New Minisite
WEll, I finally earned that Mini-Site. I'm working on a new neighborhood right now, but pretty soon I'll start uploading many of the lots.My first recolour
I'm officially insane, so I decided to have a go at recolouring. I followed some tutorials and applied it on some game base objects that don't require CEP files. And I came up with this: 1 bedding, 1 wall hanging, 1 armchair, 1 plant, 1 table lamp, 2 wallpapers and 1 floor carpet.
The submission is not approved yet because I requested it to be beta tested first, just in case I messed up... but anyway, I'm quite satisfied with the result, just as long as it doesn't crash anyone's game.
Pirate Fever
Isn't pirate fever another name for scurvy? or is it malaria?
I recently saw that some people think I have caught the pirate bug, some how, to me, this pirate fad is a bizarre thing I can't say I will ever understand. The very idea of heavily clothed murderous men with brown teeth in the tropics practicing dubious hygiene in an era when most people had two baths in their life-time and only used perfume as a means to stave off the plague... well, Hollywood and the Sims Community seem to have a different idea about these things.
Thank god for soap and hot water.
I do, however, have a fascination with the clothing, architecture, and arts of the 17th and 18th century; I think it has something to do with all the period art I saw while growing up in the Hermitage and St Isaac's Cathedral in (then) Leningrad; St Petersburg is a commercial sea port that came into being through the will of Peter the Great and it veritably drips with the history of that period.
Maybe I will make something for the game that demonstrates my love of the more conventional world that existed during the "Golden Age of Piracy" -- which is a bizarre name for an era. I mean, really, millions of people lived in cities and had normal lives compared to the handful of pirates. My heart is on the side of the hard-working sailors and sea captains that were of the more honest sort, rather than the ones who would ransom captives or sell them into slavery; but they all wore pretty much the same clothes, used the same technology, and walked the same streets, so then as now, it takes all kinds to make a world.
Sept. 1st, Collection Folders
Collection folders for the Vintage Victorian Bathroom and Victorian Inspired Kitchen sets are scheduled for publication on September 1, 2007. Happy Simming!Tasty Walls! and other juicy stuff!
Thanks to a request from cvscorpio28, my newest set of walls and floors are in the style of the TC29 Limes collection. that come in five very tasty colours: Old Orange, Tomato Soup, Cafe Creme, Cornflake and Chocolate! I had fun with some lino designs too!Starting with a recolour of the Candy-Coated Sofa and matching curtains I made a while back and took the screenies but never got any further with, I have completed a room set! File are on the File server just waiting to have their details added and will be available under a download button near you soon.
Also on my list for completion and submission are
oooh! a set of S&KCR crockery recolours, inspired by a wedgewood set I collected when I first got married...
another atomic furniture recolour - my list says orange and lime green!
a green check bedroom set that I have been using for ages but haven't gotten around to uploading...
some Seasons inspired carpets
Some Simaddict99 cushion recolours that are tremendous fun to do and use all those non-tileable textures! Hopefully I'll do several sets of these, the first 8 are in the room set I mentioned at the top...
and last but not least some Simaddict again curtain recolours.
Oh and I will be playing Bon Voyage! Have they invented the 48 hour day yet?
Hard work!
Well, finally my own mini site - not by award but by hard work! Now I have something to show off. I'm still quite crossed over my gold award not showing. What good is even a bronze cup if you can't flash it on your page?! It did show before the TSR update. Give it back to me!! Or I might blow my site up in the air!! (Yeah, I'm going nuts over my own achievement...)New Mini Site!
Welcome to my new mini site, I finally earned enough Kudos today to buy one! :) It's only been up a few minutes as I write this message, so everything doesn't look quite right yet! Going to make a banner later, so that should help it look a lot better! My first shared recolors!
I finally made some recolors I'm proud of enough to share here! My Gorgeous Tile walls had alot of downloads, so I decided to make a shower that matches them! They look great in game, and I hope everyone finds them useful!!
New Meshes!
Finally! Ok, so it only took a week. Having been the one on the working side of this, however, it seems like it's been months. lolSo I have 3 new mesh sets coming out. I was pretty nervous when uploading the first set, Simple Modern. Admittedly, it is not perfect and probably will never be considered my best work. I hope you all can forgive me for putting it out there, after working so hard on it, I felt I had to upload it. If you enjoy it, that's a huge bonus! But now that the first day has passed, I'm pretty excited about the next new meshes.
Tomorrow, a new living set. A lot of you loved the Retro recolors I did & many have requested more Retro sets so I had you in mind when creating the Spunky Retro set. I hope you enjoy!
Look for some recolors of the two living room sets and next week a new bedroom mesh set!
As always, hoping you all are well.
Big hugs!
- Stace
Ps. I also have some requested lamp recolors coming out soon, I hope Quengel forgives me my slowness in getting them out there!
1,00,000
Wow! I was away from the net for 3 days and when I logged on today I see I've crossed 1,00,000 downloads. It seems like only yesterday that I was hoping I'd get 1000 and now it's so many.I'd like to thank all of you who have downloaded my creations and made this possible.I know for many this is a small number but for me it's huge and today I'm on top of the worldHello!
***Lianaa***!Welcome to my minisite! I think some of you already know me from my site www.LianaSims2.com
It'a a real pleasure to be a FA here at TSR! I hope you will enjoy my custom content!
Coffee House Uniforms
Recently, I was asked if I would create a set of uniforms to complement a coffee house lot made by one of our Select Artists here at TSR, Silver Dagger Studios a.k.a. Daggs. Here's what I came up with:
Uniforms are available for elder, adult, young adult and teen males and females. The matching baseball cap is available for black, red, brown and blonde hair and must be downloaded separately. The set uses only Maxis meshes and all items are base game compatible i.e. you don't need to download any extra meshes or have any expansion packs installed.
Be sure to download Daggs' lot. We're planning to release both sets on Friday 31st August.
Any resemblance to a well-known Canadian coffee outlet is purely coincidental!
National Disaster
Deadly Fires Sweep GreeceThe last few days deadly fires are sweeping Greece. 63 people have died so far, a lot more are missing and over of 110 villages and small towns have been burned. Even Athens was in danger.
We are dealing with a National catastrophe which is still in process and right now we are in a nationwide state of emergency.
Please prey for us

Milestone
4 million downloads! At what point does one stop doing the happy dance when one reaches a milestone? I think for me it will always be this way. Doing a little dance. Handing myself and my friends virtual donuts. Thanking all of you so much for making it possible. I've only been doing this a bit over a year. It boggles the mind that enough people would want my meager offering to press download 4 million times! Thanks so much for your continued support. Love the thanks and the comments. Love being here at the #1 Sims 2 site. Having a great start to my Monday. Hope yours goes as well!TC 55 Uninspired
My TC55 set set is still in a draft state, nothing is looking like I wished to. That's why the room is so messy, nearly every object needs a redo except the tapestry.
Problem Fixed!
The problem I was having uploading part 2 of the Pedimentary has been fixed! The set will be available for download on the 26th =]High Life Dining Room Set and Old Creations Updates
Today, I have finally submitted the first of the High Life Dining Room Recolor Set- in White and Light Wood colors.Besides submitting this set, I have been going back and "updating" my first object sets and objects. The sets and objects that have have updated are:
These sets, I have fixed incorrect information in the descriptions/requirements. The objects that I marked as requring University, but I found out do not, have been removed. Objects that I didn't mark as requiring CEP, I corrected, and objects that were marked as requiring CEP but did not have been fixed. I have also fixed spelling errors, and etc. I plan on doing this with the other sets, and possibly updating some of the meshes.
That's it for now!
Happy simming!

SECOND POLL RESULTS
After little more than a month my second poll is over. I thank the 160 participants for your feedback: knowing what you want helps me making more things that you like. The question was: What kind of staircases would you prefer me to do?
31 people (19.38%) answered "Straight boring staircases, the only ones with fully working animations": to you I can answer that I'm already working on a coupe of straight staircases; it won't hopefully take too much before you see more of them in my portfolio.
28 people (17.50%) answered "Curved 'C-shaped' staircases": I'm glad you answered that, because I was seriously considering to do them and now you can be sure that I'll do them for you.
10 people (6.25%) answered "L-shaped staircases": I think that most people don't want these because the modular stairs are enough in most cases; I will give them a go anyway (not too soon though), trying to get the animations right too.
28 people (17.50%) answered "Winding Staircases": I've got one of these almost ready. Cyclonesue beat me in time though, so you might check her great portfolio in the meantime.
5 people (3.13%) answered "Folding stairs and ladders": so little people asked for these stairs, although my first folding staircase has been a great success. I'm afraid you'll have to do with that one for some time, but I can't say that I'm not going to make more in the future.
46 people (28.75%) answered "All of the above, no matter missing animations!": you are the easiest people to please; what can I say... I love you! And I'll do my best not to let you down.
12 people (7.50%) answered "None of the above, I use only Maxis stairs": I'm sorry for you, but I won't stop making staircases just to please you. Anyway, rest assured that I won't force you to download them. You can keep using only Maxis stairs, if you prefer so.
Anyway, it will take some time to offer you more stairs, since my notebook isn't back yet: the recovery time is longer than expected (see previous entry of my blog) and most of my latest work is entrapped there.
Celebration Starter
The last few days have been wonderful. I still think I am living a dream and refuse to wake up. I'm still not sure I deserve all this... Anyway, everyone at TSR has been extremely kind and generous, so it's about time I start to do something productive again. So I decided to make another starter home and it should be released this August 27th. It's my first submission as SA, and I am a bit nervous about it. I just hope you guys like it.

TC53 BBSL/Caravanshop Bedroom
For TC53 I chose a bedroom, mainly meshes by BBSL, completed by a dresser and a curtain from Caravanshop.
Appliance Recolors coming
I've gotten several requests to recolor the other kitchen appliances in the same colors that I did the refrigerator. Well, I'm working on it! Hopefully I'll be rolling these out in the next month or so. I've had a hard time with the Maxis stoves however, so I'll probably pull a different stove to recolor, I'm still searching for just the right mesh (that trips me up every time!)Updates
After taking a week off to celebrate my birthday last week, I've returned to simmy exploits. School starts again next Monday, and I don't know how that will affect my simmy projects.I have finished the 3rd part of the Pedimentary, My Dear Collection. The second part of the Pedimentary collection is going up today.
After that, I think I will return to working on my BIG project.
It remains to be seen whether school will heavily affect my productivity =/
Bold New Move Fails
Well imagine that, a poll with no place to vote...hummm. I think I will seek some help from a higher power, as in Atwa..or Immek,Sam
Fires: the delay is because...
Firstly, I decided (after the Spiral Stairs faus pas -stairs now fixed) to ensure that these fires are fully beta-tested (and this is going on right now), and secondly, I've been adding a few extra designs... Dome-shaped fire A small 2-tile fire for placing against walls...

Exams Moved
Due to the ravaging storms in our country, our periodical exams were moved to Sept. 4, 5, and 6. Therefore, new creations will have to wait until the 7th of September! In the meantime, enjoy the creations I have available in my minisite! Happy Simming!Happy Kids Walls and Floors Set

Vintage Barbie
I'm going back to my love of Barbie dolls this week with some vintage Barbie fashions. Here are the previews:Senior Prom

Cruise Stripes

Jumpin Jeans
Not MIA (Yet)
Hi, folks. Just thought I'd keep you posted on my current situation, should you be wondering where my usual monthly sets of garden flag recolours have gone or why I haven't completed your request or why I may have read your PM but not yet responded, etc. etc. etc.In short, I've returned to work. Some of you may know that I'm a teacher; an elementary school teacher (grade one, currently), to be precise. While our classes haven't started quite yet, we've had the half of the school building I work in renovated over the summer holidays and this week we PYP teachers are attempting to put our classrooms back together again. That means a ton of moving classroom furniture and unpacking 30+ boxes per classroom, sorting, organising, binning rubbish - you name it - all with last minute construction continuing around us. Needless to say, the days are long and arduous, I'm exhausted when I come home and my body is sore and aching and I can barely consentrate enough to focus when it comes to the computer. As of today when I left work, things were finally starting to take direction and hopefully tomorrow will chew off the rest of the worst of it - at least we live in hope that it will.
Anyway, we'll be meeting our new classes/students next Monday - hopefully the weekend will help to refresh me - and these first 1-2 weeks will probably continue to have me up in the air creations-wise as I try to balance getting settled with a new class, new work areas, new schedules, keeping up with the housework, creations, having a personal life (*gasp*) and oh yeah, the new EP coming out shortly. Bare with me and throw in a life preserver if I don't resurface. ;)
busy, busy, busy
Okay, there has been a surplus of work at work! I had a couple of trips too, a boat ride on the Hudson River and a weekend trip to Montreal to ride the rollercoasters at La Ronde. This week and weekend I will be working overtime for some extra time off for Thanksgiving. I will hopefully have the next chapter done in a couple of weeks. I have not forgotten. I have also signed-up for an online programming and online marketing classes. I am not sure how this effect my Sim time but I need the skills. I'm sorry I haven't been around much.
Flower Power
My second set of uniforms for Open For Business is a set designed for florists / garden centres. The uniforms are again available for elder, adult, young adult and teen males and females. The uniform comprises a natural hessian apron (with daisy appliqu on female aprons) worn over a striped short-sleeved shirt and classic stone Chinos. It was nice to have an opportunity to make use of some of the very cute Maxis hats. This time I used different hats for males and females (both are trimmed with fabric which matches the shirt of the uniform): for the ladies I chose an elegant straw sun hat trimmed with ribbon tied in a bow at the back; for the guys I went for a simple hessian sun hat. As before, the hats replace the Sim's existing hairstyle. For the ladies, the hair under the hat is worn in a short ponytail.
The aprons require Open For Business (unless you simply use them to replace NPC skins). Both hats are base game compatible.
Mission Style
Currently working on For Him, Den Set and of course, For Her, Denette Set. These recolors will go with any of the maxis furniture wood recolors and my wood recolors. Mix & Match! Set will be mostly furniture cushion recolors, curtains, pet beds (Maxis & Sa99), lamp shade, bedding, etc.Hope you like them. Keep On Simmin'! & Enjoy!
A Bold New Move
Well, for me it is bold. I ventured into the "Post a Poll" area of my site this morning. I have NO idea if I did it correctly, but it will either show up on my page or fly off into unknown territory. I know the question I asked is both thought provoking, and important to your life. Actually, I think you earn a few kudos if you answer!Sam
Note of appreciation
Hi. I've uploaded a few sets lately, that have been really welcomed by all of you! This is just a quick note to say how much I appreciate all of your comments, your thanks' and maybe just for downloading my things. I cannot thank all of you in your guestbooks, it would be such an honorable yet tough thing to do, so I'll thank all of you right here, THANK YOU! :)Faranak xxx
New updates hopefully soon!
I am hoping to release some recolor sets of the High Life Dining Room soon. The reason it is taking me so long is because I reformatted my computer and upgraded to Vista, but because of the headache Vista was giving me, I reformatted the computer again back to XP, so it's taking me a bit of time to get everything reinstalled. So, hopefully soon I will be able to submit the High Life Dining Room recolor sets. That's it for now!
Happy simming!

*Whistles Innocently*
Okay, that was a rather longer then intended break between the last time I published something and now. As usual, I blame my Legacy sims! They just will not shut up about their storylines, and every time I sit down to work on meshes or recolours they start nagging me...Well, I finally sat down today and finished making the .package for a custom chess table to match the Country furnishings from Seasons. It's the first in what is intended to be a whole series of them, I already have two more meshes made (Mission style from OFB, and something modern-looking to match the Glamour Life furnishings) and have at least two more planned; an Atomic Age (Pets) one, and one to match the Moroccan furnishings from the base game. Knowing me it'll be a while until they're all completed, so I've decided to release them one-by-one instead of as a set.
I also finished off another bunch of Shanni-Match appliance recolours, of the juicer, microwave, and coffee maker, which will be out later this week. More to follow eventually, as they do seem to be a popular download for people, and are fairly easy to create once I've gotten a .psd assembled for the appliance texture :)
KUDOS Townhouse Set
Firstly, profuse apologies for the necessity of a fix. The files have now been updated and anyone who has already downloaded it can re-download without spending any kudos. The set 'costs' 3500 Kudos Points. There are 12 files in this set: Townhouse Doors 2-Tile, STRAIGHT & DIAGONAL versions (2 files) Sash Windows - Short, STRAIGHT & DIAGONAL versions (2 files) Sash Windows - Long, STRAIGHT & DIAGONAL versions (2 files) Curtains - Short, STRAIGHT & DIAGONAL versions (2 files) Curtains - Long, STRAIGHT & DIAGONAL versions (2 files) 2 recolour files for the curtains in green and cream (2 files). A number of people have thought that the diagonals shown in the set preview picture were actually STRAIGHT windows. However these are the diagonal versions. The narrow windows, both long and short versions, are the STRAIGHT verions; and the wider windows are the DIAGONAL versions. I should have made this clear on the preview picture, which I have updated as below. The updated picture will show by tomorrow. If you check your downloads folder you should see that you have all package files in the set and in the preview picture. Diagonals do not appear in the in-game catalogue.
