Part X of the Vanity Fair collection, the Sewing Room is scheduled for publication on June 17th. I got a bit carried away with creating objects, the sewing room collection consist of 38 items, LOL! I still have a few more objects to release for the set...so there may be a sewing room collection part 2.

ReUpload - New Lots
TSR has graciously admitted there was a server glitch this weekend, and has fixed the problems. So, the Sea Witch has been reloaded. Sorry I removed it, but you all know how I feel about people trying to download a file that doesn't work. If it doesn't work, I don't upload it. Period.SEA WITCH (AGAIN) - A reminder about beach lots - DO NOT turn them to place them. Once you take the lot out of the bin you must place it in whatever direction it is already facing. So if you take out the lot, and it is facing AWAY from you, you MUST place it on a spot that is also facing away from you. If you turn your new lot or the neighborhood to place it, you are asking to crash your computer. It's all tied into the animations for the beach itself. Sorry. We just build 'em, we didn't code them.
NEW LOTS - There won't be a long wait on the next two lots. They are due out on the 12th. (Tomorrow)

OLD SEA DOG SALOON - I realize that some of you think that I am suddenly building nothing but custom content lots or beach lots lately, but I promise that isn't the case. ;) Many of the SAs have decided to create some beachy themed stuff with summer here and all, and I just didn't want to be left out of the pack. LOL! I promise...I am going to try to avoid beach lots for the rest of my TSR existence...or until they do another one of these at least. Hateful, horrible, glitchy things...
Anyway, since all the other SAs are making beautiful, magnificent, and gorgeous lots, objects, and sets, I thought I'd try something different. Something that evoked the feeling I get when creating beach lots...A dive bar! Perfect! Thanks to drewsoltesz I even had a name for it...The Old Sea Dog Saloon! (Hey, it's on a beach and you can eat there, though I wouldn't recommend it.) It's great for sims who like to hussle pool, brawl, play poker, lounge in the hot tub, and then brawl some more. A word of caution with this lot - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They are there for a reason. Thanks.
I do have to say that I did have a lot of fun taking pictures of the sim I created to test this one. I called him Crusty SeaDog, and he looks as mean as his name. LOL! I think I took more photos of him than the lot! Hope you like it.

COURTYARD CONTEMPORARY - You will be happy to know that this lot is NOT a beach lot, and does NOT have any custom content. :D YAY! I really like the way this home turned out. The courtyard is lovely, and the bedrooms are spacious. See?! Told you I would get back to normal soon. LOL!
Thank you for your continued support, and dogged determination to stick with me through this beach lot thing. I am SO ready to make some good old fashioned Contemporary homes. LOL!
Thanks again!--Illiana
Beach lots...go figure!
As we ALL know, I just ADORE beach lots...not! Don't get me wrong, beach lots look great when you build them, and they stay looking great as long as you don't move them...unfortunately the point of building them, for me, is to share them with you - and that means they have to move. The tricky thing with beach lots, and the reason they are in their own category in the lot area of the game, is that the lots do not completely adjust to the builders changes the way regular lots do. They adjust from the street end only. The beach NEVER adjusts to anything the builder does to it. It stays the same height depending on the spot you place the lot. What does this mean for downloaders? It means that you can place your lot, enter it to view it, and it will look great from the street...then when you look at the beach area you may find that items are floating and the stairs don't reach the beach! This is NOT the fault of the builder...it is a fault in the game itself. The beach areas do not adjust, so if you choose a new spot to put your beach lot, and the beach area is LOWER than your original lot's beach was, you get items floating. It can be a real pain in the tuckus to place them so that they look like their preview pics. Worse case scenario...beach lots can crash your game if they aren't placed properly or in the right lot. Some beach downloading tips for you: 1 - ALWAYS read the notes or special instructions when downloading a beach lot. Believe me, you will be a much happier beach lot owner if you do. And for the love of pete...follow those directions! 2 - When placing your beach lot, do NOT turn it or try to place it in any other direction than the way it came out of the lot bin. For some reason the game prefers that you take out your beach lot and immediately put it down from the street end without moving it about. If you do turn it or move it around to place it, you may just find it crashes your game! So before ever placing your lot be sure you know where you are going to put it and have it lined up before hand. 3 - If you place a lot and notice that items on the beach are floating in midair - don't panic. This just means that you have accidentally placed your lot on a beach which is lower than the builder created it with. Bulldoze the lot and try in another spot, or, if it's just a few items, simply grab them and set them down where they belong. Why am I going to all this trouble to write down beach downloading tips? Simple. I have created a new beach lot that has ruins set up in the ocean itself called "Lair of the Sea Witch". Cool huh? However, if my downloading instructions aren't followed you may find that it becomes a floating ruin...and many items cannot simply be plunked back down to beach level. Is it worth all the hassle? I think so! But, if nothing else, at least you'll have a better idea of what to do when downloading any other beach lot. :D Here's a quick preview pic of what I consider one of my most challenging lots...
One last thing about this lot - As you can see it is landscaping heavy, so if you have an older computer, or just a laptop, I would NOT recommend downloading this one. One cool thing though...even with all of the plants there is NO need for a gardener on this lot. It is entirely decorated with trees. :D
Hope you all enjoy the lot...I sure enjoyed creating it! :D

Storm from back deck
Few pics from a storm I watched coming over from the city. Hadn't seen the sky that orange in a storm before. Got lots of rain, even washed the car! (we're on water restrictions)

Gold Coast beach
A pic from the lookout near Greenmount on the Gold Coast. Love the beaches down here :)
The next story...
Well ... since I'm very busy at the moment (school, school, school...) I don't know when I can start with the next story, because I simply don't have time. But I already have a lot of new ideas, but I don't know if they are realizable with the Sims ... I let you know at my Blog when I started the next story, but if you already have some suggestions, tell me, maybe I use them! :)Three months
Well, staggering to believe but James is now three months old. He's just been jabbed today for his second lot of immunisations so he's feeling a little bit out of sorts. But, generally, he's a very good little boy who now weighs 11lbs 4ozs and is 59cm long!
Byron Bay Lighthouse
A couple of pics from Byron Bay. The lighthouse and my stalker Pelican. It followed me for 10 mins as we walked down the beach :)
Gardners Falls (near Maleny)
Just a couple of photos of Gardners Falls. We went there when my brother came up for a visit in May.
Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Life, ya know? Sometimes it just gets in the way of Simming! Ugh. Then there is that work thing you have to do, so you can keep buying Sim Stuff! It's not fair. I wanna be Suzi Homemaker! Then, I keep ending up going to my mom's house, for first one thing and then the other and one can not sim there. I've tried. Yes, I am heading up there to her house again this weekend. No simming for me! I need a pajama day. I don't see one coming anytime soon (The San Diego Fair is starting this weekend too, and I will be going there too! YEAH THE FAIR!!). Anyways, I just wanted to say HI to all of my friends..I am here to and all is good, just busy!To My Fans
...I am not 'disappearing', however I am not able to spend as much time with my game as I have been.I will be having surgery in less than 14 days, and aside from being terrified...there are some complications rising up.
I won't be updating the Andretti's as often as usual, nor will I be submitting sets as regularly. I hope that you all understand, and please do keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
I appreciate your unconditional loyalty and support. You guys rock!
News Flash!
Just a quick news flash! - My new 'Brick-Siding Walls' are due to be published on the 13th June, along with my refurbished 'Landscape Paintings', although from reading the news on the main page, it seems I may not have been at fault at all and they were fine all along - it was the site having a hic-cup rather than me - guess I'll never know for sure now, but anyway, I've re-packaged them so hopefully there won't be any more problems
Mad Cow! Teens on their way
I like challenging myself, and TSR really gives you a chance to take it to the next level!I'm working on teen clothing now. Some items are converted from my adult designs, and some are unique for teens.
I think I will probably keep moving down the age ladder, and then switch over to the male line.
Hope you like what you find here! What you WON'T find is lots of clothing that ended up in the garbage bin, as I don't think they were good enough. If I wouldn't download the designs myself, then they're not good enough to publish. (All personality tests claim I'm a raving perfectionist - don't know where they get THAT from...)
Important Note!
If you donwloaded my sunshine set or the first item of the set, redownload alpha dress mesh please. I realized that I uploaded my next set's mesh and I changed it. I'm so sorry for inconvenience :(Here's the direct link to mesh : www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/sims2/meshes/clothing/729438/
Summertime!!
Hey guys, thanks for stopping by!! Hope you enjoy my lots, and hope you all have a wonderful summer!!!!1 MILLION DOWNLOADS
I have reached 1 million downloads today! This is amazing and I feel very lucky to have so many people enjoy my work. Thankyou everyone who has commented/thanked me - I really appreciate it! :-)I'm Moving:(
Hello to all! I want to leave a note here that since I'm moving, I won't be able to reply to any comments or PMs for a few weeks. This move is quite a surprise to me, so I must pack and move quickly!Side note to anyone that rents their home - Please try to verify that your landlord is really paying their bills. I'm moving due to a foreclosure, which means my landlord didn't pay the bills and the bank wants their house! No sympathy is needed, I've found a nicer home;)
Thank you to all that have downloaded or commented on my recolors! I'll be back in a few weeks:)
TWO NEW STORIES...
Hi...again, thanks for the great response to my latest story, 'An Honorable Knight'. The Sim I used was so popular, I am going to use him again. (I got a lot of PM's and GB inquiries about him) to answer your question, I do not know where I got him, I get a lot of my Sim Males at all4sims.de, then add my own touches. One story is "SHIP OF DREAMS", starring the blond hero/hunk from 'Knight'.
Here he is with his lady fair...
The other Story is called "A Spurious Rake". It is starring a character that is beloved to a bunch of us Sims2 Story bloggers, 'Gabe', I have inserted him here as a notorious rake of Regency England. Thank you beth and gayl...
Hopefully I can finish these before the end of this month. I may post the 'High Seas' story first, as there is an SA contest for June for a 'Nautical' theme!
Thanks for the continued support and have a great week!!
And wow...over 50,000 page views and 529,000 downloads...I am stunned, and very grateful!~~Karen

Undecided
As I'm sure some of you have noticed, I haven't released anything lately. My mural collection is done, until I can come up with some more. I'm undecided on what my next project will be. I do promise you though, more things will be released soon, I'm just not sure yet what they'll be.One step forward, two steps back
Short and to the point, I suffered a big set-back with my health in May, but I am finally getting the better of it. Because my health has to come first, I won't be able to spread myself around like I formerly have. I am down-sizing my role in the greater Sims community and from here forward concentrating my energies only on TSR - which is deliciously drama light, content heavy. The Sims 2 is nearing the end of its production and release arc, but I won't let that dissuade me from riding it until the wheels fall off. I have plenty of ideas and plans, the sticky part is realising them. Look for new content for both The Sims (original) and The Sims 2 from me in the coming weeks.
I may very possibly become more productive than ever thanks to being sick... go figure

Thank you to all the many fans and friends who have expressed concern and kept me in their prayers. Godless heathen that I am, I figure I am precisely the sort that needs prayer most.
Especial thanks to Thomas and the other great folks here in the TSR Family for allowing me this time away to mend. I am more grateful than you can know. *giant hug*
"Shelby Hair" set problems
I've had several people today tell me that my Shelby Hair set has missing zips for the entire set as well as some of the recolors, so I've temporarily withdrew it until I can figure out why it's not working and hopefully get it fixed. It should be published again sometime in the next couple of days
ETA: I've reuploaded all the files, and I think it should be fixed now. It will be republished tomorrow.
ETA Again: It's published now and it looks like everything is working
Two lots pending
Simford City residential lot "Blue Studio" (unfurnished) and community lot "Pyramid" (furnished) have been submitted. I've used Cyclonesue's Invisible Driveway, wallcolors, newspaper stands and also her table, which is one of my favourites. Spaik's stairs are great, look really lovely and makes building lots much more fun! Tabbylou offers variety to the basic game content with her recolors. Lianaa's floor tiles match so well with Cyclonesue's wallcolors, I use a lot of Lianaa's tiles! And Steffor's Universal curtain gives a right atmospehere, I simply love it!
Immigration and computer worries
Well after months of planning, stressing and running around we are finally on the final stage of our immigration planning and if there are no more delays should be leaving SA at the end of July.To keep my site updated I was planning to build a ton of lots and then set them to release slowly over the next few months till such time as we are settled on the other side.
Unfortunately after completing 3 lots (and before saving them!) my computer has died without any warning and since we are leaving soon we have decided not to replace it. Now I am working from my laptop with is great for getting on the net and my work but not really not set up to run the sims2. I am hoping to still be able to get a few lots done on the laptop but they will have to be base game only as that is all I can run on here (although I want to try uni and see if I can get it to work) :-)
Anyway, this is the start of a new adventure for our family and we are all very excite (and stressed at at this point) but I am very glad to know that no matter where in the world I go I will still be able to keep contact with everyone here on TSR.
Regards
Strawbz
Collection Folder Update
I just added a collection folder to the Victorian Inspired Study set. As time permits, I will continue to create and add collection folders to some of my older sets. Take Care and Happy Simming! CarolynCustom Animations!
Thanks to Echo's brilliance and some well written tutorials, I'm finally getting the hang of making completely custom object animations. Right now I have a lot of ideas for "environmental ambiance", subtle things that add detail to the game. Swaying trees, grass that billows back and forth, signs and flags that swing back and forth.I started with the idea of a maple tree that sways in the breeze, but that didn't go quite as expected... so instead I've put that off a bit and am now working on garden signs that sway back and forth.
Cribs and Fences
I had a request a while back to make versions of the two cribs and change table from Free Time that would use the original crib's bedding for their bedding and ruffle textures. It's taken me a while to get around to it, but finally they're done, and due out on Monday. Unfortunately I neglected to note down who made the request, so I can't tell you who to blame... errr, thank... for this particular set of objects.

Sea Witch...
For those of you who are wondering where the Sea Witch lot went, it would appear that due to technical difficulties the Sims2Pack file seems to have disappeared. :( This appears to be a site issue, and not a creator issue from what I have read in the forums. The staff will be in soon, and then I am sure they will help us all get this sorted out.Until then, I have removed the file completely and will try again after we have figured out what the problem is. Thanks for your patience, and sorry for any trouble.

June Updates/Files Removed!
This outfit was originally a Maxis adult mesh but I thought it suited elders more so I changed it up a little and re-categorized it. Hope you all like!
Upcoming previeuw & submitting errors
Hi, dear Simmers! I have problems at the moment with submitting sets. I get an error message that says the set that I just created is not mine! Or.. it says I must have a least 2 items into a set. Wich is very strange, because I submitted 3 or 4 different items and it keeps telling me and telling me over and over again that I do not have a set. Stupid error!!
It's very strange and I don't know why this happens, because never had problems with submitting a set before. I posted my question about it at the forums, hoping that there is someone who can give me a answer. Especially because I did see that I am not the only one who gets this iritating error.
Here's a previeuw of the 3 different Toony T- shirt sets for boys- and 1 Toony set with 4 outfits for Toddlers, wich I am testing in my game to shoot some pictures for a nice previeuw.
There's a lot more to upcome, but we have to wait until the error problem is over. I hope it wil be very soon!
Thanks for reading and your sweet attentions.
I wish you all a very nice weekend! Grtz, Dirtdevill
Cancer
My dad's cancer has comeback again. He was diagnosed around Christmas 2006 after about 3 years of him being in pain, at first the doctors thaught it was piles, he was taken in for an op then they discoverd something that changed my family forever, he had cancer. They had to operate and he ended up with bags to collects his waste. Then they found another tumor in his liver and he had part of his liver removed. After a few months of him being clear he got an infection in his 'area' and they discoverd that it was another secondary. So I may not create as much because of this but I'm still here, if anyone is going through the same sort of thing or has been through it then I'm here to talk, I would like advice and I could possibly give some.Back with a Bang
Hi,I'm back now after a long gap, due to one thing after the other and I've got loads of ideas for creating new things so please come and check my page regularly and you will surely find lots of new things each time

Hi
Hi.I hope that all is well with everyone. I have not been here much and I am sorry. Real Life keeps getting in the way. I hope that all of that changes soon.As you can see by my current project that I am going to try and offer some clothing recolors. I will try to make most of these base game recolors. I am also going to try doing a lot for our male sims as we seem to be lacking in the mens department. Any how I hope you like what you see. Once again I can never Thank You enough for downloading my stuff. Without you I wouldn't be here.

News Update!
Hi! Just a quick news update - I have just uploaded a new set of walls which, I think, have turned out pretty well (but maybe I'm biased!). I've been experimenting and have come up with a combination of brick and siding, which look really good on single storey buildings, so I hope you like them! - feedback would be much appreciated!I have also re-packaged the files for my 'Landscape Paintings' which I withdrew a few days ago since a few people reported missing files, and have re-uploaded them also, so hopefully this time there should not be any problems - please let me know if there are.
All the best!
Mad Cow!
