I have updated the One Tile Dresser Mesh. It no longer requires any expansion packs. I also removed the "open" door animations - now your Sim will simply spin around and change clothes.

Download the updated mesh file and over-write your existing mesh file with it.

Any recolors you have for this mesh will still work.

Baby Doll Nighty Mesh Updated March 21

The animation is much better, the body will not poke through the nighty part during animations anymore.

Random Ranting...

I made a banner. I think it's just a temp thing though... I'm not sure I like it enough to keep it forever.

Anyhoo~ I still haven't made anything new. I've been feeling kind of *blah* lately. I'm not sick or anything but I think my Real Life has simply sucked the life out of me. Things have been more hectic at work lately as I am one of only three managers left for our store plus the Store Manager has had some very serious personal problems and hasn't been there. The other manager only works 2 days a week. *sighs*
Things will be some better after this weekend, hopefully, when the Store Manager returns. *crosses fingers*

I also homeschool my youngest son and have a a home and family to take care of. The fact that I'm somewhat of an insomniac doesn't help either. LOL!

So, yeah... I feel tired and uncreative.

Working on older items

When I enabled bump maps on my computer, I realized there were
some "flaws" in my some of my creations. I'm going through and updating some of the textures. If you have something of mine that you would like, but the bump map is horrible, please let me know so I can fix the file. It's going to be a long process! I'll make a note as I get them reloaded.

Comments!

I have gotten a lot of comments from people on my downloads and I want to say thank you!!! :) Getting good comments makes me feel like my stuff is really good. I really appreciate everyone who has commented my stuff and any other future commentors(if thats's even a word,lol). Sorry for not replying to everyone for their comments, so i decided to make this blog to thank all of those whom did. So thanks a ton again! Have a good one everyone! :D

OFB Set 4 Progression

I have started to make some more progression on the OFB Set 4. I have finally been able to get the mod stairs to work successfully without any problems. My only problem now is getting the fences and halfwall to show up. I will keep working to try to get them to work.

Victorian Inspired Nursery

My next project is a Victorian Inspired Nursery. Creating nursery objects required a bit of research first. I do not play the Sims 2 game often; I start playing and then I am sidetracked when inspiration hits, and I just have to create a new object for the game, LOL! However, to create a nursery I had to play the game to see how different nursery furnishings are animated. I did not know toddlers could be so much fun! My little beta testing baby is sooooo cute! I learned that toddlers could escape their cribs, and many other fun facts. So, after a few fun filled hours of playing the game I started creating nursery objects, a canopied crib, highchair, potty chair, baby mobile, nursery rug, baby bathtub (sink), changing table, etc., and of course a few decorative objects. I really enjoy creating the decorative stuff. I hope to release my Victorian Inspired Nursery soon. I just have to tweak the shadows for each object, (most creator dread this part of object making) but all objects with animation work correctly. Here are a few screenies of some of my nursery objects.

Ghost no longer in the pink!

Oh, how many of you have been cursing me?!

I don't know WHAT went wrong, but some of you said that the 'Grey Lady' ghost was a PINK lady (well, flashing pink square to be more accurate). I'm delighted to say she is now fully repaired and updated (and the filesize is much reduced too!) so please redownload her.

My sincerest apologies for butchering yet another could-have-been-great creation.

At least I'm consistent - guaranteed error in every download, and all that.

Oriental Swatches, College tees and my craziness

Well I used the oriental swatches for another project that's awaiting approval so hopefully that'll be good. Ive been learning alot everytime I do a new set so thats very good. I also uploaded the Big 12 set of the college series, the demo pics came out blurry but the shirts arent blurry in game. Dunno what I did wrong there, but Ill hafta try to figure it out.

On a totally different subject, Im loving pets. Im working on a challenage, but I keep getting totally distracted by my cats.
Im having so much fun with both the challenges and pets!

Anyhow, Ill shush now, ya'll keep on simmin now, and take care.

Need Feedback!

I want to get your input, if you care. I have finished creating (although not uploading or taking pictures for yet, so it is still a ways away) 20 plaid bathrooms to match my 20 plaid sets. My question is this. Would you rather have 20 whole bathroom sets or several sets of 20 objects (20 tubs, 20 toilets, etc.)? Both seem logical so I would rather do whatever the most people would like. Please let me know what you think!

Spooky Ragdoll

workes as a regular doll in game but have a new interaktion. Look at. Do it if you dare! A ghost will appear and then disappear again and the sims will react to it. You need my child ghost for this option to work.

Quick announcment....

Currently, I have downloaded the latest QA release of SimPE. However, I have not been able to get the OFB 4 Mod stairs to work, yet. It very well could have to do with the Numenor's Scriptorium.

However, I have finally had a chance to begin working on trying to make body meshes. I am getting close. I can get it in the game, but I'm having problems with bones, and the body doesn't animate, however, I think I am getting close to the source of the problem, and I hope to have it cleared up soon!

New Neighbourhood :-)

Here's a few extra pics of the Georgian Terrace lot which will be available for download tomorrow. There are four individually decorated houses in the terrace and I had a lot of fun imagining who lived in each one and decorating accordingly :-)

House 1 is home to a widower and his young daughter:



And House 2 is owned by an elderly couple who still have plenty of pizazz (and who like pink!):

And House 4 is owned by a young single DJ who has set up the perfect party venue on the roof:



Of course, these Sims have now selflessly vacated the property, leaving all their belongings behind. I hope your Sims will appreciate this act of generosity and make the most of the opportunity to own this lot!

Bedding and Curtain Sets

Hi Yet again more curtains! I have just added the first few of several bedding and curtain sets. With my passion for curtains and anything else to hang in front of windows, I have come to realise that a bedding recolour plus a Loft Curtain and a Cornerstone Curtain recolour used with the fabulous meshes of: Windkeeper - Perfect Match Curtains, Bitzybus - Matching Bedroom Curtains, which includes my absolute favourite the loft curtain for lower windows and MsBarrows- 19, yes Nineteen, different Curtain meshes ...that all use the bedding texture for the curtain texture, we can have a curtain for every occasion and window! So hence my mini sets of a bedding and loft and cornerstone recolours! Also while I was there I have created a pale Ash and Wicker recolour of Windkeeper's Soma Bedroom Set, which I teamed with Curtains to match my Twigg Scroll Carpets.

Venice Bridges

The last of my bridge tutorials (I think, anyway) is on Building a Venice Bridge. (I know it should say Venetian, but not everyone gets the 'big word'!) Almost all the bridges in the stunning city of Venice are built in the same style. And there are hundreds of them, because Venice has no roads, but has hundred of canals. The �cars� are boats � even the ambulances and fire vehicles! So for Sims, the bridge style is great because all the bridges are pedestrian only! They�re for walking on, just like bridges in the Sims2 game. They�re also beautiful. Most bridges elsewhere are either horizontal or curve at all levels. The Venetian style is more elegant because it combines curves and straight lines. Here's the preview pic for the tute:

Hallowe'en Rugs & Lights

I am a rug fanatic. My rugs download folder probably contains more rugs than any other type of object I collect so it's only natural that I make some new rugs with a Hallowe'en feel. :) This is just a small set but it includes three super cute cartoon jack o'lantern designs, a very pretty country design and an adorable black cat doormat design that I'm sure all your new black Hallowe'en themed kitties will love. :P

Also in the queue, you'll find some new festive garland lights with a Hallowe'en twist. I've noticed over the years that these style of lights, traditionally a Yule decoration, have also become popular for Hallowe'en (although why anyone would want to string them up and take them down twice a year is beyond me!) so I decided to make a small set with appropriate colours; including all orange, orange and green and a multicoloured red, orange and gold version.

NOTE: I made these as a direct clone from the garland lights that came with last year's Holiday Stuff Pack (or the Holiday Sims 2 edition) so they may well require either of those game versions to work. Also, you'll find them listed in the Decorative > Wall Hangings catalogue, not under lights - this is where Maxis listed the original lights and I decided to keep them there since users of the Holiday pack should hopefully already be familiar with these objects being in this location.

PUGS by MayLynn55 for YOU!

Greetings, I was not very impressed by the Pug breed that is offered in The Sims 2: Pets, So Katie and I tweaked it until we came up with a Pug that looks like a real Pug. This first one is a female, and I named her Queenie - you can name her whatever you want We hope you enjoy her. ** I will be uploading three (3) more pugs in the next day or so. There will be a male fawn colored pug and a male and a female black pug. NOTE: The only thing I ask is that no one RESUBMIT my Pugs onto this site or any other site - PLEASE!

Jeep Cherokee

I am very excited to have a minisite!!! :D Thank you so much. Well, right now I am currently making a car of mine over again. I made a Jeep Cherokee a long time ago, it was the 2nd car of mine. Since my cars had problems a while ago and were not the best textures, i decided to remake it! I must say, that i have improved a lot on cars since i first started!!! :) Here's a picture of the difference so far, i think you'll be able to tell the difference between which one is better,lol. Please tell me what you think. Thanks! My new car is on the right.

How-to Recolour my 2D Wall Scroll

I've received a few PM's in regards to how to recolour my 2D Wall Scroll mesh. The way I mapped it out allows for the picture to be stretched out in the same way that Maxis walls are stretched out for the game. Before I begin though? Thank you so much for downloading my wall scroll.

How to recolour my 2D Wall Scroll:

1.) First create a 505x833 template. This is the image that will be on the wall scroll.

2.) Paste the picture of what you want on the wall scroll onto that 505x833 template.

3.) Once that is done re-size the 505x833 template to fit onto the 512x512 texture. The part that you are 'squishing' is the picture minus the bars. The bar is the one on the bottom and the cap is to the right of the bar. So you can recolour the bar and cap differently.

4.) Once you copy and paste the 505x833 picture onto the appropriate place on the mesh texture it will fit perfectly in game. No distortion!

Upcoming Wallpapers

Hello Everyone! Late this past summer I was very busy creating wallpapers for the game. I stumbled upon this wonderful website that is dedicated solely to wallpapers from the 1970's. Being the Sims2 Fan that I am, I couldn't resist the urge to recreate some of these wallpapers for the game. Armed with my signature colors, I recreated (or variations of) around 30 of them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Starting with Studio K Cranes. And yes, I'm shocked, amazed and delighted all at once because I was so very much in two minds about whether to submit her. I very nearly didn't (only uploaded her late last night, in fact). The problem was trying to make something 3D out of a 2D graphic - and I wasn't sure whether my attempt was so bad that I should just abandon it along with my haunted tree (now in my recycle bin - trust me: it was BAD).

But the brilliant thing is that you really don't care! You like her anyway. THANK YOU all who have commented; you've made me very happy indeed.

Pet Beds

Yes, I've got Pets! And I love it! lol! It feels good to play again, not sure how long will it last though. Meanwhile I am making a few pet objects as well - one set of pet basket recolors (already published) and one set of expensive pet bed with a new mesh (soon to be published).

Buffy

This week I will be moving my faces for the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer over here from my archive Yahoo group. I am also attempting to finish up some building projects, so that I have some new content to give you as well. I'm not sure how many of those houses I'll actually be able to finish as I am also trying to sew some Halloween costumes for my kids.

Food poisoning

Hi everyone - sorry I've been away from the site for pretty much 2 weeks.

Last Monday was my birthday, and Ruthie has arranged for us to have a celebration break away the week before. I was at TSR briefly on my birthday, then we went out for a meal with friends ..... and I came down with (mild) food poisoning!!! Oh man.

It cleared up after a couple of days, but just left me feeling horrible weak. Anyway - fine now, and another tutorial is on the way. I'll post more in a wee while. :)

Off with it

I made this for anyone thinking of moaning about my creations. As usual, please let it run a few times so that the animation has chance to load in your browser proerly.

Basically, it removes your head. By removing your head, your mouth can no longer utter gripes and whines about why I make rusty pipes instead of wedding dresses.

Bumpity Bump Bump

Well, I've taken another step and learned to enable bump maps. I'm quite embarrassed that I didn't do it when Sophel asked me to. I was just so afraid of it! Every step I've taken in the meshing process has been resistance. At first I didn't think I could even learn to mesh, then I thought I would only do basic meshing, then I thought I'd never figure out uvmapping, now I'm doing bump maps. I feel so chagrined.

Oh and the party went off without a hitch, they were all thrilled, and they'll all be gone in the morning. My hubby had a wonderful time and it was all fine. :)

Snowbound

Two feet of wet snow on trees with leaves makes a terrible devastating scene. Not having heat or electricity, refrigeration, or clean water for six days has made me more appreciative of conveniences and the beauty that was. We were lucky our basement didn't flood, we weren't killed by someone speeding through an intersection with its traffic light out. We were lucky, ten people here weren't, they died. 400,000 people without power... Its a daunting task to restore it when confronted with 10 million tons of tree debris...such a sad scene. These pictures can't begin to show the scope of the damage. Downed wires, a streetlight(gas lantern) that stayed lit, the view of a backyard that will never be as it was. My server is expected to take a month to have restored. I am so glad to be here and despite all this, I still love winter. Stay warm. judi

Well, I did it again

I found some oriental prints this time... and I learned how to play with the dress a little also.. Hopefully ya'll will enjoy the results. I think they came out REALLY sexy sexy sexy!!

Plus they have the bright colors, so ya know I love em!

Challenges are Fun

I've been taking a break from creating and doing a couple of the challenges. I'd forgotten what it was like to play without cheats. Quite a challenge. And a fun change of pace. Hopefully, my creative juices will start flowing again soon. But not to worry. I have enough of a backlog to keep them coming!

Autumn Ruffles & Lace For Teens

My second set inspired by Windkeeper's Teen Ruffle Skirt mesh comprises four cute ruffle skirts for teen girls and five complementary cosy cardigans ideal for Autumn.



Again, the skirt textures are based on my Ruffles & Lace skirts for little girls, most of which were inspired by the beautiful patchwork skirts at Peace By Piece.

The tops are based on standard Maxis teen tops, originally jackets, re-textured to become cosy cable knit cardigans.

Thanks to Windkeeper for permission to use her skirt mesh.
