Kitty Collier
*Adding more pics* This week's project are some skins, and hopefully some faces too, based on the Kitty Collier dolls by the Tonner Doll Company. I'm not sure which ones or how many I'll be able to crank out this week, but I should be able to get about 5-6 skins and hopefully the faces too. Preview pics will be added as I complete things.
Pin-Up Swimwear!!
I know I have updated with an awful lot of swimwear lately, but I couldnt resist doing these when I heard about our theme for this month. So here is one of the suits from the collection, a blue and white number that reminds me of a Petty girl. :p
Also on the way in the next couple of weeks or so, is my first set of object related content. I am really glad to finally do something with objects, I have been meaning to for ages, but something has always been on my plate. I really hope you like them!

Hopefully the last contribution to custom aquarium sets :). Decorative corals of various shapes and colors. I wasn't really trying to be true to mother nature. its hard enough to create organic shapes in 3D. Make them look realistic is even harder. So I hope you can accept some looking nearly like corals objects, lol!
Oregon Coast
I'm going to the coast for the weekend, but I'll be thinking of sims and meshes while the ocean wind blows away my troubles! In the meantime, here's a cute picture of my pussy-cat!
Contrite - and a bite!
That - that HOUND in my avatar... He dealt my elbow a nip today. This followed on from a whole succession of his toys being dropped at my feet one after the other. Being the callous owner that I am, I had ignored him and his persistent requests for playtime, so he resorted to teeth warfare. Meet Bullet: sight-hound (otherwise known as 'not very obedient') lurcher - who won't take 'go away' for an answer, apparently.Bullet was being ignored due to the fact I was repairing various creations already scheduled in my calendar. You see: I forgot to take any notice of discussion about base-game compatibility over at MTS2 (some might say I ignored the advice completely - just as long as they don't say it in MY earshot!). Failing to heed this guidance has meant that some (okay, MOST) of my creations since "Open For Business" was released won't work in the base game (that is, the original Sims without any expansion packs installed).
So, dear readers, if any of you don't own any expansion packs at all and therefore find that some of my creations don't appear, then send me a personal message and I'll see if I can fix the object for you.
I continue to heap many apologies upon you!
More Plants coming soon
I have been trimming down some extracted Trees to make them more Poly friendly some of them were over 5000 polys which I gather is way too much, there is a small Plumeria, Hawthorn Tree, Magnolia Tree and a Dogwood Tree...coming h
as soon as I find a spare minute too upload them.
Canopy Crib
I just finished updating my Canopy Crib mesh from last year. It now has a fully animated side rail, and the nanny will use it.I also improved a few things on the mesh - smoother frame, tiebacks and canopy rail recolor with the frame now, not the fabric for a perfect match.

I'm always open to new ideas so, if there's something you'd like, please let me know! There are just a couple of very small requests.If it involves a mesh made by another artist:
1). Make very sure the creator allows recolors and allows the recolors to be uploaded to TSR. I can't touch a mesh unless the creator allows me to. If we have to link to another site for the mesh, that's generally not a problem.
2). Please send me a link to the object or set. The less time I spend searching for it, the more time I can spend working on your recolor. :)
Please be aware that not all user-created meshes can be recolored for a pattern or detailed texture. It all depends upon how the UV mapping is done.
Also helpful:
If you have a photograph of an actual set or object, please send it to me at the email addy listed below. This also applies to a particular fabric or surface. I take many ideas from other textures and patterns but prefer to make them myself, so it doesn't have to be a complete pattern or texture.
Finally, I will do my best to come up with something similar to what you are wanting but, I can't guarantee it will be exactly the same. Also, sometimes, no matter how hard I try, a set just won't come together for me. :( I'll only publish it if I feel I can do it justice and am satisfied as to the quality and aesthetics of the piece/set.
I think that's just about it, so let me know what it is you'd like to see!

Palm-Reading for Basic Games

Here There Be Monsters!
Starfish recolours weren't enough and I'm a sucker for punishment. Once I've beaten the rest of these textures into submission, you'll be able to add bad boys such as this Great White Shark into your aquariums, swimming pools and more. ;P
UPDATE: Six species. Four meshes. Five and a half hours sleep. Twenty-four hours of non-stop work (roughly). Presenting Shark Mania - coming to an aquarium near you in 2 days!
Tropical Starfish Colours
I fell in love with Windkeeper's custom built aquarium set while beta testing so I asked her about making some additional recolours, since starfish (or more accurately, sea stars) come in such a wealth of colours IRL. These are some of my favourites, which you can add to your aquariums for further variety - they look especially great using coral reef ground textures.
Expect this set to be available around Friday, July 14'06; and many more tropical and aquarium themed additions to come. ;)
Pebbles for aquariums
I just uploaded a set of small stones, various shapes and colors. The idea is to use them together with my custom built aquarium set, but the stones can work well in gardens. Release date - July 13 :)
And here is funny addition to the aquarium set - swimming cat wallpaper, lol! You can see the full size picture here.
Pilialoah Bay Wedding Beach
You can't rightly have a tropical theme without taking advantage of a wedding party! :D Pilialoah Bay gives your Sims the opportunity to enjoy a romantic Hawaiian beach wedding with full outdoor reception services included. This community lot functions as a restaurant for visiting Sims or purchase it to create a unique ownable restaurant business.
NOTE: Due to the community nature of this lot, visiting Sims cannot actually marry here. If you wish to have Sims marry on this lot, you can download a hacked wedding arch that functions on community lots and replace the existing arch with the hacked version - check Mod the Sims 2 for this object.
And in case you're wondering, 'pilialoha' means 'to be in a bond of love' in Hawaiian. ;)
New Releases!
I'm now back and fully refreshed after my America jaunt, and have spent the last couple of weeks building Lots for your downloading pleasure! :)First out this month are a couple of beach houses for the Tropical Paradise FA Theme Week. Naviti and Wakaya are named after Tiki islands and look great in a coastal neighbourhood. I'd intended to go for a more traditional Tiki style, but once again my urge to go contemporary overcame me, so both are 'modern-Tiki', a l� Missy style.

Next out is what will hopefully be the first in a small series of SIMquaria, based on Windkeeper's absolutely fantastic Tropical Aquarium set. Aquarius is essentially a large fishtank, filled with everything that your Sims need for a fun, underwater life.

Alaia Boogie Boards
My first submission for the Tropical Paradise theme week, Alaia Boogie Boards is a surf board shop with shoreline beach lounge area. Depending on your preference, you can either use Alaia's as a regular community lot or purchase as a community business. Either way, its small lot size (2x3) makes it perfect for low-end computers especially.
And in case you're wondering, 'alaia' is the Hawaiian word for traditional wood surf (AKA 'boogie') boards. Surf's up! ;)
New sets
I am working on a few sets at the moment,something nice for the Guy sims,maybe something for females to.Some go with this months theme, other sets nothing to do with this months theme. I wasn't going to submit anything for this months themes, due to my time and my creative energy, seem to be tied more to other idea's than the theme. Here is a preview of the next set for the Males simmies.

The break was nice, but it's back to work for me. I think I've learned how to juggle the family and the Sims fairly well now, so I started a new set. I lost my inspiration pictures for the bedroom I was going to finish after I finished the Palermo (which is nearly uploaded now ... it's such a pain to upload 119 files ... and it took me a while to get the shading on the silly set to look decent). So, I started a new set that is nearly ready for SimPE now. The Bailey Collection. Inspiration:
I had to do the lightwood first so I could get the shading done right. But, as always, there will be several wood choices, including the mocha in the original set.

Piped Fences...
If you've seen my release schedule, you've already been shocked into realising what a boring time you'll be in for in August. Everything is for the SAME series! But you can quit that moaning and complaining. I can HEAR you, you know! Being the completely insensitive person that I am, I will nevertheless press on by adding even more to this uber-series. Pipes! This here is a fence (well, two types of fence to be precise - one with pipe pieces that descend to the ground).

Vacation Lots and lakeside houses
*Done adding pics* I'm taking a brief break from skinning this week to work on some building projects. I'm planning on building a couple of lakeside houses for lots 8 & 10(those are the lots in the original neighborhood with the water border). I am also planning on building with the 3 beach lots from Vacation, Lots 46, 47, and 48. The current plan, which could change as I start building, is: 1) Lot 46 as a Tiki bar kind of thing, 2) Lot 47 will be an aquatic center with a giant pool and a snack/shopping area, and 3) Lot 48 is the Bungalow Beach Bed & Breakfast resort, featuring 4 bungalows for your Sims to "rent" for their Vacation stay.If anything changes, I'll post back to let you know. As always pics will be added as the houses or lots are completed.
Edit: Because of the holiday here in the US this past week, I wasn't able to finish the second house. I have 1 house and 3 Vacation Island lots completed. The other house will be finished at a later date.
Tropical Paradise Hipster Bikinis
The third set I have created for the Tropical Paradise Theme Week comprises eight sexy striped hipster bikinis in a variety of groovy summer colours. The bikini top has a halterneck tie and an unusual square link detail at the front between the cups. The low slung black pants are embellished with a stylish contrasting sash belt encircling the hips and tied at the front. This set was inspired by some very cute mix'n'match separates by Seafolly. This set can be worn by adults (and young adults if you have University installed). It uses a standard Maxis mesh.Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
Thanks, to everyone for all your wonderful comments on my creations. I recently hurt my right wrist while gardening, I wish I had a Sims' gardener to trim my bushes, and hedges, LOL.It's nothing serious, but I'm giving my wrist a rest from the mouse and keyboard. I hope to have a new set release later this month...I'm thinking, "Vintage Victorian Dining."

Dear Cyclone-Some-Facts-Withheld-Sue, your grim Urban Renewal lot was modernised and redecorated in a very light, airy, trendy style, and, as for the Lizard family, when they moved out of Strangetown Swamp, the new purchasers landscaped the grounds and built a smart split-level home with wonderful views. Very nice. Actually!
I'm sure the aforementioned 'new purchasers' have NO idea over how many hundreds of graves of innocent NPCs they sleep!

Tropical mountain retreats
What could be better in the summer than escaping to a mountain retreat on a tropical island, built around a waterslide down the mountain?!!!Well, I think so, anyway, and I've made 2 versions for the next FA theme, Tropical Paradise. I've also added in a tropical starter with one of my Jungle Walkway bridges - for less than $20K ready to move in to! ;)
If you haven't tried making a waterslide, please do have a look at my Neat Waterslides tutorial which I'll work to have ready for TSR's format sometime soon.

Oh yes. I've seen them!
Firstly, I know that one of my grim Urban Renewal lots has appeared in Cyclonesue Partner's neighbourhoods. Secondly, there was a very BAD family in one of those 'nice' neighbourhoods: the Lizard family. The Lizard family dispatched with NPCs with the speed you or I might dispatch with donuts.
So, how's THAT for 'nice'?
I'll leave that to your better judgement whilst I sit back with a smug "there!" smile on my face.

A brief update on floors and flora...
Two things...The spiteful weed at the end of my garden is NOT Shepherd's Purse. I first mentioned this poignant specimen of flora in my blog whinge about hayfever. Therefore, I sincerely apologise to any fans of Shepherd's Purse out there who are currently putting together libel cases against the author of the aforementioned defamatory blog entry (me, that is).
The Create Transparent Floor Tiles tutorial is back up! Thanks to SWW, Kath and Per who wrestled it into submission and forced it to appear NICELY (against its will) on the TSR home page. Show your appreciation by making amazing transparent floor tiles and cluttering TSR with them all. It might have been a little easier for them to fix the tutorial had I not have meddled with it and lost it completely!
Dullards Rehabilitation Clinic
I got hooked on the Asylum Challenge.I like the concept of challenges - I played the Legacy Challenge when it first launched - but my biggest problem with most challenges is that they're simply too big, too long, too complex or all of the above. Less is more, IMO. The beauty of the Asylum Challenge (to me, at least) is it's relatively short and simple.
But before I could wreck havoc on my unsuspecting patients I realized I needed a dwelling to house them. I immediately thought of Cyclonesue's Gravesend Asylum. Sadly, it has yet to be published (looks fantastic, though - no surprise) so I was left to my own devices. It then occurred to me that the smallest pre-made Maxis dorm would be the perfect solution if converted to a residential lot and so I give you a revamped version dubbed Dullards Rehabilitation Clinic:
Dullards comes pre-furnished according to the challenge rules so that you can get straight to playing your twisted little madhouse. :D There are 5 single beds of the required energy and comfort levels, seating for a maximum of 6 Sims (2 kitchen chairs, 2 chess chairs & 1 loveseat), 1 toilet and 1 sink with 1 shower/tub in an alternate room, 1 skill building object of each skill type plus a TV, no buglar or fire alarms and 2 phones for those thrilling calls to the fire dept. :P There is also a little space on the side lawn around the fountain for gravestones should you require it. And naturally the bedrooms are padded.
This little project also came with a very important discovery I feel I should share with other players and builders: never simply convert a dorm into a residence using the changeLotZoning command. While it seems it is perfect acceptable to rezone a residence into a dorm, it is not acceptable to rezone a dorm into a residence.
I discovered half a week into my Asylum Challenge that dorms rezoned to residences receive no carpools whatsoever - the taxi works normally but carpools do not appear, even with manually adding portals. In the end, I had to completely rebuild the clinic from scratch on a residential plot, transfer my household and scrap the original "Franken-zoned" lot. So much for saving myself time and frustration.

Summer Sun Swimwear
The second set I've created for the Tropical Paradise Theme Week is a set of six colourful summer swimsuits for young adults only (due to my own stupidity - if I get enough requests I'll make versions for adults too) so you must have University installed for them to show up in your game. There are two designs, three colours in each style.1. A skimpy bikini in a groovy tropical print, inspired by a Speedo bikini. Comes in three whimsically named colours: Chocolate Strawberry, Palm Beach and Lilac Skies.
2. A halter neck bandeau monokini in vivid multi-coloured striped fabric, inspired by a Heaven swimsuit. Comes in three colours: Mexico, Ocean Azure and Watermelon.
Both styles use a standard Maxis University mesh.

Beacon Falls: Carmichael Family
The Carmichael family is my second addition to the Beacon Falls project (which, btw, is coming along swimmingly). If you like playing scheming Sims or soap opera plot lines, then this one is for you!Willow Carmichael
Willow owes her fine level of living to her calculating mind and wiley manipulation ploys. Having grown up in a low to middle class family, Willow quickly discovered she had a natural finesse for deceiving people and getting what she wanted. Unable to afford a college education, she took a maid position after graduating high school and deftly swindled her employer out of a significant sum of money. Since then Willow has continued her "love 'em and leave 'em" scheme, lining her pockets with cash and leaving a trail of broken - and flat broke - hearts behind her.
Again, if you'd like a complete copy of Willow in all her ruthless glory, I would suggest getting a copy of Beacon Falls when it is available. If you'd rather just her individual packaged Sim file (no custom content) and personalized information files containing all personality traits, skills, etc. to recreate her yourself as you see fit, PM me with your email address and I'll happily send her your way (but remember, you've been forewarned as to her nature :P).
Flamingo Bay Living Collection
I'm back to creating some new recolours. I had one more theme in mind for Holy Simoly's fabulous Bijoux lounge set - a super cute and tropical print of grazing pink flamingos on a bright and cheery yellow background. I've paired this print with a dark brown wicker colour for a rather dramatic contrast and am quite happy with how it's turned out - hopefully others will agree. :)
Next up on my list I'm going to try and finally finish the two bathroom sets I started ages ago. I'm actually scrapping pretty much everything I did on them and am going to start from the ground up with new meshes and hopefully new inspiration. We'll see how that goes. ;)
Beacon Falls: Singh Family
The Singhs are the first family I've contributed to Beacon Falls. Truth be told, they are in fact a broken family with a sad and unique story:Mekala & Carmina Singh
Mekala Singh fled her homeland after her husband made a betrothal agreement promising their daughter, Carmina, to the son of one of the local maffia members in lieu of the protection money they could not pay on their business. Mekala ran as far as fast as she could, hiding Carmina and herself in dingy hovels and working any job she could find that required no skill and no background. Never allowing herself to rest for the sake of her daughter's safety, the pair moved sparatically, never staying in the same place for too long. Newly arrived in Beacon Falls, Mekala finds herself concerned that their nomadic lifestyle is having an ill affect on Carmina and she hopes they can finally stop running, settle down and grow some roots here. Despite this dream, Mekala lives in silent terror that one day her husband will track her down and take their daughter back to her planned betrothal.
Tamal Singh
Tamal Singh is on the hunt for his errant wife and daughter, who fled their homeland after he was forced to betroth his daughter to a local maffia member's son. His wife's betrayal cost them their business and put a price on all of their heads. Having lost everything he once was proud of and held dear has left a hollowness in him, a hollowness that Tamal fears. He believes he is getting close to finding his missing family but no longer knows what he should - or will - do when he does.
If you'd like a copy of the Singhs, I would first and foremost recommend checking out Beacon Falls but if you'd rather just the family, I'm happy to provide their individual packaged Sim files (no custom content included) and personalized information files containing all personality traits, skills, etc. that you will need to recreate them as I envision them or just get you started.
