As you have probably all seen by now I am officially retired. I have truly enjoyed my time here at TSR and as an FA, and who knows one day I may start submitting again.Meanwhile I would like to thank all those who downloaded my creations and took the time to give me some great feedback without that, it would not been as much fun as it was.I hope you continue to enjoy what I have done and have lots of fun with your Sims.:)
Two Announcements!!
#1-With the holiday season over, I thought the threat of people posting glittery, blinky animations into my guestbook was over with. I was wrong.Someone sent me a very nice guestbook message. Unfortunately they used one of these graphics in the message and I was forced to delete it. I really, really, REALLY don't want to be deleting the message people leave for me in my guestbook. I LOVE seeing my guestbook signed (hint hint), but as a designer, those blinky animations are hideous to me in ways that I cannot even begin to describe.
I just...I HATE them. I'm sorry. PLEASE don't make me delete your messages! Just lay off the blinkies =[
#2-The Georgian add-on set will be coming soon. Unfortunately I borked some of the files and I didn't catch it until a round of last-minute in-game testing. That's why they haven't been uploaded yet.
I should be done with that in the last couple of days. =]
First Clothing Project.
I've been toying with the idea of trying my hand at skinning for a while now & last week I finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. Needless to say I've made a few disasters, but am now (fingers crossed) slowly getting the hang of it. My first project has turned into a huge one & I'm now begining to wonder why I ever started, I've been recolouring Maxis Cubbie Paws Kids Pj's from FFs, I really like the textures Maxis used but have always been really disappointed with the lack of colours, for me one colour in each texture just wasn't enough. So I've done 4 more recolours for each of the Maxis textures, that's 16 PJ's in total. Then I thought 'hey why not do the hats too'.....big mistake, I quickly realised I would have to recolour a hat for every hair colour, that's 64 hats, now my little experiment has turned into a huge huge huge project. Anyway to cut a long story short, I've done them all, I'm now in the middle of sorting out screenshots for them (that's taken me a day so far) & when they're all done I have the big dilema of how I'm gonna upload it all, still I'll cross that bridge when i come to it. Here's a sneak preview of a couple for you. All hats are in the correct hair colour bins & the hats & Pj's are all unisex.
Hiedi's house!
Hiedi made a house for me not too long ago ( Mellow Yellow! ) and I'm posting some pictures of the family that I have moved in. It's the Openbachs - Rolf, Lola and their twins - Tim and Tom along with their cat Mieow. I love all of Hiedi's houses because my families manage to fit right in!
Karie's house!
Karie has a house soon to be uploaded to TSR and it's great! I loved it the minute I saw it (especially the view from the kitchen table to that wonderful mini lake and that hammok!) The Jenkins, Bob and Petra, Kyle(Bob's son from a previous marriage),Serene, little George and their dog Husky, moved in and are having a great time in their new home!
Finally...I'm back!
Finally, my own minisite, I've been wanting one for quite some time!And now that I have this blog at my disposal I would like to say thanks for downloading my stuff and leaving such nice comments too! I never would have thought people would actually like it that much, the download counter stands at: 227,851. I thinks that's pretty amazing.
I have been away for a while due to computer problems and personal circumstances, but now I'm back and ready to start uploading some new stuff. I've got some new ideas but I'll start with two requests, these will hopefully be up by the end of the week.

I almost forgot to mention these portraits .... thought they would look good in 12 Grimmauld Place since it is the family home of the Blacks. Portraits include Bellatrix, Narcissa, and of course, Sirius Black's mum, Mrs. Black ... the screaming-mimi. Mrs. Black comes with a 'soundproof' curtain.TSRAA Items

I truly did the best I could on this lot. I am sure there are better 12 Grimmauld Places out there in Simland ... but this is the best design I could come up based on the available info that I had. I am currently working on a lot of new bikinis for all female ages. Actually I am doing the dirty work while my daughter is doing the fun stuff. She is picking out the patterns and colors. So they are coming from the mind of an 8 year old! Well she will nine in March, but they are basically all of her creations! She even picked out the bases on which to use for the swimsuits!Happy Simming

Windows Woes
It actually managed to snow here this week, and we lost power for a brief period a few nights ago. Once power was restored, I discovered that the sudden outage had somehow damaged my Windows XP installation on my computer.Luckily everything important to me is stored on other paritions or physical drives from my OS, so I was able to reformat the partition and reinstall Windows without really losing anything besides some things I had downloaded and left on my desktop (all of which can be reobtained). I'm still in the process of reinstalling, but I've got the Sims 2, SimPE, Milkshape, and Photoshop reinstalled.
I have discovered, though, that I did in fact lose one thing that I miss: I was working on a living room set to upload here that I was keeping in a folder on my desktop. Unfortunately it's now quite gone. It's just as well, I suppose. I really hated how it was turning out. Maybe a fresh start would be better, or another project altogether. I still have a LOT to learn about meshing, UV mapping, and texturing before I can upload something of that cailiber here, anyway.
Minisite!
Well, I have been wanting a minisite for a LONG time, and I finally saved up enough Kudos to buy one :D Hopefully I can motivate myself to make some new creations so I can make use of it. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded my creations and thanks to everyone who has left me such kind and wonderful comments!Edit: Made myself a really quick banner. Not sure if I like it or not, but I wanted something to be there besides that banner that said 'Creations By Someone'. It'll do for now.

My personal life has somewhat overtaken my Sims activities in the past few months, but I am hoping to get back into the throng very soon.

Short Absence
Since the last two months of school is upon me beginning Jan.7, 2008, I will be publishing few and fewer creations during January and February. But when I get back, I will be publishing a wave of LOTS, OBJECT and ROOM SETS, and will be starting on MESHES too! WOOPEE!Until then,

New Years news
The new year has brought me back to my first love: build mode stuff. I've just released the Rhomb staircase with matching fences in wrought iron style and now I've decided to make some half walls. They are a bit neglected in our database, but from the poll that I've put up a few days ago they seem to be quite appreciated and used. The first set is a smaller version of the Half Centurion that came with OFB; I've made it thinner and took away some decorations on the moulding. And last but not least, I've made it in the colours matching Maxis walls. There are tons of those with the lower wooden panel or simple moulding and a lot of furniture uses the same shades of wood. There shouldn't be problems in matching these half walls. I've added a black one, that can be used almost everywhere.
This set will be released in a couple of days. In the meantime I'm working on others that will match Maxis windows and doors.
If you want something particular, this might be the right time to make your request.
The Sims Artists Union
Hi Guys,I got to the front page of The Sims Artists Union and there was this message there:
SAU is currently down for renewal of the site.
We'll be back on January 15th.
Okay now i have to say to all those people who keep reporting my Sims Artists Union Hair Recolours to please stop. I understand you are frustrated that you are unable to get the meshes but reporting my stuff isn't the way. I too am getting frustrated but with the reporting of my recolours. It's not my fault that the site is under maintenance.
The links DO work as a few thousand other people have been able to download the meshes. The Internet isn't always perfect and people do need to do maintenance of their sites every so often.
If you can't get the links to work or you come up with an error page contact me or check back at the SAU site in a few days. SAU has been unreliable the past month or so but they have a few things they need to work on to make the site better for you guys.
I appreciate so much that you want to download my recolours but It makes me feel horrible to log in and see that some of my stuff has been reported. So please just be patient with SAU.

New Additions
Pink and Lime Plaid in white marble beaded moulding match the WMBRLimeStripe in the WMBRStripes2 set and will be used by KatCat in another recolor of Cashcraft's wonderful Vintage Charm bedroom set. Please to sure to watch for all the recolors she's doing, they are really awesome.I'm also including an image of a very fancy silver frame I'm still working on. I'd love to know what color interiors you think it should have. Please feel free to comment!

I've decided to do a series of lots which all look similar and so can be placed to create a little mini suburb in your neighbourhoods.First up is Hudson Place, which has three houses and a grocery store. The houses are all two bedroom but vary in footprint size and can be remodeled with ease.
They are all decorated but have been left unfurnished for you to add your own style.
Next Project
It's been awhile since I've made anything and submitted anything, but I plan on beginning a new project soon (as well as finish trying to fix the Modernish Kitchen bookcase...) My next project will be a Nintendo themed set. That's all that I am revealing right now, but I just want to give you all a heads up and let you know that I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth, and that I still plan on creating.That's it for now!

MY OWN MINISITE
Yeah, I'm so happy, I have my own minisite.Belated Christmas Set
I had originally hoped to get this set done before going on holiday last month but alas, it was not to be. However, I have now returned from visiting my family and after having caught up on my playing addiction, I finally finished off this set. Since I've been away, my Sims are only now celebrating Christmas, so hopefully there will still be a few of you in the same boat who can get some use out of these now, otherwise you can stock up early for next year. :P To be published Sun., Jan. 6'08.
Also, if you're enjoying these themed dinner party sets and noticed that Hallowe'en was myseteriously skipped, don't fret - I'm well aware of my sorry lacking of Hallowe'en creations this past October and I do plan to add some Hallowe'en dinner party sets; perhaps a New Years set or two, as well. I probably won't wait for a given time of year to do these and will just slot them in when I have the time and inspiration so be on the look-out.

I hope the new year will find you all happy and healthy. My husband and I are not into the whole "go out and wish there was a miracle cure the next day" thing (been there, done that), so we spent a quiet night at home watching the squawk-box.My TSR New Year resolution is to try my hand at meshing. I have been quite curious about this for some time, and have even tried it on a couple of occasions, but that was over a year ago. So, all that information was not retained by my brain. We'll see what happens, eh?
Plus, there are still LOTS and LOTS of Studio K wall and floor designs coming your way.

Lots of Walls and Floors
A while ago, I worked on a few walls for one of my sims family. I ended up using none of them *sights*, but I figured I could do a few recolors and upload them to TSR.So, for the few next updates, you can expect a lot of walls and some floors, instead of floors. I hope you'll still enjoy my creations :)
Here's for you a preview of the next 3 sets; the first is "Fruity lines" (6 walls)
Next will be "Fruit Sensation" (6 walls and 6 floors)
Then "Fruit Wave" (8 walls)
After that will be a surprise though ;)

Creating...
Where do I start, lol.With recent special occasions (christmas, new year) I have been working a LOT of hours at work, getting up early and going to bed very late, and it's also very busy where I work. I currently don't have the energy to make items for the game and am enjoying playing it when I get a chance instead.
I'm sure you'll all probably think "excuses, excuses", but really, put yourself in my shoes. I'm finding it hard staying awake while typing this and am aching all over, am about to go to bed, it's 22:40 here.
So, for those of you who like my creations, thank you, but I'm gonna take a small break.Once work is less hectic I shall continue to improve my work and further create, but at the moment, I have no idea when that'll be.

...New SimPE... meh....
You'd think by this time I would be used to SimPE being constantly possessed by unclean spirits from the infernal pit. I don't blame anyone for these little, annoying... really really annoying... hiccoughs that SimPE suffers. Nevertheless, I am vexed by them.One version clones stuff without a problem, the next version won't clone these items. Take for instance the tombstones and urns for departed Sims.
I could previously clone them in the Seasons-ready release just prior to the BV-/TSS-compatible version. But now, nopes. I end up with a package with a single item that is already deleted. Go figure.
Or let's consider the Arte nouveau armoire, in the pre-Seasons version of SimPE, it cloned without a problem; the next two versions of SimPE won't clone it properly. That's how I made my Artist's Loft wardrobe.
I don't want to seem ungrateful for all the hard work that goes into making and updating SimPE, but I'd be ever so much more grateful if it didn't constantly mean losing some functionality.
I admit, I don't know my head from my buttocks when it comes to .NET programming; but I am pretty handy with VB, C, and C++, and when it comes down to brass tacks, all programming is pretty much the same. 4th and 5th generation languages are several orders of magnitude easier than the 2nd and 3rd generation languages I was taught "back in the day", but that doesn't mean they're without difficulty or risk of error. *sigh*
I really am thankful, but -- like I said -- I'd be even more thankful if things that used to work didn't stop working with every new release.

Well Happy New Year to everyone! My next project will be ready in a week or two ... and I want to offer a special thanks to Zenta889 for giving me a kick-start to begin this project. With her request, I have begun '12 Grimmauld Place' from the Harry Potter series. I don't have much to go on in terms of specs (book/movie/game/HP Lexicon) so it will be what I think it would look like. I'm sure everyone has their own vision of it ... but I will do the very best that I can for all you HP fans out there. And it will be slow-going since I am creating new textures as I go ... room by room, etc. Now the odd thing about this project is that it will be a 'series' of 3 lots ... that's all I will say for now ... but here are 2 preview pix for you to gander (no, not the goose), at....
