So much coming up!
I've been on hiatus over the holidays, I guess you could say. But when I come back, I'm coming back with a bang! I'm currently working on six different bedroom sets. Each of these will have several recolors. I'll probably be releasing them as SuperSets, because I know many people prefer it when I do it that way.I don't plan on doing a different bedding/rug/pillows set for every recolor, like I often do, but I will be releasing a bedding set (with rugs and pillows) just before the bedrooms go up. Those will be the beddings that I use in the previews for the object sets. I don't really have any previews available right now, but I can link to the actual furniture sets that the meshes are based on.
First, there's the Sterling Collection. I had to do this one not only because I think it's gorgeous, but because of the name as well. My husband's screen name is steRling.
Second will be the Capri Collection. I loved the slats in the headboard, and the simple lines of the rest of the set.
Third is the Midtown Collection. This one took me a bit of searching to find the preview of it. It seems they've either changed the name of it (which they've done more than once in the past), or they're not selling it any longer (or much longer).
Fourth is the San Paolo Collection. The preview will feature a TV made by ogula from ogularama. If you want it, you'll have to bug him for it. ;)
Fifth is the Sebring Collection. I nearly forgot that I started this one. I'll have to finish the meshes for it up tomorrow.
And last is the Metro Collection. I don't have a preview for it because it's no longer available at furniture.com, and I haven't been able to find it since. It is the one that I started and showed a Milkshape preview of in another of my blog entries. I decided that even though I didn't have a preview of what the rest of the set looked like any longer, I'd just make some nice and simple objects to go along with it.
Pitiful Pearl Bedding
Four lovely patterns to choose from! No that is NOT true. Four god-awful patterns to choose from! But you know in 'some' houses, nice, pretty bedding just doesn't fit. That's why I created these semi-ugly, shabby, blah bedcoverings. It was needed I tell you, LOL! Here are 2 samples in game-play.....

Uh Oh!
Nancy's obsessed with recoloring clothes! This is not good, I will get no sleep.I'm starting off with Maxis meshes. Don't want to mess up someone else's hard work yet. Lol. I don't know when I will upload them as I first have to make models and figure out the pic taking.
I'm pleased with them so far. Hope they look as good in game, as they do in Body Shop. ????? We'll see.

Wow!
My first blog entry on my minisite :) I feel very honoured to be a select artist!Anyway, I uploaded a new set yesterday, which will be published in a few days. It's a pet set that matches my 'Modern Classic' bedroom set - I really had fun making that one, so I thought it would be nice to have a pet bed that would look good with it. I hope you'll like it!
Horizontals
The next in line is Horizontals. This wallpaper is guaranteed to make any Sims room seem longer and wider. Use it as an accent wall teamed up with Studio K Solids for a cool effect. Have an AMAZING day! Horizontals shown in Hosta:
Meadcroft
You will only need NL and OFB to install this lot. It's a companion to Woodcroft - I'm hoping the two will sit well together in a neighbourhood. Here's a couple more pics:An overview of the lot - taken before I'd completely finished the lot! (The driveway will accomodate two cars):

As you can see, the lot is unfurnished. I haven't put a kitchen in because there's several rooms which are suitable (including the conservatory), so I thought I'd leave it up to everyone's individual tastes.

I'm going to try to upload twice a week with smaller sets on Wednesdays and the larger sets on Saturdays. I hope I can keep up this shedule. Here are my Brick walls from Sims1 adapted for Sims2. They really are the bricks from part of the front of my house; they will be published on Jan 24th. Some beveled wood siding on the 20th.
Empress
A set of 10 exquisite strapless formal gowns: the boned lace-up bodice is embellished with intricate embroidery and beadwork accents; the shimmering taffeta overskirt is gathered at the side to reveal a delicate pleated organza underskirt. Ten beautiful colour combinations for adults and young adults.
These gowns were inspired by a Simple Elegance ball gown and use a Maxis mesh that came with University. Originally, they were only available for young adults and had no bump map. I was able to make the gowns available for adults and add a bump map using SimPE - my thanks to Quaxi for this wonderful programme and also to Morague at MTS2 for her excellent bump map tutorial.
Back again
I was gone longer than I planned but had to stay longer home than planned. I hope I find time very soon to do new creations again.Yay!
Woot!My keyboard is working again..no more having to write messages in that stupid insert symbol thingamajig in word! I'm on a new computer now, well, not new really, its my boyfriend's old computer and the specs are not good! I'm back to 256mb of RAM again, my old RAM won't fit in this thing> :(
I should hopefully have some more walls uploaded in the next week or so, depending on if this thing wants to let me run homecrafter or not, hopefully it will...it sucks not being able to create things.

The Bang-On-A-Can Luxury Bathroom
Time to release a beautiful new bathroom set. I won't waste time describing beautiful Victorian fittings because you already know by now that I'm incapable of nice bathrooms, so without further delay, here it is - lovingly crafted to be the pride of anyone's palace...
I've made each mesh free-standing (no nuisance walls required), which means you can dump a can right in the middle of someone's posh yard - no cheats required. The piping in the set is the shower (it's supposed to be a burst pipe before you start asking your rude and pointed questions again)...
Everything's fully animated. Well, at least TRY to look impressed about that. I know it's taken me something like a year longer than everyone else to attempt it, but I shall nevertheless force you to admire the animated toilet seat...
Pretty set, isn't it? Goes nice with my window boxes!

Why I like requests.....
I know before I got on my soapbox about requests, but I also do enjoy them. See sometimes I get a brain fart or whatever you want to call it, and I just can't come up with an idea.So when I see a request either in a pm, or in my guest book it gives me something to focus on. And once my creative juices start flowing, I get creative again.
I know this is kinda weird, (unless of course your a creator) but I get excited about requests. And besides, it has introduced me to bands I may never have heard of, like My Chemical Romance.
So feel free to go crazy and fill my box up. I always take them in the order I receive them, so if you don't see it right away it will come. Just give me the time to do it. I don't always have hours for creation, but I try to do a little everyday to keep my feet wet.
So in closing, I hope to see more requests this year and for years to come. And yes I will be getting back to t shirts soon, I just like to experiment with new stuff.
Off to the races
Well, today was the first day back to nursing school and MAN what a day! I will have a new class every 5 weeks plus a preceptor program that requires 112 hours of working with an RN. I already have 3 papers and 4 chapters to read in a week! Luckly this is my last term. Come May I will be eligble to take my boards and be a real nurse. With all that said I will not be around the site a lot. However, I will submit if and when I have time. I will be checking PM's and comments as often as possible so please keep 'em coming but don't get angry if I don't answer right away. Good luck in all your endevors.Rachel

New Tutorial...
Well! I did promise! Ive started off with another easy one - You know those lovely fancy arched garages I do, well, to some of you they might look straight forward to some, but I love to help out all those new builders who struggle, just like i did with those endless "cheats" and the thing I love to do, is to make it look appealing. Who doesnt love to make a pretty garden? or something just that bit different than usual? So, my second tutorial is on how to make what I term an "Elegant Garage". These look particularly great with tudor and victorian lots, or on those where something a bit special is required. Hopefully, the tutorial itself will be approved and ready for upload very soon - and if anyone finds it helpful, you know how much I love feedback!

Oy! If it isn't one thing it's another! I sat down last night for the first time in a week to play TS2 and it wouldn't load. Apparently some important Windows file(s) is/are "Deleted or Misplaced". So, certain things are no longer working. No, I don't know how this happened.Such is life- right?
My hubby (the computer tech) has promised to look at it when he has some serious time to really get into it. **sighs heavily**
I had been hoping to make some new stuff- but now I can't even PLAY!

Additional Waterfront Windows
Additional Waterfront windows are coming up soon. I tested a new 3-tile wide halfround window and it looks great! Pleased with it's shape I created a couple of 2-tile windows of similar curve and also a pair of round top archways that should nicely complement the set. All will be linked to the original master window from the first Waterfront set. I'm also planning to include additional recolors. The windows will not require expansion packs. You can see the original Waterfront windows along with matching doors in this superset by me. These windows, along with most of my creations, are TSRAA items, which means they can be used in TSR uploaded lots :).
Little Set Back
In case you're wondering where all those shiny, new creations were I promised, I've had something of a set back. It appears that the old hard drive I had saved all my Sims creation material on has finally died - before I could transfer all the files into my backup hard drive, naturally.So, I've lost pretty much everything - all my textures, all my meshes, all my templates and package files. It's not really critical stuff compared to what I could have lost on that machine but suffice it to say that having to hunt down all that material all over again (or simply recreate it from scratch) has really put a damper on my creative juices. :(
I am, however, working on a new bedroom set - a nice dark walnut brown version of Sim_man123's Bristol Bay bedroom, which I absolutely fell in love with the minute he released it but it's slow going and I'm having decision crisis on the bedding, walls and floor textures, as well as what type of curtains to include, paintings, rugs, etc. (if any). I'd welcome any input you'd like to see on the set - here's a preview of the set so far.

Big Announcement!
I have a big announcement for all of you! I will be announcing very soon the date I will be submitting the Modern Stuff Mini Pack. I am coming very close to finishing make all the meshes. I pretty much just have the TV mesh, stereo mesh, and a few other meshes to make, along with a few recolors of the meshes, walls, floors, and a couple of lots, and then I will be done. I have complete a couple more meshes today- shelves and the bed mesh. Yesterday, I completed the column mesh. And, to show you the huge progress I have made, I have the fourth official preview for you!

I'm Creating A New Sims Site
There have been mumblings about this for almost a year now, but I've finally set the ground to make a new sims site that should be opening sometime during the next few weeks.The reason why I held off on making it was because I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go in, in terms of whether it would be a paysite, or a free site / whether it would feature recolors of other site's meshes (with permission of course) or only recolors of my own meshes / whether I'd ask other members from TSR to join me, or I'd venture out alone at first...and then maybe ask once the site has been out long enough, and is as stable as I would feel comfortable...things like that.
I won't release the site name now (because I haven't registered it, and I'd be so pissed if someone stole it and registered it before me (trust me, it's original, and cute, and DOES have the word "Sim" in it..,you'll love it =) )
I've busted my bootie making submissions to TSR for 3 years now (and to that "shadow" artist who thinks she's been on here for longer than I have--you know who you are--you couldn't be more wrong, Sweetie. My first sims2 submission was posted 6 days before my birthday in 2004 which was the 10th of September--so my first submission was posted on September 4th, 2004. Your first submission was in November of 2004. Get the facts straight.
Select artist is nice, but I feel it's a slap in the face for all the long years I've put in, and the faithfulness I've had to TSR.
Trust me, I'm grateful for all the fans, and recognition, and tips/tricks that I've come across, but I'm not one to jump through firey hoops, especially if it involves putting money into other people's pockets. I have no clue what it'll take for me to become a featured artist here, and I'm at a point where I'm just scared to know what I'd have to do...(kidnap a celebrity? lol) So, that's an abandoned goal that takes a lot of pressure off of me.
I will definitely post another blog once the site is up and running, and just so you know it will be half free, and half pay (new meshes, and mesh recolors will be pay (unlimited downloads for about $3.00...no need to go crazy with the price, I mesh/recolor because I love doing it)--any recolors of meshes that came with the game will be 100% free...and I promise they will be plentiful and good quality. I will also soon be meshing hair, and objects, so I'm excited, and feel I am definitely ready to spread my wings and fly out there on my own.

Daisy
This is a simple set of casual mix and match separates for adults and young adults with a daisy theme in shades of lemon, chocolate and cream - yummy! :-)
The set comprises four comfy cotton 3/4 sleeve tops with daisy appliqu� and four complementary pairs of cropped trousers worn with co-ordinating deck shoes. This set uses standard Maxis meshes.
Swimmable Seas

The childrens romm is now done and is being tested. Meanwhile I am prepping the pictures for the upload, so I'm hoping it will not take to long before it will be up for download. I sure hope you will like it :-)
Inside Three Cubes...
Now, Three Cubes does NOT require Uni - just NL and OFB. I'm hoping that will be good news for those of you who don't have that expansion. I'll be posting more this subject soon but the good news is that I'm now able to build without using certain EPs, thanks to rhiamom's hard work in the forums. :-)Here's a couple of shots of the interior of Three Cubes, as promised. It's decorated throughout in greys and yellows - much nicer and more sophisticated than it sounds, lol! It's set up for a Sim couple to use at the moment, but you could rearrange it to make room for a couple of kids.

This lot will be released in a set along with an unfurnished starter version, so that those of you who like to have your Sims work their way up in the world can do so :-)

Stroller
Just had to insert this recolor of SnowStorms Large Toddler ONLY stroller. It is so cute. I am so glad she uploaded it to MTS2 for Chrsitmas. I managed to get all the meshes for the counter-matching chairs made just before the holidays. I'll be taking a break from working on my Legacy story some time this week to convert them into .packages and get them posted.I'm also hoping to find time to make some recolours of my long tshirts, since they seem to have been quite well received. They'll probably be just simple colour shifts in the main, though if I find some inpiration I might make some with graphics or patterns, who knows.
Have a few other things I'm planning to make too (more bedding-match and Maxis-match items, for one...) if only the Soups and all the other inhabitants of Canne and Stock would stop tapping me on the shoulder and insisting I get their stories told *now*.

Solids
Yes. I finally took care of what quite a few have asked for. Solid color walls. Use them to paint a room and add one of the many Studio K Wallpapers as an accent wall. I guarantee it will make you and your Sims quite happy. Have an AMAZING day!Update!
Happy new year to everyone!I just finished uploading (to publish tomorrow) a new mesh set consisting of 18 objects. This set is made to match Maxis' OFB Storybook theme. There will also be several recolors available within the next week. Details can be found in my creations thread
For those patiently waiting for my Sushi, it's being finalized right now and will be the next set published after the Storybook sets, followed by the poll winning Mexican cuisine! Updates with preview shots coming asap!
Just Some News...
I just have a little bit of new for you all. I have *finally* submitted the Pets Set 2. I am still waiting for the approval of the OFB Set 5, OFB Set 6, OFB Set 1 Addons, and now Pets Set 2. I am also waiting to here if my TS1 Walls and Floors have been approved.Modern Stuff Mini Pack Update:
I have began work on my first Modular Stair Mesh. I can't wait to get it finished to get a preview of it up for you all! :-) However, I have not had a chance to attempt the Sofa Mesh. I will most likely make some modifications to the mesh itself.
