personally would loose quite a bit of things that I really do like. For the most part these things would be single items (NO this does NOT make it "OK" for me or anybody to do) & also a lot of items from other web-sites.
OK not all sites make it that easy to figure out how to thank the person, and others are in a forieghn language. But why is it this way for TSR where it is super easy to find how to thank the artists? I do not know how to make anything for the Sims in the way of custome content downloads, so if it were not for the wonderful talent of the Sims2 community we would be stuck with 100% MAXIS! When was the last time you played with NOTHING in your game?
And one other thing that I think many downloaders forget about is that each and every one of the artists is a REAL person, whith a real life and feelings and a few kind words can make their day. Seeing as they spend a lot of time and effort in making the custom content we all enjoy so much, I don't think that taking a few minutes to give our thanks and appreciation is too much to ask. And since it takes them hours or days or more to make the custom content, I think less than 5 minutes to click the "thank you" button, and SAY something nice in the comments is NOT asking all that much.

Men's Everyday Clothing
Okay, the results are in...the most popular vote was for Everyday male outfits. It seems there are not enough of these here at TSR or in the game! So, in return I am going to attempt to make several groups of t-shirts and jeans for our males sims! I hope you all like them!

omg! this sux! i think it's because of the ear infection. I came home today, and i just felt sore and cold(it was a windy day), but i was soooo cold, i could feel a fever!!! being sick suxs...i was doing a-okay until that ear infection! well....nyquil again tonight. or whatever meds i need to take!!! aahhhh!
April Updates!
Here's a few updates for April. Just the robes for now, they're from the Kitchen & Bath Stuff Pack. You have to have the stuff pack for them to show up in your game. I'll probably end up with another update near the end of the month. I'm working on some residential lots and I have some more wall siding downloads to go along with them.
Also, I've updated my old wall files to include collection files. So if any of you guys like to keep your stuff organized with collection folders you can download those now.
I hope you all enjoy. Thank you all for downloading and commenting on my creations. I'm having trouble keeping up with the comments so I haven't been commenting back but I really do appreciate all the kind words and support!

Finally!
I made a decision! Miracles do happen, lol. So after working through 4 different ideas for doors, I have finally settled on idea #2... and part of idea #1.
See, I liked the double doors I made for idea #1.
The problem was it didn't translate to a single door well. That's what can make door sets a pain: what looks good as a double doesn't always look good as a single and visa versa. Thus my moving on to other ideas.
Idea #2 was the most obvious, with three squares of glass to match the style of the windows. So I refined my first try and I think came up with a good one.
So I should have a set out soon ;)
Also, still working on recolors for the Breezeway curtains as many people seem eager for those. So if anyone wants a particular color let me know. So far I have Blue, Cream and Gray/Silver on the list of colors, plus two new patterns.

Manor House Kitchen Appliances Pack
I will be uploading an appliances pack add-on for the MH Kitchen. It should be available for download either Thursday or Friday. The appliances pack is a set of 11 different recolors of the MH Kitchen stove, stove hood, dishwasher and trash compactor. It also includes Freetime and Seasons ready versions of the fridge, dishwasher and trash compactor.

Hi, I almost forgot my tsr-blog. This weekend me and my boyfriend have redecorated (if you can call it that, sounds good in swedish anyway) our livingroom. Changed the colors from red to green. And moved the furnitures. I really felt like decorating in sims. It became soo much better. But today we have to go too IKEA again because they did'nt have everything we wanted yesterday.

Where has she been?!...
Well, it turns out that my wonderful cat has decided that she is the recipient of my worldly goods when I finally kick the bucket...
That's the only reason I could think that she would take a flying leap at the ladder I was climbing, lose all cat-like grace and precision, and barrel into the back of my knee instead of landing (catlike) on the ladder...which (for her sake) she had BETTER have been aiming for! This, of course, caused a moment of panic, confusion, and screaming as the ladder and I gracelessly plummeted to the floor of my hallway. Of course, said cat was (by this time) already safely back in the living room casually grooming herself as if she hadn't been the cause of my recent decent into pain.
Needless to say...well, yeah...I already said it...my ability to sit at my computer for long periods of time has been curtailed somewhat due to the back and head injuries I got from my graceless feline and the uncompromising ladder!

I will be getting to that pile of wonderful comments you have all left me shortly, as I am taking some medications right now that make me loopier than usual, and I don't want to fall asleep on the keyboard. :o Give me a day or so to recuperate, and I will let you ALL know just how wonderful I think you are for your feedback and comments. awful week
i've had an awful week. i was sick for about 3 days, then i got an ear infection. i can barely hear out of my right ear. this suxxx! this is one of the worst PHYSICAL weeks i've ever had. hope i get better soon!!!

New Skin Tone: Witch & Warlock Skin
On the way from me is a witch/warlock style skin tone! Including some lovely features including yellow teeth (with plaque, of course!), and spotty green skin! Look out for that appearing in the Skin Tones/Fantasy section some time next week!

What I have been up to...
So I haven't blogged in well over a week and wanted to let everyone know what has been happening...I am feeling better gallbladder wise so thanks to anyone who was holding me up in prayer. I havent had an attack since my last blog. My energy level has been a little low but then evryone in my house has been battling the same problem. My dog has a very bad cold ( most likely caught from jumping in the cold water of the little creek that runs thru the dawg park- he jumped in it a few times on really cold days . But he is a lab and labs love water! Even if its freezing!LOL) so i have been caring for him. I have been busy working and also spending more time at night with my family.
We have a new addition to our family this past week - a little tabby cat with white socks. Her name is phoebe, she is just a tiny 4 months and my 11 yr old Mia ( aka princess moo-moo on here) found her on a deserted trail near our house. She was a stray kitten with no collar or tags, skinny , shivering- most likely abandoned- and is absolutely adorable! So now she has a good home and has certainly made herself right at home. She and Reuben get along - well reuben likes her better than she likes him. That might be from her having a previous bad experience with dogs while she was a street cat. Phoebe is answered prayer though as a few months back Mia asked me to pray with her to God to give her a kitten. She asked for a tabby with all white paws ( that look like socks) a female who was mellow. Sure enough Phoebe is ALL those things. When Mia found her she said she immediately knew that she was the answer to her prayer! ( My hubby and i had just told her a week before that we wouldnt be able to get a kitten right now as it was a financial issue - mainly we couldnt really afford the shots etc right now)However what do you do when GOD answers a little girls prayers?? SAY NO to GOD?? lol- i think not. Sonow we are a REALLY full house.. with kids and almost every species of animal LOL- we are just missing a pet bird now and then we would be complete! Geesh....Paul and I must be gluttons for punishment!
As for creating - I have still be diligent to create and currently have 31 itmes awaiting approval for over a week now. The problem lies in the fact that the submissions manager is away on vacation and apparantly the person covering for her is not as fast or skilled in the ways of submission approval so its taking ALOT longer. My opinion is it might be a good idea for TSR to fully train others for the event that someone needs a vacation.. and I would gladly take a job doing that :) It would be even nicer to get paid a small wage for that kind of work as I would assume its very time consuming! So if any staff are reading this I am your girl! LOL Anyhoo- I have all thsoe items waiting PLUS I worked last night on 2 new bedroom sets - recolors of Angelamveliza's Colonial Bedroom. I still need to upload those.. and I am half done a new house. Just need to put some finsihing touches on it and do some landscaping...so there is still lots on the way :)

NFL Tops

Hacks, Yay!
I love hacks. With hacks I can make all sorts of bizarre things happen in my game. It makes it easier to destroy the lives of Sims built to die, and easier to keep the Sims I want to live to have prosperous lives. It's been so long since I've played hack-free that I don't know how to do it anymore, but that's okay.
After all, Sims aren't real. I like making their lives as unreal as their existence.
