Mid-Winter Series
Today I'm starting a sequence of homes in my MidWinter series. They're all snow-bound and cold but (I hope) lovely! ;) A genuine Starter home (< 20K) is the first one. Here's a preview pic of the Mid-Winter Castle, which is based on a Scottish tallhouse. The tallhouses were smallish fortified homes, strong enough to resist any English marauders (15th-17thC).
More Georgian Pics!
Hehe, well after all that excitement, normal service is being restored. Here we go - a few more details of the interior of the Georgian Townhouse. So, in the basement, you will find a teen bedroom with a small lounge area, a small kitchen and a bathroom (as well as the gym shown in the previous post). Basically I wanted somewhere for teens to hang out and have some independence. Here's an overview of the basement with my trusty tester family in it:

Moving up a floor, your Sims will find a sitting room, living area and snooker room:

Here's a detail of the sitting room...:

...and one of the snooker room:

Back with pics from the upper floors, soon ;-)
Current creations
I just finished uploading my Indian Inspired Living set as well as 3 recolor sets:RC 1 - in warm browns & green , RC 2 - in cool lilac & turquoise
and last but not least RC 3 - in rich red velvet & olive green.
I will also be adding a few Theme/Holiday donwloads in the next day or so.
I am currently still working on the sushi set, the prep/cook/serve states are completed just need to line up the eat states (Sims eat with their hands). As soon as that's working correctly I will have 3 sushi meals. I'm estimating they will be up for download early January.
As per poll results, the next ethnic food set will be Mexican, again this should be available in January (estimate mid month).
I am also going to create the two other ethnic food sets from the poll. As I just finished an Indian inspired living set, this one may follow Mexican; although with Valentine's not far away I may take a break to create some lovely baked goods first.
Winter Wonderland Poll
My first poll ran from 3rd to 19th December and asked what type of creations downloaders would prefer me to make for the Winter Wonderland Theme Week (18th to 24th December).Thank you to the 113 people from the following countries who took part:

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all who read this. My best wishes for all you for a happy and healthy year ahead. Here's a picture of collection 1 of "Ritz" moulded walls in a strange aray of textures, from Victorian to modern. These will be published on December 23rd. I'll be back from celebrating the holidays with my grandsons on the 28th. Blessings everyone! judi
My vacation
Hi, I will be out of town from Dec 20 to Jan 7. Before I go, I submit my new xmas baby set and will publish on Dec 22. Hope you like it. Happy holiday :D
Christmas Baubles
This is my third and, for this year at least, final set of festive hairstyles. As with the Poinsettia set, I've again used a beautiful Sunair mesh - this time T023 . I've changed the alpha a bit to lose the heavy fringe and straighten out the hair. I've re-coloured the hair from scratch in eight subtle shades and the baubles in three unsubtle seasonal shades: red, white and green.
As usual, the festive style is available for adults, young adults and elders (in silver) and I've also re-coloured the complimentary styles for teens, children and toddlers in matching shades (not shown).
I hope you've enjoyed my festive creations. This will be my final set now until after Christmas - I'm going to be too busy wrapping presents and cooking turkey until then!
I would like to wish everyone at TSR a very happy festive season and to say thank you again for all the support I've received this year - from downloaders, TSR staff and my fellow featured artists. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write comments, send PMs or sign my guestbook - your feedback is the main reason I keep creating and I appreciate every single comment.
Merry Christmas!
Beth
Thank you!
It's been so lovely to read all the messages, welcomes and congratulations :-) Thank you very much to everyone who has been in touch. I do want to reply individually and am making my way through the messages but in the mean time please know that I really appreciate them all!Moving to new Flat
I am sorry for the lack of updates, but I am moving now to a new flat and don't have an internet connection now. But soon this year I will be back shortly.FYI...
Hey everyone!Though I don`t have the custom of writing a blog, i just wanted to tell you all that for the next 3 weeks I`ll be gone. I`m spending the holidays with my family, and I can already see myself rolling on the couch with a full belly. Still, this dosen`t mean I`ll get lazy when it comes to making and uploading creations. Winter Delight and Simple delight, my 2 new hair sets with animated meshes will be released soon, so be sure to log on and check them out! And in the mean time - I wish you all happy holidays with lots of love, luck, joy and - good food!
Latest Project
Errr. I spent last night paging through 55 pages of rugs. I had so many images that I was saving for rugs. I kept thinking maybe one day I'd build a room around them. Then I realized that I would be much older and grayer by the time I got around to that many rooms. So I decided to go ahead and make the rugs that I had. But first, I had to make sure no one else had used the same designs. So, page after page, turn, turn. After a while, oriental carpet designs tend to all blur into one. It was worth it though. I found one image I had that had already been made into a beautiful rug by an FA back in July 2005. So now that person won't think I copied their work. Everything else checked out though, so there will be maybe 4 or 5 sets of 5 or 6 carpets coming out in the future. And I won't have to stare at them any more. And maybe some day I will make a nice room using some of them, but you'll have them to play with in the mean time. **Yawn** Really should sleep occasionally.Anyway, there will be some basic Oriental designs, some real-life picture types, some geometrics and some other types. Your Sims will have very warm toes.
Miami Vice
This week I'll be moving my Miami Vice(the 80's tv show, not the movie with Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell) stuff over from my main Yahoo group. Preview pics will be posted shortly.Wow :-)
I'm sitting here wondering how on earth to express how happy I am to have been chosen as an FA. Like many creators, it's something I've dreamed of since first coming to TSR many years ago. Gosh. I don't know what to say! Thank you TSR and thanks to anyone who's ever downloaded my lots, too. It's just amazing, in the loveliest possible way, to get this recognition :-)Toy Santa
Work in progress - toy Santa :). I just finished the actual 3D model, still need to work on a texture. *Edited to add* Here is my attempt at a lamp version of Santa. I think it would make a good lawn scrulpture as well. Will attempt that too :)
Terms of Use
If you wish to use my creations in uploaded lots or create recolors for the meshes, please read the following:http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/sims2/376601/

Eyebrow Fever!
While we are trying to get the skintone situation worked out, I figured I would go ahead and upload some eyebrows that I have been wanting to release forever. Its a huge collection, with 15 different styles, broke up into three manageable parts. I have some retro styles for your period sims, some quirky ones for your unusual sims, and also some trendy and glamorous ones for your fashion forward sims. In the meantime, I'm trying to come to some reasonable compromises on those skintones set. Once all is said and done they should please everyone, I hope. Have fun with the brows!I thinking about making a forum with my friend and make brand new creation and upload there.
Do not worry I still upload my creation to TSR, but with our own forum we can put things TSR do not approve there or something I want to share to everyone.I have plan to make a free site one day with a few Thai Sims Fans
Each of us are good at specific categories.
When we plan to have a site, there is also a computure engineering student who like Sims and agreed to make website for us, but we have lost contact.
So the project is 'On Hold' now.
We try to lean how to create website by ourselves now.
I think we might make a forum that we can upload our creations on.
Do you know any free forum host ? Is Ezboard free ?
Best regards.

My "Dream House"!
Lol! I found this on the Net and couldn't resist putting it up. Now you know where all my inspiration comes from (I spend a lot of time looking at old, old, shabby, decaying, delapidated dwellings ...LOL!
Modern Stuff Pack Preview
I have a small preview finally of a couple of the objects in my Modern Stuff Mini Pack. Please note though, these textures are not final, and there is still tweaking to do, and these are only a couple of the objects, so there is still a lot for me to do! Preview:
Victorian Inspired Study, Re-published Dec. 18th
You may have notice that my Victorian Inspired Study set is not available for download today. I do apologize for this, but I needed to update the set's OFB bookcase. The OFB bookcase books were not recolorable.
Unfortunately, I had to unpublished the entire set, to update one item. The OFB bookcase books are now recolorable. In addition, I made a minor tweak to the appearance of the glass doors, the glass is less opaque.
The set will be re-published December 18th.
Previews coming soon!
I will have some previews coming soon of my new Modern Stuff Mini Pack! I have made the "counters" which are really just tables since they are more for decorative purposes, and I also have been working on the bar and bar deco.Dark Legends Rug Series
A nice assortment of large 3x4 rugs for you to choose from. I am using several in my game at the moment. What's nice is if you also download Echo's 2x3 rug mesh, these rug patterns will also be available in that size. I just discovered that in my game and the smaller size is pictured below. Happily, I can say I finally have reached vacation time! ... It was touch and go there for a while. Being a teacher in a self-contained room with 20, 7 and 8 year-olds, this past week has been a 'Nightmare from Christmas'! Everything with the kids is Santa, Santa, Santa! They are so excited! I have survived .... but I think my hair is falling out! LOL! I have to go lay down now .....
Moving Along
Bathrooms are in full motion. There should be enough to make a whole bathroom now. Just lacking the decorative stuff. I have some more walls and floors coming for the bathroom shortly too. I think you'll like them.I also have a whole bathroom set to release that is different from the regular 20 shades. And a really weird bedroom.
Recently I realized that I haven't done any Grilled Cheese Masterpieces in quite some time, so I have done / am doing 5 to 6 sets of 8 to keep your Sims' walls pretty. I tried to get pictures/frames that would go with the 20 shades since you have all that wall space to fill now.
There are a few other sets of items in the 20 shades in the works as well. And I have some simple dining rooms I'm working on too. And so many more walls and floors that I can't even count them all. And more curtains. So even if I totally ran out of inspiration today, I'd have enough to do for the next six months just finishing what I've started. Well, I'm tired and babbling. I'll talk more later when I'm rational.
Smogstown Rooftops
LyssaKi reminded me what I SHOULD be getting on with. And here was me contemplating those flowery table cloths... (and if you wonder what I'm talking about, I'm going to sue you for not reading every fascinating word in my blog). Anyway LyssaKi thought our roofs were just TOO tidy... But not anymore!!!
Season's Greetings!
Happy Holiday to everyone, whichever holiday it is you do (or don't!) celebrate at this time of year. Recreated my sim-self lately to play around with maybe making a new avatar image or two for myself, and while I had her loaded in my Legacy neighborhood, I decided to make a greetings image using her :) And yes, I really did spend over half an hour working on the soup can image just to shrink it down to near-unreadable size for the final thought balloon image, hah!
For those of you not already familiar with my epic story and it's cast of thousands (okay, maybe not quite that many... yet!) you can read it here on the TSR forums. It doesn't really start to hit it's stride until after the first nine pages, when I finished the first 10 generations (under the University challenge rules) and started in on the second 10 (using Progress Over Time rules). You can see how much more verbose I've gotten with writing it when you note I'm currently up to page 38 and still have 4 more generations to go for this set of 10...
Overall, I'm quite pleased with it these days, hehehe!
Holidays!!!!
Im going home on holiday over christmas till the 5th of january so I wont have acces to a computer most times. So if you have any questions I wont be able to write back for a while.See you soon again.
My Minisite
Hello Everyone,I'm honored to finally buy a minisite. Yes that's right, I raised 20,000 kudos by donating, rating and commenting and of course ... uploading.
Things are still a little ... O.o ... on it at the moment, like:
1. No Downloads
2. Color Scheme
The Sims Resource Support has been notified about this...
Hopefully this will change later tonight or tomorrow. If it doesn't, I'll contact Online Support and see if I can get it fixed.
Until then, you can view and download my items here. (some of the downloads in that link include stuff that people have credited me on by the way).
More blogs coming soon!!

More Christmas stuff
I have made two more Christmas themed items, a bush with flsshing lights, and a candycane fence with flashing lights. Still have some work to do on the bush, then hopefully a few more things so i can have a set when i upload
Georgian Townhouse Photos
So! Here's a few of photos of the exterior of the Georgian Townhouse. The house was designed for bluemuffin's "So Many Sims, So Little Space" challenge in the forums so it will accomodate a family of eight. That said, it only has one staircase and unless you're someone who enjoys micro-managing Sims, I'd keep the numbers down a bit - otherwise you'll have many a Sim standing around waving because someone else is on the stairs...Here's an overview of the lot:

A close up of the roof terrace:

The pool area (it's an aquarium-style pool which can be seen from the gym inside):

The basement gym looking out onto the pool:

More photos coming soon!
WinterWonderland Theme
Two small sets of walls for the FA theme week, Winter Wonderland. Blessings and wishes to you all for a healthy, happy holiday and a happy new year.
Vintage Victorian Typewriter, Dec. 17th
My Vintage Victorian Typewriter set is scheduled for release on December 17th. The set includes 2 new mesh files, base game & OFB typewriters. The mesh files are basic black typewriters, and each typewriter has 5 decorative recolors.
The 5 recolor are antique white, red, jade (green), bronze, and vintage blue. The typewriters are fully animated, the cd tray slides open and your Sims can pop in a cd. A special thanks to MoonlitMaiden for the wonderful suggestion.
Merry Christmas and Happy Simming!
Update
Ok, so I'm finally going to update. I'll start off with some floors and walls and then go from there. I haven't made anything new in a long while but I still haven't uploaded everything I have made from before. Hopefully everything will work fine even for those with Pets.Enjoy!

Snowflakes
Next to festive hairstyles, warm indoor clothing has been the second most popular choice with those who have taken my poll, so I decided to re-colour my Autumn cardigans in festive shades and also to create some matching skirts. The Snowflakes collection comprises eight festive mix and match items: 4 tops and 4 bottoms. The top consists of a snug cropped cable knit cardigan worn over a contrasting cotton top with snowflake embroidery. The bottom half consists of a cosy woollen skirt worn with trendy diamond patterned black opaque tights and black leather knee high boots with silver buckles.
Both top and bottom use a standard Maxis mesh (the top half requires Nightlife). Neither mesh originally had a bump map so I added bump maps by following Morague's excellent tutorial at MTS2 .

All items can be worn by adults and young adults.
Merry Christmas!
Georgian Townhouse Set
The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that this week's Georgian Townhouse looks rather similar to the Georgian Graduate Starter (which will be available for download on Sunday, btw). I've built three versions of that lot, each one progressively larger than the last. This lot is the largest of the three. Hopefully, (if I can pull it off, lol) there will be a set of all three available shortly. Now, of course if I'd thought on, I could have shown you a photo of the middle-sized townhouse here and it would all have made much more sense. But sadly, I didn't ;-)So instead, I shall bombard you with photos of the large Georgian Townhouse. There are quite a few to come - not least because this lot took me a loooong time. You have been warned!
Hmm... the best laid plans.... it seems I can't upload photos at the moment (maybe because of the site upgrades) so I shall post this for now and return with pics soon. Bye!
Holiday
Leaving for our xmas trip soon. Can't wait to see my family. I'm debating whether or not to upload a set of swim wear for teens before I go. I just can't decide. Maybe I'll just keep them until spring? Hmmm? Whatcha think? Anyone have teen sims in need of new swim wear?Christmas Tree and Living Room
Sorry for the inactivity the past week or so, I've been busy with this evil christmas tree project. It's been alot of work but overall it was fun, and i think i will do a few other animated chistmas 'flashy' things for Christmas.
And i have a preview of what i have done so far on my Kalhiti Living Room (including the window ^.^)...
Nice comments
Thank you all for your nice comments. They realy makes me want to create more.I have so little time to spend on this. I would like to thank you all for your nice comments here and in PMs and on objects, but I use the time to create and I hope you will se that as a thank you :).
Of course there will be red baubels and golden garland for the Christmas tree!
Rusty Thanks
So, why hasn't anyone thanked me for my rusty old pipes and such?WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?! If you're not careful, I shall start making pretty flowered table cloths instead. THEN you'll be sorry!
(won't you?!)
Of course, I would thank me. But no matter how many times I sit here clicking 'thank the artist', it keeps retorting with "you cannot thank yourself!"
Hmph! Still, not giving up yet. Onwards with my clicking endeavours!
Naturally, all this is said in good humour and I'm not really expecting you to give a weary sigh and then go click 'thank the artist' on all my creations. No, I'm really not. Really! But, if you want to, well....... (heh)
A Few Screenies
A few screenshots of my current project, which is a recolor of my Victorian Inspired Study set.
What Grinds My Gears...aka step on soapbox.
Yep you guessed it, this blog entry is about something that ticks me off.I have said many times that I love request, and to be honest I really do. I have made some really great stuff because of requests I have gotten. So by all means keep them coming.
But what gets me is folks know how to start, either in my guest book or in a PM. They always start off great, like there is a formula:
1)Compliment the artists many creations
2)Always begin with if your not too busy
3)Ask for the request
4)tell them how much it will mean to you.
Now they may not go in that order, but those are the basic points that everyone seems to follow.
But what gets my goat, is that once I am done with the request, I never hear from that person again.
Now not everyone is like that. Take GodessofWar1022, She is always very nice with the asking for the request, but afterwards she makes me know she really appreciates what I have done. Thank you GodessofWar1022, you make requests worth it.
Now I'm not saying you folks should gush over what I have done, but some form of acknowledgment would be nice. Maybe a comment on the item, or an entry in my guest book if I did the request. Either of these would really make it worth it.
And just to let everyone know, I am keeping a list of folks that don't do the follow up. This doesn't mean I will never do a request for you again, but your will go on the back burner until I have nothing else to do.
So if you want me to take your requests seriously, and you have many you might want, do the follow up. As an artist it makes it worth it trust me.
And that's what grinds my gears.
(Gets off soapbox.)
