New home
Hello and welcome all to my new home - I am currently busy setting up my mini-site so hopefully, if everything goes smoothly, I should be up and running properly in a few days - Thank you very much to Thomas and the rest of the TSR staff for hosting all my creations - you guys are the best!Windows Vista - The Return of the Error
Yup - even with a totally fresh clean install of the whole Vista OS, and a fesh download and install of the TSR Installation Wizard it STILL does not work, however it is nice enough now to tell me that it cannot find the destination folder - IE the MY Chuffing DOCUMENTS that doesnt chuffing EXIST anymore - ARGH!!!!Does this mean that even though I get Wizard benefit because I pay a subscription fee, I cant actually use it... Because if they change the wizard's destination path, then it will not work on XP... the only thing I can think of is if the update the wizard to allow the user to select the file destination pathe themselves... I can see me having to a holler to Pommes me thinks....
Valentine's Flags
The slew of flags I made for winter and the holidays were very popular, I'm happy to say. I had numerous people asking me if I would continue to provide flags for the rest of the holidays throughout the year and the answer is YES! Later this week a set of Valentine's and love-themed flags will be published.
I have another set of flags ready to launch later this month as well but I'll keep that a little surprise for now. I'm also putting together some nice generic flag sets, although I'm not too sure when I'll release those but I'll probably start to sprinkle them in with my other planned creations shortly so keep watching this space for the news. :)

Finally finished :)
I finished the new living room set - finally! I had to work at ridiculous times the past two weeks (I'm glad that's over now), so that didn't help. But it's uploaded now, so I hope it will be published soon. It's called 'Kontrast', and it's in black and white and very shiny chrome. I hope you'll like it!Kitchen Stuff
Of course, you know, it will be Mission match maxis ingame colors and my wood recolors (5). I have completed the request for the Community Lot Templest Cooker. I am working on Stoves, Fridges, Dishwasher, Trash Compactor, and small appliances to match these woods. They are turning out quite well, if I must say so myself. You can judge when you see the pics or if you download them. Off to recolor....New Set For The Super Bowl
Well, I worked so much last week that I thought I would drop from exhaustion. Then I slept all day Saturday (practically) and had just enough energy to do a recolor set. Here it is for your little girl sims. Should be published in a couple of days. :)

Well, I now have my computer upgraded to Windows Vista. And, I love it! Also, I was originally going to make seperate sets of Maxis Matching Items/Different number of tile versions like making some sofas into chairs, 2 tile book cases, etc, but I decided to make a living room/dining room Maxis Matching Set. So, here is the first object preview, of a chair. However, it is 2 tiles since I can't figure out how to get the sim to sit in it when it is only one tile, but when it is 2 tiles, they can sit in it!
I am still also working on the TS1 for TS2 object set. I don't know when I will have it finished, but I have the first object finished. It is the lingerie (sp?) rack from TheSims Hot Date. Here's the preview:

Sets for the next week
So today was Sunday - I could relax and I did some new sims stuff for the next week: 4 sets. One set is for Teen Sims and a remake from a last adult set. I like these outfits and I tought the would look really great on teens, too.
Tomorrow my collection 177 will release. This one base on a new mesh from the great confide. All outfits have different styled tops :) Here is on example:
And we know the spring is standing for our doors (I hope so... ;) Because of that I've done again some spring/summer outfits. These are dresses for that you don't need to download a mesh etc. Here my favourite of the set: a floral belted spring/summer dress
And last but not least some fitting, casual outfits for relaxing ;) They base on a mesh from Sims2Sisters. 2 of the 4 outfits from the sets also works as athletic wear.

Expansion Pack Info - Please Read!
There are two possible ways to install lots for which you don't have all the EPs. Read on! Please back up your data if you're trying either of these methods for the first time (although I haven't heard of any problems so far). But I don't want to be held responsible for any problems with your game, ok?!If you have Pets installed, you should be able to use the Maxis Installer to install ANY lot, whether or not you have the correct EPs. This works for both Macs and PCs. Of course, items from the EPs you DON'T have will be missing. So, if you don't have the correct windows, the building won't have windows. Same goes for furniture. With doors, it seems that the game will replace them with a door from the base game.
If you don't have Pets but are using a PC, you can use Clean Installer to install lots for which you have the last EP. That is, if a lot requires Uni, NL and OFB, as long as you have OFB, the lot should install for you. Once again, items from the EPs you DON'T have will be missing.
I hope that helps some of you who've contacted me wishing you could install a certain lot for which you don't have the EPs. If you want to read more about all this, check out this thread in the forums.

Pet Pillow Fantastic Plus
Modified versions of the respective Maxis pet bed for use by specific age groups only. The different pet baskets can either be used by adult dogs/ adult cats/ kittens or pups only. The canopy has been removed and a couple additional cushions have been added. Decorative toys indicate the age group they are designed for. Find two slightly different designs at MTS2 and TS2Creations respectively.

Slow Going.....
Well I've completed 10 Carrie Bradshaw outfits so far! The one I worked on last night, I thought would be an easy one. Wrong! That one ended up taking me about 8 hours to complete. Of course, I do tend to be a bit of a perfectionist and I want to make sure all the seams line up perfectly and the outfit looks as realistic as possible. Since I am having to do a good portion of the outfits freehand, it takes a long time to make them look right. For me, the trickiest part is drawing folds in the fabric that look realistic. I'm getting better at it, but I still feel there is a lot of room for improvement.Anyway....look for the new collection to be coming out soon!
Windows Vista
Vista... Now that it has been officially released, most 3rd party software has had an upgrade where needed. but a word of warning... Vista now gives you an option to insall over the top of XP. this seems like a wonderful idea.. but it isnt.I found that a lot of XP dregs were left behind and casused compatibility issues where there was no real need. I have yet to do a proper test as to whether the TSR installation wizard, Challenge wizard and story wizard work properly or whether Clean Installer work yet though. the odd thing was, the clean installer and wizard looked like they were working, no errors or anything, yet most of the items i had installed just were not there!
I have now spent ALL DAY making backups and doing a total clean fresh install of Vista, and transferred all my stuff back over. I will try running my game, and the installers and - fingers crossed - they might work correctly... I will update ye ole blog with the results!

Finally (FINALLY!) I uploaded the Bang-On-A-Can set! I apologise to everyone waiting so very patiently for this set, but the first set is out this week (9th February) with a couple of recolour sets following later (also uploaded). Real Life took a happy little dent from my free time (see how I'm launching for the sympathy vote?) and so there was a bit of a delay.But.... have I got something for you!!! (if you like Sci Fi or building, that is)...
A set of decorative icons to place on buildings, or the landscape to make Sims gasp in total awe and say "Erm.... What's that?" Naturally, I hope YOU show more enthusiasm than your Sims, otherwise I will revert back to my usual genre of disgusting toilets.
And there's more! Contrary to my normal behaviour of "tell you all about it but don't upload it for ages", this one IS uploaded already and will be hitting the 'available' pages some time around 20 February!
PS: notice how I've spelt 'Odyssey' correctly? Thought I'd mention it.
Newest Project
I've always been a fan of the TV show Sex and the City and love Carrie Bradshaw's style. It occurred to me while watching the show that I wanted to recreate her style for the Sims. It's very difficult though because there aren't that many good pictures of her that are large enough for me to use as templates for the clothes. I've had to "freehand" the majority of my creations. The other problem that I've run into is finding meshes that fit close enough that I can modify them. I don't know how to create my own meshes yet, so I have to rely on using other's meshes for now. I plan to create a whole "Carrie Bradshaw Collection" which showcases her funky style. So far, I've only gotten 6 outfits finished. Some of them were created based on pictures I've found on the internet and others were created by me watching the show and trying to remember the outfits.Here's a sneak preview of what will be uploaded over the next few days.

Cool. I can create polls now. My first one. I'll be asking for your votes periodically as I come up with new ways to coax information out of you so I can make you better stuff. Hope you'll vote. It'll give you kudos and give me info. Best of all, it replaced that wallpaper that has been at the top of my site for ages. I just hated putting up my last entry when my last entry might be something everyone wanted and it wouldn't show up for months. So I always put that poor wallpaper up last so no one will look or care. Now I have a lovely poll to replace it. Much better. I just need to update regularly with a new poll and you won't ever have to look at that wallpaper again! Super!I'm continuing to work on the Turano Dining Room recolors. judyhugssnoopy already beat me to it, though and I really like her recolor. Hers is all black and silver, so check it out. Mine won't be out for a while, sad to say. Got a big queue going here. Anyway, if you want to tell me anything, don't hesitate to drop me a line. I'm trying to clean out some of the folders on my computer, so this week I'll be submitting some random items that don't really fall into a particular theme(since I love to work with themes). Preview pics will be posted in the next few days.
Feb 4th, Victorian Children's Bedding
The Victorian Children's Bedding set is scheduled for release on Feb. 4th. The set includes bedding to match each of my Victorian Inspired Nursery sets.
In addition, there are recolors of the single bedframe, antique white and darkwood (antique gold bedframe is the mesh file). The set has 9 recolors for the single bed canopy. Sweet Dreams!
Mademoiselle
This is a set of ultra-feminine strapless formal gowns in silk taffeta layered with translucent organza, gathered into pretty asymmetrical flounces across the bias cut skirt and forming a train at the rear. The dresses also feature an empire bustline and frilled hem.
The dresses use one of my favourite gown meshes: Giverny by Rosemat at Pronupsims, with its beautiful short train. If you don't already have this mesh, you can download it free from Rosemat's meshes.
Available for adults and young adults in 10 colour combinations, including white and ivory versions for brides.
Last of the cozy lavender items!
The cozy lavender set is drawing to a close, with just a few items left to publish. a single bed will be up first, followed by a cozy lavender bedroom #2, This will have a larger frame on the bed, a ottoman and some sheer lavender net curtains. Publish date Feb 3rdFor those of you that know I'm trying to give up smoking, I'm now on day 23 (whooooo hooo!) smoke free and I haven't cheated yet! I am/was a heavy smoker (20 - 30 a day), and I have smoked for about 20 years, this is the longest I have given up for, 7 days was my last failed attempt. After 23 days I'm really hoping to give up for good now. To keep myself occupied I'm concentrating on my sims creating.
Holy Simoly Recolors
Hey everyone! Been an eventful month or so in my personal life, so I have not been as on the ball as I would like with my updates. I hope to remedy that soon, though, starting with some recolors of Holy Simoly's Amarante set. By a mile, it is my favorite set of couches ever, and I could probably spend the rest of my "sim" life recoloring them. :P I hope you will enjoy them, and I also hope you will take a look at their site -http://www.holysimoly.com/index.cfm?go=home.welcome - which is simply THE BEST free site on the web, period. You wont find better free objects with more amazing textures anywhere else in the Sims community, and their donation packs are the very definition of value for the money. Now that I'm done pimping them out, I'll fill you in on my plans for the next month or so. If you arent already sick of hearing about those skintones, they should be available in one way or another within the next few weeks. I have some more curtains textures for Simtomatics voile panel curtain mesh in the works, and also some mens jeans and T-shirts ready for upload. After that, I would like to get back into female finery in some form or another.But I would like to hear from you about where you would like me to focus my attentions next. Maybe you could help me out with that? Take part in my poll if you would, so I can determine what to work on next. Thanks for your time folks!!

As many lamps is to big to have on the window sills, I made a smaller one. This can also be used toghether with fireplaces. Comming soon!

Grapics Issues.....
Well I finally did get several new things created, but when I opened the game to take pictures, the outfits looked blurry. This has happened in the past, and if I exited the lot and came back in, it usually cleared up. But this time, it's not clearing up. Nothing has changed on my computer and I've checked all the graphics settings within the game, and I can't find a reason for why the clothes are appearing blurry, other than maybe my graphics card is going bad. I know it's not the clothes because they are fine outside of the game. Plus, ALL the clothes within the game look blurry (not just the new stuff), so I know it has something to do with my graphics.I'll have to see what I can do to fix the problem before I submit the new items because, obviously, they will look terrible if I take pictures of them now.
If you have any ideas on what else I can try, please let me know. Otherwise, I may be off to the computer store to buy a new graphics card today. :)

WhiteRail with Insets and FPaints
A new direction with my White moulding came about with a request in the wall and floor forum for a simple chairrail and inset with a plain wall. The picture shows the most ornate form, but there are also most of the "White" colors with rails coming up. I will play with some paint and wallpaper combinations also as shown in the Provential wall.Also new is the handpainted floral with butterfly moulding with curved end pieces. This will look great in a study or library or even a country kitchen or diningroom. I'd love to get some comments on these.

I can take a hint...I received a few requests for single-bed bedding to match the Nursery crib bedding. I thought is was a wonderful idea. I hope to release the bedding set soon. Oh My Gosh!
I woke up this morning to see I made it to the Three Million downloads mark. WOW! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all the downloads. This is amazing. It warms my heart to see this many downloads of my recolors.They're back and they're fixed!
The first Storybook lots will be released on Friday. These are the home bakery and starter bakery lots that I postponed releasing until I was sure the roofs weren't misbehaving. The roofs are all fixed, definitely NOT green and have been independently tested ;-) Scroll down my blog for more details and pics!
No updates soon...
Well, I will not be making anything new/finishing any current projects until next week. This Wednesday, I am suppose to recieve my copy of Windows Vista upgrade, so I will be doing that, and I will be getting use to the new GUI. Also, I have *finally* got a Nintendo Wii, so I will be playing that as well.But, I will have some new stuff soon! I am working on making the TS1 for TS2 mesh set, 1 Tile Version of TS2 Objects, and 2 Tile Version of TS2 Objects. That will be a lot of work, but I'm sure it will be worth it!
