Update

I'm currently working on a set of swimsuits by Roxy and various other brands. Just in time for Spring Break! In addition I've just found some meshes that I really like and hopefully will come out with some recolor sets soon.

Serasims has Closed

I just found out that Serasims's site has closed down. I feel terrible about this because I've got several outfits available for download that require the meshes from there. I know there are lots of other artists who also use her meshes, so it's going to cause some problems for awhile. I did read a rumor that she may be uploading her meshes to MTS2. If she does that, they will still be free for anyone to download. In the meantime, the only thing I know to do, is to tell you all who have downloaded my outfits, to send me a private message with your email address and I will try to get the mesh you need sent to you as soon as possible.

After that, I suppose I won't be using Serasims meshes anymore unless she uploads them all again to MTS2 because it's really against the rules to send out meshes that are not your own. But in this case, I feel like I need to take care of MY downloaders who have gone to the trouble of downloading my creations that were based on meshes by Serasims.

I am really sorry about all of this and I wish it hadn't happened. But unfortunately, it's out of my control.

Serasims Site is Down...

I've received numerous comments that the Serasims site is not working and people can't get the meshes needed to allow my outfits to work. I am really sorry about this, but I have no control over that site. I don't know what's going on....maybe she is upgrading the site or moving to a different server. If you downloaded something of mine that requires a Serasims mesh, please send me a private message with your email address, and I will try to get the mesh to you.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Important Notice

If you have downloaded my TS2 Maxis Match set, then this is especially important for you to know. I will be updating the Candy Coated Sofa Chair Match so that it is a "slave object" in that it will borrow it's texture for the original.

However, this will not be released until I release my next set, the Onyx Living Room Set because I will be uploading a recolor of the sofa, and to make it less files for you to download, it will only take one file to recolor all three objects.

Second tutorial house - Takashi

And as with Akira, on your left here, I've also made up the house you'd get with my Complex Japanese Roofs tutorial. Takashi means 'eminence' (Akira means 'brightness'), and this is a very stately home with a larger upper level and 2-carport, pool and tub all fitted. Also a very peaceful Japanese garden at the front - the environment ratings when Sims leave the house for work are very high!

It Works!

At least it seems to. The Red Bathroom set is out. I downloaded the set and everything was there. When you go to an item in the set and then click on See complete Set, it takes you back to the original set it came from, so you have to use your back button, but I don't think that is a very big deal and it's probably desireable in the long run. So unless someone writes me that something is wrong, I'll be releasing the other 19 similar ones shortly. So if you only have one or two colors you like and don't want to clutter up your bathroom items with 20 of each, you can finally have what you want!
This makes me happy. Hope it works for you!

I've just about finished work on a couple of new living rooms to upload that I think you'll like. I'm also working on some rugs that are very artistist drawings of cats and dogs, dogs mostly. Lots more coming! Enjoy!

Tsarina

This is a set of 18th century formal silk gowns � la Fran�aise in six shades.

Each gown has a full ruffled skirt shaped by panniers, a boned bodice adorned with ribbons with a corset-style lace-up back, & ruffled lace sleeves. Worn with a jewelled ribbon choker.



These gowns complement my Masquerade Ball Gowns and Masquerade Ball Masks sets. The gowns are available for adults and young adults and, like my Masquerade Ball Gowns set, require Besen's gorgeous Rococo mesh from Besen's Sims2 Page - download any of the five beautiful gowns at the bottom of this page and the mesh is included.

Binning Older Hair Colors

Right now I'm binning my older hair colors. I was able to resubmit the hairs binned without a problem. If you download the hairs indvidually, they're okay. The problem is if you try to download them as a set, it will have the new files I submitted and the old ones, which will make the zip package bigger. I'm trying to get this taken care of, so I'll let you know something soon. If you would like to redownload the binned files, I would suggest you download them individually to avoid being confused with the older files. I'm so sorry about the inconvenience.

I really appreciate all the input on my poll!!! I like the interaction/feedback...This gives me the chance to build new lots that people actually want! I'm playing around with some new ideas for modern houses - modern is really not my style, but I love a challenge!...I'll keep you posted.

Mark Your Calendar

As expected (and forewarned), I have been pretty engrossed in the new Seasons EP, which has lead to my playing the game more than creating lately and I must say, I'm loving this expansion!

However, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is suprised to discover that despite an entire expansion pack on seasons and the changing year, there is not one single calendar object in the game. So, this week I give you the Seasons of Change Wall Calendar. :)

This set comes with the base mesh (January), plus 11 recolours to cover the remaining months for a full year's worth of calendar-goodness. Each calendar page features an official in-game screenshot, most of which are from Seasons but there are also a few from earlier EPs and stuff packs and even one from the up-coming Celebrations stuff pack. The calendars are also printed in 100% Simlish.

And lastly, you'll notice that I've taken the liberty of circling some dates for your Sims. One date in particular is something of an 'Easter Egg' from me - can you guess what it might be? :D

My First Bedroom Set

While waiting for responses to my poll, I've decided to start work on my first bedroom set. Actually, I've been working on it for a few days now. The last piece that needs to be completed is the dresser. Of course, that gives all new creators some problems, and I'm no different. I'm going through a few tutorials today, and hopefully, they will solve all of my problems. I hope to upload the set tonight or tomorrow morning. Look for screenshots later this weekend.

The log became a blanket insted! I better learn not to post to quick, I never know the final result!
I thought it was so cute when the little toddler sat there with an imaginary toy, so I made it this way instead.
I am working on more recoulours to fit in the medieval world.

Eden Village - Country House

A quick update to show you what I'm working on at the moment. I've thoroughly enjoyed playing with this house and I've seen it thorugh Autumn, Winter and Spring so far. It's a large country home, with an orchard, greenhouse, lake and pool. It also has a small outbuilding that can be used either as a grandparents' cottage or as a shop (or anything else you can think of!). Here's a few pics I took in Winter:

I'm hoping this will be on the site within the next week. It's built on a 4x4 lot, so I may release it furnished AND unfurnished (for those with slower computers). We'll see :-)

Poll Results

Thanks to Everyone who participated in my Poll for preferred female clothing. The clear winners were Pants Outfits followed closely by Dresses so Lookout for a whole heap of new downloads that I'll be working on soon!

Second Thoughts

After talking to some people, I'm not quite sure if these bathroom sets will work the way I want them to or not, so I'm just releasing one as a test, so if something doesn't work right, I won't have so much to go back and fix. If it works out okay, I'll release the rest. I chose red because it seems to be one of the less popular colors for a bathroom. So I'll see what happens and let you know!

The poll seems to say you want lots of rooms and rugs and not too many paintings and walls. Sorry there are a bunch of those in the queue already, but I'm working on some room sets for you and will continue to release the rug sets I already have uploaded as well as develop some new ones.

I am warming to the concept of rooms. I like to take an idea and watch it grow. I'm having fun! Hope you are, too!

Answering the questions you never asked

Why a minisite?...why not? Where are the downloads?...What, 1 wall isn't enough? Very well then. You can find more downloads at mts2 (they're not walls, I promise!) Go to vividmiss.com & click on the mts2 link to go to my uploads there, or at Insim. So, like, are you gonna upload anything else here?...Well if I'm feeling adventurous I may just add a floor to match that wall :) So why will people visit your minisite?...I imagine they will mostly visit by accident...clicking the wrong link, typing the wrong name etc. And for no reason whatsoever, here's a picture of one of my sims :)

I've had so many computer problems... basically, my computer is REALLY old and I am EXTREMELY good at killing technology. I joke that this is why I married a computer tech.

I need to upgrade pretty much everything.
I lost the program(s) I used to create Sims 2 stuff.

I'm in a financial Titanic and will not be able to change any of this any time soon.

I HOPE (crosses fingers, toes, eyes, etc.) that I will be able to come back and create again someday.

I love you all and I appreciate EVERYTHING. This is a great community- keep it together and don't sweat the small stuff!

New Competition Launched

This has been a busy few weeks here by me but I'm finally getting some time to catch up and get started on a few new lots I have been thinking about - the first of which will be a new dorm that I hope you all will like.

Also I have posted another competition on the Challenges and Contests Forum - this month the challenge is to build a Graduate Starter home for around �40,000 - feel free to join in and submit your lot, you never know you might win the first prize - a fridge magnet from South Africa.

I will also be uploading one of the small 'dark starter homes' that I build for the Corpus Noor Dark Building Challenge.

Complex Japanese Roofs tute!

Well, despite this horrid bug, I've finished double-checking the second tutorial in my Japanese Roofs series. Called Building Complex Japanese Roofs, it will show (I hope) how to start building multi-level roofs - for pavilions, palaces, pagodas etc. I would stress, it's not a doddle of a tutorial. You'll definitely need to have used my first tute, and also be a little patient!!! I would call it Intermediate - 'cos I know what difficult really looks like! :lol: Then I look at some guy who says his tutorial is Advanced, and you guys could do it three years ago!!!!!! Aaaarrggghh - people. Here's the preview piccie:

Hey everyone! I am actually going to squeeze a new set in for you. I don't know when I'll be able to upload the 2nd half of this set though. Maybe I will find time over the weekend. Who knows! :) Anyway, this set is called Only U. Only U in Grape: and Only U in Sagebrush: Enjoy! and have an AMAZING day!

OH! Sims can die in CAS!

Well here I sit, better than two weeks into the release of Seasons, and I am making odd little discoveries left and right. One of which may bear some serious study. It seems that a sim can indeed freeze to death in a custom CAS! that has been edited in Seasons. That bodes ill for us lovers of custom CAS! lots.

So far I have reports of other deaths, but I haven't been able to confirm lightning strikes or heat strokes. But it is pretty catastrophic for the game too. Crashes the game to the desktop every time. I will try to grab a screen capture the next time I am in game >_<

It also seems that the lot exporter has a variable bug that may or may not include recolours, custom content, or what-not. It seems to follow no pattern and may work perfectly well for some people. It certainly has taken the shine off this EP for me to discover these bugs that obviously point to some neglect in the QA testing (again).

On to brighter news, everytime I run The Sims (tm) Life Stories I am more in love with that game. It seems to capture everything that I was missing in so many subtle ways. I have to agree with daydream58 about SLS, "I'm more of a Life Stories fan after one day than I ever was a true Sims 2 fan." - - That says a lot when you consider I have been modding and creating custom content for both The Sims and The Sims 2 for a sum of 7 years LOL

My rating for SLS is now approaching 10 from its original 5, whereas Seasons has dropped to 6 from a previous 7.5 - if the lads at EA can turn out a bug-fix in a timely fashion, Seasons may pull back up, but that all depends on the lads at EA. Let's all hope John Riccitiello cracks the whip on the bug-fix as hard as his predecessor cracked the whip on getting this out to market with the bugs!

Greetings and Welcome to my little corner. Soon I'll have more to post in this spot. For now though, I'd like to welcome all who visit my profile and thank you to all who download my creations. I enjoy making/recoloring different furniture items and building the houses to furnish them with. I would've never gotten into recoloring until one day when I wanted to try and create something just for fun for my game and had the support by the staff and other members on Sims Fashion Barn. So if your creating/recoloring for the very first time, don't be afraid to ask lot's of questions if your not sure about something or where to place a new texture on a template in SimPe. My recoloring addiction all started with a single painting months ago then it escalated into many many different pieces of furniture over time. Well thats all for right now and I hope I didn't bore anyone that reads this and I want to thank you for visiting. Thank you and Happy Simming, Chris!

In memory of Ozzucay

The Latin orator Marcus Tullius Cicero crafted a phrase that says all I could ever hope: Amicitiae nostrae memoriam spero sempiternam fore - I hope that the memory of our friendship will be everlasting. Mary is a living memory to me even in death. I shall ever recall her wry but genuine humour, her sensitivity, her generosity, her patience, and her candour; but these individual traits are facets of a more complex creature whom I had in the past year just began to know.

I regret only that I did not know her better so that my memory of her would be more richly embellished with those treasures that endure. Mary was always sincere and honest with me, she spoke her thoughts clearly and freely which itself is a treasure beyond price. I shall miss her always, and though my shock and the sharpness of this present pain may subside, the ache of a missing friend who has gone on before me will never cease.

The greatest memorial I can give to so beautiful a soul is to remember it and treasure those memories, it is a tribute that goes beyond any monument of stone or words. I enjoin you that knew her to never let her memory fade in your hearts, for so long as we remember her, she remains a living force in this world doing goodness. I pray you all have peace of heart soon and know you all that your aches though undeminished are shared and shouldered.

New Story Published

I even surprised myself with this one. After the long drawn out process of

1)learning to shoot video
2)manage moving animations
and then
3)edit the results together so they make some sort of sense

returning to photostories made a wonderful change.

I just wish I could add a warning sticker to deter those readers looking for something more TSR mainstream. They will surely be disappointed, and it hurts to get negative feedback, even if I do think I know where it's coming from.
