Upcoming Series:

I have had a few people inform me that they would love to see a series of homes done in a contemporary style with matching elements. As I am first and foremost a creator for the players, I thought I'd give her a shot. ;) So here are some sneak peeks of the upcoming series I am currently working on. Bear in mind, these are just pre-test peeks so little things can change here and there, but the overall look will remain the same.

Contemporary Suburbia - A neighborhood series:

Plan:
4 Homes of various lot sizes and prices.
1 Community Lot - Mini-Mall
EPs: Uni/NL/OFB
They will all be Maxis only - No Custom Content (Yup, no CC)
They will all be fully tested before uploading.
They will all be fully furnished and ready to play!

Leaving Tomorrow

...tomorrow we head out. So, I won't be back creating until after June 8th. I'll still have internet access, but will be unable to play or create.

We're super excited about going to Georgia...it's going to be a lot fun...if we can get passed the family reunion!

Either way, just letting everyone know why my creating will come to a sudden halt! Feel free to send me PM's and comments and whatnot!

Wallpaper

I've been trying a lot of new things and am going to take a break from cloning and recoloring to make some wallpaper. Poll shows favorite themes to be 50s 60s 70s retro and gothic. I've got several cool sixties textures I'm working on and a few ideas for gothic papers, so check back.

I'm still around... I've been studying recently and am working hard on my final project for this year. I will be back in a few weeks' time :)

I'm probably the only person who's never seen this...

Today when I turned on The Sims 2 to check some of my new items in the game, I noticed something strange in the top left corner of my game. There, in all it's splendid pink glory, was what appeared to be a runaway Macy's Day Parade blimp. I think it was a pig, but I'm not sure since I couldn't zoom in on it.

Am I the only person who has never seen this before?

Well, actually its Evanston. Celebrating four family birthdays in a week amongst the eight of us that will be together. Balloons for the kids and Russians for the adults, YAY !

FIRST MESH PREVIEW!

Here is my first ever Study Table mesh... I am still working on it as there are some obvious unpleasant looks in it... anyway, I expect to finish it by today.. and I think I will be releasing a set too! The working color scheme is Blue and White/Gray with a Maple wood base... just so you know!

Upcoming Creations for this week

Hello, dear friends!! Thank you very much for all of your great support. I'm always so happy to read your wonderful feedback! This week I'm very buissy with my garden, and besides that I'm working on lots of new creations. The most of them are ready, but I have to take some screenies before I am able to upload them. For now on there's set of 4 different outfits with lovely Hibiscus flowers and tiger paterns. It contains 1 bikini & 1 swimsuite for girls, 1 dress for toddler girls and 1 matching diaper for both genders. Hope your Sims enjoy this Tropical summer! Here's a little previeuw for the upcoming creations for this week. I'm buissy with these ones. They are almost ready!

Internet

I lost my internet for about a week, but its fixed now! Phew! And theres another net set on the way!

Strawbed

Low bed with new animations. Made of hay or bushes. The animations was very hard to make but some are still a bit stiff. At least they are not floating in the air before going to bed:).

Busy at work

Hi all
My new job is taking up almost as much time as my old one, so it's leaving me little time for simming and TSR. I will try to finish off a couple of houses and floors I was working on this weekend and submit them as well.

Summer time

So the summer is here! :) Or, almost anyway. This is my favourite time of the year, beacause of the end of school and vacation!

So I thought that I should announce when I am going to be away this summer. On the 12th of June I am going to Malta, for 1 week. Really looking forward to that! :) And then later on, on the 24th of July, I am going on a vacation in Sweden for 2 whole weeks.

But on the summer I also get a lot of free time, so I will have plenty of time to create custom content! So don�t be worried! ;)

What I've Been Up To... And Updates!

I've been away for almost a month now and I am so sorry that I wasn't able to give an explanation. I was away for 3 weeks for a vacation trip to 2 countries. Though I initially planned to create stuff during the trip, I did not find the time to do so due to the very busy itinerary of the trip. And now that I'm about to enter college life, it seems like I won't be able to create that much. But don't fear, because I won't retire. I still have lots of stuff I am planning to create, and that includes more lots to come, a tutorial, and of course, when I get the time, I will try to study meshing too! I will be posting pics of my current lot in the works soon! It's part of my Stonewood Heights series. Anyway, that's all for now!

Computer still in shop

My old computer is still in the shop, so I don't have any of the files I was working on before. When I get it back, I'll be able to retrieve my Down on Main Street lot templates and continue with that series.

In the meantime, I offer you 200 Coca Grande Blvd. :)

A Day in the Sun

Took the day off and went outside. We've been putting in a huge garden and they were predicting rain, so wanted to get the corn, beans, cukes, and taters in the ground before the storm. It was a beautiful day, breezy, not too hot, and I was working on planting beans while sitting on my sturdy chair. I reached down for a tool and saw something move...a SNAKE! Yikes.

We have a lot of snakes on the farm, for the most part they are harmless black snakes. But this one was red and gold banded, thin, long and heading under my chair. My biggest fear was that my Jack Russell Terrier who was already under my chair would see the snake and attack it. We do have poisonous Copperhead snakes, and I was not sure just what this one was. Grabbed the terrier by the collar and pulled him to where I could see him...but the snake had disappeared.

Seeing as I'm disabled and getting up and moving is a major production, I started hollering SNAKE! SNAKE! and my husband hollered back from the house that he was coming. Those 30 seconds were about four hours long as I looked frantically for the snake while hanging on to my little dog.

Finally DH arrived and checked carefully under my chair and poked the weed piles around me...no snake. Then we spotted it slowly making it's way across the freshly tilled corn patch. From the safe distance of 10 yards and with the snake field guide in hand, we were able to identify it as a non-poisonous Eastern Milk Snake. Finally, it slithered off into the tall grass.

I am not particularly afraid of snakes, but having one within six inches of my hands and feet is just a wee bit too close.

It's never a dull moment here on the farm, but I'm happy to have returned this evening to my comfy chair and computer!

Hmmmm...I wonder if I can make a snake that could visit a Sim's garden??

Looky what I made....

I made her, she's Katie Price. I shall be uploading her to MTS2 in next couple of days. Unfortuantely I won't be active on here much at all anymore. Some things have not only come up in my personal life, but also word's been going round and I've decided to only upload to MTS2 from now on. I hope you all understand it is NOt because I don't like TSR, I just feel people will value my work better at MTS2. If my work improves I hope to be an artist on a free sims site, that's my goal, but if you look through my downloads, I'm not too great at creating yet huh? :P Take Care x

Middle Aged Kids...

Let me put that more clearly: I was requested to make some clothes for medieval children using default game meshes, and though I have had no luck with the boys so far (since there are no non-custom tights meshes for them) I have managed a couple of outfits for medieval little girls. They're not very glamorous, as they were requested to be suitable for athletic wear, so I have listed them as peasant clothing. I will make pretty medieval dresses if anyone likes, but I shouldn't wonder if there are thousands of them already out there (which is no doubt why I get the less glamorous jobs). ;)

Rebirth of Pleasantview

Hi All, I have fully restored the neighborhood of Pleasantview to the original state of the way the neighborhood should have been. The neighborhood before it was restored had alot of charactors in it never before played and lots of corrupt people with things not adding up. I have now resotred them with the help of SimPE. Over the course of time I will be submitting the stories on each family from past to present with new edition to this neighborhood. Goth, Crumplebottom, Lothario, Broke, Newbie, Oldie, Dreamer, Pleasant, Caliente, Bachelor and Burb families have been fully restored and they live on. New families that tie in with these are, my legacy family the Foley's, Barrows, Kimball, Kat, Beaur, and Wilburlab. A few more forgotton families are, Ruggbyrne, Darong, matlapin as well as others. Looks for these and thanks for keeping in touch.

New Set on the way

Ha Ha Ha!! I had to laugh. It was either that...or bump my head a few times on the computer screen. I chose to laugh. lol Even with a super fast new computer I had some issues with my Windows Vista and compatibility with some of my programs. I've either been able to fix those with upgrades or found another program that would work for me.

I'm working on a large summer set of clothing for female teens and will be uploading them soon. Sorry it has taken so long. :)

Milestone - 50k Downloads?!

I cannot believe that I have reached 50,000 downloads! You are all absolutely wonderful, and I thank you from the bottom of my pea-pickin' heart! It is so wonderful to be appreciated for doing something you love. For me, that is building. :D I have lots of projects in mind, and a possible series in the works, but we'll see how that goes. Thank you again for your support and your fabulous compliments! They really are appreciated...and I am NOT just saying that. :D

Getting a taste for it...

I never thought I would go into making clothes! Building lots has always been my favorite pasttime. However, I got inspired by H&M's Marimekko collection, and after reading Rockinrobin's Bodyshop tutorial (thanks for it!), I kind of got a taste for it. Maybe it's because I'm all for new challenges. My lack of self-confidence has kept me away from couture, as there are so many wonderfully talented fashion designers already! Dress-making also requires more skills with Photoshop than I had before. More often than not my designs don't turn out the way I want them, so a lot gets thrown into the garbage bin. But I hope you like what you find here. I only upload clothes I myself use in the game. Enjoy!

Free Range Cereal Bowl

A conversation in chat on Saturday reminded me about something I've long meant to make. If you have the Pets EP, toddlers will eat out of pet food bowls. This can be useful trivia if you find yourself with more toddlers on hand then your sim family can easily handle! Especially in combination with Atavera's toddler blanket, which allows them to put themselves to bed as well.

Of course, seeing a toddler playing with and eating pet kibble can be a little disturbing. So... I've remeshed a pet dish and created a cereal bowl instead!



It's only toddler-usable, so you won't have to worry about the household pets gobbling up the food meant for the kiddies, and it's filled with cereal instead of kibble. It will, unfortunately, still look like kibble when the toddlers play with or eat it... there doesn't appear to be any way of editing the special effects, at least not that I could find.

Current projects

Recently I've been working on many projects. I wanted to try something new and ended up with grounds. Surprisingly, they've turned up really well, I like them a lot and I'm even planning to build up a house using them. I hope that you'll like them as much as I do. It's going to be released tomorrow. The second project is a walls/floors set. It looks quite nice as well, I think. Out on the 27th of May. Here's a sneak peek: The last one are clothes. I'm following the poll, and after a lot of adults sets, I'm finally working on some teen clothes. These are quite difficult to make, I still don't have a half of it ready, but you can expect me to finish them during this week. All I can say is that they'll be requiring the Free Time EP to work. I know I've already said 'the last one', but this is not a project at all- I want to inform you that I've purchased Milkshape (finally!!). I'll slowly learn how to mesh properly..Including fat morphs, bumbs, alphas and all those crazy things, yeah. Stay turned!

New Poll - All About Walls!

Hi All, Thought I'd have another poll - all about walls this time - just to get to know you all a little better! Please vote - I do take notice you know! I have a week off coming up so I'm going to need something to counteract all the boring chores that need doing, so what better than a little creation and play! I've been working on some more paintings, following the results from my previous poll, and intend to upload them towards the end of the week, once they're completed. I've also been working on some new wall and floor sets, which I'll hopefully upload tomorrow. Busy Mad Cow!

The meshing adventure continues

I finally finished my office set, but I'm still waiting for the testing results, so I don't crash anyone's game. Anyway, here's a sneak peak!



Also, I just created my first fence today, and finished a lot quicker thanks to MsBarrows and sim_man123 tips. :D



I'll probably work on it a bit more, but for now, I'm quite proud of my first attempt :D

Audrey May

On March 24, Audrey May, our 12 year old basset hound had to be "put to sleep". She was having multiple problems and her quality of life was not good at all.

I am the kind of person who believes in getting another dog right away and on March 28 my husband and I adopted Droopy from the Rhode Island SPCA. He is a basset hound who was owned by two other families before he came to us. Poor Droopy was nervous and anxious when I brought him home and his tail was tucked permanently between his legs. He was afraid of sudden noises and if anyone touched him unexpectedly on any part of his body he would yelp and run.

After two months he is much better. He loves to run around the house and play and comes when we call him. He has come a long way. :)
