Problems

well i had 5 houses ready to package and upload...than my computer crashed.  so all the wonderful houses i had made, i lost.  I"m working on remaking some of them, but it will take a while.  Mean while, I"m currently working on a wonderful house that I lost.  The only clue im giving is that there is a river through it :D.  I"m working on it right now, just finished putting the wallpaper on and working on gettting it furnished.  Remember, if u want any of my houses unfurished, just let me know!

Hello!!

Iam slowly learning my way around my profile.. I finally spent some of my kudos to add some more features.. Right now Iam working on more paintings and taking my first steps into learning to recolor objects.. I also have a beach house Iam working on and a castle with a moat requsted by my son lol.

The first of the new paintings should be avaible in a few days.. I have 2 current themes going for my paintings.. Maps and Storms.

Once I learn to use SimPE a little better I would like to venture into creating custom rugs.. So far Iam still confused lol. Most of the tutorials I have found so far are older and do not reflect the version of SimPE I have.. So we will see.

HTML Headache!!!!!!!!

Okay .. i here and now commend the staff here at TSR for the amount of time and effort they put into Version 7! I say this because i just spent 4 hours trying to deal with my crappy looking website..LOL. Whatever it looks like now WILL NOT be the end result. But since I have no HTML experience i am getting furstrated. What a pain! Its okay .. it doesnt have to be built in a day! Nor will it be! Sigh. Patience Jackie.

Its alot of learning that I must do in order to get this thing up and running. I say April 1st is a good start date... but who knows it may be sooner. i am pretty dogged determined. Besides the web tools and resources ( articles etc) that my hoster provides.. I also have been reading WebSites for Dummies...lol. ( meaning ..me!) In the end I will have learned alot and in maintaining it I will learn more.. and like I said previously.. I will know whether or not I want to do it as a career.

Well enough for tonight.. LOL.. my brain hurts! I have a Valetnines curtian set I still need to upload so i am off to do that before I hit the hay! Nite!

I Have Given In . . .

to the Pinkness! At least for now, I've decided to be pink! I may be red or gray tomorrow, but for today I am pink. I've been trying out all the different colors at random times and have decided to go with this for a while.

My poll is getting a bit long in the tooth so I will have a new one for you before too long.

This week features the last of the sports cars and another Floppy Cushion living room.

Next week will have a Bathroom and another living room.

i just want to say WOW and THANK YOU! I have reached 400 thousand downloads today! I was at 300 thousand just 3 short weeks ago! Geesh.. you all are makin me blush ..LOL.

Really Busy!!

 Hi everyone.. I am sorry if i havent been answering , writing back and creating.. I really want to , but my teacher Mr.Kelly is making us do tons of projects. So i have been trying to catch up.. Right now I   have made a house but still need to upload it.. I have a new project on any ANcient CIvilization of ur choice. I picked Ancient Egypt.. Well I have to go, byebye!

I'm back, after being hacked!!

I had some kind of serious trouble with my account and my mini-site for over a week. I just wasn't able to log in at all! While trying to get this fixed, I viewed my mini-site as a guest. To my horror, somebody had erased my presentation and written some false accusations about TSR instead! I could hardly believe my eyes. Also, my latest submission was nowhere to be found! And, despite requesting support from TSR, I didn't receive any confirmatory emails at all. It was as if my email address was gone, too!

At the end of the week I started to feel like Sandra Bullock in the film The Net. She had her identity erased by bad guys and replaced with a new one, complete with a criminal record! I really didn't know what to do or whom to turn to. If you can't log in to the site, you can't use support, send a PM, or even get in touch with anyone!

In the end, I created a new free membership account, just so that I could PM the staff about my problems. That finally helped! I received a new password, and IT WORKED!! Hallelujah!

The weird thing is, I then checked my support history, and there was none at all! As for my latest submission, it's nowhere!

Well, hopefully my existence is settled now. I'll have to make the submission again tomorrow (it's way past my bedtime right now). Keep your fingers crossed for me!

New Set Coming Soon

I am currently working on a brand new set!  It is another Maxis Match Set (I won't tell what it will match yet), but I should have it done soon.  By soon, I mean within the next few weeks, as I am working on the set a little bit at a time.  I currently have one object fully completed.  I will keep you updated on my progress on this upcoming set :-)

Hello Old Friends

I haven't been active at TSR lately, and I must say I REALLY want to change that! For what it is worth, even if I have to let some of the other things I've been into slide a bit--I want to come back to TSR and make it my "second home" like it once was!  I have really been missing it!

Sim2 online?

Now I heard they made a the sims online but recently I heard they disconnected that.So,why cant they make a sims 2 online for Pc? It would be totally awesome if we can make out sims then share them online live in the sim world.

Its official!

Happy monday! its gorgeous out today where I live .. spring is just around the corner! Finally! And funny .. as nature is being refreshed .. I too feel the same way. Along with the sunshine cmae a fresh new hope and new zeal that i have been lacking throughout this long cold winter!

So.. in my last blog i wrote of the website taking shape and form. And it is official. I registered and paid for web hosting and my domain name for my Sims site. So here is the URL.... www.mfgsims.com !! You can go check it out .. LOL.. but there is nothing there yet! Now I must put all the HTML coding together to get it up and running! I am sooooo excited! It will be alot of work but thats okay - i wanted to learn HTML anyways and my hoster has lots of free web tools and resources and tutorials to help get started! After doing my own site I will then know for sure whether i want to pursue web design and webamstering for a living! I am incredibly thankful for my husband Paul who is so supportive of me in all that i do! He realizes how much i love creating for you all ( and I also create for myself - but mostly for the public) My experience with Sims2 and TSR has brought out dormant creativity in me that i never really knew that I had. And for that i am thankful.. and I am thankful for all of you who are so faithful to download my things and leave such encouraging comments. You really have no idea how it affects me..not only does it make me smile but also pushes me to learn more , try harder, become more meticulous... all good things trust me.

I have no idea when my web site will open to the public... I am pushing for march 1 st but I am a novice so please all of you PRAY that my understnading is opened and that I will be quick to catch on!

Also whats new and exciting is that I found some terrific clothing sites and I am going to start trying to make some clothing. I have always wanted to but didnt feel very confident about it. But in the past couple of months I have begun to get better at re-coloring so I need to now try and branch out more.. custom content meshes and clothing. And then as I have mentioned before several times .. I will attempt to learn creating my own meshes.

The wonderful thing about creating is that i never run out of ideas for long.. every house I drive by gives me an idea for a lot.. ads and the Ikea flyer that comes in the mail cause me to desire to learn how to make that myself!LOL. I have sooo many ideas!And sometimes I am frustrated by my own skill limitations so theres that inner push to learn how to do more. Of course i have been over worked and stressed out and too tired to learn new things .. but I decided last night that I am going to take the imte necessary to learn.. I have to if I want to progress ahead.

So you can expect to see me grow and flourish in the next few months.. i know I can do it if I put my mind to it. I am a very determined person! And you all will be pleasantly surprised to see what I create!

As for upcoming stuff ... some new wall sets are coming out . ( i have been practicing) I have some Valentines themed beddings and curtains coming out too! As well as some other beddings with matching curtains. And two new lots.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hi guys!

Well, I've got some news! I'm moving! My fiance and I are moving back to America in mid-april! This means for me that I'm going to be super busy with preparations, and this means to you that I won't be uploading very many creations for a little while. I'll create and upload when I find the time, but expect to see a little less of me over the next few months. I do have a huge (Well, huge to me!) project pending in submissions, and another one approved and scheduled for publishing tomorrow! Again, thanks to all of you who have downloaded my creations! Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day! 

EDIT: Well, it looks like my fiance and I are being given a little more time to work with! So, it looks like I may be able to find some time for you guys after all! :P

Valentine's Day Update!

Hi guys! I know I haven't updated like I normally do and I'm sorry about that. I haven't been in much of a creative mood lately and I haven't played the game in some time. I do have some things I'm working on so instead of the normal monthly blog update I'll update as I upload the work.

Well, I'm here, and gonna be uploading heaps of Miami Vice stuff. There's nothing much else to do when its stinking hot! Thankfully over here in Australia its now raining. And beautiful. Now, if only it stayed like this for the rest of the year...

Lately I got a work and did quit the job so I had no time to share my houses. To bad I had no time to play Sims at all. But now when I am at home again I will share my creations again.

Never heard of TSR before?

But it's so cool. So far so good! I just registered with the site and I can't wait to get exploring and downloading :) I've been playing TS and TS2 for 6 years or more, pumped as for TS3 to be released!! Well I should leave here and maybe go play TS2 ;) Please come back and check for updates, hopefully there will be a story here in the next week! Happy simming :)

I Love FRAPS

I have begun using FRAPS for my screenshots. No more blurry nasty EA cameras. The pictures are clear and well defined and well lit. Yay- I might even get around to writing up my Goth family story soon. Just comparing the pictures I took before my last upload of Alex Goth in College - so yucky

Definately a mad cow

I have just discovered my dashboard - yes I have been a member for a long time but more or less lurrrrked on the outskirts of the TSR community.  But now I've decided to take the plunge and become more of an active member. 

I wish to thank all the wonderful members of TSR for their inspiration, advice, tutorials, and friendliness! 

Hopefully I can contribute and give back to the community that has given so much to me!

'My Baby Pony' Nursery Collection

Discovering things on the new site......

Well, I got some time this morning without my son hanging on me and was able to wander around the site. I initially didn't like the changes that were made. There are many features I would have liked to see kept. But there are alot of things I have found that I like. I love that you can buy parts of a mini site for your profile page. So I am working on updating my profile. Then I found that I have a blog and I don't have to spend Kudos on it! That's pretty cool.

As for creating, I haven't stopped. I have many more ideas and I have not finished my Studio K project. I was working on it and I discovered that the Leyris nurserie is kind of difficult to do the way I planned. So I am making a few nurseries, not exactly Studio K matching but cute anyway. My current one is a boy's nurserie. Here's a pic of some of it, I have more to finish yet,

It's a pretty extensive nursery and I am going to make some grow-up type stuff too so it can be used for children as well as babies. I should have it up soon(I hope).

Free Download - The Alta Apartments

After a nice game crash, here's another one, a blog entry emptying.

Now, this is just unfair. I feel like a 1.0 user, better put, I real loser.

After finally stopping to fume about the last game crash, I have made a nice long blog entry, and it gets emptied out all of a sudden. I'll be paranoic from now on, copying and saving all the time.

Anyway, what I was going to say in short, is that I decided to upload the small house I created for Jacob Black (and his dad), because eventually it is a cozy little home for a starter family and I decided that it was cute, really. It is on the beach (La Push First Beach, as in the book New Moon) the washed-on-the-shore tree trunk is there, surrounded by a pine forrest. Yes, it is supposed to be at a rainy northern territory, sorry folks, no palm trees this time. It also has a relatively huge garage, because that's what Jake is doing - besides being a warewolf - he builds cars. So I guess I will put a buildable car into the lot, so Free Time expansion pack will be needed. (And Nightlife, because of the cars.)

Hurray! The dream is materializing!

What the heck is she talking about? you are probably asking yourself. What dream?

The "dream " of having my own website! Thanks to a very special select artists blog today I discovered a great web hosting site.. its not free but it IS affordable ( to the point of convincing my hubby to pull out our weary credit card for yet another expenditure!)Ha HA! I am bubbling with glee! Woo Hoo! I can start out with free hosting but i wouldnt be able to access alot of the web tools and widgets they offer.. so i am willing to pay a monthly fee. ALSO it has a free BLOG I can sign up to ! Woooo Hoooo again! I really enjoy blogging but i am feeling just slightly stifled here at my beloved TSR as I would like to be able to do MORE with my blog. It seems I cannot post photos at the new version and well .. that makes it a little dull. Because.... my other dream ( which has been a lifelong one too) is too write. Wow.... my three favourite things .. alll in one. Creating for Sims2, writing AND showing off my photography cuz I just loooooove taking pics ( and would really like to take some courses on photography ). Now i ma sooo incredibly excite dot do daily blogging .. in color and with pictures ! Yippee!!!!!

So.. you all know what this means right? it means that my uploads to TSR are going to slow down considerably. 1.) because I will be working on my website and 2.) I will definately be wanting to use some of my creations for my own site instead of uploading everything here. This also means that i neeeed to get my butt into gear and learn recoloring of CC meshes..LOL...and also learn how to make clothing. Like I have mentioned before.. i am usually so tired at night from my day job that i just stick to the easy stuff ( stuff I already know how to do) and I dont end up learning anything new ... ( it's difficult to learn new stuff at my age as it is .. let alone when i am dog tired!)

Okay my peeps.. so i will keep everyone posted on my little websites progress. It will most likely be MFGSims2stuff OR plain ole MFGsims. ( the latter being easy to remember AND type!!) I will make sure to blog the web address on here AND put it in plainview in the ABOUT ME section of my TSR minipage

Now .. my hubby really needs to get home ( he is at the dog park) Hurry up already Pauly! LOL

3 new curtain sets coming out tomorrow -sunday!

So glad its Saturday today! I am supposed to go clean a house today - as I was so busy I couldnt fit it in this week ( its a once a month job) Its 4 single guys and they are horrible horrible slobs ( example - 45 minutes JUST to clean the shower alone) I am dreading going quite frankly!  But ..sigh.. money is money and I am in serious need of the money! Wish i were rich! My days of cleaning peoples dirty toilets would be OVER! LOL I would just hire people to do it for me and run my business!

Okay on to a new topic cuz the work topic bums me out! LOL

I had a bunch of beddings come out today and so far it has been terrific in way of downloads! So for anyone who has downloaded some of them I want you to know that the matching curtains for the majority of them come out tommorrow. I was quite happy with the way they all turned out and they all look great in the game!

My new Lot is now published!

Well despite the awful news about the sims 3 release delay,which started as a rumor that now is unfortunately true,this week came out pretty good for me.My grades at school were really good and I earned some reward money for them!Well yesterday my Outskirts of town apartments were published so if you'd like take a look here:

Medieval Outfits

I've seen plenty of fancy medieval gowns, with flowing trains, large bustles, and wide bell-shaped skirts. What I haven't really found is more -functional- dresses, more like peasant gowns. Things like tunics and breeches, and skirts. When I play my neighborhoods, most of my Sims wouldn't be dressed in full Court regalia, so it feels a bit silly to have them wearing a fancy outfit. I'm looking for -everyday- things, that a freeman or peasant would wear.

If I could do recoloring and/or custom outfits on my own, this is what I would make:

Simple, layered style dresses in under/overdress combinations, some with multi-tiered skirts
Skirt separates, in singles and tiered
Bodice separates, with various matching undershirts
Tunics, many of which could work with male or female
Breeches and pants, primarily for men

Honestly, I could take a world of ideas by taking some of the in-game outfits from World of Warcraft and translating those into TS2. That's where I'd really like to start, in fact -- there are a ton of clothing options that I would love to recolor anyway, and if I can't do it in that game I sure could do it in TS2 if I could only figure it out. It would give me a great number of options...

... if only I knew how to fiddle with them. I have zero graphic design skills, and 3D imaging isn't my strong point either. I've tried recoloring simple objects in the past, but with no assistance from someone who knows what they're doing I'm only shooting blanks. If I seriously (or even casually) wanted to work on putting these ideas into reality myself, I think I'd be a lot happier and more likely to actually complete it if I had a tutor or a 'class' I could sign up for, so that I could get some feedback and advice and suggestions -as I worked- on things. I'd rather put up nothing than put up a crappy recolor of something.

I have to install The Sims 2 after the reinstalling the system... I have a lot of new ideas for walls ;)

Up and Coming

What do you do when your wife returns after a 15 year absence, your daughter gets married and gives birth to twins and you son turns into a teen. Well if you are Sim City's own Simoleonaire Mortimer Goth you give your wife and family a 7 bedroom, 3 bathroom castle with a built in basement recreation room, a greenhouse, a pond, a family cemetary and landscaped grounds. I had brought Bella back and ignored the family for awhile (see  my screenies) but with the impending birth of Cass's twins Mortimer had to do something to get the family more room. So the Goths will be moving. However; before they do Mortimer has agreed to let me post this little architectural gem for other Simoleonaires looking for a bigger house for the kids and grandkids.

I do so enjoy this family- Romance sims be damned - Bella is so cute with Mortimer and even on Free Will takes really good care of the old guy and Don absolutely adores Cass to the point that neither Bella nor Don have rolled any cheating wants since Bella returned to and remarried Morty and Don married Cass- Alex is not the most handsome guy though- He looks rather like I always imagined Snape to look.
