Going Wild :o)

Greetings all I have 3 new painting recolour sets uploaded and pending approval. Each is a set of 5 maxis base game recolours and features a particular animal. So Far we have - Llama Rama - Different Llama pictures, including the rare Cheerleader Llama!! Belfrey Bats - I love bats!! They are so cute and misunderstood, some of the sub-species are now really endangered too. Tiger Bright - Very close to my heart indeed. I was born in the Chineese year of the Tiger so I have always loved and appreciated these big kittys. Look out for other animal sets coming soon. Or if you are looking for fur, feathered or scaley friends that I haven't released yet, drop me a line, I don't bite! ;o)

Chapter 1 of Behind Closed Doors Available

Chapter 1 is available and I excited that I am already getting feedback on it. I hope that everyone is enjoying reading this series as much as I am enjoying writing it. I have already thought up a lot of twists and turns to come that are surprising to everyone - a few even surprised me when they popped into my head!! I am off to bed and wish everyone a good night.

Sex & the City faces -- Pt. 1 the Girls

After I have completed my building projects this week, my next project will be a set of faces for the cast of Sex and the City. I have had this on my To Do list for a long, long time. Now that the movie has finally been released, this is a good time to get these faces done. I am hoping to do not just the characters that made it to the movie, but also some characters from the tv show. As always, previews to be posted when I complete the faces.

Chapter 1 has been uploaded!

Chapter 1 is complete and has been uploaded. It is awaiting approval. Hopefully it will be approved within a couple of days. I'm very excited about it and ready to start on Chapter 2 soon.

Some news and thanks :)

Hi everyone!

As some of you might have noticed, I have been uploading new sets A LOT recently! I was inspired, but also relieved that my university semester had ended so I could create a little more. I believe that I would update more often if it wasn't for school, but you know how it is; they say real life is more important than sims!(how can they think that? :P)

I will be away from June 25 to July 5, so even though I will have access to the internet, I won't be able to upload new stuff for that short period of time. I'll try to upload a few sets before, but I'm not sure how much time I will have to prepare the previews so, no promises ;)

Also, I wanted to thank everyone who downloaded, thanked and commented my creations. I feel very honored by such nice words and I am really trying (though miserably failing it seems!) to get back to everyone who did left me a comment. So I thank you here, and hopefully I will be able to go around and thank everyone personnally in the coming days... weeks... months?

Chapter 1 is almost complete

I have taken the screenshots for Chapter 1. Tomorrow, I will put them in order and write the story. Then, it will be ready for uploading! Each chapter will probably only focus on a few families until I get them intertwined well. Old Boston Lot 1

I have finally gotten this lot packaged and ready to go. Most of the furnishings are Maxis items and only a little bit of custom content. This house is fully furnished and ready to move in! I am finished with 2 more lots ... just have the testing and packaging to do ... but here are some pix for lots 2 and 3 .... Old Boston Lot 2 Old Boston Lot 3 Lot 3 is so far, my favorite of this series. It is for a single Sims but could easily be converted into a place for 2 Sims. Wow! Over 250,000 Downloads!!

Well, what can I say - I'm pretty amazed to have reached the quarter of a million mark, especially since I've only been creating content for the past three and a half months - so a very BIG and THANK YOU to everybody who has downloaded my creations to make this possible I still have lots of new ideas and creations in the pipeline which I hope you'll like, so keep watching this space!! Almost Done and Dusted

I figured it was about time I put the finishing touches to Coppleston Village before it turns into Coppleston City! Now if my memory serves me correctly we have a village green, holiday cottages, village hall and an old school house. Look out for a vicarage, country home and a neighbourhood terrain for all these lots to go on coming soon. Work on 2 final lots is in progress (a cottage and village craft shop) then I'm done! Finished! End of!



However I will be open to suggestions of any particular further lots you'd like to see in this series. Just pop along to my forum thread and give me a poke!

Behind Closed Doors: Chapter 1

I have finally started working on Chapter 1. I've been so busy doing things off the computer that when I came on it took me a while to respond to all of the feedback for the Prologue. I am really excited about Chapter 1. I have started taking shots and hope to have it done before next week when I'll have to take a break from it. Here's a screenshot preview:

Next Tutorial

I have often seen individuals asking questions when it comes to storytelling - questions that I myself once had before I started asking. So, it gave me an idea. Next week, I'm going to have some time on my hands and won't have my computer with all of my sims stuff but will have my sister's laptop and the base game. I'm going to use this time to explain some of the things that help make stories look better - such as custom title pages. Hopefully it turns out how I hope it will. For now, enjoy Behind Closed Doors - Prologue and I am off to work on the first chapter!! :-)

New Minisite

So, I finally spent the kudos to get a minisite. And I must say, I'm really enjoying getting it put together. There's still a lot to change to make it look good - the banner, the featured items, and such. But that'll give me something to do. I have a new lot coming out tomorrow. It is a bakery set in the desert, called Desert Desserts. It is also featured in my new story (Behind Closed Doors) that will hopefully come out soon as well. Pictures of the Bakery: Outside Inside Front Cover of Behind Closed Doors: Quick Description (the first upload will be a prologue so this is a short description of Behind Closed Doors) Cathleen Moore has just moved to Oasis Valley to avoid the drama and feuding of Veronaville. Oasis Valley is a quiet desert town near Strangetown that has attracted a few families since it was begun a few years ago. There is quiet a lot of drama going on in Oasis Valley but it is all taking place behind closed doors. Can Cathleen become part of the community and will she get some of the drama out into the open? Backups are a Lovely Thing

I don't regularly back up my neighborhoods because I don't really have neighborhoods in my development game. But I did when I made the Vanilla Game Space (Google it and you'll find out how to do it.), I did make a copy of the pristine game folder so I could make separate copies later for different purposes. I ended up never getting around to that, but it did make a lovely place to start over. I only put in the essential downloads and poof, no more object issues. So the original problem isn't "fixed", but it is circumvented. One day maybe I'll have the time to figure out where the bad object is. But for now, I'm back to creating, however sparsely.

I know I have some unanswered requests. I'll try to respond this weekend if I'm able. I have some of my own ideas I want to get out first, though, before I forget them. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

My apologies to all who love pointless tat

Yes, I'm sorry. The pointless-tat-machine (that's me, by the way) has not been outputting the usual quantity of late. Other than some not-me-at-all pretty lots, I've been unable to produce that much due to real-life time-hogs (like work - booooo, hiss).

I have some lovely slum windows that I'm dying to submit, but that set is not quite finished yet. I will do as soon as I have more time. Of course, if there is anyone out there who can pay me stupidly huge amounts of money for sitting on my posterior all day instead of joining in the grind and toil of work, please do reply! You have NO idea how much I'm longing to hear from you!!!

I want to apologize to anyone who has left a comment for me and has not had a response. I have gotten waaaaaaaaayyyyy behind on them. I really do appreciate the wonderful comments you all leave for me! I am trying to catch up on all those! There are so many it's almost overwhelming!!! So if you get a comment from me on something you downloaded months and months ago you'll know what's up!

Just in case I miss anyone...Thank you so much for downloading and using my creations in your game, I really appreciate it!

One Million Downloads!!!!

Oh, wow. One million downloads. I've only been recoloring a year (alomst to the day!!), and already, I'm at one million!! Gotta sit down, here. lol. I owe it all to you guys. You continue to like my work enough to download, and I hope you all have enjoyed it!! I will continue to try to create beautiful things for you all. I thank you all very much for getting me to this number. Thanks again, all of you!!!

Manor House Release Info

I'm preparing to release the first of the Manor House sets. I know that many have been eagerly anticipating this date, and it's finally here!

Some things to know:
1. Most of the MH sets will be released in parts due to the large number of pieces and various recolors (the Washroom actually has 40 mesh and recolor files!) I apologize, but I'm not going to spend 6 hours uploading 40-60 pieces at a time, so each set will be broken up into at least 2 or 3 parts.

The Washroom will be uploaded as follows:
Part I: Plumbing fixtures (toilet, bidet, sink, tub) + recolors.
Part II: Everything else + recolors


2. The release of these sets will be s-l-o-w. Only the Garden and Washroom sets are completely, 100% finished. The other sets still have pieces that need to be tweaked and some pieces that need to be scrapped and/or redone completely. And there is at least one MH set that I haven't even started on yet =/


3. EVERYTHING in the Manor House Collection is high-poly. The ornate look I was going for can't really be faked with texture mapping--it demands polygons. Sorry to those with slow computers =[

To My Fans - Update

Surgery is no longer scheduled for tomorrow, it's been moved to July 3rd. I've been hurting pretty bad lately, so creating and writing has come to a stop for the time being.

I do hope all of you understand and accept my apologies.

Summer Break

Due to my kids having summer break right now I just wanted those who check in frequently to know that creations may be a little slow for a while. I will do what I can to update often so please be patient. Thanks to all who appreciate my work!

Upcoming sets- tc92

TC92 was a *GREAT* inspiration, and I'm *still* working on furniture recolors. But the good news for everyone else is that there are *five* beddings and a set of mixed-media floors which will post on the 19th.

The beautiful maple railings in the two wallsets are matched perfectly in the floors, and an assortment of both 1x repeat and 2x repeat tiles will allow individuals a great deal of versatility. By using the dark leather texture among the maple, it is very easy to create 'area rug' effects', or simply beautiful flooring no matter how large or small the space.

Bedding! I have a particular love of downloading bedding, because I'm so particular about which beds I use in the game. Created with the fabric textures from the challenge, the bedding effects range from minimalist and masculine to a very warm, feminine coverlet.


I'd love feedback about these items (or any of my other creations). -DiY.

Simford City

Submitted today: This classic lot was earlier owned by a not-so-well-known Simford City filmstar Eleanor Ellister, who mainly acted in horror movies as a dead blonde. The house has all modern comforts: balconies, toilets, car, stairs, rooms, walls, even windows � that�s the main reason why Eleanor Ellister so much loved this house! Simford City Classic Funny how much garden staff likes this particular house! Miss Ellister made a lot of friends! Eleanor writing a bestseller.

Finally Back

Still recovering from my accident last fall but am finally back to working on my Sim projects. I've got a backlog of about 1800 files waiting to be published, so I'm hoping to be publishing quite steadily for some time. Thanks for your patience!

Old Boston Project

Now that my vacation is (finally) here I am beginning to feel more creative than I have in the last 2-3 months. I have started a new housing project called 'Old Boston'. I have already created a couple of lots but can't decide if I should furnish them or not. I put up a survey to help me decide. If you have the time please, please take the survey and besides you'll earn (I believe) 25 kudos! What could be easier? Now for this series of lots ... don't expect 'bricky' Boston homes. I am going with the 'clapboard' look since these houses are close to the harbor (remember the Boston Tea Party?) and I want them to have seaside appeal. Some of the houses will be a bit weathered ... but some will also be refurbished for those new, wealthier Sims moving into the area. For a peek ... see below ...

Well, I've updated my minisite yet again, and I think I may keep it this way for a long while. My homes are now known as SIMplistic Homes "A place to hang your hat". I've been, trying for a long while, to think of something catchy and it finally came to me today after creating the lot "Smokey Mountain High", my next lot soon to be available, which is sort of the theme of my new site, if you couldn't tell. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Just wanted you all to know that I am diligently working on a new base game only home...yup, no EPs needed, although the garage is EP ready. Here's a quick sneak peek. Happy Fathers Day

Don't know if any fathers are reading this, but if so, have a happy Fathers Day!...... I've been feeling crappy for the last few days, so I have not done any work on meshing or recoloring, because I haven't wanted to think that hard....:D But I am starting to feel better, so I can get back to tackling my projects again. I hope to have a completed new mesh set to upload here within the next few weeks. I can't work on it every day, so it is taking me longer than it would probably take anyone else....Here is a prototype of the lamp I am making...
