It's Alive!
My burnt out computer, that is! *cackle*I don't know how or why but suddenly this evening I had the sudden curious urge to turn on my computer, which I seemed to have burned out a month ago now, just for kicks to see what would happen and by gosh and by golly, it loaded! Needless to say I scrambled to finally make backup copies of all my necessary documents (that naturally are far too important to lose and thus are never backed up :P ) onto a separate drive. So far the only thing I've lost are my Netscape bookmarks, which is unfortunate but not the end of the world (yet).
I am so stoked! I've made copies of all my dearly missed textures and other TWS materials to my memory stick so that should the ol' girl get fickle with me again, I'll have my goodies at hand to keep creating easily on our second machine. Expect new stuff shortly! ;)
New Fireplace
I have uploaded a new fireplace mesh, this will need special installation the same as modular stairs, you will need to add text to the fireplace text file found in your base game folder...please read the installation instructions thoroughly to avoid mistakes and disapointment.....enjoy
Lafenetre Classic
I'm working on a few more windows, Lafenetre style. They have a typical window design so I named them Lafenetre Classic. Just like all my Lafenetre windows, these ones will also be linked to the original Maxis Lafenetre window and use all its colors. Look for them in my Calendar next week.
To speed up your game load
To speed up your game load, remove the intro movies from the game folder. The two movie files are located in "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Movies" folder. Just delete both files there, but not the subfolders. The files to delete (or remove) are:_ealogo_audio.movie
_intro_eng_audio.movie
To skip the neighborhood movie that you get when you load Pleasantview, Strange Town, or Veronaville, rename the neighborhood while you are in neighborhood selection screen. The fly-over-hood movie never starts afterwards.
Both methods not only save you from pressing buttons to bypass the movies, they also save time because the game doesn't need to load the movies.

This is so exciting, we now have Polls on our minisites! I put up my first poll today and I'm really looking forward to the results. Sometimes I feel like making everything and can't make up my mind on what direction to go in, so I thought I would ask you what direction you would like to see me go in. Right now I'm trying to decide if I should start with Medieval creations, Christmas creations, or some day to day contemporary creations. My mind is spinning with ideas! LOL! Well, I finally reached 500,000 downloads. Half a million. Sounds like a lot until I look at some of the FAs. Their downloads are in the many, many millions. I have a long way to go. Coulee Swamp: Tallboys' Place
Oh Ladies! Mandalay Tallboys, of Coulee Swamp could just be every woman's dream of the 'perfect' man! Handsome beyond words, charming and a body to-die-for, he also is all man and can fix just about anything. Single and happy he spends his days repairing items for the residents of Coulee Swamp. You would be amazed at how many things need fixing by the ladies of Coulee Swamp! Mandalay is new to Coulee Swamp. He blew in about a year ago and no one knows what his past may contain. Truthfully, no one cares where he came from or what he has done, but they all (especially the women) want him to stay. Mandalay Tallboys:

Simtomatic's Sanita Bathrm Recolors
Okay, back to the mission furniture matches. I decided to recolor Simtomatic's Sanita Bathrm in all the woods. Yes, all 12 of them. So, Look for them, approximately 1 every wk to 10 days. More tutorials - Waterslides
I've been working out how to build waterslides in all the different versions of the game! Oh what fun!!!!!!!!Well, it has been, really. But it is much more complicated than I'd realised! :lol: So the next couple of tutorials will be on waterslides and pools. I'll post some pics very soon. ;)
No Care Aquariums
Not exactly new objects, just some heavily modified existing ones! I created a new version of both Maxis aquariums, the one that doesn't require feeding or cleaning and even stops a maid from that endless-cleaning-loop bug. The aquariums are fully animated and will use all the colors of the originals. The large saltwater aquarium requires Pets EP. Testing is going well so far, hope to release them this week.

Dizzy
Fun and just crazy enough, that your Sims will think this wallpaper is staring at them. I know when recreating it, I thought that it kind of reminded me of those little press-on eyes, where the pupil used to swirl around in its casing. Remember those? Do they still make them? Anyway ... Coulee Swamp: Mignon's Place
Every community has a wealthy family. Coulee Swamps most affluent family are the Mignons. Etienne and Endine Mignon control all the commerce for miles around. No one is quite sure what happened to Etienne last spring, he went out to get the morning newspaper and hasn't been seen since. One of the major perils of living by the swamp is, of course, the alligators and while rare, people have been known to disappear without a trace. Endine is shown below in a recent photo peering out into the swamp hoping for a sign that Etienne may still be alive. Luckily Endine still has her widowed daughter, Chantel, at home and her 2 teenage grand-daughters, Mimi and Fleur, to keep her company.
Some interior photos of the house .... and a special thank you to gatomurphy here at TSR! I used a number of her wallcoverings inside of Mignon's House because they are so beautiful and they added that special touch to the structure.
Kilts Superset for St Andrew's Day
November 30th is St Andrew's Day. For those of you who don't know, St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, where I live. To celebrate, I have pulled together all the various kilts I've made this year into one big superset. This should make it easier for downloaders, who will now be able to find all my kilts in one place. I've also added one new kilt to the superset, in Cameron tartan. However, to be clear, this superset contains only one new item. 13 of the 14 items are already available at TSR. The 14 tartans I've used are: Alexander, Black Watch, Cameron, Crawford, Irish National tartan (request), MacBeth, MacDuff, MacFarlane, MacLean (request), Hunting MacLean (request), Maxis (based on the Maxis Sims 1 kilt), Scottish National tartan, Wallace and Welsh National tartan.
All kilts come complete with sporran, sgian dubh (dagger), kilt hose, matching flashes, lace-up ghillie brogues (shoes), & belt buckle with thistle motif. The Scottish kilts have a thistle or lucky heather buttonhole, the Irish kilt has a shamrock brooch and the Welsh kilt has a daffodil buttonhole. The kilts appear under formal wear in the game. All can be worn by male adults. Some are also available for young adults. All use a standard Maxis mesh.

Playful Puppies released Nov. 19th
"Playful Puppies" Victorian Inspired Nursery collection scheduled for November 19th.I'm on a roll, and working on another recolor of my nursery meshes. I always ask my 13 years old niece for her opinion on my sets. She is a HUGE fan of the Sims 2 game, but she seldom uses my creations in her game. My niece loves modern furniture, LOL! Although she is enjoying my vintage nursery sets, and even requested a nursery recolor for her Sims toddler.

Catastrophe!
Well, I'm having to spend all of my energy this weekend trying to fix my computer. Somehow a couple of files became so corrupted that I couldn't even boot the computer. So, I've scrubbed my harddrive and am in the process of installing a new OS and making sure that all good things are happening. It will take a while for me to get everything back in order INCLUDING gathering some of my files. I've lost some minor things, but not that much. So not that bad. I've got to scan my peripheral drives and make sure they are okay. I don't have a clue why this happened. I found no viruses when I was able to scan it yesterday. :(Coulee Swamp: Tia Dalma's Place
Tia Dalma is Coulee Swamp's resident healer (some folk say she's more of a 'witch', than healer). People seek her out usually in the dead of night to barter for a potion or in some cases a curse. Cryogenic Freezer Beds
I recently needed a very special custom object for my Soup Legacy story here on TSR, and ended up spending most of a day throwing together a freezer bed. This is a fairly fast and dirty job, but overall I liked how it turned out and decided to make it publically available for the rest of the mad story tellers to gloat over and use. If I have time, I may make a "Mark II" version of it, with more details and better texturing, and based on the vampire coffin so that it can actually open and close. Saddly sims currently just kind of crawl right through the sides of this one! Of course, so would you - it's COLD in there!
Snapdragon Slideshows
Here we go - links to slideshows of the two Snapdragon lots:Simply Snapdragons (OFB lot) is the business lot full of Snapdragons for your Sims to buy and own. Don't sell them all at once! Wait until your Sim has hired someone to make some more or has learned to do so themselves! There are also a few other flowers set on trays in the little garden for Sims who may visit the shop but are not wealthy enough to afford Snapdragons. BTW, the flower-making machine (can't remember its name!) is hidden away around the back of the house, along with a couple more Snapdragons.
And Snapdragon Starter (Home Business) is, as the name suggests, a small starter home business. The shop already has a few daisy bouquets on the shelves and there are four Snapdragons hanging about the house / shop to keep your Sims' moods up, too. This starter also has a small second bedroom so it's suitable for a small starter family.
Both lots should be on the site by the middle of next week. They'll be available as a set or individually :-)

Okay, I'm still playing with the Damien hair... but onwards...I've done some recolors of one of SunAir's dresses that I think are quite pretty and I think about 4 recolors of Kavar's Vintage hair.
If I am not too tired I'll probable upload some of these tonight.

The double-sided glass tiles! Woot! They're released! Yes, they're REALLY double-sided and so they're great for glass roofs and conservatories. And if you've had the wisdom to download Tiko's simple Glass Domes tutorial, guess what you can do with these tiles!

Antique Lace
For my latest set I've reverted to my old favourite, Rosemat's Giverny mesh from Pronupsims. Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Rosemat! There are some beautiful new items at Pronupsims to celebrate their 4th anniversary - definitely worth a look.My new set comprises 10 delicate formal gowns in silk and antique lace embellished with sequins. The gowns have stylish crossover straps at the back and a short lace train. This set was inspired by a Sue Wong gown. The dresses can be worn by adults and young adults (if you have University installed) and are available in the following colours: gold, salmon pink, rose pink, lilac, ice blue, seafoam, silver, ivory, black and white.
Windowsill
I want the windows to look a little more like home, so I made some windowsills you can use to the windows. They can also be used as a wall shelf. I made them pull the colours from the windows so you always will have matching ones for your windows. They are made for one tile windows.

Whew! I just finished my next Victorian Inspired Nursery set, "Playful Puppies" Collection. It always happen...I start a new Sims 2 project and then "real life" becomes very hectic. I hope to publish the Playful Puppies set very soon. The set includes a few new meshes as well as recolors from the 1st nursery set. Here are a few screenshots of my new set...
Autumn Stuff Mini Pack: Mesh Set
As you probably had seen from the set preview under current projects on the main page, then you'd know that I have begun submitting the Autumn Stuff Mini Pack Sets. Currently, I have only submitted the Mesh Set, but throughout the week I will work on submitting the other sets!Bathrooms

New Story-Sonny's Day
