Rennie Mackintosh style floor tiles
This is my first ever set of floor tiles. This is a set of ceramic floor tiles inspired by the beautiful art nouveau designs of Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which I love. The rose features frequently in his work and I've used roses in 5 of the 6 tiles in this set.

Bannoch Village: Chloe Cottage
A very small cottage. Simple design but has some nice new wallcoverings. This might be the last in this series for a while. I have been working on some new designs for a possible new series of lots. The progress is going very slow since I am trying (*sighs*) to master some new skills and techniques which involve bridges. So please be patient. Chloe Cottage (named in honor of my new Papillon puppy. Chloe at 11 weeks is keeping me very busy, too! She's a little firecracker!)...
Problems with my Downloads Fixed
DUH! I bought a brand new computer (sigh happily) not long ago and installed all my sims2 game & packs on there. But stupid me forgot to install the patches from the official site (slap forehead. OW) Anyway, all is now fixed and there should be no more problems.Thanks
American Football Jerseys Set 5
I've been asked many times to make more American football jerseys and have finally given in and made a fifth set of four jerseys, all by request, for the following teams: Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins. My previous 19 jerseys can be found here: American Football Jerseys Superset.
As usual, these jerseys can be worn by adult and young adult males and use a standard Maxis mesh so they are base game compatible.

Hi everyone! It seems I am submitting a lot these days! I have two children sets coming up, "Plaid fun" and "Little Flowers", both for children. I also have a teen and an adult sets in the making. Also, I am beginning a new job monday, so I probably wont be updating as much from now :( Here is a preview of the two children sets :)

Well it has been a while since my first poll so I thought it was also time to update my blog! Sorry I do seem to be a very intermittent blogger, always with good intentions but ... Anyway, I have also come up with an idea to help me remember what I want to poll about. I have found I get an idea but am waiting for the current one to run its course and then realise I have forgotten what the idea was! So now I add the title with the general topic and hey presto! a reminder! So what else have I been up to? Texture Challenge, as the current poll indicates has been featuring highly in my TSR activities. If you really have never heard about it, or would like to go see...Objects Forum Texture Challenge I was also highly motivated by the Screenshot Competition and loaded up my game and happily played around for several hours to create my entry:

Getting Back to Normal...
Well, my downloads folder is starting to fill up again, thankfully, and my lots are looking a little bit more interesting since the submission of 2021 Ligoneer Dr and Morris Place. Thank you to all of the creators out there who help to make my lots so much better than Maxis content only!The results of the poll I recently had on my minisite only had 14 participants, but thank you to those 14 who chose to add their two-cents (even the one who said that he/she didn't like any of my lots) lol, but to make a long story short, the vote went to 10 Ocean View. So again, thank you to all who voted! I appreciate your enthusiasm!

Hi everyone!You'll never guess what I'm up to right now... Getting ready to buy a house in real-life! So, I apologize for being absent around here lately. Real estate is a lot more work in the real world than it is in The Sims. (Though I do find myself thinking of all the Sim ways I could spruce up these homes I've been looking at!)
Hopefully I'll be done soon, and then I can get back to Sims building!
July Flag Sets
I've been a bit quiet lately - enjoying my holiday. I will, however, try to get back to a more regular creation schedule and to begin with, I've done up the next two flag sets for this month.First up, new baby flags! I actually had a request for these waaaay back when I first released my garden flag mesh - apologies for it taking so long to get done. You'll find pairs of flags, one for boys and one for girls, some generic baby flags and after a lot of hunting, I also managed a twins flag (with Simlish text).
Then, celebrate your new arrival's growth with the second set, birthday flags! Unlike the party flags I released previously, these flags are specifically for birthdays, with a lot of cakes, candles and everything else a good birthday needs. And don't forget to include granny and grandad in the mix with the fun 'over the hill' flag, too! :P
Fine Portraits
I nice selection of multiple painting to cover that troubling, blank wall. Mesh is by justmoi at MTS2. I just love all her paintings! Now before someone (most likely an art historian), throws up a red flag about these portraits ...not all the paintings are by John Singleton Copley ... I think there are only 2 that cannot be attributed to this artist .... I just liked them and threw them in the batch. Hope someone out there can find a use for these! Here are a couple pix with paintings on different wallcoverings...
Sabbatical Over!
I'm baaaaack! lol I realized it's not much of a sabbatical if I'm still making things on my off-time. So I'm officially coming off of sabbatical to bring you some new stuff. I also want to thank everyone who's left me comments or taken the time to "Thank the Artist". It's what keeps me going and striving to release better and better things for you all!Today I will be uploading 5 new sets that I hope everyone will enjoy. More to come for sure!
Ps. I've recently been recoloring some sets from a few of the awesome artists out there on other sites. It would really mean a lot to me, if you like my recolors, if you'd stop by the creator's site (linked below all of my recolor sets) and thank them in their guest books. Summer Holiday - away until the end of July
We'll be on holiday from tomorrow (Saturday 14 July) until the end of the month. We're away in Cumbria again for a week, taking Lord Tiko with us for his first trip to the seaside this time!Then we're calling home to leave him (cat-sat by our son and his girlfriend) and to collect our 2 copies of Deathly Hallows via Amazon, then going away to a secret location!!! ;)
The Order of the Phoenix movie
We went to see The Order of the Phoenix movie at a preview showing yesterday, before the crowds starting arriving. We were thrilled and moved to tears by it.I'm not someone who found the book a mess, or bloated. Because I've experienced the utter crulety of people and organisations who smile and simper while they try to destroy you, I shared Harry's frustration, doubt and anger immediately, and read through the book a second time immediately. So I was thrilled and moved to see how superb an actor Daniel Radcliffe is becoming, and how movingly he conveyed all of this, and how tender his scenes with his godfather and real-life pal Gary Oldman were. Immelda Staunton also increased the visibility of Umbridge's inner darkness step by step, better than the book does.
David Yates and his crew have done a marvellous job of rendering the world a dark, fearful place, full of denial and lies. It was almost Matrix-dark! And we all knew many sub-plots would have to be jettisoned with the bigger books - the only one I really missed here was Jo Rowling's brilliant - nay, profound - exposition of prophecy and how it operates in human lives. This meant the final great scene between Harry and Dumbledore was slightly empty of its full meaning.
But in the absence of many sub-plots, we had a really tightly scripted, fast-paced and subtle drama, where CGI was so well rendered as not to be noticed (Grawp excepted, I suppose). The battles in the Ministry were sensationally well plotted and rendered. Because Yates has only directed TV film dramas before I had expected the CGI and action to be a bit tame - but not at all.
And praise, surely, for Michael Goldenberg's screenplay - re-writing many details and adding visual jokes all over the place that always made sense and simplified the many storylines without diminishing the overall arc of story, like Umbridge torturing many students, not just Harry, or Cho betraying the Army, unwillingly. Wasn't the white cat on the plate running to tell 'mummy' that Harry, Hermione and Ron were about to use her fireplace so brilliant? And without Peeves being mentioned in any of the films, George and Fred couldn't leave while shouting "Give her hell from us, Peeves!" ..... but their exit was still an explosion of joy and liberation.
Loved it.
Some Notes
I have discovered a mistake with the Groovy Stuff Set 2 Bed Mesh. Thus, I have submitted the update for it. The problem was that it could not be recolored, but I have worked out the bugs, so I can now resume work on the Groovy Stuff Set 3.Also, my first Sims 1 object set has been approved, and is to be published on the fourteenth.

Corpus Noor is almost ready!
Worked pretty hard last week. Hard enough to "finish" Corpus Noor. Even the site is quite updated. Just need to get the progress slideshows their last modifications, and voil�!So, MacGirlffx and I will be performing the ritual test run next weekend. In other words, Corpus Noor should be expected either at the end of the weekend if the testing reveals itself to be without trouble or next week.
I would dare say that if you are interested, you should be playing Corpus Noor, not this weekend, but next for sure!

Back to work
As of Thursday last week, I am officially back to work. My doctor declared me well enough to work again after more than 8 months on sick leave.For now I only work part-time and at home, and I found that since the baby is old enough to go to bed at regular hours now, I actually get to play the sims or create a little most nights, so you should still be seing new stuff from me two or three times a month in the future.
Actually I already have one new set ready for submission, but since that is part of a larger event you will have to wait until next week to see what it is ;) .
I also have several half-finished projects lying around but haven't decided which one to finish first. There is some bathroom stuff, an interesting-looking bedroom that unfortunately has tired me with some not-so-nice texture mapping for now (Maxis objects often aren't the most recolour-friendly), a couple of living rooms, and I am still toying with an idea for a kitchen I have had for a while.
Also I was very surprised on all the nice feedback I got for the Summer Garden Livingroom. I had started that set back when I finished the Safari Lounge and had put it on the shelf several times because it just didn't feel as "perfect" as I would liked to have it, so I finally pushed it out, not expecting people to take much notice of it. I guess I was dead wrong there ;) .

P.S.: Being "fit enough for work" didn't last all that long after all, I've been put back on sick leave yesterday, but only until the weekend and only because a regular bronchitis that my daughter gave to me. I'm afraid my immune system still isn't working very well, but that was only to be expected.

Malfunction
Just a rant here...my game crashed (I think there was an overload of downloads, I was up to over 18,000!) four days ago and I'm having to start over with everything. :( I couldn't get to the neighborhood screen when loading no matter what I tried. (yes, I tried removing all downloads to no avail) This is especially disappointing because I have only backed up my own creations for preview shots, etc. and I had downloaded and played 2 custom neighborhoods. :(Grrrr! If anyone's had to start over with their game, you know what I mean. It's incredibly disappointing. All the saved families, neighborhoods, lots, screen shots, stories/albums, mods... I just want to cry thinking about it!
So, it's back to square one, trying to re-download everything I once had and nabbing some newer things in the process. Which isn't all bad because there's been a ton of great stuff recently and I'm finding a lot of older stuff I hadn't seen before. Who knew there was so much??
I think I'm going to have to be pickier with future downloads and just take it easy. I've been a download freak in the past and I have to admit to going on a mad downloading spree immediately following re-installation. hehe
The plus side is I'm starting with a fresh pallet. I've had a lot of great friends recommend some fantastic creations and I'm getting a lot of sympathy for my game crashing woes.

I'd appreciate your recommendations too! Downloading some of your favorites should help take away my game crashing woes. Right now I'm looking for just about everything except lots. (I always save lots for last & I do love building!)
On a sidenote, just to let everyone know I've been on my creating sabbatical for about a week now and given the situation with my game, I'll definitely be taking the full 2 weeks. I have made a few sets out of general boredom (and there were some textures that were just too good to let go to waste!) so you'll see those very soon. :)

NAME CHANGE
You may have noticed that my name in your bookmarks and in the forum has been changed to cathee from cat3cm. It's still me, so don't get confused! lolCute Boots
This is the first set I've made for little girls in ages. There are some very nice Maxis meshes hiding away in Bodyshop waiting to be made over, and I was delighted to discover this little gem. The only problem was that it didn't have a bump map originally but I added one (see excellent tutorial by Morague at MTS2) which allowed me to create a textured sweater, lace, ribbed woollen tights and textured boots. The boots really are so cute! I didn't change the boots much from the Maxis originals, just fiddled with the colours a bit. The rest of the outfit I changed completely, borrowing the skirt, sweater and tights from previous recolours of mine. I had initially made all the outfits with bare legs and then wondered how the outfits would look with tights. I think both versions work. So now there are eight to choose from in total.
These are complete outfits and are for little girls. The mesh is a standard Maxis mesh and the outfits are base game compatible, requiring neither expansion packs nor mesh downloads.
Working on Chapter 15
Yes, I'm plugging away at chapter 15. It's a really difficult chapter because it explains everything about the Real Bella. I have to go back to previous chapters and make sure that everything matches up and makes sense. I'm sure I may have forgotten something. The story has evolved since I originally began. The goal was the same but the reasons and the road there definately changed. I just hope no one will be disapointed with my view of Bella and why she left Pleasantview.I have a cooking class tonight and my brother is in town for 10 days and I would like to see him before he goes back to the Marines. Also hoorah, I can't wait to see Harry Potter 5 movie and unfortunately I'll be away again next weekend celebrating my one year anniversary!
I promise I'll get chapter 15 done before my next vacation.
Long time gone
Well, I haven't created anything in about 18 months. It's a long story which is of no interest. However, this week I've begun to start on a living room set. I hope to have submitted it within the next few days. I hope you enjoy, as it's been awhile!Break...
I'm going to take a short break from submitting for a couple of weeks. I've spent most of my free time making recolors that I haven't played The Sims in almost 3 months. I moved everything to a computer with more space since my game has grown and it severly needs to be sorted and organized. When I get back I'll have tons of stuff to add and everything (for the most part) will be in sets since a lot of people prefer that.Hope you're having a great summer!

Yeah I decided to update it for once. The site design is now less angry and kinda matches my TSR page. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but I'm getting used to it. The "weather in my house" problem with boats!
I spent nearly 30 hours play-testing the two versions of the Marlin, and couldn't solve a slight "weather in my house" problem. It seemed that Sims thought the sloping curved bow area wasn't weather-tight! So I went ahead and published the boats yesterday anyway with a note.But this morning I went back and blitzed every test site as permanent winter. Guess what - it was the VaporWare Submergence Spa hot tub (the more expensive of the game's default tubs). Placed on the stage it creates a large hole. With the cheaper Bubble-Up Soaking Zone Hot Tub the boats should now be weather-proof!
I've changed the pics as well as the descriptions - and the Sims2Packs ..... well I think I have! ;)
POLL RESULTS
After a little less then a month the poll is over; I think I have a pretty good idea of the overall situation.The poll was asking which Expansion Packs people have.
140 people took part.
122 answered Seasons (87.2%), which is the most owned EP.
112 answered Open for Business (80%)
111 answered Nightlife (79.3%)
108 answered University (77%)
101 answered Pets (72%), which is the least popular EP
42 answered Base Game Only (30%)
The last number obviously cannot be true, since if 122 have Seasons and 43 have no EPs, we come up with a sum of 165, more than the participants. I think that some people have missed the word ONLY in the first option and have chosen Base Game, then ticking some expansion packs. If we presume that all those people only have Seasons, the new number for "Base Game Only" is 18 (12.8%), but it might be even smaller.
Anyway, this is what I learned from the poll.
1) Every time that I can, I will make my creations "base game compliant" (as I've done up to now) to let everybody access them, even those who have only the base game.
2) Don't make anything that requires Pets, which is the least owned EP; that's fairly easy, since I don't own that EP either, and I don't think I will buy it soon.
3) Get myself a copy of Seasons as soon as I can, so that when I cannot make something suitable for base game, at least the required EP is the one that will disappoint less people.
4) In all the other cases, I will use Open for Business and Nightlife as required EPs, since a good percentage of people have them.
