Gone
I'll be out of touch for a few days, so if I don't reply right away it's because I am unable. Take care and I'll check back in as soon as I can.Back Again
Short trip. Good to be back home. I'm not much for travelling. Thanks to everyone who left such nice comments. I appreciate it!Keroppi Sets
|
Hi all, I have two sets coming up. They are Keroppi Kids set and Keroppi Nursery set. All are recolors of my Honey Bee set meshes. Please be remind that if you already have the Honey Bee Dresser installed, download the mesh again. Since I have made an update of it, now the glass door is able to be recolored. If you download the keroppi recolor, you must re-download the main mesh. This update doesn't affect the existing honey bee dresser recolors you have installed. So you don't need to download the recolors again. Hope you like these new sets! :D Happy Simming! |

Girls Ruffle Skirt
I'm having lots of fun working with bodymeshes! lol! This next one is a new ruffle skirt for girls. Since there aren't that many kids meshes at TSR, I figured I would continue creating for kids while inspiration lasts :)
Thanks for the comments!
Hi everyone!I just wanted to thank you all for the very nice comments you sent me! It's a real pleasure to know that you appreciate my work and the time I spend on it. I would like to thank each of you individually, but it would take me a lot of time, too! (aren't we all missing time in our life? :) )
I hope you will keep loving my next creations too :) I have two new set I'll be uploading soon : one has a spring-summer look, it's called "Striped Candies", and it's striped shirts with jean skirts. The other set is called "Casual Date", and it's a sweet top with dark pants, I'm pretty happy with those two last sets :)
So once again thanks everyone, bu sure I read each and everyone of your message :)
Sept. '06 - working on Sesame Street Grow-Up set & extras. Hopefully, will be done this month. Not feeling too good, so I am a little slower than usual. Hope you Enjoy!
My Number 1 Fan...
If you were expecting me to egotistically extol the fact that I'd found a person who liked my idiotic creations, then you'd be wrong (there are several out there who do!). No, the fan I refer to (yes, another glib blog title) is here. You'll need to wait for the page to load, and note that the animation in-game is much quicker and smoother than the web graphic shows. For those who hate clicking on links defined by nothing other than the word 'here', it's a 2-tile industrial window with a huge, rotating fan in it. The graphic image posted at the link is not brilliant, but that is the web for you: squash it up, mangle it, shake it about a bit, then display the tattered result in the hope that you will still be impressed.
I expect this will be slotted in with the aforementioned vents and shafts.
Coming Soon...
I had another request for the Chess Table to be recolored in Mission Style Furniture Wood. So, I have done it plus the pool table, card table, dart board, and Windkeeper's Round Working Clock (VERY Cool in game). Also, did some little extra recolors in additional set. (Original Maxis, My Recolors of Wood and Bamboo) Hope you like!Victorian Inspired Kitchen Part IV
I hope to publish my next set, Victorian Inspired Kitchen, Part IV (4) within a few days. I am not sure how many more sets I will create for my Victorian Inspired Kitchen series.Creating objects and furnishings for the kitchen is a lot of fun, each day I am inspired to create something new for the series. Additionally, I hope to create a few more large appliances for the kitchen. As always, thanks for your comments and feedback on my Victorian Inspired Kitchen series. I really appreciate it!
Metropolitan Bedroom
Better late than never, the Metropolitan makes its debut after the Posh theme week closes out. Nevertheless, if you've been enjoying outfitting your Sims with high class furnishing then you're sure to want this set.Truth be told, I've had the texture I used for the bed linens in this set for ages and kept trying to nag myself to make something of it but never found just the right bedroom set to do so. After spying a request in the Objects forum for a black version of the GLS luxury bedroom, I realized that this was the bedroom set I'd been holding out for to use this texture. :)
All main furniture objects require the Glamour Life Stuff Pack and you will need the current version of CEP updated to support GLS to enable the recolours for the table lamp and painting. The wonderful curtains are from MangoSims and I've been dying to recolour these for ages as well. Lastly, if you fell in love with that gorgeous black shag rug, you can snag it from Simaddict99's minisite and I also recommend Windkeeper's spacesaver dresser shelf (FFS Dragon's Horde version) so you can set objects on the dresser at the appropriate height.
New body mesh for boys
Another body mesh, boys pants and vest. Work in progress. I borrowed some Maxis t-shirts for this mesh, he-he! Hope that recolors by others will follow.
Whites
Another new moulding, this one pretty plain with just a touch of fancy and my new favorite deep kick.. I made 36 walls in solid, up- to-date paint colors. Matching tiles will be available for each color. I will upload them in groups over the next three weeks or so. Here's the first set with Pink, Thistle, Rouge and Plum.
What's Been Up...
I've been very busy working on the Autumn Stuff Mini Pack. I am hoping to get it completed by 9/23. However, it looks like I may not be able to meet that deadline. However, I will try to have it finished by the end of the month. Once I have that all uploaded to the Yahoo! Group, I will finish submitting my neighborhoods I created for here, and I will upload the exclusive TSR Autumn Stuff Set. All the Autumn Stuff Set objects will be exclusive to TSR and will not be available at my Yahoo! Group.Now... for my current projects. These will not be submitted until October...
1. 4 TS2 Neighborhoods
2. Winter Wall Set
3. Couple's Cottage
4. Autumn Stuff Set
5. Autumn Stuff Lots (2)
That's about all there is to say right now. I'll keep blogging to let you all know where I'm at and what's up.
Alpha Part Mania
You know, ages ago people were requesting that I write a tutorial on Alpha Meshes. Well, I wasn't very good at getting them to work right AND the process that I used was very time consuming. NOW, the process is much easier and I've found ways to make it work without assigning each vertice manually--mainly because the regroup feature doesn't vape all assignments any more. Wes H is such a genius! Anyway, I'm on a alpha mesh mania. All of the meshes that I wanted to do forever, but at first weren't feasible or secondly, I didn't have time to assign several hundred vertices! lol So, look for more alpha meshes from me.
Curtains
I am slowly putting the new toy for toddlers together (Its a climb toy) But in the meantime I made a new curtain. Its a little bigger than the other I made. Its a 1-tile curtain but takes up a little more space than 1 tile. I wanted a more cosy look. The cloth is my table cloth I made a long time ago
The art of good pictures
Do you upload your work here? If so, you might be like me and DREAD the moment of putting the set together. Don't get me wrong: it's fun creating, but I can end up with a hard drive full of creations and find myself starting another rather than uploading what I've already got.The problem? Putting together nice screenshot pictures. But there are some people SO good at it that they've turned it into an art form. I want you to check out My_Sims_Reality whose work is, put simply, breathtaking. Her primary portfolio of art can be found at at this site and a few more in the screenshots section of her TSR profile too.
Please go look, be astonished and then hide away your own sorry attempts under a mat. At least, that's what I'll be doing!
Work in progress - Waterfront Doors
Finally got around to finish the doors matching my Waterfront windows. There will be a solid door, a double door (see the pic), and a glass arched door. Also matching archways. This is a style from real life, and most of those doors come with white frames and darkwood door. I made my doors the same way, but the other colors will be included as well. And since the frame and the door can be selected separately, you will have lots of color combinations :)
Princess Diana finale
This week's project is the last set of fashions for Princess Diana. I'm hoping for about 10-12, depending on how much time I have this week. As always previews will be added as I complete the fashions.

Shafted!
So, what is Camp Stupid bringing to you next?Well, the (tasteless as usual) title should give you a clue. Vents and shafts! I spent a delightful few hours making grill windows and matching shafts, and then parked myself in one of the shafts to watch my Sims from there. It was strangely satisfying.
My partner looked over my shoulder at the completed masterpieces (my phrase, but I'm sure that if you know me and my temper, you know you'd best agree) and said: "But what are they for?"
What are they for?!! What are they FOR??!!!!! Actually, I have NO idea and, because I couldn't answer, I parked myself right back in the circular shaft to watch my Sims have a pillow fight.

The grilled windows work with or without shafts, and each shaft piece is simply a decorative item that will allow you to make shafts of any length and direction. I've been having great fun connecting different buildings (for no purpose whatsoever).
I have no idea when they'll be out. Well, it'll be October, but I haven't compiled my curved walls and series of Airlock extendable windows into sets yet. I need a TSR Upload Secretary. Should I advertise for one here? The advert would read something like: "Must be good at taking in-game pictures that hide all the glaring faults and to invent amazing descriptions that will cajole people into downloading despite the relative uselessness of each item."
American Football Jerseys Set 3
Here is my third set of American football jerseys. I was asked to make jerseys for the following teams: Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, New York Giants and New York Jets (hope you like them Kenneth, Trey and Stacey!). I particularly like the jaguars on the sleeves of the Jacksonville jerseys. They're probably meant to be menacing but I think they're cute!
Again, these are tops only, for adult and young adult males and use a standard Maxis mesh, so they will work with any version of the game with or without expansion packs.
Also, I installed Nightlife recently and for some reason I could no longer see bump maps (i.e. the 3D texture of the clothing). If you can't see bump maps these tops will look awful. It's quite easy to fix. Take a look at this thread:
Help with seeing BumpMapped Things In-Game
Also make sure you have your game graphics set to high quality if possible.
Back to College
Today I enrolled in a new college course on Illustration which starts in a couple of weeks.I cant wait to get started,I enjoy learning far more now than I did in my younger years.Lol not that I am that old, yet!I will still be creating things for TSR,as normal.Creations are a little bit slower in coming at the moment, because I am in the thick of learning the meshing process.A late starter in that, as many creators and fellow FA'S are well established in meshing already.Initially when I first tried, it frustrated me so much I completely lost interest.Right now I cant stop making meshes,I am testing my first 2 objects before I upload. The rest will come much later, when I have better experience and know how.I am fussy with my creations and wont submit until I am completely happy with it.
I dont know where this new found enthusiam for meshing has come from, but right now I cant seem to leave it alone.
THANK-YOU!
Thank-you! to all of you who have shown me support by downloading my items and leaving me comments! I wish I had time to thank you individually. I want you to know that I really do appreciate it and it gives me incentive and motivation to upload more of my recolours and wall papers.I'm really excited about this Mini-Site. I've even designed my self a new logo! I'm currently working on preview images for recoulours of the 4x4 Chadelier and as soon as they are done I will upload them
Until then,
Mel
~Proud to be TSRAA!~
Content?
Well, have you seen it yet? There's a fabulous new tab-button plonked in my mini-site (next to the Downloads tab) called CONTENT. Click on it and you'll find links to all my tutorials like the I-have-never-created-anything-before guide to recolouring modular stairs (yes, you really CAN make your own modular stairs - no experience necessary) and the hugely popular tutorial on creating skylight windows in roofs.
You wanna see it without bothering to click the tab? Well, click here then.
Additional Tutorials
OK, so now we're up and running - thanks Maaike!!!
Over the next week or two I'll be publishing a range of building tutorials in TSR format - I hope you find them useful.
Some will be re-formats of my web-page tutorials, some will be completely new to TSR.
And thanks for reading this! ;)
Andy
Okay, I guess I fibbed a little but I had a request to recolor the piano in the Mission Style Furniture. So I did, to match Maxis & My Recolors and Bamboo.
About me...
Okay, so I know that you all know me, but there's a couple of things I may have failed to mention--or I may have talked about it too much. If you feel the latter, avert your eyes until I'm through. ;) I'm married with 2 teen boys. I work in a super hip hotel in super laid-back Seattle -- but don't get any ideas that I'm super or hip. I'm an accounting nerd. But the point is I get really busy and have very little time for my most favorite thing--making meshes and textures for Sims 2! I know I've said this part before. I'm sorry I don't respond to comments as often as I should, but I skim them all the time and I love seeing all of the feedback! And I try to leave them as "unread" until I can get some free time to respond! And now that winter is coming, I should have more time to mesh and play and respond!
PS This is a detail of my very favorite Eva Gonzales painting!
Clouds of Tulle
I took one of my meshes that is at TS2Creations and, having finally figured out how to make a alpha mesh that isn't invisable from one side, I remade the mesh to look better. I was just going to update the mesh, but the recolors looked bad with the new sheer backing--because of the alpha layers of course. SO, I made a whole new one and fixed up the fat state while I was at it! The alpha part looked strange when fat. It's due for release Tuesday here, along with six dresses!New body mesh for girls
I'm working on a new mesh for girls - babydoll top and pants. If all goes well, this would be my first body mesh, if you don't count my Moo-Moo family which was just a scaled down version of an adult mascot mesh.
How about a date whilst I'm waiting?
I'm still (STILL!) waiting for that mug! HOURS have passed by and no mug!So, whilst boredly waiting, I thought I'd give you some dates for your diary (that is: if, like me, you have one of those empty diaries with nothing to add to it)...

MarbleBead Frames
In shades of sea greens, a new white mottled marble frame for the Posh FA theme, I hope you like it
.
Snap of fingers
I want a TSR mug. Someone see to it please. Immediately.Back in the Saddle
Hello, folks - I'm back and ready to go again!A big thank you to everyone for your understanding and support while I was away. I'm looking forward to jumping back into TSR life again and while there will be a short period of my playing catch-up, you can expect more coming from me in the very near future. I'll be off later today to pick up my copy of Glamour Life, then I'll finally be able to post some recolours of Windkeeper's wonderful clock meshes for your enjoyment. And finally, I have a couple of grand staircase recolours planned, which I should hopefully be able to squeak into this week's Posh Sims theme. I'll keep you posted.
OakFrames
For the Posh theme. I'm continueing to make new images for walls. They seem to fit this theme and my taste. let me know what you think
Simaddict Blind Recolours
How can you tell I'm addicted to window dressings?!? More recolours of things to hang up at the windows. I love the blind but realised I wanted more choices, so I just had to make some and share.
And more reinforcements...
I couldn't make a nice girders and joists set for you without providing a bit of scaffolding! All the pieces featured here (crossbars, netting, etc) can all share the same tiles without needing any cheat codes. The only bar to prevent Sims walking through is the middle horizontal pole. And, just like the girders, the vertical scaffold pole is a column and can be built upon!

Offering a little support...
Oh, these titles! If you came here hoping that I'd be solving all your woes, then naturally, you'd be wrong - me being a habitual enjoyer of woes. No, I'm afraid it's just me dallying with words again, for I bring you...
GIRDERS!
Oh, DON'T look at me like that. Look: those vertical girders are columns so you can build on them - isn't that neat?! The horizontal joists are simply decorative pieces.

If you REALLY have no idea why you might want girders, just think of it this way: you will NEVER have to finish a lot again. If you share your lots, you can just build half of it, slap in some girders and badge it as 'under construction' before uploading it! I reckon you could output a hundred lots a day like this.
Finally, I thought I'd add these to the up-and-coming 'Posh' theme - what do YOU think?!
Poshy
A new direction in paneled walls. The hand building takes alot longer, but I think they have turned out well and are suitable for the posh theme. I am going to try many different variations of this theme. Please tell me what you think...
New Mesh for Men
I've made a new mesh for men. Inspired by Elvis and for the Posh sims theme. Hope you all approve.
FA Theme Week
*Adding pics* I'm taking a brief break from the Princess Diana skins to work on some items for the September FA Theme week. The theme is Posh Sims, and it is a salute to the fashion industry. I am looking at making a couple of High Fashion outfits for those with Superstar, and also some faces of famous models. If I have time I might do a Studio Town lot or two, but that is only if time permits. I will finish up Princess Diana next week. I'll be posting my Theme Week previews as I get things completed.Edit: I decided that I would do a mix of current and past models. So some of these names will be "blasts from the past", so to speak.
Edit#2: Well, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to get to the High Fashion outfits or the Studio Town lots. This week is getting really busy with real-life activities, so I'll only be doing model faces. I have a lot of faces prepped, so I hope you all won't be too disappointed. The outfits that I wanted to do will be completed at a later date.
