Potter's Reclaimed Doors
Okay, they are not pretty ... but I do enjoy using them in my game for my 'trashed and crumbling' neighborhood lots. So, I thought I would share them. Please note that if you have downloaded my Hallowdene Cottage .... the door that comes with it is NOT the way I had it planned. Pictured below is the door that actually goes with that cottage. That stinky Maxis recoloring problem raised its' head (*curses and spits 3x's*) and I had to upload Hallowdene with the Door of a Distant Land (or whatever it is called) in place of the one I had recolored. But now ... you can have the 'original' Hallowdene door ...yes, it is true! Hopefully, my Potter's Reclaimed Doors will be approved ... you can have it for your very own ...LOL!

What the.....?

Right now I am working on a request for a recolour of Cashcraft's Beautiful Victorian Bathroom. I decided to recolour both her Victorian Addon sets for those who would like the decor items to go with it.I have nearly finished,just got to get those snapshots prepared. Lol and their certainly is quite a few items in total. Here's a small preview.
Just Some News...
I have finally submitted the Cr�me Living Room Set, finally.Also, I hope this weekend to submit the TS1 for TS2 set! I know that I have been mentioning it a lot lately, but I want that to be my next set after the Cr�me Living Room Set.
Following that set, I plan on releasing Seasons Sets 3 and 4, followed by the Sapphire Living Room Set and Emerald Living Room Set.

New sets coming
Coming out tomorrow will be the first part of a 3 part set that I've been working on. This is a decorating set that will include a variety of walls, several carpets, tile floors, two sets of curtains, and a rug. Hopefully, you'll be able to decorate several rooms in your house with this "theme" and all of the rooms don't have to look exactly the same. If you like this approach, let me know!! I think I might be sticking with walls and floors and simpler objects for a while. I'm a single working mom and I just don't have the time to sit down a learn how to recolor furniture and have it come out the way I want. I'd rather do it very well or not at all. I'm also going to try to add some paintings to my sets and also add some bathroom decor items to coordinate with the sets. If you know of other things I should add, please let me know!!! I think enough people have voted ( 114! :o ) in the poll to declare the winners. The clear winner was the Aaron collection. I've already started working on that set, and it's coming along nicely. :)The rest of the top five included the Anna collection, the Q-Bik collectiong, the Polaris collection, and the Pablo collection. I've finished up a few of the meshes of a few of the different sets for those.
For next month, I'll be finishing up the Sterling collection, and the Metro collection. They'll be available for upload in the first two weeks of the month. I hope to have the Aaron and the Anna collections ready by the last two weeks of the month. Then I'll work on the rest of the top set picks to either put up between other sets, or to come out in May.
I put up a new pole to keep me headed in the right direction after I've had my fill of doing bedrooms (unless more bedrooms wins the poll!).
I'll post some previews in a few days of what I've got done. :)
Another Milestone!
Wow. 2 million downloads. When I started doing this last May, I would have never believed it. I want to thank everyone for downloading, commenting and thanking. And also answering my polls. It really helps when I have a clue what you want.There have also been a few people who have made requests and it seems like the requested items have always done well. So if you have an idea, let me know! It may take a while to make its way through the queue, but it'll get there.
So what have I been doing lately? Well, I finished the add-on packs for the Turano Dining Room. And I did a recolor of the beautiful Salsa bedroom. Those have been uploaded and are making there way through. There are about 4 more living rooms I've been working on that are almost ready to go. Actually, that's not quite right. 3 of them are what I called MultiSets. They have a living room, bedroom, dining table and study things. They are based on rather old meshes that didn't have such great mapping, but I think you'll like them. I made some extra cushions for the living room furniture so you could have some variety.
I've been trying to learn more about meshing in my spare time, but I've not had enough of it to make a dent.

Problem with Sebring set fixed
I don't know what was wrong, but there was a problem with the Sebring Collection. Very few people could download it. I had Per take a look at it, and it's fixed now.Second Life
Hi All!This week I joined second life, an online sim like game. I won't link as the there are two versions, teen and adult and the adult version is not pg13.
I'm still absorbing my experiences of SL and they are not all positive by any means.
The best thing so far is the ability to meet up with online friends for virtual social events, and encountering the work of the best model makers within the SL community.
Many of my friends have had graphics card issues, and although membership is free there are endless oportunities to spend real money in enhancing your avatar...and there is an obvious visual difference between the free content and that which is paid for and this does create some pressure to cough up the readies.
You can earn money within SL, but this isn't an easy task and it would take a good deal of time and effort.
There are also freebies available..it depends how much time you are willing to invest.
Some people get a great deal out of the experience, but these are usually those who are willing to put in the effort to learn the system and spend several hours a day in SL.
As in any online community there are those whose task in life is simply to cause grief to others, but most people I have met so far have been friendly, open and nice.
March 28th, Lady Roslyn's Collection File
A collection folder for Lady Roslyn's Victorian Suite is schedule for publication on March 28th. In addition, I plan to publish collection folders for some of my previously released Victorian sets. As always, thank-you for all your wonderful comments and your support.

Whilst writing, if you haven't voted on my poll as yet, please do so as it's interesting to see how the votes are going. As you probably know, there is a bit of a debate going on at the moment as to whether we should be paying for virtual clothing for a computer game. My opinion is that Maxis gave us the tools for fun, not profit. Furthermore, what about the people who cannot afford to buy these items or even those who are not old enough to have a credit card. My question is therefore: Is it justified?

Here comes the stork!
Hello! I have just found out that I am expecting my second little buba! Im about 6-7 weeks gone acording to my calculations and I've got my first visit with the midwife in a couple of days so wish me luck! Its all very exciting... and totally unexpected! I love children though and my son (even though hes 2) is a wonderful little boy and very well behaved, so I am over the moon! Hopefully I'll have another nice layed back child! lol Well... HOPEFULLY :DSo thank you to that lovely stork who visited me in the night a few months back!

Almost Done!
Well I am almost finished with the semester. I will graduate in May and hope to be creating soon after. I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments left on my creations. I, unfortunately, don't have time to thank each and everyone of you like you deserve. I hope to be back soon.Rachel
New dorms submitted...
As promised, the dorm I was working on has been completed, play-tested and submitted. You can hopefully download it in a few days.I had to make a u-turn on one of the features (plantable plots on the upper floor greenhouse) as although the sims were able to use them, there was a graphical glitch. The plots, when planted, suddenly jumped into mid-air! So that greenhouse is now filled with orchard trees (which work fine) and a second greenhouse was added outside for plots.
The style also changed quite drastically from the picture I originally posted. Here's a sneak preview:
As you can see, the base structure is still there, but it's a lot more complex and the aesthetics have changed. I thought it looked too like my Greenhouse Cottage before.
The lot also features a fishable pond. Now your student sims won't have to eat mac and cheese or pancakes all day every day. :D
Bear in mind that if you want your sims to pursue their gardening hobby while attending college, it isn't gonna be easy. But it could certainly be an interesting challenge.
This one did take me a bit more time than usual, I think my brain is still a bit fuzzy, heheh. But I do hope you find it reaches my usual standard and enjoy playing it. Please do leave feedback if you download it. ;)

Back to work..
The SimPE site is still going on/off for me, but I managed to re-download it and it seems to be working again. So I'm back to work on my current set!

Asian Straw Walls set
I've also just set up a full set of 11 wall panels in the style of traditional Asian mud-and-straw plaster or stucco. These will publish on Tuesday. I hope it helps to have them properly organised at last! They work in a gradient over 4 building levels, and the higher levels have a choice of 3 panels each - to mix and shuffle and convey the raw, bumpy rustic qualities of the plaster with the straw showing through. The bright red is typical - China gave other Asian cultures its symbolic primary colours.

Away from TSR this month
Although I've been able to complete and post up 2 of the 3 tutorials on Japanese / Chinese roofs as promised (+ the houses you'd get with them!), I haven't had time for much else.
I've been doing a one-off project for my wife's Autism charity, which we finished on Friday last. So I should be back chatting more from tomorrow - Monday! ;)

Here is a pic of not one, but two upcoming projects! "Pasquale" teadresses, and an elegant hairstyle I am calling "Gracia". The hair will be out on Wednesday, and the teadresses, will probably be out within the first few days of April, just in time for the gorgeous springtime weather!

Late last night, I started a poll asking which parrot recolour I should do next. For those that are wondering, the parrot comes with the Pets EP and I have made a few recolours of it already.Anway, the poll has already had a few votes, which is fantastic, but I thought I'd pop an entry in here too with a few pics of the birds on offer:
Due to the limitations of the Maxis mesh and the fact that I am no mesher myself, please note that if the Palm Cockatoo wins, it will not have the magnificent beak. I do aim to give it the trademark crest and colouring though.
You'll also probably notice I haven't given the option for which species of Eclectus or Caique in the poll - if you have a favourite, please let me know either by commenting here, sending me a PM, or posting in my guestbook. :)
I'll leave the poll up for a week or so. But if your favourite doesn't win, worry not for I shall probably make it at some point anyway. :D

Barbie world?
If you are reading this blog, there is a chance you many not frequent the forums, but I have a thread there in the FA section called "Xandhers Xanadu". It is sort of a companion to my blog entries, where I will be updating with new information about upcoming sets, and hopefully hearing feedback about some of those sets from you lovely folks.(a luxury we are obviously without in this venue)Since there are so many people who tend to prefer to stay out of the forums, I thought I would let everyone know, in case you wanted to spill your proverbial beans.
On another note, I have went and "barbie-ised" my whole skintone collection. The higher ups really want to keep this a family friendly place, and so in the interest of retaining the values of this site, I agreed to modify the sets - With one condition - that the original anatomically correct skins would be available to everone as well, in the near future. The HU's thought that was a good idea, as well, So we are trying to come up with a solution to make that happen right here at TSR. One way or another, those of you who were really hoping for those AC skins will have access to them soon. And I can't tell you how pleased I am about that. :)
Bad SimPE!
Sorry for being kind of quiet lately! I started to get a little into body shop meshing, and have been fooling around with hair... but I do have a new bedroom mesh set done. Unfortunately I think one of my file scanners picked up something from SimPE's program files, thinking it was corrupted, and deleted it. So I get all kinds of errors when I try to do anything in SimPE. Until the SimPE site comes back up and I can redownload it, or until I find the installer file still on my PC, I don't think I will be able to get anything into the game. I am still making new meshes though!Astrology Fantasy!
I'm still hooked on the Fantasy Theme! I just had to make a set of Fantasy Fairies that each represent a different Astroloy sign. I've been putting them in my Simmies homes so they know what sign they are, LOL! Hope you enjoy them! ~ Sue :)Instructions on how to extend the Storybook Starters

You voted and I built it...I have been working on a modern house - I'm not much of a modern builder, so I hope you like it! Its on a small lot, but packs alot: 3 bdrms, large main floor principal rooms, roof terraces, games room and pool. Its inspired by some of the beach houses in L.A. California. Hallowdene Cottage
I decided to give this one a try again here at TSR. Had some trouble uploading it to the site. Please note that 2 meshes are required, Targa's LadderStairs and tigdad's Small Dbl. Window. Both items are over at MTS2. I used the moveobjects on cheat to place the stairs.

Well, I have finally gotten myself a minisite. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my creations 'cuz I have a lot of fun making them. I'm working on a decor set right now and am trying my hand at recoloring objects for the first time. So far so good! I May Be Taking A Break
First of all Seasons sucked the life out of my computer so...I need to make some changes. I don't know when or how long this will take. I need to increase my power supply, get a better graphics card and more RAM. I've been talking to some knowledgeable people here in the Sims community who are very helpful since I know absolutely nothing, and my husbands answer is to just call Dell, but I don't trust calling Dell until I know more techie stuff. Lol. Now he is wanting to know what my techie friends are suggesting.Secondly I am having my kitchen torn out and a new one put in and I was so hoping that I could hide away at my computer while this was going on, but my game just lags and I have to have the graphics set very low or I am in deep doodoo with my game.
So kids if I submit anything it may not be for awhile.

I was surprised at how many of you actually liked the dark red colors for hair and I always wondered which color everyone prefered because I've seen threads on the forums about certain shades of red hair colors. Just so you know, just because the orange colors beat the red by a few points doesn't mean I'm only going to do orange colors for now on (lol). I started the poll because I was curious, that's all. I'll still submit both colors. That way everyone's happy!(smile) Thanks again and you'll be seeing some more colors from me soon! queenie

Well I did a little more with the house today the family room and Study are now furnished & decorated
I also put a pond and fruit trees in the grounds

Spring Collection 2007
Spring is in the air, and, just in time, here is a complete new Spring wardrobe for your female Sims in pretty Spring colours. There are four tops: two re-colours of my Valentine tops with 3/4 length lace sleeves and lace heart inset, one re-colour of my cropped cardi over a cotton top and one re-colour of my 3/4 sleeve cotton top with daisy appliqu�. To match, there are two pairs of jeans with floral embroidery, one short floral skirt and one long floral skirt with belt and mules.
All eight items are available for adults and young adults. The long skirt requires University and the cropped cardi requires Nightlife; the remaining six items use standard Maxis meshes.
