Vintage Victorian Part 3
I hope to have Part 3 of my Vintage Victorian set ready for publication sometime next week. Here's a sneak peek...
So, you think you're all smart now?
You made some stairs, did you? You thought you could take that tutorial and make some modular stairs of your own and you did. Now you're feeling all pompous and self-important, right?Right.
Well, if you think you're THAT good, how would you like to move on to something even EASIER?! Think you're up to the challenge?
Fences. They're so easy you'll wonder why you hadn't thought it up all by yourselves. Well, probably because you needed a guided thump from me, that's why. So, here we are: a new tutorial for you. How to recolour fences...
Well, get on with it, then!
Back injury
Hi everyone! This is my first day back at my desk. I damaged my back in a fall on 24 March. No spinal damage. The torn muscles have healed OK, and I had more concussion than we realised - as dippy as ever!!
I'll be getting back on stream in stages from now on.
Easy flowers - update
The Easy Flowers will require Open For Business expansion pack. Maxis has changed some internal coding with the release of Nightlife, the flowers will not work with anything less than NL. But to be safe I will mark them as OFB required. For those without that expansion pack I will release the new flowers I made in a base game format. They will require gardening but still look as pretty as the ones for OFBFour Seasons
My current project is an embroidered gown in silk/velvet and chiffon which I've actually managed to make in 27 different colours! The gown was inspired by a prom dress I saw at www.gownsbysimpleelegance.com which has a huge number of gorgeous dresses. I've reverted to my old favourite mesh, Giverny, by Rosemat, available from www.pronupsims.net. I notice Rosemat has created some new hairstyles, which is very exciting. The first set of embroidered gowns I've submitted consists of four dresses inspired by the Four Seasons of the year: spring leaves, summer sky, autumn foliage and winter snow. The other 23 variations will follow shortly!
What's New!
Well, I'm still stuck in the Victorian Era. This hooped skirt is really HOT, and uncomfortable, LOL. Part III of the Vintage Victorian Bath sets is mainly recolors of existing set meshes and some NEW meshes. The set features dark mahogany hues that will match the dark wood pieces from the two previous sets. Will soon share a few preview pics of the set. Stay Tuned!
Happy F-Art Day To Me!
Today is the day, precisely one year ago, that TSR was duped into making me a Featured Artist (F-Art for short - just don't use this in MY presence, especially not preceding this abbreviation with 'old').Since that woeful (for you) day, I have cluttered the TSR servers with the worst of creations and foisted upon you the contents of my gutter-worthy imagination. Admittedly, I have made one or two Nice Things too, but that was under threat and duress. My natural talent aspires towards stupid things, like "The Four Miseries" painting collection queueing in my "Coming Soon" list.
Now, who's going to bake me a party-revelling cake with which to celebrate my TSR antiquity?
On track for business success at last?
THIS is my latest cash cow: the Orient Express. Except it's not really from the Orient and, in its permanently stationary way, it's no express either. But, I wanted to make cash whilst sitting on my butt. You see: my Sims are like me. They want to sit on THEIR butts too. So here we are: people PAYING just to be on the Orient Express. People come in to dine, to watch TV, to chat. There's even a small toy shop (read: bad souvenirs, if you will). Oh, and the never-fails-to-earn set of swings.
I'm chortling heartily as the cash rolls in! And as a single toy has yet to be sold, I have no restocking to do either!

I apologise to anyone who has already been on the Orient Express and laments the lack of resemblance to the real thing.
Nostalgic Globe Lights
I just started a new series of lights: Nostalgic globe lights. The park globe lights I just uploaded offer similar combo possibilites as my Schinkel park gas lanterns and will be published on April 11th.
Casual & Sporty
The first set of skins that I'm submitting from my closed Yahoo group will be a mix of casual and sporty. And since I am a Barbie collector, as with a lot of stuff you'll see from me, these are based on Barbie dolls. I'll be adding preview pics here throughout the day.

New Walls and Revamped Floors!
Hi Everyone, Some of you may remember my set of "Natural Stone Floors":
my most popular floor set ever. Well I have been working on them and made a whole new set. This new set is all revamped into diamonds:
and I made a bunch of new walls to match the new floors AND the old floor colors!! Some people may recognize these new floors as being the same exact colors as the original floors, with the exception of no.s 26, 38, 39, 40 and 41. Floors 38 - 41 are all new and 26 is a little more charcoal.
Here are a couple pix of some of the new walls:
So that's what I am busy doing today and tomorrow: uploading all of these walls (310) and floors (41), which should keep me very busy and out of trouble.
Happy Simming!!!
Modern Kitchen
O.k. I have made two recolours of 4esf latest kitchen set. They will come soon. I'm still in progress with making object recolours. So I hope, you'll like them.... Regards Sophia :)Adventures in misadventure
What a time I have had lately! I have been on a bit of an unintended hiatus thanks to some unfortunate computer problems. I seem to have the worst kind of luck with these machines. On and off for about six months I have had some strange problems with my computer, and things got really bad about 6 weeks or so ago. As always, my good friend Fionn (chivalrous gent, he is) came to my rescue, and offered to poke around inside, and see if he could figure out the problem. I quickly sent it along to him and he was able to find and fix the problem. he went ahead and sent it off to me, so I could finally get back to work, but when I recieved the package, it was a mess! Not only was the hard drive damaged, but the case was falling apart on the outside, and bent in some crucial places on the inside, among other problems. It took some to to get the computer to boot up, but it did, and I am able to do certain things on the computer, albeit with a fair amount of difficulty. I am not sure if the damage is more severe than is visibly obvious, but I am in the process of finding out. Until then, I will doing my best to work with the computer as it is, and submit some long overdue updates.
Just wanted to let everyone know why I have been absent, and assure you I will be back on track soon. I would also like to kindly suggest that all of you folks avoid using FedEx for your more delicate shipping needs if you can manage. They have certainly given me my fair share of headaches lately.
Work in progress - easy flowers
I'm making a replacement for my plastic flowers, the new kind of flowers that doesn't require gardening but this time they will come with butterflies. There will be Maxis default flowers (daisies, poppies, etc) plus new flowers like the ones in the picture.
Stripes U Like
I love Waverly's Contempo Bedroom Set, so I decided to recolour it and at the moment I am into stripes...so I hope you won't mind my over indulgance of stripes in this set...I think it's bright and cheerful....coming soon..!!
Cityside Sofa's
I had a go at recolouring the Zecutime Cityside sofa's, it took me a while to figure out how to get the metal frame to match the fabric, but with a little help from 2 fellow FA's I managed to do it, so I have 7 different fabrics and matching frames...coming soon.
Avalon Manor
Oooooooh! This was a big one. I am sorry that I had to submit it 'unfurnished' ... but it was way too big with all the goodies in it (over 13MB). If anyone would like to know where I picked up any particular item pictured in the house ... just PM me and I will send you the link.Closed a Yahoo group
Because my Featured Artist position here takes up most of my Sims creating time, I have decided to scale down some of my other Sims commitments. So, as of today, I have closed one of my Yahoo groups, Sam's Sims 3, which housed skins based on Barbie dolls.(I collect Barbie dolls, so they provide me with lots of inspiration!) I am in the process of moving those files over here to TSR. So be on the lookout over the next few weeks for those. I wil post blog entries with preview pics as I submit them. The World Of Science according to Cyclonesue...
Okay, I'm thoroughly bored of being nice already, so I thought I'd make something else. But first, a test! What do you think THIS is?

It's the LAST one, silly! Wait one moment whilst I pause here to roll eyes and sigh in a very dramatic way... [ cyclonesue rolls eyes and sighs in very dramatic way ]
Now, PLEASE don't ask me what a U-Rod Perplexor actually DOES; you know that will only make me angry. Suffice to say that you can liken it to a floor lamp and be happy.
But don't feel bad if you picked one of the other answers, because ALL these highly radioactive THINGS are in a brand new set of neon artefacts. That will give you ample opportunity to learn the names properly before I come back to test you again!
Another thing that won't do anything...
In ploughing ALL my efforts into making Nice Things, I was unable to reserve any energy for also trying to make something that was actually useful too. So, no changes there, I'm afraid. Therefore, bearing this in mind, I bring to you from my new 'Nice Camp'.... a ladder!Ooh! Exciting, eh? AND.... It DOESN'T work!!! How about that?!

[ insert modest applause here ]
BitzyBus Recolor
At the moment I'm working on a dark wood recolour of BitzyBus Pentago Bathroom. I hope you will like it. Also I have made some clothing sets which based on Sunairs fantastic meshes!Uppdated
I uppdated the Swedish summer set today. Less polygons, proper description and some texture shanges. Should have done this long ago :)
April Fools
Happy April Fool's Day!Here are the walls I've been working on for the FA Spring theme. They have been compressed by 60%, so some of the detail is lost in this image.
Versailles Jewels
I've just submitted Part 2 of my Versailles Corsets series. These are basically just inverted versions of the Part 1 corsets which I thought resulted in a jewel-like appearance. They come in ruby, emerald, aquamarine, amethyst and sapphire. Look out for Part 3 coming soon...Blond wood Victorian Kitchen
This set file has been updated. Due to a site error the counter recolor was missing from the set download. So if you downloaded yesterday, please redownload. Thanks :)Wisp in the sky
My new sets are based on BetterBeSims Arcadia sets. I love these chairs and I hope you do too! I have done three recolours of these, in brown, blue (see below) and grey.

Trying to be NICE!
Yes, it's true. I'm trying to be nice.I've decided to make some NICE things for a change. And dear me, it hurts to do it. I'm making pretty little window boxes that will fit with all the windows made either by Maxis or Windkeeper at standard mid-height.
I am sorely trying to resist the temptation to add the jutting-out end of an old exhaust pipe to the prettiest box! PLEASE don't ask me to do this. I've paid a LOT of money for the 'Upgrade your Tastes' course and I'm nearly done!
Some piccies for you to yawn at in bored fashion...

The flowers in the garden screenshots are really good, and therefore naturally aren't mine. They're by Solfal and a special thanks go to her for making these, and for making them TSRAA so that all us lot builders can use them in the lots we upload at TSR!
Mini Site
Many thanks to TSR for this great little site of my own! I've had such fun designing my banner and playing with the web colors.... now I must turn my attention to creating ... hmmm ... so many things to create ... where shall I start ..LOL!Fashion Fever Finale
*Edited to add preview pics* I am currently working on the last set of skins based on the Fashion Fever set of Barbie dolls and fashions by Mattel. Since I've had some questions about what the actual dolls look like that I am basing this stuff on, I have decided to include a pic of the real things side-by-side with my Sims version.

Sharing Your Stairs
SWW has kindly uploaded a revised copy of the Modular Stairs tutorial. This contains a new single-page section which talks about sharing your stairs with others. If you upload lots, then the custom stairs you use in the lot will work just fine without you needing to do anything, but if you want to share the stairs themselves, you need to explain to downloaders how to install them. Grab a revised copy of the tutorial if you wish to copy a template for some instructions that I've found work really well.
No, that is NOT shameless plugging for even more download numbers!
Hi all!
I want to thank all of you for your very warm welcome! It feels good to be back, you are all so sweet :)I haven't been well lately and I have a lot of pain problems so my computer time is a bit limited but I will hopefully have something new to share with you all soon.
Beauty Magazine
Beauty Magazine published at Judy's Book Store. Mesh from Shannanigan. Coming Soon!!
Versailles Corsets
This evening I've been working on some period-style lingerie, inspired by a beautiful corset I saw at www.vollerscorset.co.uk. As usual with my lingerie, I've used the standard Maxis nude mesh. Part 2 will be following shortly so watch this space...Coming soon - HM doors
Another set to go with Maxis full wall windows - matching solid and glass doors. Thanks to LilyWhyte for the idea of solid doors. The glass doors only slightly different from Maxis original OFB doors - I removed metal parts from the glass and made the door handle smaller. Matching blinds are also complete and waiting to be published. I made 1-tile and 2-tile wide blinds, decided that 3-tile wide would be too much work and little use.
