Hi everyone! I have had some time to get a few new sets of walls and floors done lately. Hope you all enjoy the new stuff coming! :)

Alien/Space Babies! - for KDLANGO

Following a request for some more of the 'cute factor', based around/for all those baby aliens out there, I have created some walls/floors, and have also been working on some bedding to go with a 'Baby Alien' and 'Baby Space' themes. Provisional walls/floors as follows: The pics aren't brilliant coz I needed to keep them small for here, but they give you the general idea - two walls and four matching carpets for each theme, so you can mix-n-match. Provisional bedding as follows: The 'Baby Aliens' version is available in both white and pastel green bedding, and I've also re-coloured the bed frame to match both. The same applies to the 'Baby Space' versions, apart from them being white and pastel blue. If all goes well, I will hopefully add a few more bits and try and make them complete rooms/sets. So, what do you think? - All comments appreciated as usual! Spaced out, Alien Mad Cow!!

Retiring

Hi everyone. I am letting you all know that I am retiring. I will finish my story though once I get a new computer or something. My current one won't even turn on. I'll be around leave me nice messages. I love all my friends at TSR.

Can't miss Texture Challange 100

Real life was a bit rough the last months and there is still so much to do. But as an old TCer I won't miss the big celebration party for Texture Challange 100. I join the party with a Refexsims Roma Bathroom.

Hanover Kitchen and recolors

Currently set for publishing tomorrow is my Hanover Kitchen mesh set. It contains 9 items - counters, shelves, etc. No appliances though, I think there are enough maxis ones to match







Ive also got several recolors for the counter tops as well as the rest of the wood in the set. All wood tones and all countertops are mix 'n match.

First and foremost, I sincerely apologize for not putting anything out and certainly not releasing ANY of the Andretti Legacy.

I've been getting a few messages here and there from you guys asking what's going on. I appreciate those.

Being out of work for an entire month unexpectedly because of surgery mishaps, I had to get a second job. I've been working bunches and been spending some time with the family. My Jeep has also made a few trips to Hell and back, and I'm getting by...slowly by surely.

It's 11am in the morning, and I've got nothing to do today but updates! So, if all goes well...I will be uploading an Andretti and a few sets tonight...unless I get sidetracked with meshing!

DJ Booth in Main Street VI lot fixed

The problem with the DJ Booth in Down on Main Street VI is fixed. Big thanks to KionaPlay for pointing this out! I DID test this lot, but then somehow uploaded the pre-test lot instead of the post-test lot. Doh! The corrected version is now up.

School Starts Soon

School starts on Wednesday for the kids, which means that I will have very little time to play around on the computer. Most of you know that my kids attend a virtual academy, and since they're only 8 & 11, they're not at the stage of being able to work independently. We've also opted to go with a different school than we'd been attending for the past two years, so it's going to take us a while to get into a new rhythm. Hopefully, we'll all adjust well, and I'll be back in no time with some new content.

Manor House Collection news:
The next MH set, the Garden set, is completed--shadows, textures, testing, even catalog descriptions. I haven't uploaded it yet only because I'm spacing out the set releases. If I release them too quickly, I won't have time to finish the other coming MH sets.

A lot of people have expressed interest in the Kitchen set, so the good news is that it will be released after parts I and II of the Garden. It's not quite finished yet, but I'm 95% done with it.
I might post a brand new preview screen of it. Much like the Washroom set, it's changed a bit from the earlier screenshots I posted.

Hello there!

Well, I have some recent news that I need to write here... In my opinion )))

I want to thank Renate - Shino&KCR for her lovely notice about the Ceiling Lamp in my Spiritio Livingroom set. It had a GUID conflict but now it's alright and all, who had problems with it, PLEASE RE-DOWNLOAD the LAMP! I'm so sorry for that, guys. When I test it in my game before uploading it was OK.

Then, I've decided to delete my old files and some sets. I've already deleted some of them but not all that I want to... I just don't like them, maybe I could re-make them but I had been thinking of making new items. And I have some cool (maybe?) stuff for you, guys!
Of course, I won't stop making houses. This is the last month when I could create, create and create, 'cause on the 1st of September I should start to study the last year at school, woohoo! I suppose, I'll have not so many time for Sims 2. :(

Holiday

I allowed myself a holiday, but will have something special for next Friday. I've made a little girls full skirt and puffed sleeve mesh. I'll be releasing it with 4 each, matching mother and daughter dresses, that I hope you'll like.

After two weeks of vacation I have got back home. For the moment I am creating the much I can and I promise you all that you�ll see some new sets in a week or two.

Wow!!! - Half A Million Downloads!!!

Logged in today and noticed I've hit the half million milestone - over 500,000 downloads - Wow! I can hardly believe it!! Who would have thought that exactly 5 months and 5 days after my first ever set was published, that I would be here - certainly not me!! I'm amazed, stunned, speechless (good job it's not 'typeless'!!) I'm 'over the moon' - literally: .... Told ya!! A very, very big THANK YOU to everybody who has made this possible by downloading my creations, and especially to my 'regular customers' who just can't resist coming back for more - it is really, truly appreciated! And THANK YOU again, to everybody who has left comments, words of encouragement, and ideas - they're what inspire me and keep my enthusiasm going, so please keep them coming!! Ecstatic Mad Cow!

Sim-specialization?

When I look at the Featured and Select Artist Area, the most visible thing is the fact that every artist specializes in particular area: skinning, hair retexturing, recolouring or/and meshing. Some also build wonderful lots and create exact-looking Sim-celebrities. It doesn't mean they don't do other things - because they do, but the main "stream" of their creativity is always recognizable. And what about me? I always wanted to skin, so I started my adventure with photographs and wrapping it all around my Sims. Then I discovered that there are so many wonderful dressess in the world that I will not be able to produce them all... and I just lost a heart for it. It's not that I don't like it, because I adore skinning, but it takes so much time to do it properly, not as some "artists" (I'm not envy or malicious - it's just a huge shock when after downloading from SA you discover a zipper on your Sim's butt...). And now I don't have so much time. But I do some clothing from time to time, maybe when some dressess pile up I decide to upload some sets... Then building lots - that's my second hobby. I prefer to create functional, well-designed living lots, with modern touch and only mine or Maxis content inside. But now, with so much additional downloads inside (unfortunately I adore hair, the most memory- and opening time- eating content in my case) the game opens in half an hour and in that time my new briliant ideas about a new lot disappear... So I learned how to create walls and floors, and now I simply adore realizing my new crazy ideas. I like modern design, as well as colourful and energetic folk style, so I try to make as crazy walls as possible. You will not find a floral wallpaper here - and even if you do, it will not resemble victorian needle-pillow. But still it's not the end of my ideas and what I want to do about Sims.... I hope to learn recolouring objects once... because one day I must create such splendid hand-painted toilet! ^_^ But I know that also because of that I will never become any SA. Being and SA is a huge responsibility with regular uploading and meeting the expectations - I'm not sure whether I could create freely in such circumstances. I remember great, now retired FA confide telling me, that preparing a regular, high-quality upload takes even up to 4 hours a day. I don't even have the access to the computer for such a time... So my dream of becoming an SA is unrealistic. And maybe that's good - because I'm sure I would be more dissappointing and embarassing when chosen as an SA, and then degradated to "normal" community member... Summer Holidays are coming

Well not for me unfortunately but there's a new resort under construction for your lucky simmies!

Up to now I've been a bit reluctant to upload many beach lots because they can be something of a pain in the neck for downloaders. However, my simmies needed somewhere new to go and I thought some of you might enjoy it too. :)



This is still very much a work in progress so don't be expecting to see this available to download for some time, but if you don't see anything new from me for a while this is the reason why!

Civil War Generals

I will shortly be releasing new versions of my US Civil War uniforms for generals (both US and CSA), and will be happy to add any other ranks for anyone who is determined to re-enact the Battle of Gettysburg in spite of all the game limitations (and very good luck to you ;) ).

It's been so nice to notice that so many have downloaded my Simford City lots! I will, however, leave Simford City for a while.

Last month I made a motorbike trip with my husband along the south coast of Finland and we visited many small seaside towns filled with 100 - 150 years old villas. Because of that I have decided to continue in the Baltic Sea Collection style, only now the "neighborhood" is called Dandelion Ridge. All the Dandelion Ridge lots are completely made of Maxis basic game content and there are no custom items (except maybe Maxoid Monkey creations from the EA Sims2 official site).

I have already built three lots. One is a community lot Dandelion Square: There is a charming old white wooden wedding chapel, an old library, restaurant designed especially for weddings, daily foodstore and a clothing boutique.

There are also two residential lots, Marigold Cottage (furnished and unfurnished) and Lilac Lodge (unfurnished). I will have my sims test all the lots today or tomorrow and after that I will submit the lots. I will also add some pictures here later.

Oooh pretty!

I would just like to thank everyone who downloaded, thanked and left comments on my work. It's been very encouraging and I'm very excited to have earnt enough kudos to upgrade to a minisite.

I'm going spend a couple of days settling in, and then I'm going to get back to the creating. Yay.

Now what?

Well things have settled down and my husband is gone. I was able to buy the house and I am doing well. However my desktop that had my Cassandra story decided to bite the big one. I'm hoping its a minor fix or perhaps I'm going to have to get a new one. I'll keep you all posted.

New Room! - Comments Please!!

Hi All! I had inspiration earlier for some walls/floors for a bathroom, so I knocked them up. Then I got to thinking, what about a few things to go with them - thinking is really bad for me, I come up with all these crazy, Mad Cow ideas!! Anyway, what started off as a few accessories - some curtains, towels and a rug, kind of ended up as a complete bathroom! Trouble is, in all my excitement, I forgot to package the walls & floors, so it isn't quite what I intended! - oooops!!!! So here is my first ever attempt at a bathroom: The toilet, bath, sink, rug and mirror came out lighter than I expected - they should have been more the colour of the shower curtain - but I do quite like them the colour they are. Like I said, the walls & floor will be different in the finished product, but what do you reckon to the rest? Should I make the toilet, etc. darker? Should I make the curtains & shower curtain lighter? Or are they okay as they are? Thoughts, comments, suggestions please!! Thank you - in anticipation! Crazy Mad Cow!

Ok, today I'm really pissed off.

Why? Because TSR rejected some of my new creations. I do not consider myself as the greatest goddess of sim-making kind, and do not think that I'm always right, because that's not true. But his time, I think I'm right. As a kid I was teached to be always sincere and to feel free to criticize stupid actions ("it's not people You criticize, it's what they do" as my grandfather always told me). The reason for rejection was: "the pattern on your tiles does not "tile" correctly, and it looks broken". Really? I checked it in game twice, and I admit it doesn't tile perfectly, because the pattern is quite complicated, but at least it gives the impression of tiling. But the funniest was the justification: "we do it to to maintain quality downloads". Oh really? How many creations from TSR actually have more failures than that? I remember downloading some hair that crushed my game, plenty of meshes that didn't work, not mentioning the riddiculous neon-green or barbie-pink hair (why the heck they let people upload SUCH horribe things?!?! where is this quality-download policy in these cases?!?!), and ending on completely non-tiling flooring, that really looked as if a yeti spewed on it. But it was all here, available for download, for everyone. I'm really pissed off. Right now I started to understand why people delete their creations from here and move to Mod the Sims 2... Here's the picture of the set which will not be uploaded by TSR staff because of it's horribility. I will not correct it - I hate smashing something that was already completed... But the point is that I really loved this set of tiles... Maybe I just add a very thin white frame around every tile - it will not look as if not matching any more. I'll do it and tell you how it worked. If they reject it also this time - then I'll report it as an example of the most riddicule and absurd action that I've ever encountered... Take care, Hannah

New upates are comming

I would like to thank all of you who download my creations and for all of your kind words and patience. I know it has been a while since I've uploaded consistently, so I wil try to explain what happend; My computer has the Vista operating system, wich gives problems with IE and a sertain security update. It looks like there's something buggy with IE explorer and his updates, wich giving me huge problems to submit my sets. It also don't let me update anything on my Ministe, or write something nice to you on my blog. I went to the official Microsoft site and found out that a lot of webmasters are having the same problems, just like I do. I'm still in the process of tracking and looking for a solution. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maybe I found a way to upload? A few days ago I was very happy, after I discovered that I am able to write on my blogg when I'm using my Hubbie's laptop. His pc works on XP with Servicepack3 and not with Vista & Servicepack2 like my pc does. The next thing I am going to do this week, is to try if I am able to upload some new sets wich I have created at the past weeks. I have made some nice creations, so lets hope it wil go wel. EDIT: Yes!!! I submitted a set and it worked out fine!! Writing

I've been so busy with the job search that I just can't seem to get motivated or inspired to write stories of any kind - Sims wise or otherwise. I have a new story in mind that I might start. Unfortunately, I think Behind Closed Doors is going to be put on a back back burner because I don't know where that story was headed anymore. Hopefully once I find a job, I'll be able to get the creative juices flowing.

New Project.

Hi All,

I haven't posted any homes for awhile because I have been working on a huge project since July 10th and it still has aways to go before it is finished. I posted a screenshot of my new project. I am recreating the town of Colorado Springs from Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and am making it a community Lot. It will feature a store from each expansion pack up to Free Time. Once it finished I will upload it here for download. Bt watching the intire series is helping me construct the town.

About my lots

My ubloaded lots are something complex... I want not only to build all possible Buildings, such as castle, church etc. but also to built the pretty Buildungs so that they together looks wonderful.

WOW! I have never imagined that I would reach this huge number of downloads!! I am really excited!!Thank you everyone for your support and feedback and for all those lovely comments. I have been lazy responding to them, but for a good reason. I am working on my first alpha mesh *yay* and I want this set to be perfect. Thank you once again for this lovely birthday gift *my b-day was on the 3rd, yesterday*. Have a fantastic day!

New creations!

At last! New creations are scheduled to appear on Aug the 6th, and my inspiration seems to be back, as well as a month of free time! Yay! But from September I will not have so much time, unfortunatelly...

Because I made it! I finally made it! After so much time, all the times I failed and feel like an idiot, I finally managed to be accepted to study my dreamt-of major, Japanese! And to one of the best schools in Europe, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London! I'm still in a slight shock - it is ironic that I'll be studying Japanese in English while I'm Polish, but it turned out to be this way. I tried in Poland so many times, but each time I got rejected from more funny reasons and considered "unapropriate", "not good enough" and "not strongly motivated". Me?!? Not strongly motivated? I dream of studying Japanese since elementary school when I saw the first anime in my life, Sailor Moon! I entered the exams so many times, and managed to make through each marathon only for my dreamt-of major, I also learned to live despite not having my dreams fulfilled. And that means not good enough? I love languages, I don't have problems with kanji, I have nice ear for languages and I have the knowledge about Japan that I build for 8 years, and that's not good enough?!? I know that there are only limited numbers of places - it can be studied only on 3 unis in Poland, and each uni has only about 12-15 places, while there are up to 30 candidates per place. But while the recrutation process favor only those with very high grades from English?

Is there any proof that knowing tricky gramatical structures from Shakespeares dramas means having heart for studying all those signs and complicated culture? The statistics show that only 75% of all accepted graduate from this major, where are these 25%? Ok, 5% would be people that were forced to quit because of some family disasters or other difficult life complications. But remaining 20% consists of people, who just lost their hearts for studying, or saw that it is more demanding than they expected. These people are the proof, that the recrutation process is wrong, and eliminates good candidates on the begining. Not only does it eliminate them - it often anihilates them. If not my parents, that can afford me studying for couple of more years and don't force me to finish studying and finding a job, I wouldn't have a chance to study Japanese whatsoever. When I think of how many people studied something they hated, and now do the job they hate simply because they haven't been given a chance to do what they like. By whom? By stupid professors (?), or somebody who makes a recrutation.

So I'll be studying in London, UK! Monogatari ga hajimaru - a Japanese phrase that means "the story (or: a tale) begins". I'll be reporting while creating in London, I hope... That would depend on my mobile computer, whether creating anything on laptop is possible and comfortable... Here I have my precious computer with everything, there I will have only a laptop, I'm not sure whether there'll be enough space even for all Sims and Expansions, not mentioning Accesory Packs... My... I wish I could take this computer with me... And - I will not have a mouse. I need to buy a proper mouse! What a pity I can't take this mouse...

And that's why I don't like changing places - you have to leave it all behind, starting from the scratch... But I know it is worth it!

Reactivation

New creations

Here there are, my new creations! Due to the approaching exams they won't be numerous (some walls and floors, maybe a new lot or two...) but after all the exams finnish in March I promise to sit down and create some wonderful outfits... I also gave a try to creating some hair textures and make-up, but I'm not very pleased with the result yet, and I'm deffiniately not going to upload unless they're perfect! ^_^

University Assignments/Exams

Hi All

Just thought i would let you know that i will be away for the next week getting uni assignments/exams finished. I will still be checking my GB and private messages, so if you have any questions please keeping them coming.
Once i am back the natural works fireplace will be published, along with recolours of the Esprit Curtain Collection, metallic recolours of the Esprit Blind Collection and also the natural recolour of the Santiago Dining Collection.
I will also be publishing diagonals of the Esprit blinds as well.
I am also working on some new meshes too. Will let you know more about that when i get back.

How to get a wheelchair into a tiny car......a MINI.

How do you get a wheelchair into a small space? My wheelchair is 23.5lbs with OUT the wheels , arm rests , or wheelchair cushion. We have a VERY small car......a MINIcooper! To make matters worse for space......we like having our music LOUD so we have a HUGE speaker. If the MINI is a rockin don't come a knockin cuz we can't hear you. :P The speaker is about 150lbs solid oak and Mike (my friend and caregiver) pushes it back a bit. Still not enough room you say? 1st off many modern wheelchairs fold MUCH smaller than they used to. This is how to fold up my chair. Pulling the string releases the back so it will fold down. Push the big button in the center of my wheel and it release the "hub" from the axle so the large bulkier wheels used to push with can be easily removed with NO tools. Once it's in pieces it can be easily placed into small trunks OR MINIcoopers. So that's how MY wheelchair folds. There are wheelchairs out there that fold up even smaller (so small it can fit in overhead compartment for carry-on luggage in most airplanes and are even lighter then mine less than 20lbs.
