WOOO HOOO! Finally I can recolor custom meshes!

Finally i figured out how to recolor Custom content meshes on SimPE. I had been missing a tiny little step.. i was renaming a file when i shouldnt of. How stupid!!All this time and it was one stupid little thing i was missing! ( or rather I was screwing up!) So i have recolored and uploaded my first one tonight .. Holy Simoly's Arizona sofa set. It should be out in a few days. I cannot tell you all how absolutely thrilled and relieved I am that i have conquered that danged mountain! I felt so ridiculously stupid for the longest time cuz i just couldnt understand why it wouldnt work for me! A huge SHOUT OUT OF THANKS to tlaska and her tutorial Create Like a Pro from the Get Go - part 2. It was very straighforward and simple. As well I sincerely thank the recolorers in the forums who offered tonight to walk me thru on messenger if I still didnt get it to work. Your offers touched my heart. Thanks so much for your care! But thankfully now you dont need to!

Now this opens the doors for my creativity in a seriously massive way. Say good bye to Maxis stuff folks ! ha HA! No I shouldnt say that as I do like recoloring some maxis stuff and I am sure I will still do it but not so much now! I have some amazing ideas floating around for various stuff!

Next steps: get my website up and running!, making clothing and then eventually - maybe by summer?? on to understanding and mastering 3D meshing and making my own meshes. That is MUCH more difficult but the fact that others have done it and are doing it means that i TOO can learn.

Of all the Bad Luck

I have been playing all the pre-made Pleasantview families in an effort to keep their aging up to the Goths. So the first thing that happens is that I go into the Caliente sisters house - Dina hm-hms Mortimer who is waiting outside than they get called to go on an outing and the outing is with Alexander, Don Lothario-Goth- Cassandra, and Bella. So Don reverts to his old ways which sends Cassie, Bella, Dina and Nina Ballistic at him and each other. Fight galore so now I am going in to see the damage to the Goths.

Back from the dead :D

Hi everyone, I haven't made ANY creations since I can't even remember when! It's insane....I've been so busy with school and life that I couldn't bring myself to create any. Also, I know this will disappoint some but I've started playing Sims 2 now because I have a super computer haha that can actually play it. So unfortunately that means I probably won't be making any more Sims 1 creations. Sorry!

Also I will start to upload some new profile pictures and banners since TSR's format changed ;)

I've recently just uploaded a set of eyeshadows called MACpigments for Sims 2. So I'm excited to see those up and hopefully you guys will like them! :)

Texture Challenge 127

Well after so many years here at TSR I have  FINALLY got around to participating in the Texture Challenges. I normally dont put sets in a Zip file .. I use batch upload instead but in order to upload the room set i did for this weeks TC i had to put in a zip. Really.. it is continuous learning with sims2 ..LOL.. as I am always learning something new! So I did a room theme... i had a scad of different things i could of done with the available textures .. but only did one. Hope somebody out there likes what i came up with. And of course i used maxis objects.. i mean geesh! I really gottas figure of CC meshes and SimPE. I did another attempt last week and after two trys with two different meshes it STILL didnt turn out. I have NO IDEA what i am doing wrong .. and I even followed a tutorial step by step. LOOL.. there has got to be a resaon WHY it is not working .. higher forces working against me? LOL As there is absolutely no other explaination.. unless of course its because i am just dumb ( ha HA).. but i dont think that is why !

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.. this is the first time I have been able to sit down today.. and its 5 pm! ( almost time to start cooking supper for petes sake!) Before I know it it will be back to work again! Sigh. The weekends are just too short.

So off I go to upload ( it seems that I spend an awful lot of time uploading ..lol) I have tonnes of stuff to upload besides the TC 127 stuff. Caio for now!

Plans for the Goth Family

I think I am going to stop playing the Goths when Mortimer and Bella die. It is after all their story that Cassandra is telling so it would be wrong to continue it beyond their deaths. I will go back to my legacy family after that.

first blog.

not posted a blog here so i might as well get started.

right now i am on a mini-holiday. yes, five days. that means three extra days off for me. *yey*. so i am pretty much doing what i usually do. going on my computer, listening to music, writing, singing, reading, playing sims 2..

speaking of sims 2 - i just got sims 2 mansion and garden stuff pack. woo! it's pretty good actually. it's funny when your sim kneals down at the flowers and sniffs them.

so i made my sim a mansion, not pretty stylish. I just made the garden and the home but i only made two of the rooms( the nursery and pet room) because i couldn't be bothered doing the rest. and my dog, Jolly Wings, is pregnant to my other dog, Muggle Wings. it takes them forever to give birth. i just want the puppies! she's still pregnant and won't hurry up and give birth. Muggle and Jolly keep fighting for some reason, Muggle keeps attacking, growling and chasing her. thank god for cheats and hacks so I can control them. i don't want their 100/100 relationship ruined. it took them forever to get to that level.

i also bought mr. magoriums wonder emporium - which i bought with the money to get sims 3 but it is delayed until june *cry*

Birthday Wishes

Hello all, I just wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to pop along and wish me a Happy Birthday, it's much appreciated. Today I'm not doing anything much,  but tomorrow my dearly beloved is taking me to Maxi's, which is my favourite Chinese restaurant, for lunch and dim sum!

I got an odd assortment of presents, some books, a lovely scarf, and a bath caddy thing which means I can read my book in the bath without it getting wet!

Hi Everyone

I am currently in the process of putting together 2 New Developments/Projects... whatever you want to call them, to show off here at TSR.

My idea, is to take some of the Maxis Properties, already created in the Base Game and update them. All external features will remain the same on each of the developments, however, internally, things will be different on each of the Properties. The layouts may all be the same, however, the items used and colours won't be. I hope that makes sense?

Hello everyone I am almost home! Leaving Alaska tommorrow and I will be able to Sim again. Boogie Woogie said it best in her comment on my last post..."I am going through withdrawls!" I miss the simmies so much...So I will be able to upload soon as I get off this terrible wireless slow connection! I miss my desk top! Any way just an update Happy Valentines Day!!!! Happy Simming!

Finally

Well I've got the latest stucco up - a lovely plum colour.  A coffee stucco will hopefully soon follow and I'm aiming for a light cream/off white to finish the project.  If anyone would like a certain colour just leave a comment!

Well made up the choice on the defaults. I am usign Rensims Hi-Res Peau Defaults. They are gorgeous not as shiny as Enaylas skins but not as Maxisy as Selzi's.

I have submitted Chapter 4 of Reunion- Babies and more babies.

Chapter 5 is on the way and it will be long and essentially nothing but birthdays- Gunther becomes a toddler than a child, Neptune Goth Terrano is born, Cherie has her toddler birthday than her child birthday, the twins and Katelyn become teens, Morts and Bella reach elder and retire- Chapter 6 I am sending everyone on vacation. I need to remember to use a large hotel because between the Goths and Goth Terranos there will be about 12 people on vacation.

Hi guys, I recently posted my new chapter of Love wish.... I specially made this very quickly because of Valentine's Day.

Sorry for the late, but because of some issues of University and a lot of things I counldn't make it.... I have classes since 7:00 to 3:30 (sometimes without recess.... :( ) well, I hope you like it... and maybe my next chapter (Final) is going to be ready for the next month, like in those days....

Skintones

I have been unable to makup my mind on default skintones lately. I was using Enaylas Pixie Defaults by Sausage but found them to shiny and my sims look plastic. I am in the middle of trying the 2nd Anniversery Skintones by Selzi (I liked her face template replacements and decided to try her skintones) but they are both to Maxisy and Yellowy. So I am either going to move onto HP's Idolatry of the Flesh defaults or Rensims Peau Defaults I am going to try both in game and see how they work out. Normally I love Enayla's skintones but, I have been getting bored with them lately. So anyone who reads my stories will be noticing some skintone changes on my sims over the next few days. I will actually be changing right in the middle of Chapter 4 of my Goth family story just a forwarning.

My Lots, walls etc.

Hi everyone, I seem to have got in the swing of starting to submit some stuff for you all. I haven't quite got my head around what requirements I have to recommend for you to be able to use my stuff.

I have every Expansion and add on for The Sims 2, so I am not sure if I am supposed to recommend that you need everything like me, to be able to use my stuff. I think all my wallpapers should be ok with just the base Game? Can some of you let me know when you download something of mine, how you have got on?

I am working my way reading through Tutorials, so i can be a more confident submitter. Hopefully I will know what i'm doing soon. ha ha...

I love to build crazy and unusual stuff, so expect more crazyness to come! (My hubby doesn't share my love of The Sims and can't understand why I get so excited about stuff I submit). Well It takes a fan to know a fan, I think that makes sense!

Duplex!

I'm confused.  I don't understand how snapshots that I take could come out different sizes when I don't even know how to change the size snapshot I'm taking.  I've done very little in the way of pictures in game, and now that I am uploading my lots I am finding I know very little about snapshots. 

*sigh*  Well, Double Duplex made it up, and should be published tomorrow, Feb. 14.  Dutiful Duplex, on the other hand, needs new snapshots taken because some how I took two different sized ones and I need to figure out what I did.  lol

I'm also trying to deal with bank issues and phone company.  gah.

50th post

Well this blog post is my 50th post. Gee I just dont shut up eh? LOL

Hope everyone's week has gone well.. mine started out rough but is getting better. TGIF 2-morrow! Cant wait.. its been a busy week - work wise! I had two houses today and somehow I ended up really hurting my left shoulder again! ( for those of you who dont know - i have my own cleaning biz. I used to have employees but they were a royal pain so i downsized to just moi. I prefer to work alone without having to worry about whether people are gonna show up for work or not! I dont make as much money doing it alone .. but I do have at least one house everyday and so I make a decent living. I make as much as i would if i worked 40 hours a week for a cleaning company.. but i only work 4 hours a day MAX.So it surely works for me!) Anyways i am in pain.. but i will live! LOL

Tonight I have been making shower curtains... I have a whole whack of bedding coming out and soon shower curtains.. as I made 15 so far. This time I opted for the expensive Colonial Tub as I have previously made a tonne of cheap shower curtains. Figured this time I would let the rich Sims have some nice curtains to choose from. So i hope you all like them.. some are fancy , others are just plain fun. By all means if anyone would like to see more expensive shower curtains then just write in my GB or something. I personally like the variety of beddings and shower curtains etc.  That is why I make them!!- i figure others would like the same variety! When I play Sims i also like variety in my clothing so no two sims in the neighborhood are wearing the same outfit ( as wouldnt THAT be embarrassing !?LOL)

Oh I also made some recolors for the Majestic Medieval bed frame from university. You know the curtained ones.. well I recolored the curtains in plain shades so people could match them to their specific beddings!

I havent worked on my Website in 2 days ..lol.. last night I was SOOO tired i was falling asleep here at my computer sitting up so i hit the sack at 9:30! Tonight I have been doing something else..making shower curtains.. and am already starting to yawn and its only 8:39! Geesh - i am getting old?? i will go back and attempt the website on the weekend.. first I want to do some reading on HTML coding and I also have Websites for Dummies checked out from the library .. I am on Chapter 2 so i need to keep reading before i go and try anything else. Of course I have this  vision in my head of what i would like the website to look like .. however it involves CSS and i am not sure how to do that. If it ends up my first website isnt as fancy.. as long as its functional and easy to navigate then thats okay. Once I start my web design night courses and get more knowledgable about HTML i can always upgrade and fix up the site. Right? right... My problem is always that I want everything to be absolutely perfect and well that aint gonna happen if I want to have the site up and running by next month.

Well thats all i think for this post.. need a hot shower and then off to Simsland to take ingame screenshots of the shower curtains and then of course uploading them before bed! Nite

Gossip Girl project: Checked!

.. it's time for another project from my side. Not that I get to publish any of them anyway usually. But now I surely will. I've even started! The new Gossip Girl project. I'm so addicted to that show, and then especially Blair and Chuck. Guess I will mostly focus on the Waldorf Apartment in the beginning. It'll probably be so full of CC that I cannot upload it, but I will surely make some CC on my own which I would like to share with everyone else .... Starting on with some paintings, and then I will make some walls later.

Just wanted to let you know, that...

...  all items that I previously uploaded on MTS2 and upload again on here are Re-worked and improved to the ones I uploaded on MTS. (except Alan Rickman, all thats new is a teen face)

Upcoming next is Lord Voldemort.

Problems

well i had 5 houses ready to package and upload...than my computer crashed.  so all the wonderful houses i had made, i lost.  I"m working on remaking some of them, but it will take a while.  Mean while, I"m currently working on a wonderful house that I lost.  The only clue im giving is that there is a river through it :D.  I"m working on it right now, just finished putting the wallpaper on and working on gettting it furnished.  Remember, if u want any of my houses unfurished, just let me know!

Hello!!

Iam slowly learning my way around my profile.. I finally spent some of my kudos to add some more features.. Right now Iam working on more paintings and taking my first steps into learning to recolor objects.. I also have a beach house Iam working on and a castle with a moat requsted by my son lol.

The first of the new paintings should be avaible in a few days.. I have 2 current themes going for my paintings.. Maps and Storms.

Once I learn to use SimPE a little better I would like to venture into creating custom rugs.. So far Iam still confused lol. Most of the tutorials I have found so far are older and do not reflect the version of SimPE I have.. So we will see.

HTML Headache!!!!!!!!

Okay .. i here and now commend the staff here at TSR for the amount of time and effort they put into Version 7! I say this because i just spent 4 hours trying to deal with my crappy looking website..LOL. Whatever it looks like now WILL NOT be the end result. But since I have no HTML experience i am getting furstrated. What a pain! Its okay .. it doesnt have to be built in a day! Nor will it be! Sigh. Patience Jackie.

Its alot of learning that I must do in order to get this thing up and running. I say April 1st is a good start date... but who knows it may be sooner. i am pretty dogged determined. Besides the web tools and resources ( articles etc) that my hoster provides.. I also have been reading WebSites for Dummies...lol. ( meaning ..me!) In the end I will have learned alot and in maintaining it I will learn more.. and like I said previously.. I will know whether or not I want to do it as a career.

Well enough for tonight.. LOL.. my brain hurts! I have a Valetnines curtian set I still need to upload so i am off to do that before I hit the hay! Nite!

to the Pinkness! At least for now, I've decided to be pink! I may be red or gray tomorrow, but for today I am pink. I've been trying out all the different colors at random times and have decided to go with this for a while.

My poll is getting a bit long in the tooth so I will have a new one for you before too long.

This week features the last of the sports cars and another Floppy Cushion living room.

Next week will have a Bathroom and another living room.
