Busy, busy, busy...

School has me even busier then I thought it would, which is a bad thing since it means I have less time for working on CC for TS2 then I'd hoped. On the other hand I'm learning some new techniques for modelling, texturing, etc., as well as a bunch of new tools that are making it easier to get models done - which, obviously, is a good thing!

I'm hoping to at least publish some lots this month (they're built, I just have to find the time to take and format some preview pictures, and get them posted), and possibly even some new meshes if I can find a few spare hours a week to work on them. Next month, of course, we have March break, and I hope to really pound out some new items then using some of the better work methods that I'm currently learning.

In the meantime, for your entertainment, I've added a gallery to my minisite where I'll be randomly posting renders of things I'm working on in my courses. Models, textures, concept art, and so forth. Some items may later reappear as items for TS2; the shark model I'm currently working on, for example, might be interesting to turn into a tropy or a museum-type exhibit (or, as Windkeeper previously created... a pool toy!).

I'm sorry that I'm late with my uploads but i had some problems with my programs ... Gosh how I hate my comp sometimes!

Coming Up...Something A Little Bit Different

Coming soon in the next few months... 3 more homes for the Wizzdom Series! These will be called 'Barnaby' (2nd home) (completed, in pending 5th Feb), 'Clementine' (3rd home) and 'Hermann' (4th home).

There's a few more surprises lined up for the next few months! I have so been enjoying building something a little bit different (The Wizzdom Series) that I've starting a few new series for Sims that find it hard to 'fit in'. As they deserve to have fun, right? Of course they do! So, the next few series of homes will specifically be for Aliens, Vampires, Plant Sims, Zombies...and maybe even something fun for Bigfoot! ;)

Keep watching my blog for updates! :D 'Barnaby' is now complete and is in pending (5th Feb). Keep watching my up and coming pod to see when it will be available for download.

Manor House Update

It looks like whatever changes the TSR staff were going to make to the new layout are now done. I still don't like it, but I'm one person and I don't presume to think that my opinion counts for much on this issue.

I'm going to have to learn to deal with it, even though I cringe every time I look at the layout.

Now, on to happier things: the Manor House Kitchen. I hope that those who were really anxious to get it were able to find it elsewhere in the Sims community. I released it more than 3 weeks ago (not on TSR), so if you haven't found it by now, never fear, it'll be here on TSR shortly.

I hope to upload Part I of the Kitchen, as well as an appliance pack to TSR sometime next week. I cannot make any promise, seeing as I'm already swamped with work despite the semester being only 2 weeks old ¬_¬

APOLOGIZING for a few of my walls

Hi everybody... Although I have NOT recieved any complaints...I am here to apologize for a few of my recent walls. One is the Cloud wall, another is two spiderman walls. I made them and normally i test in game before I upload and well I was pretty tired the night I made them and i didnt bother to check whether or not they were "seamless" .I assumed they were. As it turns out they are nOT and look horrible! I am very very sorry my dear downloaders!!! My guarnateed promise from this day forward is that absolutely NONE of my walls will be uploaded until i have made sure in my own game they are "seamless" .. k? That is what I get for doing things when I am too tired to be thorough.

Again my sincerest apologies!

New Addition: Polls!

Yes! I've saved up enough kudos to be able to have polls on my profile now! My first question is on the sims 3 delay, and if people would rather have a fully working game at a later date, or a partially working game now with a patch at a later date! Go ahead on and take the poll if you wanna! 

I for one would rather take the way of the patch just because I'm an impatient gal.

New Challenge for myself

I am challenging myself to use only Maxis add-on sets, missing and lost object sets, and maxis age conversions for the next 3 months other than my defaults. The game was getting very non challenging and my downloads file was taking up 8GB of memory. If I want Sims 3 in June than I have to have room left on the computer for it.

CRIME STORY PART 6: NOWHERE TO RUN

A new chapter of my blog story 'CRIME STORY' is now posted. I appreciate that some of you are letting me know you are enjoying it! Do please leave a comment at the blog though, I would love it!

Crime Story is set in the 1960's, and I use a lot of downloads from right here at TSR, look in the 'Retro Theme' section. I have made a lot of signs for that era, you can find them there for download!

Also This story is a little more adult than can be posted here, but it is not too out there, LOL!

What i think about sims 3?

Hm...well I seen the videeos for sims 3.I like the part where ya have more of a free range for game play but,its basically just like sims 2.To me for some reason the downloads I seen from people who make skins for sims2 ,looks more realistic then the stuff on sims 3 lol.True ya can highlight hair and make a person really fat, but I think sims 3 is going to be so so when its released this month.Thats and you know its going to lag lol.depending the pc or mac or whatever lol.Anyways,I love sims no matter what.Its fun to create,make pictures,movies or just ruin your sims life lol

The Legacy of Music Update

Well...part 7 is out but Part 8 is hanging in Limbo right about now.  I don't want to start working on the next story until this one is out so it can have some breathing room...let's hope that this malfunction they are having is over quick.

The Herbals Update

Chapter 2 has been released.  I will be working on Chapter 3 once I get Part 3.5 of Before The Fall out...be on the look out!

Before The Fall Update

Alrighty, so part 3.4 Pogue and Alex's story has been released.  Now it is Eren's chapter!  There will be one more part after hers so be on the look out for it!

The Perry Legacy Update

As most of you have read, the Perry Legacy will continue, but just combined with the next generation of Before The Fall.  You just won't see much of Skylar and Josh.

Moving

I am moving so I am unable to do much with the computer in the next few weeks. I already miss TSR.:( I will be back with a vengeance at the end of the month so I hope you all have patience and please check back in with me here soon for new designs and recolors! Happy Simming!

Taking a break

I recently found my old Sims I Complete Collection discs and got to missing Sims the way they used to be. So I have uninstalled all (will probably hunt the downloads again later) but Double Deluxe (I will be using my defaults for eyes, skin, and makeup but just got to overwhelmed with to many downloads so got rid of furniture, hair objects for now. I am going to play with my sims I discs for a few weeks or months until Sims 3 comes out. I haven't played I since I first got Double Deluxe so it will seem almost like a new game. No rush to meet career and personal goals within a 29 day limit - no whining about college or wanting to own a pottery wheel or other things that seem to much like real life just plain old fashioned honest to God simming for a few weeks YAY!!! I will play and reminisce about the days when I could kill my sims off without feeling guilgy and never had to deal with a " HAVE TEN CHILDREN !!!!!!!!" LTW.

Probably will eventually re-install at least IKEA and H&M stuff and  download more stuff of course, the subscription is currently for 6 months and Sims 3 won't be out til June. I just don't feel like dealing with the overwhelming downloads folder right now - especially my hairs were getting out of control. Maxis hairs suckminimally in comparison to skin, eyes and makeup (at least in 2) but I am far to addicted to pretty hair and given the choice I would rather have pretty skin and eyes. At least with Ikea and H&M back in I can grab the H&M Sets by Bunny abnd Lisa86 and all of the IKEA stuff by Mutske, Shakeshaft, and so on. But first I wanna go play with the Goth family and renew my acquintance with the Newbies etc the way they used to be before EAXIs borked their genetics and their storylines.

The View Of Downtown!

I am currently working on finishing up a set of windows for my Downtown project. As of today the 2-story window is finished and two 2-tile ones are meshed. I expect to add two 1-tile's to the set.

Hair Cut day w/ a twist

Ok.I got my hair cut today(coz in school...boys cant have long hair.So before I got my hair cut today...it looked like Edward Cullen's hair only wackier!)I thought I was going alone.Then before I went on my merry way...I catched up with my friends,Gail and MJ,then I told them I was gonna get my hair cut today.Then they said they'll come along and get their hair cut too.(w/o planning on it.,)so it was just shocking that they just decided to come and also have their hair cut.Weird.^^

The Wizzdom Series - Hannah - Home 1 - Publish Date: 5th February

Hello there,

Now, before you add my name to the barmy beyond belief list, I just wanted you to know that yes, I listen to my Sims. *raises eyebrows* I pay a lot of attention to their needs. Oh the power of the clicker if they misbehave, lol, did I really remove that pool ladder? No, it wasn't me! ;p When they ask me for something that they really really want, I do my best to fulfil their request...providing they have enough Simoleons and have been relatively well behaved! And so, hereforth, is a request from a Sim called Hannah (the one posing on the left of the piccies). She is 21 Sim days old and feels that life is hurriedly passing her by. So she decided to enrol on a course for wizardy and has asked for a home that's relatively easy to keep up with and that also inspires her to keep up her new 'hobby'. It had to feel homey and comfy and be unique. So, she handed over 74,000 simoleons (all be it begrudingly) and I put her ideas into action. She's been living in it for the past 3 Sim weeks and is getting on quite well with it. But alas her spell and potion classes homework are taking up the majority of her time and spare time, and as you can see her gardens are..well...'a work in progress'. After maximising her Nature enthusiasm and getting her 8th Cleaning skill point, and with winter out of the way, she decided it was time to tackle the tangled garden. She's getting there with the landscaping, but there are still pots of plants and plants on ladders that she just hasn't yet found a place for. There's even some hanging plants in the deadwood trees! She sent me some pictures for me to show you how it's going ;) and to say that it will be uploaded on the 5th February! Have a look at my profile for some preview piccies in the upcoming section.

Time to get started on a request from Barnaby, another wizard Sim! The next in the series of homes for wizards.

SIMS 3 UPDATE

Hey I just wanted to let you all in on a tidbit of info that came my way recently. When i was buying my used university Expansion last week the girl at the store Electronics Boutique told me that the release date for Sims 3 was pushed back from Feb 17th 2009 to August 2009. That is what has been told to her store from EA games. DANG - i was looking forwrad to playing it as I have in on pre-order! On the bright side i have many more months to practice my recoloring skills before tackling Sims3 stuff! Peace out!

The Cracked Glass Bar

Yay I finally got a lot submitted (I tested it for a little while first this time)

The Cracked Glass is a bar/card joint/restaurant.  There is a break dancing dude out front.  As soon as I brought a sim to the lot, seven other sims showed up.  That's a good sign, right?

2 New wall and floor sets coming

Downloads Available!

I've been gone for awhile. I'm just getting over a bad cold. It looks like they've finally ironed out the kinks in the new TSR. My downloads are now available through my profile! So, I'll probably get on submitting my creations later on tonight, or possible tomorrow. To tell the truth I'm a little sim'd out, but I get that way from time to time and it rarely ever lasts very long! You'll be seeing a lot more from me in the near future, I'm sure.

I can't believe it! I'm nearing the 2 million download mark! I never imagined that I would even get this far! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and downloaded my stuff over the past 2 years! I promise that there will be more to come!

I've Got a Mascot Challenge for all you talented mesh and clothing Creators!!!! READ IF YOU ARE A BRILLIANT MESHER!

I  recently built a community lot that sells all different kinds of teddy bears.  It is a world of every teddy bear imaginable. There is only one more thing that would make it truely completed, a mascot costume.  This Sims 2 comes with a bear costume (outfit and bear hat)for toddlers only.  However I want one just like it for Adults and Teens.  I wish for an adult bear costume just like that toddler costume for a few of my employees to wear.  Anyone one out there able to create such a mascot outfit for teens and adults?  You creation would be greatly appreciated.

Please help me out here guys!

(It would also be great if you could create a bear head that doesn't show the sim's face in it)

Important note to downloaders of my LOTS

Happy Sunday all!

It's a beeeeautiful day in the neighborhood here in SW Ontario, Canada. Plus 1 degrees outside and the sun is shining! I already had my adorable puppy Reubidy Doo ( Reuben) out for a long hour long romp in the park near my house- gleefully climbing snowmounds together and running amuck with leash off! Now i am sittin on my rump here at my PC as i have GOT TO get some creations done. Like I have written probably a gazillion times by now ( and i am proably annoying people with this) but because of my husbands back condition I am very busy - and it hasnt gotten any better lately. The bitter cold ( and his physiotherapy - which the sessions cause him to be in MORE pain afterwards) has put him in bad shape and basically left me to have to do MORE than I was ALREADY doing! I am only getting time late at night now to create and so i have been doing LOTS ( houses). I made some bedding last night - about 20 of them and i am going to make some matching curtains as well. I never did get around to figuring out SIMPE and CC meshes yet. geesh - that weekend I ended up busy and never got around to it! My kids really need to help out more - as I am feeling slightly burned out this week and am very bitchy LOL. Creating is my de-stressor so when I cant create i am unable to "decompress" so to speak! I am also investigating whether to start my own free site- for a couple of different reasons.. and so I may not upload Custom content recolors here at TSR but SAVE them for my own site. Another reason is my teenage son wants to link off my site for his gaming purposes.. its complicated to explain but he plays Tibia and does reviews of games etc and wants to open his own gaming server blah blah blah.He is very intelligent and an artist ( this is James I am talking about - the 16 yr old) and he would like to learn 3D object meshing and so do I - to make my own furniture meshes.And when I do I will only be uploading them to my own site.

Anyways I wanted to let you all know that i also bought a used version of university and my newest four lots need Uni.. but I am still making Base Game Compatible lots as well . I know which stuff comes from Uni and Base Game so its easy enough to use the things I want just for base game houses.

Also i have had Pms in the past month or two about some of my lots ... custom content not working. As it turns out it wasnt my fault.. or the lots fault.. but the downloaders didnt have certain things they needed. I appreciate all my downloaders- you rock - BUT please make sure you have these things in order: ( I am listing these as these were some of the various problems that got solved)

1. A " Downloads" folder named as such in your EA Games folder. Without it the game will not be able to "read" anything you have downloaded.

2. CEP- Color Enabler Package. This package is a MUST in order for the recolored objects to show up in game. It can be found on the Mod the Sims website. Here is the link:

3. WinZip or WinRAR program to unzip and extract files. Without this you cannot open files that are not packaged in a Sims2pack file. CNET.com offers FREE WinRAR archiver/extracter for downloading.

4. Sims2CleanPackinstaller. If you are using this to install my lots .. please note: after I build and save the lot .. I go back in and do a revision on the file- meaning i go in and clean up the file using the cleanpack installer. I take out straggler files that are not in the actual lot but were hanging on anyways and so the file you are downloading when you get the finished product uploaded to TSR is totally cleaned up of unnecessary files. So DO NOT uncheck anything in the clean installer dialog box that comes up when installing. If you do ..it wont be installed and will show up flashing blue or not at all in the game.

EXCEPTION: All my older lots PRIOR to November 2008 ARE NOT cleaned up via Clean installer - so in that case by all means if you are installing using clean installer make sure you are ONLY unchecking things that say "Object recolor" beside them. These are the things that arent in the original lot and are just straggler files. I apologize for this but I hadnt learned to clean up my lots before then. Remember : I am also new at this ! LOL and I am unable to go BACK and fix all the files as they are already published and there are around a hundred lots!!

***NOTE:!!!!*** All windows and doors etc in my lots come with MESH included so there is no reason why they would not show up in the game unless one of the 4 things above arent in place.

I figured I had better Blog this info .. I havent had a tonne of Pms or anything but a few and well i empathasize with new downloaders - as all this stuff can be overwhelming at first to learn.. however as much as I want to help out - it can be very time consuming writing a long pm response trying to ask those 4 questions - and trying to figure out what the downloader is doing wrong. I am so incredibly overly busy I just dont have the time folks- i apologize but i dont.

I have personally tested my lots - remember I blogged a while back at chirstmas that i lost all my files at christmas time. Well I had to re-downlaod and re-install all my own lots so I could have them in MY game - and each and every one worked in my game- as the mesh files for windows , doors etc WERE installed on my pc when i downloaded them. So i know for a FACT that it isnt my lots.

So i hope this info helps people who have experienced any problems. Like I said i want to help out as I want people to be able to PLAY and ENJOY my stuff- that is the point of why I decided to share my stuff with others! As well there have been 2 people that recently made comments on my lots to me re: this problem with some windows on two different new lots in the past couple of weeks and I tried to click on their Username to link to their page and Pm them and I couldnt. So i am unable to respond as they didnt actually PM me :( I hope you end up reading this blog !!

Thats about it for my update for now peeps- I am off to continue creating some new stuff for your enjoyment. ( and MINE too!lol) yesterday i cleaned the crap out of my hosue and got all the house laundry done etc so that i could sit down today and get some stuff done on here!Caio for now!

Days Go By

As days go by, and each day a new beginning arises I see a piece of my future coming together like a jigsaw puzzle. I realize that hardships are not just there to ruin your day or a piece of your life but they help teach a lesson that you would not be able to figure out without them. They can be harsh but you have to stay strong and live through each day with dignity and strength to know that you know what you're doing and you can do it yourself. I too have hardships, each day of my life I have to listen to lies and deceit from not only from my parents but from life itself. I make through it luckily with help my friends and my boyfriend who would help me through anything. Each of them know what I've gone through and each of them try some way or another to help me through it all and I pay them back by doing the same for them. It's the circle of life. And each day is just another step to the future and to a piece of life we'd never expect.
