1 Briney Drive

I mentioned this lot in the description of Briney Mall. 1 Briney Drive is a residence with a business. Briney Mall is a complete transformation from dual use resedential to a single use community.

Anyways I uploaded 1 Briney Drive before Briney Mall and had expected 1 Briney Drive to be available before Briney Mall was. As of today 1 Briney Drive is still pending where Briney Mall is already approved. Hopefully 1 Briney Drive will be approved or rejected or something soon.

More Reflex Hall Updates

Now most of my Lavendar Halls are ready for modern graphics cards. Paintings and curtains are new, I decided to put them in 2 objects sets that I will upload later today.

Update of the Prague Lavendar Hall

I promised an update of my Prague halls and here is #2, the Lavendar. I added an extra sideboard, a painting and 2 Simtomatic beachhouse curtain variants and one additional Simtomatic roman blind. Hope you like it. The other rooms in black, darkblue, lightblue and earthgreen will follow soon with additional paintings and Simtomatic curtains.

Quality - Set Pictures

I'm not sure I like the Neon set pictures, I'll admit this is an area I'm not very good at yet but it doesn't reflect the quality of the items themselves. It just means I still have a lot to learn about showcasing my creations! ;o)

Cyan Fence

What started out as a simple idea for a break from the Gargoyle project (which keeps growning and gaining parts everytime I look at it, lol) has turned into a big idea with 3 fences and floor-edge skins and caps and... yeah. But I'm glad it did because I think it has turned out quite nicely. The fencing is positioned off-center so that it fits fully under the flooring above. I made left and right fencing so that it looks better where it sinks into walls. Normally you would have the exposed floor edge showing in the image above, where the floor is above the fence. This always happens in this case and with decks on second floors, etc. Kinda always irritated me. So I am making a very simple 'skin' that can be placed over those edges to hide them and make your house look more 'finished'. The fencing is done, so once I've tweaked the floor edge skin for the billionth time to get the size right I will be able to submit these items.

I Could Be A Doctor

From what I've witnessed over the past ten years with MY doctor, I'm quite confident that I could do his job. Listen to patient, take notes, look up random drugs, write prescription, collect paycheck. Got it.

The man has been treating me for the same exact thing for 10 YEARS, and I get the same response every time I see him. "I don't see any change in your blood work...Hmmmm... Let's try this." **Shrugs**

Wow, that reassures me. At least he's consistant. Basically what it boils down to is that he DOESN'T KNOW what to do. Okay, no problem. I wish doctors would just be honest about what they do and don't know, rather than trying to act god-like and prescribe you all sorts of BS that won't help. I'd be far more willing to go along with something if they made it clear that it was more of an "experimental" sort of treatment to see what works. I'm not stupid, I know when you don't know what you're doing...

I swear, it took like 13 years for them to realize that I had Lupus. Heaven forbid that they listen to me and go along with MY theory of all the symptoms being related. No, they want to treat every symptom individually, or insist that I take an antideppresant because it's "all in my head". WTF?

I started this rant because of the newest thing to happen. My doctor finally figured out that I have endometiosis. Of course, they had to cut me open to figure it out, but I'd say it was well worth it. Now that man can't give me anymore crap when I tell him that my PMS includes so much pain that I can't WALK! That man used to look at me like I was crazy when I'd explain it to him and then try to prescribe Zoloft. Hello... I'm not depressed, or crazy. I have PAIN. MEN!! The best part? They're not going to do anything about it. Too risky to cut it out, and the drugs that are supposed to help don't mesh well with me. My prescription? "Take Advil." Which, if he'd bothered to care or just look at my file, would know that I can't take Advil, or aspirin. I've been with him for 10 FRIGGIN YEARS!, and he can't remember that?

I think I'm done with doctors for a while. Until something major happens, like my arm falls off, I won't be making any appointments any time soon.

Anniversary Waltz

To celebrate my forthcoming First Wedding Anniversary I have created a set of 18th century ballgowns in the style of my own bridal gown. The beautiful afprincessgown mesh was created by Siluetta and is available here at TSR. The gowns come in 14 colours, some with contrast front panels and sleeves, some with lace trim at the neckline, all with rose embroidery on the bodice and lace up corset back. For maximum versatility, I have deliberately not included any jewellery as part of the gown; the neck is bare so that you are free to use and alternate the jewellery of your choice. I would highly recommend Xandher's stunning Collette Choker Collection , which complements the gowns perfectly.



The gowns are available for adults and young adults.

Building my lot in real life:)!

Hi!

Spring is beautiful and also full of outdoor work in the garden! We are going to rebuild our terrace with friends next weekend, so I'll be really busy! It is a large terrace and practically our only "outdoor living room" because we live on a very steep & rocky ridge. There'll be quite a few friends helping, weather should be fine - sunny and relatively warm - and I think we'll have a really good time working together!!

I have set aside my Arles collection, though I should sumbit the home business that is almost ready. After that I feel like returning to white buildings, lot of glass, seaside views... I'd actually love to have a holiday by the sea....

Anyway, thanks to everyone who visits my site!!

Does Anyone Actually Read This?

Just wondered! If you do, perhaps you would like to comment on what you would like to see next. I have many ideas, and a few creations 'in stock', yet to be uploaded and published, but I would really appreciate your input and ideas For example: Would you like more styles of Walls & Floors from my 'Pastels Collections' or my 'Pale Pastels Collections', or would you prefer a new set of colours? Are there specific types of Wall or Floor you would prefer - wood, carpet, paint, wallpaper, brick? Or would you prefer more decorative items such as Rugs and Paintings? If there is anything else you are particularly looking for, please let me know (nothing involving meshes though - I haven't got that far yet! ). I will eagerly await the thousands of replies this will generate - Ha-Ha! - Forever optimistic!!!! Mad Cow

Neon Obsessed

I find myself having a strange attraction to Neon at the moment! LOL I'm not really sure why either but the weird thing is the music for Neon East district (The Urbz on PS2) keeps playing in my head too!! LOL So I have just prepped 7 different neon images into 7 different colours each ready to make into floors. Now I'm pondering how to split them for sets, by colour or by pattern?? LOL I noticed when looking at my old TS1 stuff that the original neon wall I released was the most downloaded item, problem is the original image is lost!!!! So now I have new ones and hope they do as well as the original ones did ;o)

Child Box Car

It mooves a little forward and back just as the toddler box car.

Well now, I've got a bit on my plate this month. Here is the list I've given myself to accomplish:

1 - Get tutorial approved...not gonna tell you what it is until I'm sure it will be uploaded for publication though. ;) It isn't a big "Gasp! No one has EVER done this" serious secret tutorial thing, so don't expect too much. LOL! If it isn't approved...

2 - Create some more Base Game abodes.

Adding in time for testing, tweaking, pictures, graphics...

3 - I have two more "Grande" projects in the early planning stages as well. These, however, will probably require a few EPs.
(Hey! Come on now! Give me a break! It's TOUGH decorating with "base game/Maxis only" ALL the time. I need a little variety once in a while as well. Plus, I'm getting durn tired of the same blue wallpaper in every single boys room. Argh! I need at least a chance to see some other colors people. LOL! Not to worry...these are to be Maxis Only as well...just more variety of Maxis only.)

Whew! (Well, it's not REALLY like anyone reads these things, but at least I can keep track of my current project list. ;) ) Keep on simming, and thank you again for the wonderful support and comments everyone has sent me.

Awaken 4rm Da Dread

Actually, dread from the awakening... I have unwilling spent a crap load of time in "RL". I know, it's annoying for all of us; But I'm proud to say that I'm finally done with moving in and just about done with this semester of college. HU... RAH. Furthermore, I'm still trapped in Wonderland and have gone completely bonkers and I believe that I'm enjoying it? >XD. Not to mention that insanity keeps humans away. Emmmmm, imagine that. >XD For all of my Simmer buddies out there, I would like to say that I have missed you immensely and I'm elated to be back in Cyber World with you all!!! Mwaaaaahaaaa & Muah! Your lots no longer locked if you use my tat!

One change I was admittedly totally negative about at TSR was the fact that builders who used FA creations in their submitted lots were suddenly having their lots locked as subscriber-only. That sucked; as one of the founders of TSRAA, the whole point was that lot builders could use TSRAA-marked work without worry or concern, without having to worry about giving credit and all that tosh...

Well, a huge, huge thanks to TSR who've given this a rethink and will no longer be locking your lots if you should ever use TSRAA items made by FAs.

And ALL my stuff is TSRAA - even if I've forgotten to mark it as TSRAA. Use it freely in your lots - no need to ask first. Recolour my rubbishy meshes too, again, no need to ask. Please do as you like.

That means you have NO excuse now not to use my reinforced steel girders and my dirty toilets sets! There'll be none of this pitiful "Oh Sue, you know I WOULD, but my lot would be subscriber-only..." nonsense any longer! Ha! You're cornered now, and I will be watching!

Canopy issues solved

Sunni Sims has updated the canopy mesh for the Bed in a Bag series and I have updated all of my recolors. If you download the new mesh, you will also need to re-download any of my previous recolors. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this was the only way we could get it to work with Free Time. If you still have the old mesh and aren't using FreeTime, you'll need to download the new one in order to use any of my future recolors, as I'll only be using the new mesh from this point forward. The new mesh will work with or without Free Time installed (but does require NightLife)

Love Stories

My First Wedding Anniversary is rapidly approaching and I wanted to make something appropriate. The first anniversary is traditionally associated with giving gifts made of paper, so I decided to make some decorative books with a romantic theme. I found some wonderful meshes made by Thayet here at TSR and set about researching the great romantic novels. I was surprised and rather dismayed when I realised that almost all of the great love stories are tragic: Romeo & Juliet, Wuthering Heights, Gone With The Wind, Anna Karenina, Dr. Zhivago, The English Patient, Love Story, Les Liaisons Dangereuses...I wonder why that is. Is a happy ending just not dramatic enough? Please let me know if you can think of any great love stories with a happy ending!



This set requires five meshes created by Thayet here at TSR and the books can be found in the game under decorative > miscellaneous. Unfortunately, your Sims won't be able to read them. Probably just as well, really, as they might just get upset!

Loads of Stuff

A few different things... One is that the frame recolours I did to match Cashcraft's beautiful Victorian furniture have now been released. Enjoy! Lately I've been going through my working directories to sort out a lot of past projects, and delete stuff that I never did get working, or decided I didn't like enough, and so on. In the process I have, naturally, stumbled across a couple of forgotten projects, things I started on and then lost interest in, or things I'd made but never gotten around to actually releasing. I'm trying to get some of these cleaned up enough to actually release :) The first of these, which I'm just some wallshadows away from releasing (gah! wallshadows!) is a pair of art deco style beds. I'd been experimenting a long while back with getting the appearance of flame veneer - that's where you take two sequential slices of veneer and put them together in a mirrored arrangement. It was very easy to recreate the effect on a mesh. Anyway, a few weeks back I noticed the meshes still sitting there, having been ignored for well over a year, and decided they were too pretty not to share. I've made a matching endtable so they're not totally alone, but I'd have to say that at the moment at least, I have no plans to ever build additional completer pieces to go along with them. Who knows - I may be using them myself some time and get irritated at the lack of matching bits and pieces and change my mind. They should be out some time in the next week or two. There are also some Bentform build items that I've had floating around for ages and not published... a column and a staircase. I also have a meshed-but-never-packaged fence and gate in Bentform style. I'm hoping to get these cleaned up and released as well, though I'm waffling on the fence and gate (grrrrr that fences can't be recolourable nor use the repository technique...) I also finally (finally!) got around to packaging up the Shannanigan-matching toaster oven recolours that I've been neglecting for months. You know, the ones to match her retro kitchen... the ones that are of the only base game small appliance I haven't already released a recolour of. Yeah, those ones. Anyway, those will be out this week. And I'm considering doing another set of recolours, in order to recolour the kettle BBQ to match also. Let's see... what else is pending... more oil painting recolours of my photo frames are queued up, as well as some sets based on the fantastic screen shots of aikea_guinea. You won't find most of these images here on TSR, they're from her galleries elsewhere. Future plans... more recolours. A Poorhouse bedroom set. A Pipe Dream kitchen! Some additional photo frame meshes I've been meaning to make since back when I first started working on the original meshes. Some more clutter! Probably a whole bunch of other stuff as well, whatever catches my attention at any given time. Oh, and a final bit of good news - I just ordered a new PC today! Wheeee! My 6-year old P4 1.7Ghz is looking forward to its quiet retirement as my "surfing/working while playing" machine, and no longer having to deal with loading 30k+ custom content files... poor thing!

Well I have been busily converting some of my TS1 walls for TS2, did have a panic trying to relocate the original images I used but managed to find them in the end! LOL

So I have submitted the Glow Dragon wallpaper set and am now keeping everything crossed that they get published. Thanks again to Atwa who advised me on making a set picture.

Also today I have added a new Banner, it's only a temporary one until i can figure out how to do something better. LOL

Hi,

I just found a really good Sims2-site, where everything is in Finnish. I know only too well that trying to cope with a foreign language requires extra energy and it's very likely that misunderstandings happen. Therefore I'd like to warmly recommend www.radosims.com for those who want to know more but can't use English. Please forward this information to all who you think need it.

I can't desing enything at the moment. I have my job where temporarily I must work for two, because my collegue is absent; my paintings require a lot of my time - I have several ordes, it's nice but tough - and my baby girl will be 18 soon and I need to plan a nice party for that. I can't understand that she's all grown up, it was only yesterday when she was a sweet little girl!!! And anyway I really would like to have a computer of my own! I'm so fed up with stanting in the queue waiting for my son (15) stop playing, waiting for my daughter stop sending messages to her friends...

Life is hard, don't you think;))!

There'll be a new free starter lot soon to be downloaded. I would also like publish my community lots that look like provencial small towns, but that may take some time because of RL.

More Paintings Coming Soon!

Just a quick update to say that I have completed my second set of paintings - snow scenes this time (in case you need cooling down after all the 'Tropical' sunshine! ). I'm amazed at how popular my first set is - maybe not many downloads by some artist's standards, but I'm really pleased that so many people seem to like them - and a big hug and "Thank You" to those who have left comments & 'Thank Yous', it's great to get those! I've been sidelined a bit by a couple of Challenges these last few days, and I guess I'm becoming somewhat addicted to them at the moment, but I still have more creations to offer (another set was uploaded tonight, or rather I should say this morning! - just had to complete my last Challenge first!), and my new paintings will be uploaded tomorrow all being well Mad Cow

Simmer Sun Signs

My Simmer Sun Signs poll has been running since 1 Feb 2007, so, after over 14 months, I think it's probably time for a new one! Thank you to the 1694 people who participated. The question was, "What is your sun sign?" and here are the results in descending order of popularity:

If each sign had received an equal share of the vote that would have meant 8.33% each. At almost 10% of the vote, Taureans seem to be much more prevalent than would be expected by chance, and, at under 6.5% of the vote, there are proportionately fewer Sagittarians playing the Sims than predicted. I was hoping for an obvious ranking of signs according to element or quality, but this doesn't seem to have happened. I am not an expert in statistics or astrology, so further analysis by someone who knows about one or other - or preferably both! - would be appreciated.

I have recently installed Bon Voyage, which I think is a fantastic expansion pack. It has re-kindled my passion for The Sims, which had been waning, and I am probably more excited about The Sims now than I have been since first installing The Sims 1! This led me to wonder which are other people's favourite packs and this will be the topic of my new poll. It's a bit of an old chestnut, I know, but I'll be fascinated to see which packs come out on top - and bottom!

Beach House Lounge

A new set is due on Monday 14th April: the Beach House lounge. Consists of 13 new meshes with 3 set recolours. Most of the objects have had their container slot files modified. Container slots, for those who don't know, are the spaces on objects that are reserved for you to place functional and decorative objects. There's a TV Cabinet with 2 additional slots on top of the cabinet, plus a slot underneath the TV to place the Maxis games console. There are also shelving units with multiple slots, console tables for your living room or hallway, tallboys, coffee tables, a sideboard and a huge 3-tile dresser. Credit to Anoeska_B for her fantastic tutorial on slot files. All items in this Lounge Set are Base Game objects that are compatible with all expansion packs up to and including Bon Voyage.

New Sets....Ideas anyway.

Okay, I have a sim called Rose, she doesn't suit any of the maxis clothing so I made my own for her, I also made a hair style and eye brows, heres a preview of the set, and I will make other ages too!

Aikea's sets

Aikea Guinea has been doing some wonderful meshes lately.... well let's be honest all Aikea's meshes are gorgeous. But I just so happen to adore her teen with sneakers sets. So I have done a huge (10!!) recolour of her teen girl set, and will do a recolour of the boy teen, shorts with sneakers set. Which I am recolouring today! hugs Nancy xx

FoMD Kitchen

The kitchen set is now done and I'll be uploading it today. I don't know whether the bathroom set or the bedroom set will be next. I've also got the recreation set to do still. Probably two weeks more of work and this set will be done and most of it will be out for download. Maybe for my next project I'll do one of the texture challenges. I noticed that someone else has some of the textures that I've found recently and used them for wall papers. I don't want to risk doing the same thing someone else has so I'll put them away. I do know that my large appliances in this set are similar to a color that was done by someone else about a year ago. I can only hope the color is enough different to pass inspection.

Chocolate addiction and meshing

Life is unfair and that's the only explanation for being addicted to chocolate and allergic to it at the same time. After two weeks without a single bar, I'm starting to experience withdrawal symptoms (as should be expected), so I decided to get over this by reading AnoeskaB's meshing instructions for beginners and make something related to my addiction.



Luckily for me, the talented, wonderful Spaik helped me in the process and gave me great tips. I guess this is one of the more reasons why I like TSR so much :D

Current Project

Just thought you might like a sneak peak at what I've been working on lately. This one is more of a French Chalet...but it's tough to get it right since Maxis is kind of lacking in that area. Sooooo...hopefully this one will be in the Pending bin in another day or so. (Have to test it too, so we'll see...)

Be aware that this is a work in progress, so changes may occur before its release. Things that won't change?

1 - It will be expensive.
2 - It will require Uni, NL, and OFB. Sorry all, needed the half walls and certain commands I can't get with base game.
3 - It will NOT have any custom content. Maxis only.
4 - It will be completely playable.
5 - It will (hopefully) be beautiful!
