Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know that our internet has been out for a few days and our provider can't seem to fix the problem. On the bright side, when we get our internet back, my husband and I both have some residential lots that are ready to be uploaded. Sorry! Be back soon!

Dreaming of a vacation...

Can't travel away just now, but I can travel to exotic places in the game! I've tried the hotels, now I'm building vacation homes for my simmies. That means I'll have to try new building styles, which is good. The brain is like a muscle in that it requires exercise in order to stay fit! Doing things you don't normally do will stimulate your mind. So I guess I'm going to get REALLY speeded before the holidays are over...

Recovered my lost walls

Well I recovered my lost walls and floors that I had been working on before christmas.. I had forgotten that i had a file in JPEG of my finsihed sim walls etc.. so i was able to convert them to bitmap and will soon package them.. finish the matching tile floors ( its a bathroom set)and then upload the sets ( there is a whole bunch of them so they will be in two or three sets). I finally got to do some creating tonight whcih was good .. but it was just some new walls and then converting the ones mentioned above.. however it was great to create ( I am a poet!lol) I was getting a little antsy as I hadnt been doing anything the past week.. i know.. helpless addict! Do you think I have played the game yet? of course not! I went on a downloading spree then it cuased problems with my game.. ( i guess i downloaded too much or some bad stuff) so i deleted everything and redownloaded and did this twice before I said "to heck with this" and jsut got rid of any new stuff I ahd never had before and got some of the same old stuff i have had before ( and that i know works in game and is fine). Whew! Im pooped just writing this..lol

Off to bed i go .. work in the AM and its now well after midnight!

Bought a Free Day

So i thought i would share that i am still re-downloading all the stuff i lost the other night ( which was EVERYTHING) . So I thought 'ah heck... i have 10,000 plus kudos .. i will go get myself some stuff from the featured artists" so i bought myself a free subscription day and have been downloading stuff that i would like in my game.. TO PLAY MY GAME. Holy crap.. I just may play it again! Yep thats right folks! The girl who hasnt played in 3 months. We will see how it goes... see how long i will play before i get bored and/or get an idea for a creation!My two fave featured artists would have to be Chazdesigns and Cashcraft. All the artists on TSR are talented but I happen to think that Cashcraft is THE BEST I have ever seen!Wow her stuff is incredible and must be incredibly complex to make!
As for creating a have some new ideas.. an idea for a teen room theme and i would like to finish ( or restart and then finish i should say) the walls and floors set I was working on when I lost everything.
Anyways thats my update.. i have supplied all my childrens technical needs.. their Zunes are done and playing. Their PC is up and running. Now I have been able to get some peace! Geesh! LOL

The Black Statue 5 UPDATES!

I have been downloading various CASTLES all over the internet and looking for the downloads I have recently lost when our PC had to be fixed. Anyways, so far, I have the trees, shrubs, terrains, around 7 castles and new sets. The characters may not look quite the same because I have to redo all of them, but I hope it's ok with you all!

Uploading today

Today I will be submitting a whole party scene I recolored for the New Year party every Sim should have. This set consists of 2 lamps by Parsimonious Sims and a Holy Simoly creation or two. The big thing is I recolored the nightlife counter and bar stools. I also recolored the Roto party lamp which is Nightlife as well. I am really excited about this set it turned out pretty good and it is awesome in a club type setting so be looking for it and let me know how it looks to you!Happy New Year

Chapter 27

I took probably 5 hrs installing all my sims games and I completed chapter 27. Yes, I completed it and am going to upload it very shortly. I hope to have chapter 28 done next week. Then finally the story will end.

Technical Christmas - Double Arrgh

So i gave my kidlets ( my girls aged 10 and 12) my old pentium 4 for christmas all refurbed with new parts - as it had died back in August after 5 years of faithful service). The past 2 days i had a helluva time trying to set up their wireless internet as it didnt want to respond with the computer down in the basement.. so I had to haul the desk and pc up into the room they share yesterday- oh the joy. I finally got the wireless working and of course had to endure the ardous process of installing Java and doing all teh Xp updates and crap to get them up and running! Yeesh!
Then they both also got Zunes for christmas so now i have to set up thsoe for them.. download the software for them so they can get their 30 free tunes that came with it. My sons got Ipod Touches but they have done their own technical work to get those up and runnning.My girls are too young so mama has to do it ( I am the most technical in the house.. then the boys , then my hubby and then the girls)
I have yet to re-download all teh CC I lost last night..
gotta go Zune software is contacting me...grrrr

I have updated the following to include .package files (instead of .sims2pack files) and Collection files: Dapple, Moonrock and Synthesis tile sets, Linoleum and all carpet sets in the latest Signature colors. Have an AMAZING day!

OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am really really irked! GRRRRRR..
My littlest girl ( who will be 11 in march) bought FreeTime with some of her Christmas money ( it was on sale for only $16 new!@Staples) Anyways it was acting up with the Custom Content enabled so Mia thought it was totally boring without all the CC ( which I agree) so i uninstalled it... NOT KNOWING.. that in doing so i would erase all my personal recoloring files!!!!!!!!!! All my walls , everything!! EECK! I was working on a great wall and floor set but had not done anything on it nor finished it cuz of Christmas) Anyway I had to totally re-install Sims Base Game and will now spend the better part of tommorrow re-downloading all the custom stuff i had .. including some of my own stuff from TSR! Terrific.. since I was really looking forward to doing very little tommorrow except finsihing that wall set and then working on some other ideas I had. i wanted to study tutorials on CC mesh recoloring and also some more clothing tutorials.. ( as I have read 2 already)Hmmph!
Maybe I will do that anyway and deal with all the other stuff later. On the brighter side I can get fresh new downloads ....merry friggin ho ho ( LOL)

Christmas day

Well, we got even more snow, my husband got some this time with the snow coming down!!!!

Grim is no more.

I've been working on what to type to tell you all this, most of you know why my user name is 'andi and grim' from the old days before I had a mini-site, Grim was my first pet guinea pig and I was really close to him and he was always there for me in his cage when I was sad.
He had been ill for a few days. I think it might have been the same cancer my dad has, with my dad's cancer he had fluid come out his backside, the fluid my dad loses is the same as the fluid Grim was losing, I first noticed something wrong with Grim when he wasn't eating or drinking and then five days before he died, three days before he died he stopped responding to sight, sound and touch. I don't think anything could have been done to help him and he died.
I found him slumped in his cage the same as he was before, sat facing the corner. He wasn't cold but he wasn't warm either, he was freshly dead. Grim died on the 15th of December sometime around 11pm. I was tired and went to bed at 10pm and woke through a dream where Grim was talking to me, thanking me for all I did for him. I haven't told anyone what the dream was about, I'm hoping to write that up at some point to type it up as a story because it was so hard to describe, I got out of bed and went to his cage finding him slumped, I belive he really did speak to me in my dream. He said I was a good owner and that he wanted me to take care of his daughters, so Ryan if your reading this can I buy Truffel back? Grim was young, he was about a year and a half old, born on the 1st of June 2007. He has 3 daughters, Princess of Darkness, Nameless Pig, and Truffel who was origanly called Spawn. Grim leaves behind alot in this world, he was my favourite pig and left behind more than Ray did. I won't be changing my user name, it can stay as a memory of Grim, some of the creations were inspired by him and silly things he did. He will be rememberd as the guinea pig who could undo a zip and open a cage, he taught me to love life and respcet animals. I learnt so much from him, I miss him so much but I'm trying to get through this. Grim's death made me realise how special life is.

I'm posting this as my last goodbye, so long and good night Grim. Your spirt lives on and you live on in my heart and mind, keeping me safe and watching over me.

I also wanted to let everyone know that my 10 yr old bought herself the FreeTime EP with some of her Christmas money ( and installed it on my pc cuz I have a much MUCH better pc than her)so I will now be including lots and recolors with some FreeTime stuff ( i will still do just base game lots and recolors also and also expect Custom content mesh recolors in the the new year ( Cuz I WILL figure it out!LOL)

I want to say thank you all for beautiful work. I don't have much time lately, but still check TSR every few days! 25.08.2008.

Cube complex Set

Lots of pics and details of these lots here! They're built on 4x4 lots and have plenty of amenities. There's two versions; one with apartments, the other you can use as a house / college house / or convert it to a dorm. The front: The back: Overview of the lot: The amenities include a gym: and a cinema: there's also a large games room with views into the aquarium pool: a communal living area and communal kitchen: Outside, there's the library and computer building: The upstairs library: The downstairs computer room: There's also an external bbq area just outside that building as well as a jacuzzi, a football net and the large pool. You can just about see them on the photo below, which also shows the basement level: As you can see, there is a sideways garage and a drive; there's room for three cars altogether. I'll put instructions on how to place them at the end of this post :) Here's the ground floor: The first floor: And the second floor: finally here's a pic of the smallest apartment - yes, it REALLY is a studio! But there's room for a double bed and your Sims should find everything else they want on site. If you want to remove the bathroom and wall dividers, do this before you move anyone in (to be safe.) YOu'll find the rent then goes down to �230 or so - a real bargain :) To do this, before moving Sims in, enter the lot, open the cheat window and rezone the lot as residential. You'll then have to rezone again as an apartment once you're done. Finally here's the instructions for adding cars to the garage/ driveway: Please note that when you play a different apartment, the cars belonging to other apartments won't show. I've been able to place cars in the same place for different apartments and it's been fine for me. To add a car to the driveway of the apartment version this lot: 1. Move your Sims in and have them rent an apartment. 2. Open the cheats window and type: boolprop aptSubLotSpecificToolsDisabled false (This will enable the buy/buildmode catalogue.) 3. Choose a car as normal from the catalogue and place on the driveway. 4. Open the cheats window and type: boolprop aptSubLotSpecificToolsDisabled true (to turn the cheat off). That's it! To be safe, do back up your game before using cheats such as these. And don't play with that cheat enabled as it may mess things up! Yeah, that's the technical term :) Have fun... Merry Christmas! It's Christmas!

Thought he was kinda cute! My new 'Mean Machine' (computer) has arrived, so I'll be spending most of the hols setting that up and getting everything installed. Hopefully that will solve all of the recent problems I've been having, and it'll be back to business as usual shortly! More snow pictures!

My sweeite went and got some more pictures of our snow, he figured we might as well get more as we don't get snow very often, especially this close to Christmas!!! The top three pictures are of our street, and the squirrels in our yard, we feed quite a few everyday and go through about 10 to 12 pounds of peanuts a week, we have so much fun watching them, and even have a few that will eat out of our hands! The bottom picture is of our patio, and all the beautiful snow on it!!!

I do take request and i get to them as quickly as i can.
I am posting my request list so that you can see by proximity how long it might take me to get to your requests after seeing the list of requests before you. I will also like to add that Celebrity (look alike) Sims are not so easy to make and it may take several weeks and breaks to clear my thoughts in between before i will be ready to share them, I do try to make them look their best without the use of masks, as when the mask goes the person Sim underneath is no where close.
