Flat Broke Bed Set
Waaaay back last year when I was making my 'Flat Broke' set, I worked on a double and single bed for the set but never finished them. Having been reminded of their existance by a recent conversation, I blew the dust off their files and completed them, along with one fast-and-dirty recolour. They should be available for download within the next few days. Enjoy!Work in progress - new garage doors
I'm working on two new garage door meshes. One is a glass door, the other is simple flat door that would be easy enough to recolor. Default Maxis garage doors are limited to one style only, that's what I'm hoping to overcome.
Getting Back Into Meshing
So, I'm getting back into making custom meshes about 3 months or so after buying milkshape. It's been very interesting, and I'm having fun with it so far. The only problem? I've totally forgotten the method I used to UV Map my meshes before! So, here I am, stuck with these nice meshes that I have no idea how to UV map. It's such fun. :DEnd Table:![]() | Table Lamp:![]() |
Dresser, With Bad Texture and Bad UV Map:![]() | Bed Frame:![]() |
Anyhow, as soon as I reread some information I've got saved about UV Maps and possibly find some new tutorials, I'll finish this set with a few more items of course. :) I expect to upload this to TSR as well as my own site, DJS Sims. Hopefully if this goes well, I'll be meshing some other things, as well as hacking and working on a few more Sims 2 Utilities I have in mind. :)

I finally found Numenor's tutorial about making objects placeable on OFB shelves today! I know I'm always so behind... |
And holes in the roof!
Not quite so destructive as my holes in the wall, mind!I've figured out a stupidly easy way to create skylights in an ordinary Maxis roof and now have a step by step tutorial published for all builders: beginners and advanced alike.

And for once (given that it's something of mine), it WORKS! How about that?!
Honey Bee - Blue & White
Hi, when I started to recolor this Honey Bee set, the first color in my mind is "Blue & White", but I didn't do until now. Hope you will like it :D Coming Soon!!!!
Jrnsten vs. Jarnsten
Apparently there's been a question of game compatibility with my updated version of Jrnsten Condominiums. If you've attempted to download the file (specifically using the TSR download wizard) and received error messages OR if you get errors when trying to install the lot into your game, DO NOT PANIC!I believe the problem stems from the use of the Swedish vowel '' in the lot's filename. Why this is suddenly a problem is beyond me, as it seems I used the same spelling on the original version... Regardless, I have renamed the lot, repackaged it and updated the file in the database.
So, long story short, if you're experiencing any problems whatsoever with the file, please download the updated version here.
And as always, please make sure to read the game requirements. ;)
Taking a Break
Well I hate to do it, but I'm taking a break from creating. I've got to cut down on my Simming because of personal issues, so creating is getting the total cut. I'm still going to work on my Legacy as much as I can, but it might have some long periods of no updating as well. I hope to be back in full swing in a couple of months.Railway Tunnel
After using cyclonesue's great railway wagon set in one of the lots of my Legacy neighborhood, I badly needed an arched tunnel piece to disguise where the railway tracks dissapeared into a hill side. So... I made one, of course! It's based off of a one-tile sculpture to make placement easy, so if you want to make sure your sims don't walk through it if it's in an accessible area, you'll need to use something like Dr. Pixel's traffic cone to block the places you don't want them going. My pet peeve of the day: Feedback that says something like "doesn't work" but gives absolutely zero information about in what way the object commented on does not work. Details, people, details!
At Last!
Since my Uni course has finished and done my exams, I now have time to spend creating some new bits and pieces. So the first few mini sets are based around a blue and white flowery texture I called 'Chrysanthemum'. There are some walls, and floors, some recoloured tables and chairs - sort of whitewashed wood, and some bedding and curtains.
I also have loads of bits and pieces that I never got around to submitting, so hopefully they'll be coming soon. I'll just have to get the files and screenies sorted!
Does anyone read this?
Coming in June, Manly, man, male walls and floors and some that aren't. I hope you like the selections. I'm going away for a week to celebrate our grandson's third birthday with him....Today is my birthday! I made it through another year, YEAH me!

What do you think about these colors?
What do you think about these colors?
What do you think about these colors and others in lighter/softer hues to coordinate with the vibrant colors of the lace sets? Tha Lilac, which is on the left would coordinate with and is shown with Plum. The Mauve, which is on the right, is shown with its color coordinate which is Burgundy. I would really LOVE to hear from anyone for some feedback...thanks...
Hole in the wall
Darth Joules wanted me to kick the stuffing out of some walls, so I gladly obliged, naturally! These holes are actually windows that can be used singly or combined to make a huge hole as in the pictures here. The large hole is made up of four different windows.
I just lurvvve destruction!

Updating soon.
Hey, sorry I haven't updated much, but there's a new set on the way. it just has to be approved.I haven't been submitting because I've been focusing all my sims creating time into couture week (http://www.thechambre.com/)

Starlight Ballgowns
One of the benefits of trawling through endless web sites looking for a wedding dress is coming across ideas for Sims creations. My latest series of gowns is based on a prom dress I saw at Mori Lee's web site www.morilee.com which is full of gorgeous dresses. The mesh WideGown is by Chriko at 2-f0r-u.de. This mesh is a bit of a pain to locate but I've given detailed installation instructions with each gown. Again, I have to confess I first saw Rosemat use this beautiful mesh at Pronupsims. My first set of Starlight Ballgowns comprises two gowns in my old favourite combination of Black & White.
The second set again comprises two gowns and is called Silver & Gold.
The third set is called Prom Night and comprises eight colourful gowns ideal for wearing to the Prom.
Major computer problem!
I apologize for the luck of updates, my computer died, I'm waiting for the new computer to arrive (they say about two weeks). The temporary one I'm currently using is limited on tools and resources. There is one set I managed to complete, decorative piggybank, publish date - June 1st. Oink!

Lingerie Barbies
*Adding last pics* This week I'm working on replicas of the Lingerie collectible Barbie dolls by Mattel. There were 6 dolls in the series, and they were made of Silkstone, a new material designed by Mattel that is similar to porcelain. As always, I'll be adding preview pics as I complete the skins.

toddlers fashion
Seems they've been a bit left behind, so I'm trying to make female toddlers (yeah, male will have to wait ! lol) enjoy fashion too ! Summer dresses are on my mind, no mesh needed, they're cute and easy to wear, in vibrant colours and sweet looking.Hope you'll love them !
Comments
I want to thank everyone that has left me a comment on all my items. I've been remiss in not responding as I should. It seems that at the times I read them I'm always in a rush. Thank you all and I'm glad to know that so many of you enjoy my work. I certainly plan to start responding to each of you from this point on.Lord Raleigh's Manor Tip!
If you would like to make the 'cut away' walls function work for the servants' quarters, just move the cow sideways in its' stall and delete the 'half-wall' and replace it with a regular wall. That will make it a bit easier to view the inside of the little house. I thought I would also add a close-up of the front entrance to the manor, since in the original photos it is not shown clearly.
Luxury Townhouses
My townhouse series has now been updated for NL and OFB. Originally I had planned to simply rebuild them as is, adding in the necessary garages and perhaps tweaking a few things that never quite worked the way I had wanted them to when the game was new. But I got carried away. As you can see from the preview images below, I started with the Foxglove, which is nearly identical to the original, but then each house thereafter deviated a little more. Not that the deviations are bad - the main differences stem mostly in the roof configurations and I think the changes are a big improvement. Overall the houses are layed out better (stairs especially), provide more from the start (garages, pools, landscaping, etc.) and are just plain more elaborate and thus I decided to rename them 'luxury townhouses'. I've also taken advantage of TSRAA custom content.
Foxglove Townhouse retains its original layout, although I had to switch the upstairs bath around the chimney for reasons liking stemming to my inability to count. :D The multi-story deck has been totally reworked and now functions (and looks) a ton better. A single-car garage has been added, as well as a backyard patio. There is room enough upstairs to add another bedroom if necessary and plenty of yard to expand on as you wish. This is without a doubt my favourite of the three. :D
Rosehip Townhouse retains its original layout, but I reworked the staircase into a split-level L-shaped version, which gave more room for the powder room and a tiny optional laundry room (or you can merge the two together). A single-car garage has been added, as well as a backyard pool with small pool house. Again, yard space remains for you to add in swings and the like.
Larkspar Townhouse retains its original layout, although I decided the second-story turret wall should be wider, so it now is. Thanks to UN I was finally able to include the original arched columns around the kitchen space and it once again looks much classier. I also opted for fewer 2-tile windows rather than the many 1-tile windows for a grander appearance. A single-car garage has been added and a backyard deck, although I left the rest of the backyard landscaping open for your own creativity.
Whew! Well that was an entire day's worth of work yesterday and I hope you enjoy the improved versions, which should be scheduled for release mid-coming week. I believe these are the last of my lots I'll be updating to current versions, at least for a while. I do have some other building ideas on the burner but might have to switch back to objects to refresh myself. :)
Doing my worst!
It's OUT!!!HUGE fanfares (okay - call it self-applause if you like)! I promised it ages ago, and now the time has finally come. Surely the biggest part of any grim neighbourhood is the grim bathroom furnishings they richly deserve. Especially public toilets, or is the UK alone in its propensity for THE most dire and grim toilets of all?

Bathrooms of Urban Decay
But yes, this is surely grimness personified. My favourite set of all time. My mother would NOT be proud of me. Having spent most of MY youth educating me in the finer arts of housework (SNORT! I'm not THAT stupid!), she would not be pleased at what I have turned into an art form in my rebellion.
But I like it. I like it very much!
Toddler clothing on the way!
Hi everyone!Heres an update on whats been going on in my world. (I'm sure you are all fascinated to hear about it..:p)
Been out of the loop a bit, been waiting to get a new computer after FedEx destroyed the other one. (grumble) They paid to have it repaired, but we just put the money towards a new computer. Its working out well so far. We have had it for a about a week, and things seem to be in good working order. I am so relieved! If I have to see the inside of another computer within the next year...
Anyway, now that we have it up and running, I have been busy at work trying to get caught up. Just submitted a set of toddler outfits that I intended on submitting during the nursery theme week. Its late, but I hope it'll do.. Heres a preview of my favorite outfit from the set.

I hope you all will enjoy it. I'm still at work with my Mens facial hair, its been a bit more work then I bargained for. :p
Anyway, until next time...adieu!
Hearts Entwined Bodices Final Set
The third set in my Hearts Entwined Bodices series comprises four satin bodice tops in deep tones with contrasting white trim and embroidery in the following colours: plum, jade, turquoise and French navy. They're scheduled for publication one week from today.Toddler Water Play
One more playable toy for toddlers, adds fun and is very cute! The toddlers play with the water in the barrel and with the water on ground.
They're Here!!!!
It took me longer than I anticipated (it always does! ;-) )but the new walls are being uploaded now! So I can finally show a couple of preview pictures here:
I grouped them into sets by color, so people can download only their favorite colors, or if there is a particular style that you like...it can be downloaded individually in as many colors as you want! Please enjoy!
NOTE: I noticed when I was uploading and then viewing the batch edit page, that the small preview pictures are VERY grainy and don't do the walls any justice...so when viewing the pictures on the downloads page, please click on each wall and look at the full size picture, to see the full beauty of the laces. Thank you!
Updating Lots
With the addition of expansion packs, I've meant to update my build lots to include driveways and the like but somehow it always ends up on the bottom of my list. Not today. To start with, I have tweaked my Jrnsten Condominiums complex to include a much-requested elevator instead of the multiple stairs (which I'll admit, I was never happy with, either). The parking lot has also been expanded to include NL driveways (you will need Cyclonesue's invisible driveway and Windkeeper's plastic hedges). I should also mention that only the 3 parking spaces on the left of the lot actually work; the 4th is decorative only, as there is not enough 'driving' room from the edge of the lot to allow a functioning 4th place but it still looks nice. :)
Next up, I have expanded my Holland Acres country home to include a small floral home business. The plantation yard has been reduced to half to allow for shop space (you should have Windkeeper's rosewood doors and windows), which has been outfitted with the basics required to run a shop, plus a flower crafting station. I also added a driveway and a few other minor tweaks.
Hearts Entwined Pastels
The second set of Hearts Entwined Bodices consists of nine strapless tops in cool cotton in a variety of pastel shades, perfect for summer. This set is basically just an inverted version of the bodices of the Hearts Entwined gowns. The trailing hearts embroidery is black rather than white and I've added some contrasting black trim. The tops come in the following shades: pink, ice blue, lilac, pistachio, primrose, white, silver, gold and champagne. Again the tops use a standard Maxis mesh.Hearts Entwined Bodices
I thought the bodices of the Hearts Entwined gowns would work well as tops in their own right so I've made three sets of bodice tops based on the original dresses. The first set is the most faithful to the gowns and comprises eight tops: silver, black, amethyst, sapphire, emerald, scarlet, chocolate and hot pink. The tops use a standard Maxis mesh.Trash a happy neighbourhood today!
My last few entries have been notably devoid of pictures. That is through pure idleness. So I've taken a couple of my neighbourhood snapshots to show you how the not-so-nice players like to play...
URBAN RENEWAL

More items coming up
|
I was so happy last week! My best friend Ellen got a new job and has been promoted to another level, now she is a leader of a 50 peoples team. On the other hand, my Honey Bee set got some nice positive comments also made me very happy! Thanks everyone who rated my downloads and left me comments. I am still working on the Honey Bee set, but I got flu these days, always want to sleep after taking medicines! Ive got some ideas in my mind but every time when I sat down and tried to create mesh... my half closed eyes just became fully closed!! lol I think Ive passed my flu to my computer!! Sounds became antic, I don't know if there's something wrong with the sound card or the speaker. My computer is about 4 years old, guess it's about time to upgrade to a new one. I will try to get well as soon as possible then I can complete the new Honey Bee items. Thanks for reading this blog and happy simming! :D |

Widow Grey's Cottage
Here are the items that are pictured in my house, but are not included in the download due to the size of the file. If you don't have these items already I do recommend them, since they add a very special touch to the house. Summer is here!
Well, almost! I'm so glad the warm weather is here because I love designing summer wear. Thanks for the wonderful comments--I'm sorry if I haven't been able to respond to everyone.Forthcoming Creations
I hadn't planned on there being such a lag in time until posting my next creaions but last week was quite the rollercoaster. Real life will probably continue to keep me hopping for a while yet but hopefully I can squeeze in a bit more TSR work here and there. The next 2 sets I'm releasing are some summer planter boxes for your Sim patios and gardens - one a collection in wood and another in metal. After they are posted, I hope to finally get around to the nursery theme sets I had planned to add to the theme week.
Minisite
I have a minisite.Shocked. Flabbergasted. Cool. :D
The realization is just now sinking in and there is still no way to quite describe such a euphoric feeling.
I guess I finally need to get my butt into gear and publish the stack of creations loitering on my harddrive.
And before my head gets too big, a huge squishy thank you to TSR (and Thomas, thanks again) and everyone who has given me feedback, comments and constructive criticism (I suddenly feel like I'm at the Grammies or Oscars now...).
Grubby is good!
Tho' I've spent bits of time in the US, Canada and Africa, most of the buildingsI know are European and definitely GRUBBY!!!! (especially Scotland!) The kind of sunny, spotlessly clean walls and floors provided default in the Sims2 game aren't real to me! ;)I make different walls and floors for most of my new buildings, and I hope you enjoy how grubby they get near the ground!!! :)
Airhead
So...You thought the City Airport idea was pretty stupid, huh? Just because you have no idea who might LIVE in an airport. Just because there are no planes in it. Just because you didn't think of it first...
Well, just be glad I DIDN'T go with my original idea of a 'Zoo In Space' lot then!
Snort!

I updated some of the decorations to make them able to place on OFB shelves. By now, I only finished the Honey Bee items, I will finish the others soon. Please check my blog for them later.
