New Gorgeous set released!
6/10/07 Today, my newest tile set was released, and I hope it is a popular one! lol, of course I do.. UPDATE!!7-30-07 The numbers of downloads on this set have completely BLOWN my mind! I'm near 11,000 as of today, and growing! This set gave me enough kudos for my mini site, so a huge THANK YOU to all who got this set!!!!Sets and Stories
On August 1, my next set will be published- The Modern End Table Set. It features 1 new mesh and 19 recolors. Currently, I am working on a new bed mesh with bedframe recolors.Also, I have submitted Extreme Sim Homemakeover Episode 8. It is divided up into two parts. After the first part is published, I will submit the second part.

Aug. 5th, Victorian and Traditional Curtains
Curtains, Curtains, and more Curtains! A set of curtain recolors is set for publication on August 5th. The set features recolors of my "Roselynde" 1-tile wall curtain, which is a 1-tile version of my "Once Upon A Time" 2-tile nursery curtain. Included in the set are recolors of all 3 OUAT curtains, and 3 new Victorian inspired curtains. In addition, the sheers and fabrics of the curtains are all mix and match!
Aug. 1st, Roselynde
You are cordially invited to dinner! August 1st is the publication date for my "Roselynde" dining room set. The set features warm wood tone furniture, fabrics in shades of rose and pink and several new decorative pieces. The set�s 2-tile dining room table is the perfect size for intimate dinners, small social gatherings and family meals. A finishing touch for the dining table is a decorative centerpiece--a vase of roses, salt and pepper shakers, a small tray and two candlesticks. The centerpiece will not interfere with your Sims ability to serve and/or enjoy their meals.

Survey & News
Thanks to all who voted on the Community Lot survey. I am currently working on a larger community lot for Bannoch Village (more shopping selection) and it is going to take me a while to put it together ... but it will be done!!Also, I just wanted to mention that my upcoming Harper Quine lots have a 'new' animated ladder (by Marvine at MTS2) in them. Fantastic! Your Sims will actually climb the ladder rung-by-rung. The animation is so real and fun to watch! Marvine granted me permission to use her ladder in my lots and I can't tell you how delighted I am.
I hope you enjoy her ladder as much as I do!!
Harper Quine's Cottage
No this is not a Bannoch Village cottage. I felt the need to work with some different textures .... and so this little cottage is the result. There are 2 different lots, one furnished and one unfurnished. If you have been using any of my cottages ... you most likely have all the deco shown to fit this cottage out anyway, so if you are concerned with file size, the unfurnished lot will be good for you. Note: I pulled these 2 lots to change 2 things ... 1) I added Marvine's (MTS2) "Ladder with Custom Animation", it is absolutely fabulous!!! The Sims actually climbs it rung-by-rung. Marvine was kind enough to allow me to use her ladder in my lots ... and I can't thank her enough! Wait till you see it in action! Very cool! 2) I wasn't happy with the flooring in the 'shed' so I added a couple of new flooring tiles (with dirt on them) to make it look more .... hmm ... rustic??.... Here are some pix of the furnished model with some notes:
I borrowed the name for this cottage from a medieval murder mystery I read this summer, "The Harper's Quine". I liked the name ... and thought it would be a good one for a cottage. The book was excellent by the way ...
There are actually 2 fireplaces here. I used Mia86's 'Fireplace with no Chimney' and using the 'moveobjects on' cheat, I placed Jasmine's large stone fireplace over it. It is functional and it might need a smoke alarm placed in the room. Not sure on this.
Now doesn't the flooring look better, lol!
Small Hiatus
Due to some real life happenings I was obviously not on TSR for over a week. I will *hopefully* be getting back into the swing of things shortly.Thanks to those who left me guestbook messages about being featured on the front page. I missed that. Ah well. I'd have taken a screenshot for my scrapbook if I'd seen it!

Just a little note to let you all know that I will be away for the next 2 weeks for a well deserved break! me and the family are off to Longleat. I shall try to refrain from feeding my children (okay they are 15 & 10) to the resident lions & tigers!I have quite a few ideas bussing around my head and i have been furiously collecting all manner of images ready to embark on several recolour sets.. If the hubster doesnt complain too much and "Get OFF that darn laptop WILL YOU!!" and "Are you simming AGAIN?!" sheesh! anyone would think we were on holiday to do... other stuff!
So I bid you farewell for the next 2 weeks.. and hubby permitting, have a mad upload spree when I get back with loads of fab new sets!
In the meantime.. I found this fab picture lurking on my hard drive, and it instantly reminded me of my beloved Zakk....LOL!

Modern Staircases again
Since my Modern Staircase has been so popular, I've thought of making some more recolours: four classic wooden colours and a couple of marble textures that I found quite original.While making these recolours I also noticed that the railings weren't mapped well (some textures looked blurry on them). So I took the chance to update the mesh too and do some smoothing to make it look more sharp. The old recolours work also with the new mesh, and I think they look much better. If you download the improved mesh, simply overwrite the old file.

I've gone back to my Charmed neigborhood mainly due to ChazDesigns' fab set of sisters and a Piper Halliwell career at mts2 - I've decided to have a go at career making and I've got a very promising outline of a Paige Matthews career! Shame there's nowhere on TSR to post careers... maybe there will be by the time I finish it!!!

This is my first attempt at a male hair recolour. I've always struggled to find hairstyles I like for my male Sims. This has always been my favourite Maxis male hair mesh so I decided to have a go at sprucing it up a bit. My recolour is a bit more curly and dishevelled with more shine than the original, which I feel is a bit flat.
This hairstyle comes in five realistic shades for male adults, young adults, teens and children: black, dark reddish brown, light sandy brown, red and platinum blonde. There is also a grey version for elder males. It's a bog standard basic Maxis mesh, base game compatible, requiring no expansion packs.

Welcome to my mini-site! Oh my gosh, I was made a SA and am so excited. Thank you TSR, but thank you also, to all the wonderful people who have downloaded my creations and left such encouraging messages. I cannot thank you enough. SamUpcoming sets
I'm still working on new sets for the Just Color series one. Upcoming is a kitchen and dining room. Then I'll have bedding and more curtains. Then I'll have a bathroom. I'm considering some nursery sets too, but I'm having trouble finding meshes that I like! I spent several weeks searching for just the right kitchen meshes, so I'm probably going to be recoloring maxis items for the nurseries.Just for grins, I've released a painting set. When I was recoloring some things for the latest living room set, I was playing around and stumbled upon making these types of wall hangings and ended up making about 3 dozen different ones. The latest set contains some of my favorites. I might do a couple more, I'm not sure.
For those of you who have downloaded, commented, thanked, etc., thank you so much for your support and kind words!

I'm currently working on several textures that caught my eye, however, I would like some opinions on them before I put a ton of time and effort in to making them into sets. Soooo... if you're reading this and would let me know what you think... THANK YOU!!!!

Problem with Downloads? Get Help Here!
If you're having a problem with downloads, please read below.Common Download Problems & How to Fix Them
Problem #1: "I downloaded your set and it's not showing up in my game. Help!"
Solution: Usually there are 1 of 3 issues that cause items to not appear in your game.
1) One or more items in the set require the CEP file. The CEP file (a joint effort by Quaxi, RGiles and Numenor) allows recolors of certain items to appear in your game that normally would not appear without the file. You must have this file when noted and it's a good idea to have it anyway because some files that require it are not noted as such. For more information on CEP and to download the file, click here.
Note: CEP is a one-time download. Once installed, you will not need to redownload or reinstall. It is a small file (less than half a megabyte) and very easy to install.
2) You do not have the expansion packs necessary for the downloaded files. Most every creator tries to note which EP's are necessary for their downloads, but it is very difficult sometimes to keep track of every item that came with every EP. If you have the EP's noted and suspect that you need an EP that's not listed for that item, contact the creator to find out which EP's they have. Make sure you have looked to see which EP's the set requires before you download. The items simply will not appear in your game if you do not have the appropriate EP's.
3) The item is a recolor that requires a mesh you do not have. All recolors requiring meshes are always noted with a link to where you can get the mesh necessary. It's always a good idea to download the mesh(es) first so that you do not forget.
Those are the most common solutions to the problem. Another possible explanation is that you did not put the download(s) into the appropriate game folder. I always recommend downloading the sims2pack file when available, it will automatically install the downloads into your game. See this link for more information on where to install your downloads.
Problem #2: "I downloaded the file but the zip/sims2pack file was empty."
Solution: If you have downloaded an empty zip, try downloading the sims2pack file and vice versa. If they are both empty, PM the creator and let them know. Accidents happen and they may not realize they uploaded an empty zip file.
Problem #3: "I clicked to download and got an error message or the file would not download. Please help!"
Solution: If you get any kind of error when downloading, report it here. A) There's nothing a creator can do about this, it's a problem with the site itself or the file server. B) TSR appreciates when you report bugs/errors! It helps them to maintain an error/bug free site and fix problems before they become a serious matter.
On a personal note: If you find a problem with one of my files and you leave a comment saying as much under the file in question, be forewarned. After I have fixed the file, I will delete your comment and you will lose kudos. This is not meant to offend anyone and I do not do so to intentionally cost you kudos. I also don't want to discourage anyone from telling me about a problematic file, I definitely appreciate your input! However, if the problem is fixed, I do not want the comment staying there and everyone thinking the problem still exists.
It's much better to PM the creator, including me, if you have a problem with one of their files.

I just came across a wonderful book full of houseplans and home designs... And I would like to tell you all that once I get the time, I will try to do as many of the wonderful homes in that book!... and of course, I will finish my story... hehe...

Wizengamot Wallpaper Set
More walls ... these are all new walls and I have not used them in any of the Bannoch Village lots. I just thought maybe a few of you would like this set just to be able to have a larger selection for your decorating needs other than the wallcoverings I use in the cottages. Talk about a l-o-n-g sentence there. Well, here are the walls . . .

Spiral Stairs
Yes, I'm making some, with a huge thanks to Spaik who showed me how to butcher stairs completely, and to Echo who has made a super tutorial on jiggling those green placement boxes about. Bannoch Village: The Jolly Brooms Pub
Yes, it is true! This is my very first community lot! Be kind now .... it is a bit different than building a residential lot ... and I am learning as I go. I thought I would start with a 'pub' because what is a village without a 'pub'(?)! A special thanks to cat3cm (here at TSR) for creating such a great 'saloon bar mirror' .... I already had the lot finished ... but I spotted her mirror and knew I had to have it in The Jolly Brooms ... it is so perfect. I did have to recolor it to match all the old wood in the pub ... and I hope the recolor does justice to her wonderful mesh. You might want to check out her other items in her Western Saloon Set (http://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/cat3cm/downloads/sims2/search_saloon) ... wonderful things ... and take a look at her lamps in the set ... nice, very nice! Harry Potter
Well, it looks like most people want candles, so that is good as I have TONS to upload. Nine sets as I have mentioned. Set number IV will be up this weekend.I finished Harry Potter Sunday night. JK Rowling did a beautiful job with it, so I am happy. I spent a lot of time shouting at my book, laughing out loud and crying hysterically. But I am also sad at the ending of the series. It might sound stupid, but Harry has been a big part of my life for the past several years. I will miss him, Ron and Hermione.

Harry Potter book 7
I got homelast night about 8pm and found my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. I had today off from work being I was not sure the return time of my Anniversary weekend trip. Well I read all day and finished it. If anyone has finished reading I'd love to talk about it. It's so sad that the series is done and I feel like an old friend has moved away.Kitchen 05

Summer Sets and More
Before the summer ends, I have begun work on some summer themed sets, starting with The Summertime Kitchen set. This set is in an antique white (yellowish tint) with orange and some yellow colored objects. This set also features one new mesh- a new smoke alarm.After this set, I will release a set that is just recolors of the smoke alarm. Also, I have been working on a new staircase mesh which will be a set and its recolors.

Bannoch Village: Goblin Cottage
Large, large cottage on a small lot. Great for a big family .... at least 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Still plenty of room to add on if needed! I was able to finish this lot on and off between my reading of the latest Harry Potter book (The Deathly Hallows) ... I am only half way through the book and I am enjoying it so much. It hasn't hit me yet that this will be the last book in the series ... And ... I see that I must start planning some community lots ... I thank everyone who has taken my latest survey ... it does help to know what you want! I, of course, am one of those that 'cheat', so I really haven't thought too much about community lots ... but I will now. Goblin Cottage ....
Zakk - Again!
I know a lot of you have been asking how Zakk our not so little rescue dog has been getting along... When we got him, we were told that he was probably about 8-12 weeks old because of his size... since we began taking him to the vets, it turns out that he was probably about 15 weeks. Due to him not being fed he probably stopped growing along with getting thinner. but his teeth and exam showed his true age. We have had him for about 4 weeks now, hes had all his jabs (he may have had them already but we dont know)but he has gone from 10.5kg to 16kg in a few weeks;. Hes doing really well, hes more or less stopped piddling all over my pink (yes pink.. not my chioce, they came with the house)carpets.. Well, thats a good excuse as any to rip them up and get some nice wood floors instead (although i think i might be pushing the overdraft with the �52 per sq metre Solid dark oak stuff at B&Q at the mo!) Anyway... this is the not so little new picture of Zakk:
