What's New?
A new bathroom vanity and linen cabinets, for my upcoming Vintage Victorian "Antique Gold Bathroom" set. Here are 2 screenies...
In the works...
I couldn't resist the temptation to recolor one of Cashcraft's new sets! Even though my computer is limping, and at times, dragging itself along, it has managed to hold up long enough for me to work on a few pieces. Below is a preview of a few of them but, as always, it's a work in progress. Things may change between now and the time it's uploaded to TSR.Have a great weekend!
Fruit Pies & Piazza Terracotta
Mmmm... Pie... *drools*Who doesn't love pie? Warm, sticky sweet and baked with loving care. I used to spend summer days baking fruit pies with my granny (apple was always my favourite ;) ) - but now thanks to Windkeeper, your Sims don't even need to do the baking!
Using Windkeeper's cool new decorative fake baked goods, you can now add apple, blueberry and peach fruit pies alongside the default cherry version. Individual slice versions are also included.
Piazza Terracotta
Also, as promised, I've made a second living set using Holy Simoly's fabulous Bijoux lounge meshes. This version features a unique willow green wicker and earthy browns and terracotta red cushions. I think it looks fabulous inside and out - a nice twist to terrace and patio furniture, if you ask me.
Season of the curse!
So, who here is equally miserable? If your nose is running, eyes swollen and itchy, throat driving you crackers and the happy little pills that are meant to curb all this are sending you to sleep - well, lament with me.
Yes, all hail the hayfever season (in Britain at least). The makers of Kleenex are no doubt rolling around the floor in laughter (and wads of cash).
And I'm looking dangerously insane as I glare at the hapless weed known as Shepherd's Purse (we'll call it Shepherd's Curse for ease of reference from now on) waiting at the end of my garden. Brimming with hateful pollen, armed and dangerous... And it waits.
Of course, this pitiful griping of mine serves the purpose of providing me with Useful Excuses. If the textures of my objects look a bit blurred or not quite seamless - well, that's blurry eyes for you. Can't see a darned thing, you see...
New sets
I hope everyone will like my new clothing sets. I upload today two new collections. Here are the previews:
I like these outfits really much so I hope that you'll enjoy them! I also add bakery fake goods - the based on the mesh from windkeeper. I like her idea of the fake bakery - so I must try to recolour some cakes that my simmies will have more choises. Happy Simming! Sophia
Eye colors and shadows are coming ;)
Hi everyone! So next week you can load my first eyecolour creations. I hope you'll like them. Also I have upload an eyeshadow set - for a everyday makeup. And of course I've uploaded a lot of new clothes today for the next week. For example I have made a "remake" of some of my whole outfit-collections - so now your sims are able to wear the tops alone and can mix and match them. Enjoy it! And Happy Simming!
here some previews:

*Hugs* Sophia
New stuff!
I haven't been absent without a cause. The Castle Ruins & Ramparts set is now complete and queueing for release in July. It took me ages, largely due to a lack of skill and a good degree of incompetence: two traits that are invaluable if you aspire to being a creator who takes forever to make anything and does so in foul temper! But the set of holes in walls and other lovely bits for old castles and ruins is now, finally, out!
Add to this a huge new building project: an asylum! The Gravesend Asylum is as authentic as I could ever hope to make an asylum. If you want a sneak preview of the inside, click here. For those of you currently enjoying the "Asylum" mini-challenge, I'm also uploading a totally unfurnished version too!
Have fun!
Double-Wide Sill-Length Curtains
I recently received a request to make sill-length versions of the double-length curtains in my bedding-match Bentform and Tieback curtain sets. Since this was a very trivial revision to make (about 2 minutes to modify the necessary meshes, and 15-20 to create the relevant .package files) I've gone ahead and done it. Hope you all enjoy the new additions to the decor! Now I'm wondering what other object it would be fun to make a bedding-match version of...
Not totally gone
Well, I said that I wouldn't be back unless I got bitten by the bug...So, I'm not really all the way back. I just don't have that kind of time. But, I'm back a little.
One day, while looking at my hair file collection in BodyShop, I noticed the "diva" hairstyle here at TSR, which was acquired through cooperation from Jose Silva, AKA 3Dream. They did a bang-up job on that one, but I thought that I saw something there that a few minor tweaks could turn into another really sexy style. So, I messed around with it some, deleted the bangs, widened it a bit, bent in some parts here and there, and voila! I think we have a pretty cool style working for us. Of course, I got Xandher on those re-vamped textures, and we were good to submit. We're calling it "diva redux," and I hope you enjoy.
Meanwhile, let me say a word or two about animations.
They are great, but I think for the most part, they are overdone.
Let me explain.
I have come around to the other side of the animations argument; I believe that they can cause problems, particularly when the joints aren't weighted well. For some reason, there is a problem with the blend data with our current tools, and what Maxis meant for subtle movement can easily become distorted and unrealistic as the blend data, which basically gives weight to vertices, seems exaggerated. For example, I use the fuzzylonghair as a base for most of my meshes. Maxis has by default assigned about fourteen vertices (total)toward animations. If one attempts to assign those same vertices after export from Milkshape, he/she would find some severe distortion in movement. I'm not sure if this is a Milkshape or SimPE problem, but it is a problem. Animations just don't look right. I have revisited many of my older hairstyles, and have thought that it might be best to remove some of those animations, but I want to hear more. Do those animations distract, or add to your experience with the hair?
I would like to hear your comments regarding that.
Anyway, I'm not fully back, but I'm not fully gone. Sorta like Elvis.

Silent Whisper Bedroom
My new bedroom recolor, created from Cashcrafts Asian inspired Bedroom meshes. The high texture detail cannot be seen all that well in the main preview pic, but will been able to be appreciated a bit more in the individual pics. Bitzybus mirror tiles that I recolored are used for the floor, these tiles are standalone, just like any other object in the game. You will definatley need her tile meshes for my recolor to show up in your game.Warning! laying to many of these mirror tiles may slow your game down. They are nothing to do with the standard Maxis method of creating your flooring. Dont forget to see the reflection value you need to switch on reflection setting in the in game graphics settings.Depending on the quality of your graphics card will judge if your game can take reflection being switched on. Low end cards may struggle with reflection setting on , the higher end cards shouldn't have much problem. Tips on reflective floor tiles My Bitzybus mirror floor tile recolors
This tip only matters if you are going to use wallmirrors in the room you put the mirror floor tile recolors.
When laying the mirror floor tile recolors, make sure the standard floor underneath the tile is a near same color to the mirror tile recolor. As you see in the preview pic,the underneath floor reflects on the wallmirror, but does not show through the mirror floor
recolor directly.
This tip is for those who get unsightly lines when laying mirror floor tile recolor.
Just keep turning the tiles until the seams look almost invisible as they do in my preview picture.
These tips are only relevant when Silent whisper Bedroom is published. Sorry if I confused anyone in my preview blog entry.I am not very good at instruction. If anyone does have any problems after This recolor is published then feel free to PM me.
Beta Testing
Well what do you know, I made the cut for the beta testing team. :DGuess my previous tech support and testing experience in software development is going to come in handy again. Think I'll spend the day tuning up my clean installation in preparation.
I promise I'll get the terracotta version of my piazza lounge done very soon, though. And I was thinking of making a little Swedish Smland summer house for Midsummer, which is technically today but since we'll be celebrating on the weekend perhaps it won't be quite that late. :D
Oops!
I forgot about my original glass garage door and named the new door exactly the same way! When you download it, it overwrites the older one. My bad! Meh, it wasn't all that great anywayComputer problems
Well, my computer has limped along enough to upload my next set. Hopefully it will hold out a bit longer, until I can get it repaired. I'll continue to work on my next set for as long as my computer will allow. :)New look of Rosewood set
I made a new version of my Rosewood set. The original windows were with metal mesh insert, these new ones come with clear glass. Hope this will make the windows more versatile. The set will also include new 2-tile and 3-tile windows, archway, and even a small privacy window. All the meshes use the colors of one main window. To be released on June 28th.
Weekend Away
My next set comprises a selection of essential items every woman needs for a special weekend away:1. Undies: a sexy black lace camisole and matching panties
2. Everyday: a casual outfit for sightseeing, comprising cropped hipster jeans in distressed blue denim with contrasting embroidery and double metal snap closure. Worn with cute lace-trimmed cream cotton camisole top and comfy sneakers (separate top and bottom).
3. Swimwear: a colourful bikini with black trim and beaded tie detail at the back
4. Evening: a pretty yet sophisticated floral print dress with spaghetti straps that cross at the back and black velvet ribbon trim beneath the bustline; worn with killer high heels (I've classified this dress as an everyday item as it didn't seem fancy enough to be classed as formal).
5. Lingerie: a super sexy sheer powder blue chemise with spaghetti straps, white French lace trim and delicately frilled hemline. Can be worn as a nightie or as a petticoat.
All 6 items are for adults (and young adults if you have University installed). All the items use standard Maxis meshes except for the dress which requires a mesh created by Crechebaby available from Sim Chic at the following URL: http://www.simchic.com/ts2/FREEBIES/FA-EVERYDAY-WHOLE/FAPinkPeaCoat.html
The cute pink coat that comes with the mesh is a nice bonus!
Jeans and dress inspired by the Plenty by Tracy Reese range (eDressMe.com). Chemise inspired by a Julianne silk chemise I saw at Figleaves.com (what a great site!).
Im going on holiday :-)
Im going on holiday home to germany and Spain for 4 Weeks and wont be able to upload. Unfortunatly I only have uploaded till the beginning of July. I just didnt have any more time.I will still be able to check my messages, just not as frequently.
I will be back again 21.07.
See you. (grabs her bags and runs off)
Silent Whisper Addons
I will upload Silent whisper Addons very soon, also I did another recolor of Bitzybus's mirror floor tile,so you have the choice of the Whisper bedroom floortile or this one.See tips for laying my recolor of Bitzy's floor tile in my Whisper bedroom entry.
I hope you all enjoy this recolor. :)
Satin Touch
Today I've been working on a set of satin and lace chemises inspired by a Betsey Johnson Intimates slip. These can be worn by both adult and young adult females (if you have University installed) and come in twelve shades. Can be worn as a nightie or as a petticoat.Antique Gold Part III
Antique Gold Part III is schedule for release on June 24th. The set includes 14 recolored objects, including a recolor of "The Victorian Gentlemen's" armchair with ottoman mesh. The Victorian Gentlemen
The Victorian Gentlemen collection is scheduled for release on June 21st. The set includes 4 new meshes, straight razor set, armchair with ottoman, beverage carafe, and men's robe.Cupid's Cherubs
I have completed cupid's cherubs in four different designs each coming with reverse version. To be published by July 2nd. There will also be posts in matching colors made available for download shortly thereafter.
Piazza Sunshine Living
I long for a cozy sunroom or terrace to enjoy the summer weather. Alas, all I have is a cramped balcony. So in order to enjoy the pleasures of a relaxing sunroom, I'm forced to live vicariously through my Sims.I also fell in love with JSF's Park Lane Palms wallpaper. It strikes me as the perfect sunroom wall treatment - bright, sunny and with relaxing palms - I can almost hear their leaves rustling softly in the warm summer breeze. I wanted to make a nice and cozy lounge set to compliment this beautiful wallpaper and so I give you the Piazza Sunshine lounge collection. :)
This set (includes sofa, loveseat, arm chair, ottoman & coffee table) should be available for download late this week - I expect there's still quite a bit of catching up to be done behind-the-scenes after the site went down for so long.
Mission Furniture Wood
Working on five (5) recolors in oak, light walnut, walnut, cherry and white for wood in Mission Furniture. Don't know why recolor 5 was first, but oh well... Beds, Dining Rm items, etc and then cabinets for kitchen are coming. Cabinets are a littler tougher, so it's taking a little longer for them. Hope you like!My Apologies
I just want to apologize for taking so long to get the new walls up. I had some issues with the quality of the stripe texture I was using, so I changed it and then decided to redo all the sripe walls. Then there were some walls that were incorrectly done and I wanted to redo them as well. I am very picky about details, I want the end product to look and be as perfect as I am able make it.To make matters worse I am a pick and peck typist, which means everything takes forever to type. My solution to this problem? I have engaged my wonderful daughter Katie to type for me. So now she types and I man the mouse, we did some practice tonight and things were speeded up by at least three times as fast, if not more. Now with Katie's help I(we) should have these walls submitted by the first of this week. Tomorrow, we are going to be diligently working on getting all the walls into HomeCrafter, then packaged and finally into the submissions.
Thank you to everyone for your patience and continued support, I TRULY appreciate it very much. :-D
Preview of Coming Set!
One of the things I really dislike is decorating a nursery only to have my toddler grow up and what was appropriate for the baby/toddler just won't do for a child. I enjoy having a nursery set that, with a couple of quick switches, makes the transition easily. This is what I'm attempting in my next set. It's called Puppy Love and is based on the Marching Scottie Curtains. I still have some work to do on it but here is a preview:
And there's more....
I've been a busy bee since the site went down last week...I've got some more new meshes coming up, 3 sets of flower baskets and a new set of prints...

No title
I uploaded a recolor of BitzyBus's Maya kitchen, and true to my usual fashion it's not a plain recolor. As you all probably noticed I like to try out different textures and patterns on furniture, just for variety really. In my own little fantasy world, I love seeing how these effects look in the game.I have another Bedroom recolor to upload which I will do in the next couple of days,Recoloring Cashcrafts lovely Asian Bedroom meshes is definately one of of my favorites, because I use this set so much in my own game, whenever I get the chance to have a play.
Update - Ferns
There was a problem with my Ferns when placing them on fences located on top of walls or on the edge of foundations. You only need to download the mesh files, old recolors will still work.SimplyforGuys2
We have an extension of our featured artists theme week so I am publishing some rustic pine plaid walls with matching carpets. Enjoy them.
MAJOR Update!
I got new computer with better graphic card and discovered that some of custom objects I made before appear shiny in the game while they weren't suppose to be: like chicken and cows, reindeers, window awnings, etc. Turns out my older graphic card wasn't supporting something, thats why I didn't notice any shine effect before :(. I have removed shine effect from several dozens of my objects, click here to see complete list of them. If you wish them to look the way they are in my original screenshots, please downloads all the files again. I also decided not to update few of my objects, like Japanese Lucky Cat for example, since they do look fine in shiny version :).
Joinable statues
I'm considering venturing into the object making realm with a set of mannequins/statues that are not just decorative, but also functional. They will be using the joinable bases from Lost Sims. Here's the blurb from Lost Sims about the joinable bases:Lost sims joinable objects
The idea behind these objects is they are a new way to socialize and have fun at the same time. With these painting and sculpture bases you can create an away from home art gallery for your sims to visit. Since it is a fun activity for them, you should get lots of visitors to the lots where you put these objects. You don't have to use them just for an art gallery though. They work great as an extra fun activity at away from home lots, and they don't take up a lot of space.
This project is still in the planning stages. At the moment, here's my "wishlist" of items for this project:
1) set of statues for a museum setting(Egyptian, Native American, ancient Greek/Roman, and so on)
2) set of statues/mannequins for Downtown/Vacation/OldTown/StudioTown clothing stores(swimsuit, formal, pajama, winter, high fashion, etc)
3) set of statues for a "haunted" house or Halloween theme(vampires, mummyies. werewolves, witches, etc)
4) set of statues of celebrities for a Sim replica of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum
Any imput from you guys and gals reading this would be nice. You can comment here or PM me with comments or other ideas for this project as well.
Addiction, Summer Theme & New Set
Man, 72 hours without TSR and I now fully realize just how addicted I am to this site; moreso that I'm now on summer vacation. Anyway, on to the less obvious...Summer Theme - Hawaiian Beach Party!
Some of you have poked at me over the fact that I haven't posted my own custom banner. Should be easy, right? Wrong. You have to understand, nothing about me is easy. Period.
Obsessions, however, are another thing completely and after taking the preview photos of my men's crop circle necklace series, I totally geeked out over the summery/Hawaiian euphoria. Finally inspired, I decided to do a whole seasonal theme branding theme. So you can all stop poking now and instead go check out my new banner and new avatar. I even changed my blog colour scheme to orange, which I realize is perhaps a tad damaging to the eyes but living up here in Sweden with our short summers of ill-contempt weather, you have to take any grain of heat and warmth you can get.
New Set - Purple Aquatica Bedroom
My first room set! This is something of a significant accomplishment for me, as I find room sets difficult to visualize and even more so to complete - I have several started that have yet to see the light of day.
However, I realized after making my purple spotted fish rug recolour that Maxis didn't make a purple version of the underwater bedroom set that shipped with FFS. How disturbing - surely somewhere in the 'great blue' of the ocean a world of lovely violets also exists? Anyway, getting to the point of the fact, I made an entire bedroom set just to match my lonely little rug (now who's disturbed? :P ).
Vintage Barbie
*Adding pics* After frying myself in the sun for a couple of hours, I finally decided on my next project -- Vintage Barbie. So, this next week I'll be working on some replicas of vintage Barbie fashions that span the decades (50's, 60's, 70's). As always, pics will be added as I complete the fashions.

Yay! TSR is back up and running!
Thanks to the techs and everyone at TSR for their great job! While we were down I had some time to make a few things. One of the objects needed in the game are curtains for the shorter windows. Sometimes the long drapes just look wrong with all that excess fabric hanging down. It's one of the reasons that I so love Solfal's Xmas Curtain mesh! ... and that's what I've been working on!
I just submitted a new set of these great curtains geared toward children and nurseries. The next set will be for the country kitchens!
I hope you enjoy them! :)
More New Meshes
I am enjoying learning how to make new objects for the game...and I have some more new meshes coming up...these are 2 sets of cloks, the first being a set of Square wall mounted clocks and the second set are Round clocks...
Yay! We're Back!
I'm glad to see TSR is back online this morning! I have quite a few things for the SIMply for Men Theme that I still haven't uploaded, so for me the Theme will be a bit extended. I guess I'll start uploading things today. And a big "Happy Father's Day" to all you Dad's out there! (And to all of your Simmie Dad's too!)
Have a nice weekend!
:)
