Fort Bartonby
I've already hopefully whet your appetite for my newest community lot - Fort Bartonby, a medieval trading village. You might be interested in knowing a few more tidbits about it while it processes through the queue. Speaking of the queue, release date is this Friday, July 28'06.I didn't end up adding anything additional to the lot, mostly because it is already built on the smallest size large lot and the building architecture is rather intricate and I was worried about the lot running slowly on people's machines. So, if you have a high-end machine and wish to add more details, I would suggest any of CycloneSue's wonderful medieval & Middle Ages creations and Windkeeper's water troughs, chickens, etc. would be great additions. However, if you have a low-end machine and still really want to play this lot without sluggish performance, start by removing some of the cash registers to reduce the number of NPCs generated, then decide if you need to remove objects.
Lastly, if you decide to add Fort Bartonby to your medieval neighbourhoods and wish to retain as much accuracy as possible, you will likely want to remove the sidewalk and road tiles so as to reveal the more period-realistic terrain painting I've done underneath. Read the installation instructions for complete info on how to do this if you're not already familiar with the routine. ;)
I'll be away for a bit.
It looks like real life is rearing her ugly head and I may be away for a couple weeks. Hopefully the time away will give me plenty of new, fresh ideas. In the meantime, happy simming! :)Rug fringes
As requested by my fellow featured artist jsf (Judi). Rug fringe is a new object designed to add fringes to existing rugs. I had the mesh completed but it required the use of a cheat code since the rugs come in different sizes. This bugged me a little, and our beta testers echoed the same concern, so I pulled the set back and will work on it more.

Too hot!!
Well, Seattle is in the midst of a heat wave. I know that 95 degrees is nothing for a lot of the USA, but it is for Seattle. We just don't have the AC units or the stamina to function for long periods in this heat. I lived in Vegas for years 110+ heat... with air conditioning. Anyway, I've been working on a killer teen mesh, but will have to take a break from it. I'm too hot to concentrate and there's a problem getting it to show in the game. Cooler weather will be here next week and I'll be able to finish it then. Tonight, I'm giving up the mesh process (only during this insufferable heat) and I'll do some recolors! I'm actually inspired to do another mesh... it will probably be easy... hmmmm... Plus sized bathing costume anyone??? Meanwhile, our hearts are still on the beach in Florence, Or.
Reflective floor tiles
It's 2am and gone here and way past my bedtime.I wanted to get my set of Reflective Floor tile recolors uploaded before daylight. As they are a request I was anxious to get them completed. Forgive me if none of this makes any sense. There will be a couple more sets to follow the Colormix set in a day or to.I have created a bathroom recolor from Bitzybus Pentago bathroom using 2 shades of the reflection tiles and couldn't really upload it until I have the Colormix set published.
When joining these tiles together you will notice a very slight line in them, which I'm afraid there is nothing much I can do about fixing it.I dont think it spoils the look of the floor though.

Taking a break this week
Hey folks, I just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a small break this week. I've been cranking out a lot for TSR lately, and I miss having time to actually play my game. Plus I haven't updated my Yahoo group in almost 4 months, so I'd like to finish up the set of faces that I'm working on so I can post an update there(this set was also a request from a member so I'm sure she would like me to complete the set too). Not to mention the tons of downloads that are sitting on my computer, waiting for me to sort through them to see which I want to use in my game. That is why I have decided to take this one week break.I will be submitting a couple of things, but I'm not sure what those will be yet. I have a ton of stuff sitting on my computer that is half done, so I'm taking this opportunity to finsh off a couple of those. I'll post back later with more info and pics when they are done.
I'm also using this one week break to sort through inspiration pics and get some prep work done on the next few projects that I'll be submitting here to TSR. In no particular order, those will include...a set of skins for girls based on the Marley Wentworth dolls by Robert Tonner, a set of skins for full-figured women based on the Emme dolls inspired by the plus-size model Emme and made by Robert Tonner, a set of skins for males based on the Matt O'Neill dolls by Robert Tonner, and of course I'll be going back to some Barbie fashions at some point. So this week will really help me get ready for the many projects that I have lined up, and help me decide in which order I want to tackle them.
More Kitty Collier
*Adding yet another pic* I was hoping to get more Kitty Collier fashions done last week, but time ran out. Plus I found a bunch more pics from the archives section at the Tonner Doll Company site that I decided I wanted to try. So this week I'll be continuing with the Kitty Collier fashions. Faces are included with the fashions. That was another thing that contributed to fewer items being completed last week...I had to do the face construction too. The basic face is done, so all I have to do now is just find the right hairstyle mesh to use. Preview pics to be added as I complete the fashions.

Forthcoming
My blog's been pretty quietly lately, I know. Truth be told, the sharks burned me out and I needed to recoop by playing the game a bit. :) But no worries, there is more work forthcoming soon.In fact, I took on a request from TS2.com. A gal is doing a medieval Legacy challenge, liked the look of my Farmer's Market and asked if I could do a complete all-in-one medieval community lot for her. I've been working on it this week and it's nearly finished, although I might add some extra tidbits to the version I submit here to TSR. Here's a sneak peak:
I also have more aquarium themed stuff coming when I get this request shelved. Expect more coral colour options (unless I suck at the textures something horrid), educational posters and a completely updated TS2 version of my Swim With the Fishes Aquarium community lot. ;)
New Sets Coming Out
I've got sets of clothes coming out every week through August 9th. Check out the calendar! Tuesday, July 25th--More Mix & Match...Friday, July 28--Farm Girl Finery...Tuesday, August 1--Pink & Denim...Wednesday, August 9th--Garden Party Dresses.Panels
More in the ParkLane series, this time some bright with scroll work and one floral paneled. Hope you like them, feedback appreciated :D
ParkLane Virginia Victorian
Three colors of the same Victorian floral patterned wallpapers with carpets to match. Due to publish August 10th.
Lack of grace
Anyone else would have had the decency to have their little joke and then walk away.I had MY little joke a while back in this very same blog, when I decided to teach Venus a jolly good lesson! This was in response to opening one of my lots and finding it littered with angry Venus statues after a rather too zealous clearout of my downloads folder.
In my total lack of grace towards this more-gracious-than-me sculpture, I haven't walked away from my little joke at all. No, I'm making it worse by parading her in front of everybody. She's being uploaded for everyone to snigger at. Point and laugh at her mid-August or thereabouts.

I STILL maintain that she was asking for it!
Hard Drive Died
Well it finally happened. The Grim Reaper came and took my hard drive a couple of hours ago, and he didn't even let me beg for it's life first! We had a short but intense thunderstorm Wednesday night and it knocked our power out for 20 hours. Here in the Southern United States the day time tempuratures have been reaching above 100 degrees...so we had a rough time. They finally got the power on late Thursday afternoon..and we assumed that everything was going to be back to normal. Well this morning without any warning the power went out again. This time the power company was working on the lines. They only had it off for little less than an hour....but when I went to turn my computer back on....I got the "Master Drive Failed" message. My hard drive was gone!We just happened to have two brand new hard drives from my hubby's old computer just sitting in our guest room...so thankfully we don't have to go buy another one, but it's going to take me awhile to get all my programs, games, and creating tools back up and running. I do have backups for most everything, but there are some programs and such that I will simply have to redownload as I find that I need them. It's going to be at least a week, or more before I have more items to upload. In the meantime I have a new bedroom set that get's published tomorrow. All new meshes! I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back up to full speed as soon as possible.
Sneak Peek...Vintage Victorian Dining
Hi, thanks for all the well wishes, I'm doing much better. I just finished my Vintage Victorian Dining Room set, it should be available soon. Here's a Sneak Peek!
Hoods
I been trying my hand at creating some neighbourhoods, which I will be uploading soon.I had a fabulous fun time creating them,Netseeker2 tutorial is very easy to follow. I couldn't help but make one mistake though,a simple typo mistake which was helpfully pointed out by Netseeker2.I am rather proud of the fact that I still have many things to learn, wouldn't life be dull if there was nothing left to learn? Anyhow it made a change from recoloring and skinning. What next meshing?;)
What next?, well I have had a couple of recolor requests which I will be working on soon. A recolored lounge which I am halfway through.
Nothing is in any particular order at the moment,so what you'll see offered on my pages in the next couple of weeks will be more like a lucky dip than anything.
Updated Meshes with EP Options
Due to several request I decided to make a second version of 4 meshes I've created to allow for new options certain EP's added.Due note that you will have to remove the original no EP required version from your downloads folder for these to work correctly. They will have the identically name with exception to the ending- the new one will have the EP added to it.
example:
SA99-RomanceFenceGateWhiteMESH is the old and
SA99-RomanceFenceGateWhiteMESH-OFBVersion is the new.
the 4 meshes I updated can be foud here:
Medieval Fridge with OFB Make & Make Many options
Romance Gate with OFB Lock options
Trellis Gate with OFB Lock option
Mission add on bookcase with UNI options
all of these will still use any recolors that were created for the original meshes.
Office chairs
While working on an office chair for Aquatic set, I thought that I wouldn't mind to have that type of chair as a stand alone version in my game as well. Interesting enough, I also got two requests for exactly the same thing when set preview was posted in my blog, lol! I took Maxis chair as the base again but this time changed its back rest to have fabric on both side, and of course change the bottom of the chair. Need to add some recolors and it's all set :)
Drawings
I am not at home that much in summer but I am still alive and there will be some new things comming. I thought it was empty on the wall abowe the toddler table. All paintings is hanging to high. Here is the toddlers own drawings on the wall!
Romanesque Stairs
I have just completed matching stairs, rails and posts for the Romanesque wall that shipped with University. The design of these is slimmer than the default one though.
Back from 'tropical retreat' - not!
Just to say we're back from holiday now - I didn't have time ( = forgot) to post a blog before leaving. I'm really sorry if anyone wondered where I was .....
We took Lord Tiko (our Birman cat) to a lakeside retreat for his eleventh birthday. It wasn't tropical - just Cumbria (northen England) - but really sunny and fabulous. He met his first cow.
Mission Furniture
As I guess you can tell by now, I just love the mission furniture. I guess I am old fashioned. I am currently working on new woods (4) and 3 bamboo wood recolors. I also have tropical motif cushions, etc. I am also working on kids items for SA99's mission match furniture... and more...Working on For Him - Den and For Her - Denette. Also to be used in mission style furniture utilizing mine and others wood recolors. I just have too many ideas and working on about 7 different themes at once. My mind just can't sit still. I hope you enjoy all my recolors.
Bedding on the way!
Woohoo! My first set of objects! I'm a late bloomer.. Been wanting to do these for a while, or object recolors of any kind for that matter. Never quite been able to spend the time learning a new process when there was so much on the schedule already. Anyway, I hope you all like this set. I hope to do more object recolors in the future, so I better start practicing! Why Can't a PC Be More Like a Mac?
Well, it seems that I'm having computer problems again. Somehow, suddenly, mysteriously, regardless of the program, when I attempt to start I receive messages that one component or another is missing. Yes, I've scanned and rescanned. I've defragged, rebooted, reinstalled... I've done it all to no avail. A large part of my day was spent on the phone with tech support and no doubt tomorrow will be another.I find myself singing the Lerner and Lowe song "Why Can't a Woman Be More Like a Man?" from My Fair Lady though, in my version it's "Why Can't a PC Be More Like a Mac?" All my life I've been a Mac girl until just recently. I just got tired being 6 months behind PC users to get the newest EP. When Sims 2 came out, I abandoned my trusty, reliable, dependable old friend for a flashy, debonair PC with a twinkle in his eye and a "come hither" smile. He has been nothing but trouble, so I guess this serves me right. It's what I get for my roving eye and unfaithful heart.
So let my sad story serve as a warning to others. It's not so bad being six months behind when everything is working. The old saying that mac users have used for years is true. "PC users do all the beta testing for Macs". By the time a mac user gets the program, most all of the bugs are worked out. Mac users may have to develop patience but they'll be happier in the long run.
Birthday Party Dresses
My latest project is a set of twelve glamorous sparkling sequined strappy dresses ideal for a birthday party. The dress has a bodice top with silver fasteners and a sweetheart neckline, and a sheer skirt with black lace trim at the hem. Worn with sexy black heels. The dress was inspired by a Vollers corset. The mesh required for this dress was created by Biene and is called Tranzparent Rock Mesh (German for transparent skirt, I think). It is available from Sim2-fashion.de and can be downloaded (along with a cute cream top and pink skirt) from the following URL: http://89.149.194.98/sim2-fashion/datenbank/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=455. The dress can be worn by adults (and young adults if you have University installed).New Series
Hello everyone, you probably have seen my new project on the home page of my mini site, it's one of the mesh set of my upcoming new furniture series. I now have finished the studyroom part. They will be published in a few days after I fixed some of the textures. I will make a few more mesh sets for this series, like bedroom, kitchen and livingroom. But, before I make them, I will back to the honey bee series, since one of the member remind me that there are something I've missed; crib and changing table!!
(Thanks tinajean1! How could I pass over such important items?!! |

Baby on the way!
Well I'm sorry, I'm a lousy blogger, guess that is reason why I don't have one anywhere lol! I've been busy with our second round of ivf treatment and am very happy to say that it worked this time! Had my blood test yesterday and was confirmed, will get a follow up blood test the end of this week, but we are pretty confident :) Thanks to all you well wishers :)When God Made Cats
When God made the world, He chose to put animals in it, and decided to give each whatever it wanted. All the animals formed a long line before His throne, and the cat quietly went to the end of the line. To the elephant and the bear He gave strength, to the rabbit and the deer, swiftness; to the owl, the ability to see at night, to the birds and the butterflies, great beauty; to the fox, cunning; to the monkey, intelligence; to the dog, loyalty; to the lion, courage; to the otter, playfulness. And all these were things the animals begged of God. At last he came to the end of the line, and there sat the little cat, waiting patiently. "What will YOU have?" God asked the cat.The cat shrugged modestly. "Oh, whatever scraps you have left over. I don't mind."
"But I'm God. I have everything left over."
"Then I'll have a little of everything, please.
"And God gave a great shout of laughter at the cleverness of this small animal, and gave the cat everything she asked for, adding grace and elegance and, only for her, a gentle purr that would always attract humans and assure her a warm and comfortable home.
But he took away her false modesty.

Sherlock Holmes Residence

I have been working on this house for a couple of weeks now. I hope to have it ready in a day or so. I will be showing it with 'FA" furniture, but the house will not be uploaded with those pieces. I will provide links to all FA items shown to help you decorate Sherlock's home! NOTE: For best installation of this lot, please use 'Sims2Pack Installer'.
Hello! I'm now working on the final part of the Honey Bee Set, two of them are finished. The picture on the right hand side shows the crib and the changing table. I will finished the set with six new meshes.
Ok, just four more to go... bye for now, "see" you soon with the new set!
