Me, Again, I'm Baaaaack!
Okay, I have semi-returned. Not recoloring as much. Not enough cool, dry days for breathing. Yes, I have AC, but my body chooses, at time, to ignore it, even though I crank it down to 65 degrees.Enough of that, Still taking requests. And throwing in other stuff as I do it, just not as much and as often at this time.
Thanks for all the support and sympathy expressed. It is appreciated.
Enjoy all the Sims2 recolors.
GEA Build Set Published
A build set consisting of recolourable modular stairs, staircase, column and railings will be published on Sunday the 1st July. Created to complement the recent doors and windows sets and the LEATHER Living set
Hair on my Models
I get a lot of comments on my creations asking where I got the hair on the models. Most of the hair that I use are recolors I have done on other meshes. So have a look through my stuff and you'll most probably find what you're looking for there.Cheers.

Helga86 Saga based on TC42
I was struggeling hard to get TC42 on the Helga set. I was fascinated by Poohbear's texture and Helga's set but they seemed not to match. Maybe somebody likes the compromise.
For the Boys!
Just completed uploading a set of mens hair retextures. These are a retexture of Raonjena's #7 mesh for men. I have always loved that mesh, but wanted to give it a more unkempt look with some realistic colors for your Sim guys. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks on some of my Rock and Rollers. Hopefully you will be too!People seem to respond more to some of these hair retextures that I have been doing, so I think I will do a couple more, and then get back to the clothes which I miss quite a bit. Feel free to let me know what kind of clothes you would like to see, or if there is a particular hair mesh you would like to see retextured for a new look.
Hope you are all enjoying the summer!
Challenges
I'm so busy playing the Challenges that there's no time to make anything new, it's really fun trying to do things you've never done before and playing in a totally different way.I was supposed to upload the next part of my superset this week but it's got delayed due to the challenges, but I'll try to finish it this weekMy Apologies...
First of all, thank you to the 2 people that let me know that my clothing files were not showing up in the game. That said, I have re-uploaded the correct files for the Ladies' Winter Jackets, Men's Long Sleeve T-Shirts, Ladies' Sporty Cashmere Sweaters, Ladies' Crop Pants, and the Ladies' Flip Tunics. If you wish, please redownload, and they will work in the game this time. I promise. Have an AMAZING day!Okay, so...
...I vastly underestimated the time it would take me to finish this door project. I'd planned to have the doors up by now, but I think I'll have to put it off up to another two weeks. I'm also thinking of breaking the set into two parts, with four doors in the first part and three in the second part.I'm starting a new job tomorrow (O_o) but I hope it won't take me much longer to finish this set.
Marine and Nautical Theme
Just in case you start wondering, I took a break from my modern series and started making lots for the upcoming Marine Theme Week. But don't worry, I will resume the series again after the theme week, which runs from Jul.2 to Jul. 9.Happy Simming!
Fossil
I am totally delighted at how people are assuming I'm 30!Giggling about that - and holding a lit match to the corner of my birth certificate...
Hoping to finish before I go away
Well I didn't get chapter 14 done like I thought. Instead I helped my husband with a small vegetable garden we planted. Work has been pretty busy and I've been late coming home so still no luck on getting chapter 14 done.I have a very busy next couple of days including painting the exterior of my house and then prepping for a 2-day drive down to South Carolina and back. My brother is graduating from the Marines bootcamp on the 6th of July and we are going to see him graduate. I am excited.
I will be leaving Tuesday night and won't be back til Saturday so I'm hoping to find some time to finish chapter 14 and then I can write chapter 15 and perhaps 16 in the car during the trip.
Trojan.Zlob and Smitfraud Virus
Oh, man! It's been a long couple of days! I've been working to remove a backdoor Trojan called Zlob which, apparently, is associated with the Smitfraud Virus that my poor computer contracted.Poor Herbert! Yes, my computer's name is Herbert...he runs better if you talk nice to him, so I named him. It just made sense.
Anyways, back on topic...I believe I have eradicated the virus. This particular pair are particularly tricky. They tell you via a pop-up from the SysTray that your computer is infected with MalWare and point you to a website where you can download some Anti-Spyware software. This anti-spyware program is actually Rogue Spyware. The pop-up is official-looking. Fortunately, I was never inclined to click on the pop-up bubble "to get more information" and only read about that online while researching how to get rid of it.
Once the Trojan was removed, a different message appeared telling my that NetWorm-i.virus@fp had been detected. Further research pointed me to a SmitfraudFix program.
It seems to be okay now. I did lose a few files to corruption while my PC was infected, but other than that, this was a fairly benign virus.
If this problem ever happens to you, I'm more than happy to share my research finds. I bookmarked the good stuff.

It seems that most people like polls about anything as long as they are constantly changing and they like them to change about once a week. The last question was just out of sheer curiosity...
What I'll do is change my poll on Wednesdays (to coincide with the Texture Challenge).
The new poll is about the Texture Challenge. I'm trying to get a feel for how many people actually know what it is and download our creations.
What Next?
Well, now that the Loft Entrance Sets have been finished and approved (to be published July 2), what will I be working on next?To start, I have created all the files for the Open for Business Set 8. I think this may be my last Open for Business Set, and it's also a huge set with over twenty objects!
After that... I plan on creating a couple of summer themed house sets.
And, I will be creating a new mesh set based on Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda featuring objects such as the Triforce and Mario's pipe for example. I think that should be an interesting set.
And, when all of this is done, I will be making the Groovy Stuff Set 2. It's been in the works for awhile now, but it WILL be coming soon!
That's about it for now.
Happy simming!

Bella Fiori
I recently installed the Celebration! Stuff pack - a very appropriate wedding present from my new husband! This pack includes some gorgeous meshes which I couldn't wait to have a go at re-colouring. So here is my first set: six extremely feminine strapless summer dresses with an unusual wide elasticated floral waistband and layered chiffon skirt. The matching sandals are very cute.
The neckline and shoes are meshed on, so there is limited scope for changing the shape of the dress and I was disappointed to discover that the mesh doesn't have a bumpmap (I may remedy this at some point). I've lost my bumpmaps anyway, since installing Celebration! Stuff, which is frustrating. Any suggestions regarding how to fix this, please let me know.
These dresses are categorised under everyday wear and can be worn by adults and young adults. The required mesh comes with Celebration! Stuff, so you must have this pack installed for the dresses to show up in your game.
Neighborhood
I've been asked to make some neighborhood decorations. Well, I was quite scared at first because 'hood objects are different from objects for lots and I had very little experience in making them. Anyway, I spent a few days looking for material on the net and gathering some ideas and this is what I put together up to now. I've made a set of ancient buildings and artifacts, from Egypt and Easter Island, which will be ready and published in a couple of days, and another one (or two) will probably follow. I've seen the pyramids and the sphinx on MTS2, but I thought I could make a different version anyway. Never seen the Moai statues anywhere else instead.
Next ancient buildings will probably be from Rome or Athens, it depends on which of them will give me less trouble :) The Colosseum doesn't want to get textured at the moment.
I'm working on more "everyday" neighborhood buildings too, but those are in a very early developing stage at the moment and I don't even know what the finished set will look like.
I'm back
Hi all,I just got back from three lovely weeks on the seashore. Things went pretty well considering I went alone with a 4-year-old who likes to have at least one extended public tantrum a day and a 1-year-old who decided to have a total of 5 new teeth (three molar, two cuspid) in the last week alone *lol*.
I guess I'll need a few days to settle back in at home, tackle unpacking (and doing laundry *sigh*), and get some sleep, but I've already got quite a few ideas for new Sims stuff I'd like to make, and I'm really looking forward to that. Hopefully I'll find the time for it soon.
Thank you so much to everyone who commented on my stuff and blog and who signed my guestbook. I'll try to get back to all of you but it may take a while. When I logged in today I found the amazing total of 288 new comments on my creations alone, which really amazed me. Until now I don't think I ever found more than 10 or so at once ;-).
Oh well, I'm off to bed. Have a nice day everybody!
New Series on its way
Summer is a crazy time for me and so much is happening in my life right now, it's unbelievable. So the submissions have slowed down a little. But here's the beginning of what I hope will be several series.I love color. I love to play with it, mix it, change it, anything and everything. For me color conveys feelings and can make or break any living space.
The new series..."Just Color"...will focus on putting together different colors without the use of patterns. I'm going to start with walls and floors, then include curtains and wall hangings; furniture for living room, dining room, bedroom; then counters for baths and kitchens; then lamps, rugs, and anything else I can come up with! You can then mix and match to your heart's content! You can go monochrome for a classy look, or mix them up. Colors will be grouped so that items in any group will go together.
The first Just Color set will combine muted browns with blues and pink. Hopefully it will go up on Thursday or Friday.
Thanks!!!!
Harry Potter Collection - 4 Privet Drive
What would a Harry Potter lot collection be without the muggle home that Harry grew up in? 4 Privet Drive is home to Harry's Muggle relatives the Dursley family. Aunt Petunia is Harry's mother's sister and along with her husband, Vernon, and son, Dudley, they live in fear of anyone finding out about Harry's magical abilities. I hope you enjoy this latest addition to the collection, and since all the houses in Privet drive look the same you can even use it to create an entire muggle street.
Happy Simming :)
Strawbz
And now, senility!
Yes, senile.Well, that's what you'll no doubt think. Like all 'cyclonesue stupid tales' this one is so very true - I only wish it wasn't!
Today, I
Having thanked my mother for her card, she then asked me: "So, what are you doing tomorrow? Anything special?"
Tomorrow? Odd thing to ask. Here I am performing my it's-my-birthday duty call with my mother, and she asks me if I'm doing anything tomorrow! Answer: "Um - no. Going to get a puppy fitted with a
"Well, shall I call you tomorrow?" she then asked.
Understand here that me and my mother converse about once a month - if that, so why did she want to call tomorrow? We are talking TODAY but she wants to call tomorrow too for some inexplicable reason. "Well, if you'd LIKE to call me, then sure - it's always nice to chat," I bumbled awkwardly, "but you've had the birthday-call and all that now - no need to feel obliged to call tomorrow too..."
"But it's not your birthday today," said my mother.
That did it. My mother has hit THAT age, obviously. Of COURSE it's my birthday (with a zero in it). How could she not know this?! I know she was actually THERE on the day I was born, so I reckoned she must be going a bit senile or something and had got her dates muddled.
"My birthday IS today," I said, keeping my voice calm lest my mother needed to placed in a care home or something; no point in stressing her if I was about to break this solemn news to her. "27th June - my birthday! And now I'm about to get my birthday-meal!"
At this point, my not-at-all-senile mother burst out laughing!
I waited for something like ten minutes before she'd apparently picked herself up off the ground and dusted herself off. But I could tell she hadn't done laughing yet. "Today is the 26th!!!" she blurted before collapsing into more hoots of laughter. "Your birthday is tomorrow - check your calendar!!!"
And so, there you have it. My birthday is NOT today. I am spared the zero for another day. Meanwhile, my partner (who, I hasten to add, also failed to notice I'd named the wrong day) has spent much of the evening laughing (at my expense), no doubt looking up care homes for senile partners who don't even know when their birthday is!
Medieval Fairytale Wall Set
I used some of these walls in Boothby Cottage. I decided to rework the images a bit and added one new wall ... so if you want a complete 'matching' set of walls, you will need to download this batch. Boothby Cottage's wall are a bit different and will not match this set. Sorry, I didn't think ahead, but just on a whim decided to make a special set. Bad girl!
I know the 'towers' appear to slant a bit ... but they really don't in the game. The angle lens of the camera has distorted the perspective a bit. Bad camera!
Big Holiday
Just wanted to let you all know that I'll be away for a couple of weeks. We are going on vacation to Czech Republic. We are planning to make a castle trip. About 10 castle we are planning to visit. And offcourse other nice things. Caves and we are going for a hike of 13 miles. So to all of you, I'll hope you have a nice vacation and see you again at the end of july.Love Mutske / Anja
Bannoch Village: Boothby Cottage
This cottage will hold a larger family. Two of the rooms I have left unfurnished for your individual needs. Maybe you'll need a nursery or a game room? Backyard is large and only has a couple of trees, so there is pleanty of room to add a greenhouse, pool or pond. A few pix for you!
June 28th, OUAT Little Princess Extras
Scheduled for publication on June 28th is the Once Upon A Time "Little Princess" Extras, which is a set recolor. The recolor features shades of pink and lavender.Downtime Ended
I've received some kind messages asking about me during my prolonged absence from TSR. Thank you.
Well, I eventually moved house - twice - (its a long story!) and I now live in wet and windy Wales. I have also finally rebuilt, upgraded, and re-installed my main computer. Since then I've been ill for quite some time, but I now really do expect to be back and contributing very soon, and the first step was to purchase and create this new mini-site.
Now, what colour to choose - Blue: its too much like the rest of the site, Pink: not really me, Grey: a bit drab maybe, but it sets everything else off nicely - Grey it is. Now what else is there to play with here ...
Skull Guitar
Coming on 6-25, I will have up my first new instrument mesh. I call it the Skull Guitar.Trust me it wasn't as easy as I thought! But thankfully there are a lot of people out there who know what they are doing as don't mind helping.
But before I get into that, there is something about the guitar I want to make sure you all know. You need to down a hack from MTS2 and put it in your download folder under The Sims2 directory to make it work. You can find the hack here:
Custom Instrument Hack V 4.0
Now on to the thanks you's. First off I want to thank Paleoanth. When I told her about my idea, I asked since she did a skeleton if she had a skull mesh. She sent it to me right away. I owe you big time!
I also want to thank Two folks over at MTS2. Echo and atavera. Echo helped me figure out what to do to bring the guitar to life, and atavera made the Hack and a tutorial on how to do cutom instruments.
Sure made my life easy!
And finally I want to thank Cyclone Sue, AnoeskaB and Birgit43. For willing to answer my PMs and try to help out the best they could. You all ROCK!!!!
I hope you all enjoy my guitar. I know I think it's cool!
SAD News
I'm sorry to announce that I no longer have time to make new stuff and I don't know if in the future I'll be able to get back to making Sims 2 creations . But I will still be a active member of this community and visit this site almost everyday . I want to say thank you to all the people who appreciate my work and leaved me all the nice comments and messages .
More Sintesi colours
The two other recolours of the Sintesi living room, matching the bedroom, have just been published. I think it was about time, since pink and blue aren't the most suitable colours for a living room.I know nobody will care, but I'm going to tell you why I called those sets Sintesi. This is the italian word for the english "synthesis" (quite similar) and I thought that those items were the perfect (?!?) synthesis between different materials that blend together, in most cases two different woods, and in some items wood and glass.
Someone asked me to make more Sintesi items, but I don't know yet if I will add more rooms or other recolours. Maybe a matching study or dining room can be done, but that kind of curved surfaces don't work well on every piece of furniture.
Let me know what you would like to see and I'll try to make it.
A Little Bummed/Creative Block
Well, I finally had to do it....I had to get rid of one of my expansion packs to make room on my computer, not to mention, getting rid of a very annoying bug with buying clothes on community lots (which I couldn't do). Plus I deleted all of my downloads and am starting entirely over again downloading things from TSR. And I have to say, that I'm being very picky now when it comes to downloading. I still don't have some of the things showing up in my game that I have downloaded, like windows and doors and some other things, so my lots are going to be a little blah for a few submissions, but I hope to be back up to speed in a few weeks. With the onset of having to get rid of my downloads, it makes it really difficult for me to create lots of the kind that I previously was submitting, but I hope in the coming weeks that they'll be as impressive and creative as before!NOT old!
I have a birthday imminently. It has a zero in it. I am NOT pleased about that!
And yes, just ONE zero in it, thank you!
Awesome Lots!!
As you can see from my "About Me" section, I like to promote others' art. As an English major, this has typically been the wonderful stories from some really good storytellers here at TSR. I'm not above pimping my friends when they make great creations and Quengel is no exception. She works hard on her houses and is one of the few to take special care that she only uses *free* custom content in her lots so that everyone can enjoy them! Her lots are unique and excellently designed.
If you're reading this and you have a minute, why not stop by Quengel's page? I know she would really appreciate your comments and support. She's one of the sweetest people I know too, so you're sure to hear back from her.
June 25th, OUAT Nursery Extras
The OUAT Nursery Extras collection is scheduled for publication on June 25th. The collection includes a toy train, toddler's table and chairs set, 2-tile curtains, dresser, desk, desk chair, bookcase, and toy chest. The toddler sized toy train and table set (2-tile objects) are cloned from Maxis' potty chair. The bladder motive was removed, while fun and energy levels were increased for both objects. The OUAT Nursery Extras are a collection of furnishing that will grow with your child. I hope you enjoy the set! Happy Simming!
All Hail the Superman!
Yesterday I went to Six Flags New England and went on one of the best rollercoasters ever, the Superman! Here's a pic:
I love rollercoasters and I had come to the point where they made me laugh. But this one made me scream. The first drop was about 220 ft. It was so much fun, it was worth the hour plus wait in line. I also went on the Batman which was fun and I laughed along the whole time. Now New England also has the Cyclone, named after the one at Coney Island but I don't know if it's the same model. It's an old wooden coaster and my friend and I thought, "Oh, this will be a breeze," as we watched the wooden structure wave and buckle under the weight of the train. Well, for an old coaster with shorter drops, it still made me scream. The drops were fast and steep and banged you around. It was awesome.
Oh, on my 2 hour drive down to Siz Flags, I thought out Chapter 14. I already knew of 2 of the surprises, one of them I've been building up to since Chapter 7. It is the ultimate twist of the story. The other is an added surpirse that will help lead into that ultimate surprise. I'm excited. I pretty much have it written out so I'm hoping to play it out today and have it uploaded tonight!
I'm baaaaack!!!
Whew! I'm back from vacation. I had a wonderful time in Las Vegas, lots of sightseeing, people watching, shopping and a little bit of gambling. It's great to be back and now I have time for the important things in life, Simming!!! LOL!
I hope to release a new set soon. Take Care, Carolyn

New Creations!! - finally...
Hello!I'm finally home and happy to be. Haha!! When I got home tonight, I finished a floor tile set I had started before leaving for Alabama one week ago. It's called Mohawk Ceramics and is currently in pending. Watch my minisite homepage for more details on it be published. :)
I will be creating quite a few more floor tile sets, as well as single homecrafter items, and maybe even a few recolor sets, if I get around to it.
Again, as always, I'd like to thank anyone and everyone who supports my minisite and my creations. It really does mean a lot to me!
Thank you and take care,
Benny Boy
Missing! Entire Gothic Set!
I know - vanished in a puff of smoke! Gothic Windows all gone!Due to a server problem, we had to withdraw it. I've now fixed the problem and the set will be back up again by 7am GMT tomorrow (26th June).
My apologies in the meantime!
Missing Door? Get it here!
My Gothic Windows set has been released, but for some reason, if you download the set, the door mesh is being dropped. Sure, you get the diagonal, the recolours and both arch meshes, but none of these will work without the missing door.
Missing door!
I HAVE reported it, but in the meantime, you'll need to download the door manually from this link: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/sims2/objects/buildmode/windows/518173/.
For once, this is not a goof of my making, so I'm feeling hugely superior about it!
